The best burger I've had in Amsterdam! Although I do think the price is too high, it's the best burger but it's still a burger with no fries included, if the extra patties or the fries came included with the price or there was a combo option with slightly lowered price, I'd probably order way more often from this place

Becoming a city institution for the way they cook burgers, a must for burger lovers and very very good at what they do.

Still rather expensive for fast food style burgers but good, nice place but very noisy. Professional and pleasant staff.

First time we went, unfortunately we have not been impressed. Maybe we expected a little more. The burgers are small, although they are ok, not bad. The salad was tasty. French fries too fried in my opinion. The decoration of the establishment is curious and fun.

Decent burger place in a quiet area of Amsterdam. Tasty smashburger and also a buttermilk fried chickenburger. Decent helping of cheese fries but the cheese covering seemed almost watery. Service was ok but not more than that.

I recently had the Spicy Chicken Burger at The Beef Chief Oost, and it was delicious! The burger had just the right amount of spice and was well prepared. However, the choice of music was less appropriate. Gangsta rap was playing in the background, which in my opinion didn't really fit the atmosphere of the restaurant and wasn't pleasant to listen to. At the time I was there I was the only customer. The service was friendly, but seemed more interested in the smartphone than in the customers. This gave a somewhat disinterested impression. All in all the food was excellent but there is room for improvement in the choice of music and attention from the staff.

One of the best smash burgers in Amsterdam. Highly recommend trying the kimchi fries too, a must order whenever we stop by Beef Chief.

The burgers were a bit small, so ordered 2 per person. I wanted it well done and initially got medium, but that was corrected well. The atmosphere at our time was not very pleasant with busy, crying children. They can't do anything about that, but that's a shame. Pickup was great and fast 👍

Take away from this restaurant. We had a very tasty meal at home, great service and the food was ready very quickly. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Food is good but pricey. We’ve ordered from here regularly. Today we attempted to dine in but after asking for our food 1,5 hours earlier and seeing people around us finishing their food and leaving, we were told we they forgot. They had a miscommunication in their kitchen, apparently. We weren’t the only ones in limbo: table next to us didn't get their food, either. In short, we'll never dine in again :) Perhaps they should become an order-only kitchen.

Very bad experience. Unfortunately we were waiting 1h for our food, others who came in later got their food before us. not enough (but very friendly) staff, online orders are coming before in-house customers, chaotic system with orders getting lost apparently.

Cool place. Away from the tourist town centre of Amsterdam. Very much reminded me of restaurants in Vancouver Canada where I'm from!

Burgers were delicious 5/5. First of all I order and I come here often. Service could have been good, could have been bad - but it was non existent so no way to know! Many times when ordering it says unavailable - so we went on location and there were two clients - and staff was chilling chatting and checking their phones and not paying attention to the customers. I understand not being able to order due to it being busy but this is just lazy… Really amazing food… I just wish the service was at the same level; on top of that, some French guy (the owner I think) was there and did not give a single fart about what was going on…

Seems delicious, but had trouble finishing even half. Why? Way way too much salt in the burger.

This place is awesome! Everything is so good. Smash burgers are proper delicious with soft melty bread. The fries are exceptional! Extra crispy with good variety of sauce options. They also have a really good home made cookie thats kind of salty and Delicious for your walk home! Love it!

Super tasty burgers! We both had the Fry me a River burger. My friend said one of the tastiest burgers he had ever eaten. In addition, the location is also nicely decorated and the staff is friendly and fast. Recommended!

I have now been twice and it was the same twice: super tasty food and cozy atmosphere, but the service is really not up to par. It wasn't even busy and the burger was wrong and a side was forgotten. What a shame that this beautiful place misses the mark twice. 3rd time lucky? So for now, 3/5.

I got the Sampah burger which was amazing, the cheesy fries where a bit over fried (super crunchy tho), and the atmosphere was super chill! Would totally recommend.

2/9/2024 - The best burgers in the Netherlands. I recommend ordering a smash burger.

We Order it online and the burger and fries were amazing. Definitely will go there soon or order it again. The smash patty is really juicy and tasty. Fries are also fresh and good. The portions are also enough. Definitely recommend it.

Probably the best burger place in Amsterdam! Tried the Kimchi burger this time and it was amazing. Juicy burger. Just the right amount of spice. Tangy, sour kimchi flavor. Absolutely love the vibe. Friendly service.

Never had a bad burger here, always epic! And the chicken wings, absolute favorite! I do miss the chicken and fries, and the steak and fries on the menu though. Staff is always very friendly. Great place to dine in or takeaway (which I do too often as I live around the corner 😄)

We have been for the first time at The Beef Chief Oost and besides being really close to home, which is an advantage, it was an amazing experience. Service was fast and attentive and the food was incredible. The chicken burger was SO GOOD and it matched perfectly with the cheesy fries. We also got the cauliflower which was crispy, spicy and tender.. All together! :) For sure recommended to everyone, kids and adults! :)

Ik ben er nu twee keer geweest en als ik de naam hoor, krijg ik al honger en trek in een burger. De beste burgers on the planet, keus uit veel verschillende sause, goede hip hop over de speakers en vriendelijk personeel.

Hele goede burgers, maar een onacceptabele service. Ben nu al 2,5 uur op m’n bestelling aan het wachten die telkens met een half uur wordt verlengd. Geen telefoon nummer om ze te bereiken. Ronduit slecht. 1 ster Poging 2: Bestelling binnen een half uur bezorgd (dit keer via Uber Eats). De burger blijft heerlijk, dus de rating gaat terug omhoog na deze positieve ervaring. 4 sterren.

Juicy and delicios burgers! Fry me a river, kimchief 💚 I recommend Koren fried cauliflowers as well, they are absolutely delicious!

Знаєте, я пробував багато бургерів, в різних країнах, але це — найкращий. Котлети medium-rare, дуже умамі, чеддер врзриваючий мозок. І соуси і булочка — це квінтесенція бургеру. Mhm. This is a tasty burger!

Duuuuuude. This burger is so good. Amsterdam is saturated with mediocre hamburgers but his place is actually different. Actually good. Literally in another dimension from all that basic burger stuff in the center. The rest of the menu is exciting too. I think about eating here like, days in advance. Its a destination. You have to go. I bet Anne Frank would have snuck out at night to eat this burger. Just saying.

Kudos to the girl working here! She’s an angel and her service is exceptional. On top of that, we enjoyed our food! We had the fry me a river burger, kamikaze fries and we finished our meal with a cute ice cream sandwich and they were all tasty! Def recommend!

Best burger place in Amsterdam in my humble opinion. I loved their burgers before at Oedipus and I’m happy to report the new location did not disappoint.

We returned and our expectations were exceeded! We had the Point Break chicken burger (juicy and a nice hint of spiciness), the Fry me a river burger (a classic!) and the Chido fries (with pico de gallo, delicious and refreshing). We’ll come back soon! Also for the cheesecake again.

The smashed burgers were so good, almost like a cheesesteak. This is the kind of burger you will get a craving for and hop on your bike to get one. The Korean fried cauliflower in honey with white & black sesame seeds is also a delight. It was just delicious.

J ai reçu ma commande presque froide, hamburger bon mais froid, assez petit pour le prix. Je m attendais à avoir des chips de pommes de terre moelleuses , elles étaient sèches dures et froides . Dommage également qu on ne peut pas commander des bières ou pepsi avec son repas.

We live around the corner, its’s our first visit. So happy we discovered this little gem. The crispy fried cauliflower was really amazing. Also the 2 burgers were very tasteful. Nice people. We will be back and I recommend this place. Go there and taste yourself!

The food was really greasy. Ordered a classic smash burger with cheese but the cheese was dripping off the burger. Beef quality seems really good though, shame that the burger was drenched in oil. Kimchi burger was better. Service was great, good drinks choices

We ate here on Friday, and couldn't stop talking about it the whole weekend! The burgers were absolutely delicious and made with care. The fries are cut like pickles, perfectly crispy and soft with just the right amount of cheese sauce. We will be back!!

This place was hyped by some friends so I had some expectations that unfortunately weren’t met, the fries were chips, all too crispy and hard for my taste, the chicken wings were old, tried one that tasted fishy, dry, the bone was all black and was afraid to touch the rest. I had the kimchi burger which was actually a good burger, unfortunately overall for 29 euro it was disappointing. I had a take away, the girl at the counter was nice and polite, as well as the man that handed me my order.

Tried the smashed burger (fry me a river) and the smashed fries. Both were very good. The burger is medium sized, but the fries portion is huge. So a burger and fries is more than enough. So maybe share the fries with someone 😅

The burgers weren't as good as hyped! The blue cheese dressing had gone bad and tasted funky. Same for the red cabbage slaw that was served over the burger.. That too tasted like it had spoilt. Overall the food didn't taste as good as it should due to spoilt condiments that were smeared on the burger buns. The weather is quite warm now so they should remember to keep these mayo /cheese based sauces in the fridge to avoid spoilage. Also in most places burgers usually come with a small side of either fries or a salad or both.... Was disappointed to see just the burger with nothing on the side!

Try the chicken sandwich for lunch. It’s the best.
