We had a wonderful meal here! The kapsalon was delicious, super fresh and delicious. Friendly owners who brought us good service.

I had the Rubens sandwich and a BLTA, oh my gosh, it was delicious! Smoothies and drinks. Everything was delicious! Even my non-vegetarian teenager loved it!

As always super delicious. The carrot cake was smooth yet fluffy with a rich taste of pistachio. The avocado toast with yummy bread and a hard crust in combination with the nuts makes me salivate. The iced coffee hits just right with the dishes 💝

A place we love to go to. Super friendly people and delicious food. One of the few places in Almere where you can eat healthy with kids. Delicious!!

We had a surprise baby shower here. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly, and they decorated it beautifully with beautiful balloons! We had a really lovely time.

For that very expensive price, the glasses could use a bit more cleaning. We were there yesterday, and I didn't find the glasses particularly clean. My apologies for that.

Had a delicious lunch! The smoothies and the bitterbal sandwich are highly recommended. (The homemade brownie too.) The service and hospitality are excellent!!

Fantastic high tea and super friendly staff!

This used to be a place I went to daily. Even during the lockdown period, during a walk outside, quickly get take-away coffee in the cold or in the summer get a smoothie and go shopping in the city. After the new owners, I went less often. Until the first quarter of this year. Got quite sick from the food. Ordered: the hamburger with a smoothie. Complaints of diarrhea, really quite severe vomiting and a nosebleed. Shared the complaints with the owners by email. Never received a response. I never went back either. Very intense negative experience due to the physical complaints. A week because of this, my physical condition was very weak. Nazila Abdi

Had a delicious vegetarian high tea...

Was really disappointed by the granola bowl :( I came really excited to try it out. You could say it was more of a yoghurt cup put in a bowl. It was not even real yoghurt either. Just a small sprinkle of granola. One strawberry sliced in 5 pieces and about 8 blueberries. It was so disheartening, especially since I’m a local in the area and would have loved supporting this place. I wouldn’t pay for this kind of “breakfast” again, as there wasn’t any substance to it ☹️ service was slow too even though the place was empty. 😔

I would say okay, not my style but many people i think will like just not my type and the menu so limited, so i took granola with yogurt. Was good

Delicious Hi-Tea done. Friendly staff. The location is a bit of a problem, along a busy road with cars.

Very uncomfortable chairs, very high prices, lack of menu in English I think and horrible smell of old oil.

Even though I had a last-minute request for a Snickers cake, it was still possible to pick it up the next day. Delicious cake! I will definitely order more often :)

Very disappointed.. We have been ordering here regularly for some time now. Normally this goes well. Now we had ordered the beloved red velvet cake for my mother's birthday again. On the day indicated I came to pick up the cake neatly after 12 o'clock in the afternoon, only to be told that no order had come in. While I had actually paid and received the confirmation by email. Quite a lot had gone wrong with the orders. It seemed to be mixed up. The lady behind the counter seemed to find it genuinely annoying for us, but the gentleman didn't seem to care much. With great difficulty they offered to make a completely different cake, but I would have to wait at least half an hour for that. Another order had come through, so I suggested that I could perhaps take that cake with me, so that he could make a new one for those people in that half hour, since they weren't there yet. This turned out not to be an option. The only other option was that I could get my money back. There I went, out of the store, with the money back in my pocket, but without a cake for my birthday mother. And then go find a vegan red velvet cake on the spot, that you promised your mother..

Last time I ordered a cake for a birthday, it was great again and highly recommended. I also ate there and it was also delicious, so highly recommended.

WORTHLESS If you order 2 days in advance, actually 2.5 days in advance as stated on their website, the order has not been received. Was told when picking up at the store. They were also unable to solve the problem on the spot. So no cake for my birthday. I'm really bummed!

Always great with Rodney and Xiomara. They recognize the (regular) guests, even if you only come a few times a year. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious Vegan High Tea at the Black Cockatoo. The sweet part in particular was great! The savory sandwiches could receive a little more attention, but overall very tasty and nicely decorated!

Je hebt in Almere niet veel vegetarische opties. Gelukkig kun je hier terecht voor goede vegetarische gerechten. Aanrader!

Delicious food. My husband can finally have lunch somewhere without having to worry about getting sick (lactose intolerant). Staff is also very friendly and the atmosphere is just homely ♡

I had a wonderful lunch here with my son! At first we did not immediately realize that this was a vegan restaurant, but I had no problem with that. My son needed a moment to process this... 😆 But when the plates of food were served, his opinion was quickly changed. It was delicious! We had a chat with the owner and said we would definitely come and eat here again! (if it were up to us, we'd work through the list).😁 It's that you can only give 5 stars, but you deserve 10!

The Black Cockatoo also provides lunch at your home! Soup, sandwiches and delicious cake (especially the chocolate cherries), we enjoyed it!

Fantastic, recommended! A small restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu with the tastiest (homemade!) dishes: vegetarian, vegan, among others. Savory and sweet. Original dishes that have been put together with a lot of creativity and a sense of good taste by the enthusiastic owners.

The owners are incredibly attentive and welcoming, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The seating options are very nice, offering a panoramic view through the window. To top it off, their Chai Latte is truly exceptional—the best I've ever had. Will definitely come back soon :)

I have been to The Black Cockatoo several times in recent months and what a pleasant atmosphere, you will receive a friendly and warm welcome! The food was above expectations and always freshly prepared and you can taste it! I highly recommend it to everyone!

wilde weer eens naar de vegan zaak, maar wat een teleurstelling. koffie zwart geen smaak. broodje bacon cheeseburger . Broodje was een bietenbroodje en hartstikke droog. Het niet vlees van de burger was nog rood vanbinnen. We hadden de gewone besteld maar kregen die met jalapeno's ook niet te eten Bij navraag kregen we te horen dat het broodje altijd zo droog is dat de koffie geen smaak heeft en dat bij de bestelling een foutje was gemaakt door extra pittig in te drukken. Al met al zeer slecht en hier komen we niet meer.

I see a lot of positive reviews and I don't fully understand that. The coffee was really not good and my tuna (jackfruit) sandwich was really dry. The glass of water, which I could have used, never came. Maybe my expectations were too high, or I'm used to something different but I don't plan to go back... too bad.

I wish i could live here and eat their delicious food whenever i want😔 unfortunately that isn’t possible so a good review is all i can give. I have tried the smashed avocado toast, the pokebowl and the iced latte all over a time and each time the food was perfect, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was very nice and including. I get toogoodtogo boxes from here as often as possible and if i had infinite money id come for lunch every single day

Friendly staff, the food is fresh and very tasty. I come here a few times a week for my latte caramel and am never disappointed.

Lovely vegetarian and vegan food. It's sometimes difficult to go out for lunch because many restaurants have little vegetarian options so it was great to find this little place with an entire menu I could choose from. Had the blta and my partner had the bacon cheeseburger. It was good food. The blta wasn't massive, which is often an issue at other restaurants where it's just too much food, this was a great size. My iced latte could've been colder but that's a small thing. Food was well priced as well and the service was really friendly and helpful. They have a little kids corner so it's nice to bring your kid and have lunch here.

I come here for lunch almost every week. Good quality food. And a nice atmosphere.

We visited the black cockatoo on Sunday morning. Small restaurant has really nice atmosphere, is nice and neat. It was nice and quiet, very nice employees. Kids had a yogurt and smoothie, I had a very tasty chai latte. And there should be a place for kids to play in every restaurant. Toppers.

I've only tried the cappuccino so far, and it was delightful! The atmosphere at this place is great, and the location is excellent too. Looking forward to trying more of their offerings!

Voor de derde keer geweest. Lekker gegeten en aardig personeel. Menukaart is nu een stuk uitgebreider waardoor er meer keus is.

Since it was taken over there has been a bad atmosphere and the food has also deteriorated in quality and become a lot more expensive. The prices on the website do not match what you pay at the checkout. We won't come again!

I'm not a vegetarian, but I like coming here for lunch. My favorites are the croquette sandwich, vegan kapsalon and the sushi bowl with tofu.

Ate vegan for the first time this week. A world opened up for us. How delicious is that!!!! Delicious different types of coffee, smoothies, banana bread and cake, croquette sandwich, etc., everything is equally delicious. Cozy place and clean. Very friendly and pleasant staff. The owner even came to our table despite it being busy to ask if everything was okay. I have experienced something different. We will definitely go more often when we are in the area. Keep it up, you have a great business!!!!!

Restaurant/cafetje zit op een goede locatie in het centrum en valt meteen op! met de ligging op de hoek van het centrum aan de drukke oversteek plaats. bij de Dirk om de hoek. Recent is het restaurant overgenomen door 2 nieuwe eigenaren. beide met iets compleet nieuws. alles heeft een opstart nodig. maar je ziet dat ze er alles aan doen om de naam eer aan te doen. alles wordt vers bereid en daarom kan het soms wat langer duren. maar dit proef je ook zeker terug. voorheen liep ik er als vleeseter zijnde altijd voorbij maar omdat ik ook bewuster wil leven ben ik hier nu al enkele malen geweest en is het tot nu toe niet tegen gevallen. aanrader is toch wel de "vegan kapsalon" maar het hoogtepunt is ook wel zeker het gebak. lekker en je proeft nauwelijks het verschil dat het vegan/vegatarisch is. Personeel is zeer beleefd en ook altijd in voor een praatje! enige puntje van kritiek. het zou meschien intresant zijn om in de zomer avonden wat langer open te zijn zodat dineren ook mogelijk is! (maar begrijp de afweging ipv het gebied waar jullie zitten!)

As a meat eater I was taken to this restaurant! I chose the bitterballen and a cappucino! Both were delicious. Couldn't taste that the bitterballen were vegan. Very friendly staff who do their best to make you happy. Will definitely come back and try other things from the menu. Keep it up!!

Cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious products. I've tried just about everything now and have never been disappointed. During corona times, there were plenty of initiatives within the applicable measures: pickup, delivery, specials for companies. That makes the case even more sympathetic. The smashed avocado toast is highly recommended. Nice place for coffee and cake, lunch and drinks on your own, with friends, your partner or children. Update 11/12/23: the new owners have kept the business alive. Have now tried the high tea, which is also very good. Nice, sympathetic detail: grab your own glass of tap water.

My wife and I (as absolute non-vegetarians) had a delicious meal. a vegetarian hair salon and a cheeseburger. I suggested that, for fun's sake, a snack bar place a hamburger slice between their hamburgers. I don't think anyone would notice that it is a meatless specimen. That's how "real" it tasted. Kudos!

Hoewel ik dol ben op vegetarisch eten, was het hier slecht bereid. De rijst zit aan elkaar gepakt, koud, geen saus. Geen snoep bij coffe. Het eten is niet lekker.

Leuke plek, avocado toast genoemen, beetje flauw, tomaat te dik gesneden, prijs goed gezien andere cafés. Koffie lekker, smoothie ook. Personeel super, toilet goed.

Leuke en gezellige plek. Sushi bowl was niet meer beschikbaar. De hamburger was ok maar duur. Kapsalon was ok, goede dressing, maar kaas niet gesmolten

Het tentje ziet er leuk uit. Gegoogled en inderdaa allemaal vegan eten dus ideaal nu ik toch in Almere moest zijn. Gisteren woensdag 5 juli stond ik om half elf voor de deur. Openingstijden zijn van 10-16 di-zo. Speciaal hier naartoe gereden voor vegan eten. Er zat iemand op een laptop te werken die niet de moeite nam om even te zeggen waarom ze gesloten waren. Dat kwam behoorlijk arrogant over. Geen service. Zeg op zijn minst waarom je dicht bent, dat kan gebeuren. Het stormde en regende hard gisteren en meneer zat lekker droog achter de laptop te werken met een blik van wat komt u doen? Dus een beetje gastvrijheid had wel gepast geweest. Ik ga het niet nog een keer proberen hier. Twee sterren is voor de uitstraling en het concept. 0 voor de service.

Just a nice corner café, situated in not the nicest area though.

Met mijn man hier geluncht. We zijn beide niet veganistisch, maar genieten hier altijd van het eten. We voelen ons altijd op ons gemak en zitten altijd vol na het eten. Vaak gaat er gebak mee naar huis voor 's avonds bij de koffie. Heerlijk!

Heel leuk lunchtentje op een leuke plek in Almere (dichtbij wat kleinere, lokale winkeltjes). Prima lunchkaart, hele lekkere taartjes, en goede smoothies. Fijne sfeer en gezellige plek

Een gezellig lunch restaurant en heel erg geschikt voor ouders met kinderen. Ik was hier met mijn dochter. Zij had een top tijd. Voor volwassenen én kinderen hebben ze een kaart met gezonde en minder gezonde opties. Aanrader!

Vaak even een Vegan cappuccino halen (de lekkerste van de stad) en soms iets vegetarisch eten.

Het is een leuk tentje en oogt gezellig. Echter was het niet helemaal iets voor mij want de gerechten spraken mij niet aan. De smoothie en de zoete aardappelfrieten waren heerlijk! 😄 Ik raad het dus zeker aan voor mensen die plantaardig/veganistisch/vegetarisch zijn. Maar ik persoonlijk zal hier niet weer snel heen gaan.

De bediening was tergend langzaam het duurde echt een eeuwigheid. De parkeermeter was al verlopen. de prijs veel te hoog. Het gerecht ontzettend zout en melig.

Sushi bowl van 12 euro was heel lekker maar nogal veel rijst en ijssla. Ook de Floriade special van 10 euro was lekker maar ook hier vooral zoete aardappelfrietjes die de kom vulde. Leuk interieur met kindvriendelijke hoek

Zomaar eens binnen gelopen. Fantastisch gegeten van een vers en heerlijk menu. Later kwam ik er achter dat het een vegan restaurantje is. Dit kan voor sommige mensen een rede zijn om er aan voorbij te lopen…. Tegen deze mensen zeg ik, probeer het eens. Misschien wel het beste wat Almere Stad te bieden heeft.

Vegan optie restaurant. Relaxte sfeer, mooi ingericht en gezellig dat met warm weer de grote deuren open staan. Prijs kwaliteit is goed. Smaak was niet verassend, maar wel heel lekker. Zeker een optie voor als je een gezonde maaltijd wilt eten. Granola bowl👍 Avocado toast👍
