Disgusting customer service, blatant homophobia, and racism! Avoid!I have never been treated so poorly or felt so unsafe in my entire life. My friends and I walked in and sat down at a table. The waiter clearly saw us. A few minutes later, I walked towards the restroom. Out of nowhere, the waiter started shouting at me in an incredibly aggressive and hostile tone in front of the whole bar, humiliating me publicly.It quickly became obvious that his anger was fueled by deep prejudice and discrimination. He gave my friend, who is Chinese, dirty and incredibly hostile looks from the moment we walked in. His sudden, violent outburst was a targeted, homophobic, and racist attack against our group.If there is a restroom policy, it can be explained politely. There is absolutely no excuse for hatred, racism, and homophobia. This place is dangerous, toxic, and completely unsafe for marginalized groups and the LGBTQ+ community. The staff is deeply unprofessional and full of hate. I will never step foot here again. Save your money and go somewhere where everyone is respected.

A regulars' pub for 30 years and will likely remain so for another 30 years.

One of the waiters was nice, but there's also a woman who doesn't really know how to interact with customers. We ordered a latte macchiato that didn't taste good, and I asked if we could get a new one or a cappuccino. She literally said, "It's the same shit." After she made me a new coffee, it turned out I had to pay for it again. I'm used to getting a replacement if something is returned. The coffee still didn't taste good (more like malt coffee). Either the beans are old or the machine is scaled up. So, for a total of €7 and two sips of coffee, you might as well go to Starbucks.

Can’t even describe in words how good my experience was. I was pretty tired of huge crowds, and then this came along, out of nowhere, on a random wednesday. Lowkey felt more authentic than many places I went to during my one week stay in AMS. The music selection was great - I spent at least 10% of the time shazaming stuff. Hats off, this is a pretty unique place, full of quirky humour. Also, wonderful bathroom sign, haha. Loved it!

It's a place with a very local atmosphere and excellent facilities; however, after we had a pitcher and a half of beer, they asked us to leave if we weren't going to order any more. We weren't there for more than half an hour, so no matter how much you order, they reserve the right to refuse service if they feel you haven't spent enough to cover the bill.

Had a nice time here a few weeks ago. Perfect for a little sit down and rest, with a couple of nice beers. I also enjoyed a bacon sandwich and was offered some home-made soup by the lovely lady at the bar. I will be visiting again next time I'm in town.

Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich! Loved this place, really lovely staff and the best grilled cheese and ham Sandwich we've ever had! They call it a toastie but they're massively undercutting themselves! Went back for another before heading to the airport. Great bar! A must to visit whilst in the Dam!

It is rare that i am brought to tears, but sometimes i cannot help it. The experience i had at susies saloon was one of them. Our waiter, Marie, was simply divine, she catered to everything you could want. I used to think that perfection was only for godly realms, but i been proved a fool. I simply cannot recommend susies saloon enough.

It has a great communal vibe, I loved the decor inside! It made me feel right at home being from the southwest! The waitress Marie was exceptional in her service, a real asset to this establishment! Would definitely recommend!

I discovered this establishment thanks to El Gran Cachuli — legendary poet, bar philosopher, and international reference point for those who still believe in the sacred rituals of morning drinking. His recommendation did not disappoint. The pub is straightforward, unpretentious, and refreshingly human. The atmosphere is warm, the beer is cold, and for a fleeting moment, one can almost forget the burdens of existence.

Spotted this pub randomly walking down the street. Atmosphere inside is brilliant very relaxing and laid back. Pool table and tv with sports on. The service is great, very lovely staff. Recommend!

My friend and I wanted a daytime pub/bar to relax in for a few hours and this was the perfect spot! They have some outdoor seating on the canal, and plenty space inside with multi screen sports. Staff were really fun, bar was very nicely themed and they had a pub cat!

Suzie’s Saloon is a wild and welcoming mix of biker bar, rock pub, and reggae hangout right in the heart of Amsterdam. The vibe is pure character: dreamcatchers, leather jackets, pool tables, and a terrace with a great canal view. The crowd’s friendly, the beers are cold, and the breakfast is surprisingly solid for a place that looks this badass. Music leans heavy on rock but with the occasional reggae groove sneaking in, though sometimes the volume hits “concert level,” so conversation can be a challenge. Still, if you’re after real atmosphere instead of tourist fluff, Suzie’s delivers big time.

Susie’s is where I had my first cocktail here in Amsterdam. Love the atmosphere, music and service. I did not try the food so I couldn’t rate it. The cocktail I chose was the Pornstar Martini. It was too sweet of a drink for me, but had to try it. Definitely recommend this place at least once while you’re here. PS the price shown was per drink.

This place can be very busy but it's location is perfect. I'd recommend sitting outside and enjoy to ambiance of the city along the canal.

This place used to be good. I visited three times over the weekend and on all 3 occasions the music was all generic radio airplay, no metal/hard rock sadly. I visited back in 2018 and had extremely fond memories...shame....
