His recommendation did not disappoint. The pub is straightforward, unpretentious, and refreshingly human. The atmosphere is warm, the beer is cold, and for a fleeting moment, one can almost forget the burdens of existence.

Spotted this pub randomly walking down the street. Atmosphere inside is brilliant very relaxing and laid back. Pool table and tv with sports on. The service is great, very lovely staff. Recommend!

Wouldve been a decent bar, shame about the incredibly rude barman who doesn’t respect women.

The music was a bit too loud, but the waitress was particularly unpleasant. (Mistake, we ordered cider and received beer.)

A good bar to have a beer, excellent atmosphere and very friendly staff

My friend and I wanted a daytime pub/bar to relax in for a few hours and this was the perfect spot! They have some outdoor seating on the canal, and plenty space inside with multi screen sports. Staff were really fun, bar was very nicely themed and they had a pub cat!

Suzie’s Saloon is a wild and welcoming mix of biker bar, rock pub, and reggae hangout right in the heart of Amsterdam. The vibe is pure character: dreamcatchers, leather jackets, pool tables, and a terrace with a great canal view. The crowd’s friendly, the beers are cold, and the breakfast is surprisingly solid for a place that looks this badass. Music leans heavy on rock but with the occasional reggae groove sneaking in, though sometimes the volume hits “concert level,” so conversation can be a challenge. Still, if you’re after real atmosphere instead of tourist fluff, Suzie’s delivers big time.

Susie’s is where I had my first cocktail here in Amsterdam. Love the atmosphere, music and service. I did not try the food so I couldn’t rate it. The cocktail I chose was the Pornstar Martini. It was too sweet of a drink for me, but had to try it. Definitely recommend this place at least once while you’re here. PS the price shown was per drink.

This place can be very busy but it's location is perfect. I'd recommend sitting outside and enjoy to ambiance of the city along the canal.

I had a really disappointing experience at Susie’s Saloon. The bartender was rude and condescending, even mocking me while I was trying to place my order. Definitely not the kind of service I expect when going out. Would not recommend.

This place used to be good. I visited three times over the weekend and on all 3 occasions the music was all generic radio airplay, no metal/hard rock sadly. I visited back in 2018 and had extremely fond memories...shame....

En una de las calles más turísticas del mundo, este refugio amistoso y a un precio razonable es un hallazgo bienvenido. No se puede batir una pinta de Grolsch por € 5. Servicio excepcional y buena música en la tarde cuando el propietario no está mandando hard rock.

The worst bar I have ever tried. The bartender is rude. I literally stood there waiting for orders about 10 minutes. And I asked if they still taking orders. The woman said “ go somewhere else”. Definitely don’t recommend this bar. Worst service I have ever experienced. If you don’t know how to respect people, shut the door, especially for Asian customers.

the service was nice and very quick. The bar cat is a plus point :-) Unfortunately, the toilets weren't clean and smelled, and the music was way too loud. The happy hour price on their website is incorrect... a pint now costs €5. which is fine, but advertising with €3 and then taking €5 is not fair.

Unwelcoming and Discriminatory Experience I recently visited Susie Sallon in Amsterdam and felt deeply uncomfortable and unsafe due to the discriminatory behavior I encountered. From the moment I walked in, I was treated as though I did not belong. A staff member with blonde, oxygenated hair, though she was a Viking for having that hair? who seemed to be in charge, made it very clear through her actions and attitude that foreigners, flashing racist signs. As someone who has traveled extensively, l've never experienced such blatant exclusion and prejudice. The environment gave off a hostile, white supremacist vibe, making it impossible to enjoy or feel safe. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values respect and equality. Be aware before visiting, especially if you are a person of color or a foreigner. I have reported this incident to the authorities and strongly urge others to avoid this establishment.

I’ve visited Amsterdam 30+ times and I’ll always make an effort to stop in for a few pints during happy hour. Great central bar that has a good mix of tourists and locals. Sport on constantly, cool music (usually some sort of rock), nice decking on the canal and also a separate smoking room. Can’t wait to come back and spend some time at the bar.

Bartender was cool. Joy division? New order? CCR? Motörhead? I felt at home. Beautiful place. I didn’t have any food but it’s a great bar and the outside area at night is amazing.

La mujer que me atendió fue extremadamente agresiva y más o menos me estaba diciendo que me fuera a la mierda nada más llegar al bar , procedió a burlarse de mí por pedir una cerveza pequeña y se negó a servirme una bebida que estaba en su menú porque no le apetecía , después de esto me gritaron por pedir una bebida pequeña con un vaso para mi novia Toda la experiencia fue desagradable, y su actitud fue muy amenazante No recomendaría este establecimiento a cualquiera que busque una experiencia agradable.

A Rugby bar, with some good cheaper beers, especially at happy hour 3:30-6:00pm.

Justo en el primer canal en el barrio rojo de Amsterdam. Un lugar favorito para los lugareños y turistas también. El personal es como la familia y muy amable. Pero como son como la familia, tienes que tratarlos como familia también. La cocina está abierta para el desayuno y el almuerzo. Después del almuerzo, puede escanear un menú de un lugar de entrega local con excelentes alimentos holandeses para beber.

The service is bad, they don't particularly care about the tables by the canal, they have rude staff. This is the place we chose and regretted because of its location.

The staff here is extremely unfriendly. I asked for a charger and offered to pay and they yelled at me. Then I go up and asked for a water and got a lot of attitude. It stinks, it’s sticky, and the drinks suck. Do not waste your time here. DID I MENTION THE STAFF IS RUDE????

Cool place, decent beer, absolutely atrocious staff; unhygienic, boorish, and catty, the staff at Susie’s Saloon might’ve been the single worst bunch of people that I ever had the misfortune of happening upon.

That’s a amazing place in Amsterdam, it’s so fun, happy... The drinks are so good with a great cost. I definitely recommend that :)

I’m not one to leave reviews usually however the man/woman (honestly not sure) that served us mocked my partner for being lactose intolerant, mocked her for ordering beans on toast for breakfast and rolled their eyes and huffed when I asked for no egg on my meal. They then sat at the bar and was talking about disagreeing with customers, and that if the customer doesn’t like how they are being treated then they can F off! They also didn’t believe me when I asked for beans on toast, so I had to show them the menu to prove it was on it. The food was alright, definitely not an English breakfast though, the only thing that tasted nice was the sausage. The toast was freezing cold and there was no hash brown or black pudding. They then sat at the bar drinking shots with another couple who came in, was shouting and swearing the entire time we were eating our meal. As soon as we finished we left, as the entire atmosphere felt hostile, like we were not welcome. Next door seemed much more welcoming and well be trying them tomorrow.

We looked for a pub for a beer after our visit to the fair and fell in love straight away! Great music, cold beer, nice people! We will definitely come back from Germany to spend a great evening there!
