Very good food, underrated. Especially for take away, can dine in but its not an restaurant

Ordered 2x pad Thai and 1x khao pad (baked rice)! I was very impressed with the authentic Thai flavor of their dishes each time. Pricey, but generous portions and very tasty! This was the first time we had them delivered. We were quite hungry, so we went straight in, but quickly noticed that there was far too much sauce in both pad Thai dishes, so much so that it wasn't enjoyable to eat. Meanwhile, my son had only eaten the shrimp, but didn't like the rest of the pad Thai either due to the excessive sauce. I then politely explained exactly as above, but unfortunately, the man on the phone got so angry that he initially said we'd take it back unless it was eaten. To which I replied, "The shrimp were out. Perhaps you could replace one dish instead of two." He then mumbled something like, "I don't feel like it!" and hung up! I called back again and got a woman on the phone, but she also hung up. Very rude and I was never rude for a moment even though I ordered for more than €60!

Easily the best Thai food in Amsterdam. Amazing quality & the owners are so nice & welcoming. Thai green chicken curry & the prawn spring rolls are life changing.

Today I ordered a delicious meal here, very friendly staff and the delivery was definitely the fastest in Amsterdam, especially that boy with glasses.

The best Thai food in Amsterdam, imo. Just that it's mostly a takeaway place with a few seats that are better when the weather is good. The prices are more like dine in prices than takeaway prices but it's so good so it's a nice treat

I recently had a delicious soup and satay here, and I took home a keang deang curry. The food came in generous portions; you could even share the curry between almost three people! I definitely recommend it; the food was so delicious that this is my new favorite Thai restaurant, and I'll definitely be back to experience the delicious Thai cuisine.

Very untimely delivery. When you order takeout you rely on the time estimate each store shows. I find it unacceptable when they compete with others by simply lying with regards to the delivery time. This store was showing to be the fastest to deliver, yet it took them over an hour to even get the food out the door, even when they claimed 30 mins total delivery time. When I called them they said they can’t do anything because it’s so busy. Yes, you can do something - provide accurate information on the delivery time rather than promising to be the fastest. I do not recommend.

One of our favorite Thai restaurants in Amsterdam. It’s take away rather than an eat in destination. But you can now order at Nang Kwok, and they will deliver to Cafe Loman (fun local pub with great selection of beers on tap) which has a terrace two doors down.

Some of the orders were incorrect (chicken instead of shrimp) and some of the orders were absent.

We ordered number 15 (vegetables with tofu) and number 18 (chicken cashew nuts, with extra vegetables). The taste of both dishes was okay, but quite salty. But the extra vegetables were impossible to find in the chicken cashew dish, there were hardly any vegetables. The container was not even completely full and it contained mainly mediocre quality chicken meat with some unclear pieces of animal. The vegetable tofu dish also had some coarsely chopped pieces of vegetables, but was a moderate portion. Before the crowds and the long wait (30 minutes) we got some tasty mini spring rolls. All in all a disappointment, the crowds won't have helped. But for 20 euros per dish we expect more from the food. The service was also friendly and attentive.

Delicious Thai food and great that it is also Halal food. Super satisfied with this eatery, see you soon!!!

Picked up here for the first time yesterday. Very friendly staff and the Pad Thai with chicken was fantastic!! I have never eaten such a tasty Pad Thai in Amsterdam before. I'm a big eater and for me the portion could have been a little bigger, but that's all I can say about it. We will definitely be back soon!

A part of me wants to keep this gem a secret, but it would be cruel to keep the best Thai food in Amsterdam a secret. I've lived in Thailand, and can say with all confidence that these ladies are doing it right! Another huge positive is that they're able to accommodate for Gluten-Free dietary concerns!

Wij bestellen supervaak bij dit restaurant, onze favoriete thai op dit moment! Heerlijke authentieke smaken en vaak voorgerechtjes en kroepoek van het huis. Zo lief. Onze favoriet is de vega masaman curry met tahoe en aardappel. Maar alles wat je besteld is lekker! En lekker oldskool telefonisch bestellen, geen gedoe met een app die je continue in de gaten moet houden. Toppie. En als het wat langer duurt, snap ik niet dat mensen niet even bellen? Een restaurant runnen is keihard werken en deze mensen zullen je netjes te woord staan. Ik wacht liever wat langer dan dat het er in 20 min is en niet vers. Amazing Thai food, local atmosphere!

Het eten was niet echt indrukwekkend, zo iets kan je ook thuis maken. We moesten ook 45 minuten wachten op 2 soepen en 2 pad thais.

Tom kha kai soep was erg zoet. Heb het weg gegooid. Was niet hoe het had moeten zijn. Viskoekjes waren erg lekker.

Viskoekjes hadden bijna geen smaak, slechts een beetje kaffir limoen blaadjessmaak. Pad thai was goed wel weer aan de te zoete kant. En Er zat broccoli in !!! Een persoon is daar allergisch voor en kan het niet eten maar broccoli staat niet in de beschrijving en heeft verder niets met authentieke Pad thai te maken. Gebakken rijst heeft ook niets met Thaise keuken te maken, zoet, niet gekruid en ik vermoed ketjap manis uit de indonesische keuken (ik heb dit in het verleden gebruikt zien worden) en weer stukken broccoli en kool. Ik Had verder een inktvis gerecht genomen nummer 34, zat wat inktvis in die was ok van smaak maar verder vis in beslag welke klef en niet lekker was. Dit stond ook weer niet niet in de beschrijving. Verder was het gerecht veel te zout, wel lekker pittig. Kortom dit is geen authentieke thaise keuken en nooit geweest met de oude eigenaar maar we hadden hoop dat het echt goed zou zijn. Erg jammer maar wij zullen hier niet meer komen. Advies aan eigenaar en team: jullie kunnen echt thais koken want allen thais, doe het dan ook is mijn advies van buurtbewoner en met aandacht. Succes! PS reviews die zo positief zijn zijn van mensen die blijkbaar de thaise keuken niet kennen

Wir sind zufällig bei diesem Restaurant gewesen. Das ist uns aber sehr gut ausgegangen! Das Essen war wirklich lecker und das Personal super freundlich. Völlig zu empfehlen!

We hebben online besteld, alles was op de afgesproken tijd klaar. De gerechten waren heerlijk en het was ruim voldoende! We hadden de Pad prieuw Waan met kip, een heerlijke Yam neau, goed gekruid en smakelijk, een Pad ped poh teak met werkelijk alle lekkere ingrediënten en de Pad Thai met beef. Heerlijk gegeten, de service was uitstekend wat een ontzettend fijn restaurant om in de buurt te hebben!!

Delicious fresh Thai food delivered at home. It tasted exactly like in Thailand. They did make a mistake in the order by delivering rice instead of noodles (while noodles are a 5 euro surcharge) for one dish and the delivery took quiet long. As it was a busy Sunday evening the delivery time was not so bothersome

De bezorging duurde langer dan verwacht en was daarnaast incompleet (de mie die we bij één van de gerechten hadden besteld ontbrak). De smaak van de gerechten was verder prima.

Via thuisbezorgd hier besteld..voorgerechten redelijk, hoofdgerecht (noodles met beef) vet, klef en zoet,.met weinig verse groenten. Dank voor de reactie.. na 6 maanden..

Werkelijk het beste Thaise eten dat ik in Amsterdam heb gegeten. Heerlijke geuren lachen je tegemoet als je er langs loopt. In de keuken staan ervaren en lieve dames het eten voor te bereiden met liefde. En er zal vast wel een keer iets niet goed gaan maar met zo’n bevlogen eigenaresse aan het roer wordt iedereen die op zijn of haar wenken bediend. Ga zo door! Ps. Ook een shout-out naar de bezorgers want die komen netjes op tijd het eten warm leveren.

All the dishes we ordered were very sweet. Pad kraprauw was swimming in soy and oyster sauce, really not the spicy and aromatic stir-fry dish that I love. Nothing tasted very authentic, it was rather a Western adaptation of Thai food.

It's a nice combination of a cosy Thai interior and a full view of a modern kitchen. Really liked the food.

So far the best thai food I’ve had in Amsterdam. Tried the simple stuff: Pad thai was not overcooked and the balance of flavours was almost spot on (could have done with a hint of lime). Red curry was great. Clearly everything was fresh. In the takeaway category, this is a surprisingly good discovery.

You will find the warmest & most welcoming people at Nang Kwak. Amazing food, from starters to main dishes! Very happy to have found a new favorite authentic, down to earth, Thai restaurant in Amsterdam.

Heerlijk gegeten! Eten werd bezorgd als de aangegeven tijd en was nog heet. De sate was verrukkelijk en de gebakken rijst met Beef was eveneens lekker. Een aanrader!

Amazing thai ! One of the best i had.

One of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had. The red Penang curry was full of flavour, and the perfect consistency. The pad Thai was also delicious. The curry could have done with a little more chicken, but other than that, this is by far one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to.

13 Khao pad. besteld en in de regel redelijk goede ervaring met deze Thai. Maar deze keer echt minimale hoeveelheid, half gevuld bakje kleffe smakeloze rijst met vlees. Teleurstellend voor 16,50 euro
