Dante is a very good Colombian Chef. I tried the Mondongo soup (made with cow tripe or stomach). It really brought me memories of my beloved Venezuela. It was -1 outside so a hot delicious soup was amazing. My son tried the empanadas, chicken and cheese, SIMPLY DELICIOUS. Good prices. Good portions. Great service. Good Latin music. And we got a lollipop as a present. Thanks! We will be back! 😄

I came in here not really sure what to get but excited to try new food, the staff were extremely hospitable and offered some nice reccomendations and helpful advice in terms of portion size and everything. I ordered half a patacone with beef and chicken, a smoothie, an arrepa and an empanada. It was literally soooo good. Im definitely going to keep coming back until i've tried the whole menu. Such a neat spot for Nijmegen, happy I found it !!

If you are thinking of going there, think twice. It's a scam. The experience amounts to paying too much for a dish that does not match the description or photo on the menu. You get a mediocre attempt at an empanada or arepa with no flavor or ingredients, and they expect us to pay 15+ euros for it. It's really not worth it. When you pay, you're given the option to leave a tip that starts at $1 – how can you say no to that when the cashier is staring at you while you decide? They practically urge you to do it. The place is very small and uncomfortable. You are lucky if you leave the building feeling satisfied and satiated. This is not a representation of Colombian or Aruban food and is clearly made without passion or love! Unfortunately.

Loved the food here—super unique and tasty! They did mix up part of our order, but honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. Maybe it was a happy accident, because everything we tried was great. If you’re looking for something different with flavors that stand out, this place is worth a visit. Just double-check your order if you’re picky, but otherwise, dig in and enjoy!

Was in Nijmegen for a festival and chanced upon this gem of a place! Highly recommend the pandebono and the jackfruit patacones. :)

Yesterday I ate an empanada of so-called meat and chicken, I counted 1 piece of pulled pork and 3 strings of "pulled chicken" with 20 grams of potatoes worthless... Bai gaña baka!!!

It is a very small restaurant, and I personally didn't find it very atmospheric. There is a small terrace at the front, so when the sun shines you can sit outside. The staff is friendly. What I found a bit strange was that you had to pay in advance, including a tip. I found the food a bit on the dry side.

Already reminiscing about this place. The food was really great and good portions! It took me back to getting food after nights out on my island. The atmosphere was nice with Latin music playing in the background and everyone there was super friendly. The only thing that I was disappointed in was that they had already sold out of some few things by the time we got there. So next time will be calling ahead to see what is all available still. We ordered piña colada as well and they definitely didn't skimp out on the alcohol, yes, please 😜 all in all, nice place to eat and very envious of those living in Nijmegen that get to go here whenever!

Super tasty Colombian food, flavors , the staff and the Latino music in the restaurant make you feel like in Colombia. Recommendations? Try batido de lulo and any arepa.

As a colombian I love coming here, most “latin-american” restaurants disappoint me in The Netherlands. This however doesn’t. The food is great, the people are nice and it tastes just like home!

Taste of Home did fill my tummy and soul! The queso empanada was nice, but the carne mechada arepa was amazing! It is quite big, the meat was juicy and well-spiced, among with the queso and sauces made a wonderful combination. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the things ok the menu. I ate delicious warm food and wasn’t hungry for only 12,5€

Ordered lunch today, had a delicious arepa with pulled pork (beef) and a patty (beef). Generous portion! You can taste that it is all home made, the arepa is delicious beyond expectations!! Will definitely order more often.

The food is very good, the wait time needs to be improved but the rest of the waiter is very friendly and the PATACON is incredible 🤙🏽

It is located on the most beautiful street in the city. Their pandebono is from another world, we also ate empanadas and fritters accompanied by Postobón drinks ✨

Food is very expensive compared to what one gets. Ordered peanut sauce fries with 2 satay skewers, thought I would get something different than what one can order in a chip shop in Nijmegen, but not. Fries were bad and it would have been better to order them in a chip shop, it would have been cheaper and tastier. Glasses were also dirty, had to ask for 2 new ones!!! People automatically pay a 10% tip, which I find retarded and I think is prohibited!!! Sorry but expected much better. A plus point, service was friendly.

As if you were in a small place in Bogota or Santa Marta. Really delicious food, and my Colombian girlfriend was also thrilled. All in all, highly recommended. The drinks are also authentic, Postobon, Pony, Aguila and la Colombiana.

Delicious food, fantastic service and cozy atmosphere! Absolutely recommended, distinguishes itself by offering Caribbean dishes. Something that cannot be found elsewhere in Nijmegen and therefore unique. I will definitely come back here more often.

Amazing colombian food and snacks. The flavours were authentic and reminded me of home. We came during the Vierdaagsefeesten so the offer was limited but nevertheless we ordered a beef Arepa and a Salchipapa with chicken with two Agua de Panelas as drinks and it was amazing. The Agua the Panelas had the authentic colombian taste.

Great taste of colombian food. We got meat, chicken, and cheese empanadas that were great. We continued with buñuelos, that were delicious. We finished with an amazing quesillo for dessert. Also, the staff was very kind. 100% recommended!

Recommended if you want something different for lunch. Delicious sandwiches and arepas. With the sunny terrace and the tropical background music, it's like you're on holiday.

My favorite restaurant in Nijmegen Bendishon

Delicious authentic Aruban & Colombian food! It's been a while since I've been able to have food that reminded me so much of back home. The service was amazing; Workers were super patient and polite (we were a big group of people). Their energy was also super inviting, felt like I walked right into the island again :). Drinks were all Caribbean/South American of origin (as well as the basics such a Cola, etc.); These are really uncommon to find here in the Netherlands so it was so nice to be able to find them all in one place. I highly recommend anyone to check it out whether you're from the Caribbean area or not because the flavors and the atmosphere will be delightful for anyone! Can't wait for the chance to stop by again.

Had to wait more than an hour for our food, just to get the wrong dish... The food may be rather authentic, but only go there if you're not hungry and have a lot of time to spare.

As a Aruban, I was excited to see a restaurant where they sell Aruban and Colombian dishes here in Nijmegen. Getting to eat and enjoy typical food that I grew up with here in Nijmegen was such an experience. The atmosphere was great, filled with music that adds to the South American vibe. A variety of food and drink choices on their menu to try and enjoy. Nijmegen got the taste of home now 😉🇦🇼🇨🇴
