Ok food, bad costumer service We had a very bad experience 14 people and were rude and didn’t help to our satisfaction

10% service costs slipped into the bill?? This is not America, and what you are doing is a scam. FYI for future visitors - you can remove this from your bill. Used to be a regular. Not anymore after this 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Caesar salad with chicken was very good. However, the service was not. Took forever for the waitress to come and take our order despite her making eye contact with me several times. The bartender was also rude when we tried ordering from the bar instead.

Very, very friendly!! We had a problem with Lieferando, and while Lieferando didn't do anything, the Butchers staff resolved everything quickly and easily. I don't have a name, unfortunately, but the man behind the bar in the shirt was the best. Everything was also very fast. During our short wait, we even had a private magic show. He was a really nice guy, too. The burgers are simply the best in terms of both price and taste. The Veggie Delite is the best veggie burger I've ever had. Next time I'm in Amsterdam, I'll definitely be back! 😍

Our first meal in Amsterdam was a sensational hit. The Prez had a double smash burger which was very delicious and also the cod fish was over the top. I finished by having raspberry cheesecake that made me want seconds. The staff was very friendly and the General manager Blaze came by to personally check on party. When in Amsterdam and you want a very good burger and experience, this is the place I recommend.

There was an eggshell in the salad. The waiter was not interested in finding an solution like a dessert on the house or something like that.

Super relaxed atmosphere right on the water, friendly service, good value for money, and the Benedict Burger is truly top quality meat, bun... Perfect!

Today we visited The Butcher Social Club. We are tourists from Poland. We are satisfied with food very much. The service team who served us ie Luca, Manaal and Alessio were excelent, kind and professional. We come back when We return to Amsterdam and recommend this nice and friendly place.. Family Maj

Place was okey. Food avarage. Service could have been better. Few minuties after our food was served, waiter informed we have 10 minuties, because they need the table. No info before we were seated. We did not have time to eat our food.

The food here is really good. Location is great and the atmosphere inside is nice too. It's a fun place, love the lights. There's arcade games too. The service however is a huge let down. The person that took our order seemed very unhappy and wasn't welcoming at all. Not once did someone check in to see if we were ok. We got told when we walked in that we needed to give our table back at a specific time due to an event and also mentioned they would see if they could move us if we were still there. This was fine. It came to 18.45 and we were told "you have to leave now, we need the table back" and "here's the bill". Instead I would've expected a "hi guys, how was the food? Apologies, its quarter to, we need the table back". There was no thank you, would you care to move to the bar, no bye. Nothing.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Well organized. Perfect for both lunch and dinner. I highly recommend it.

The burgers were amazing, the fries were some of the best I've ever had, and the ribs were delicious too. The nachos could have been incredible, but they fell short because they were stale; the bag had probably been open for a few days. A shame, because everything else was good. As for the service, it wasn't bad, but they never once came to ask if everything was alright. They simply took our order, brought our drinks and food (which took quite a while), and cleared the plates away. That was it. It's a shame; they clearly lack customer service skills.

It was all delicious!! Excellent value for money. Quality burgers, and their meatloaf (bitterballen) is a must-try—INCREDIBLE! Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

They always have the best taste. Also recently the fries have been changed and have become more crispy. Really suggest you trying them.

A lovely restaurant with a spot on the river and opposite the station, conveniently located for a meal after being at the lookout. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Good with allergies but there were no dairy free burger buns whichw as a shame. Food was tasty though.

Lovely spot on the other side of the river opposite Centraal Station. The food was excellent; really good burgers. The service was great but just a little slow, they brought the wrong drink and missed sn order of fries but would still go again.

After a lovely movie night at Eye, we were very happy that we could still come here at 10:00 PM and that the kitchen was still open. They created a wonderful atmosphere, with lights that move and change color, which was extra fun for us. We ate delicious burgers; the food was really top-notch. The first employee who served us was incredibly friendly. The second was a bit less enthusiastic, but that didn't detract from our experience. All in all, we are happy to give 5 stars. We had a lovely evening and were very happy that we could still enjoy good food and a cozy atmosphere here so late.

This does no right to the name restaurant. Rude staff, agressive and therefore they can't set a fun and relaxed atmosphere. They even use A I reviews, unacceptable

Very disappointing experience. We were seated at an uncomfortable high table, but the biggest issue was the bill. How can you charge customers for other people's orders? We were billed for burgers, drinks, and fries that we never ordered, increasing our bill by more than €70. Even after pointing out the mistake, I later discovered I was still charged €14,5 for items we never consumed. I returned to request a refund and was promised a call from the manager. Three days later, I'm still waiting. This level of disorganization and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I will not be coming back.

I’ve ordered the Ugly Chicken several times, and unfortunately there is almost always something wrong with it. Sometimes the chicken has an unpleasant smell, sometimes the portion of chicken is very small, and this time both the avocado and sour cream were completely missing. They also added only a tiny piece of tomato. literally the hard end of the tomato. For a €13 sandwich, the quality and portions should be much more consistent. If ingredients are unavailable, customers should be informed or the price should be adjusted. Very disappointing.

The venue is spacious, featuring a variety of seating options, an outdoor patio area, and an upper-level mezzanine. ​We stopped by for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Most of the ground-floor tables were taken, but the acoustics in the space are surprisingly great—we couldn't hear any neighboring conversations at all. The background music was pleasant and set a good vibe without ever competing with our conversation. ​The Food ​The Burger: Good and tasty, though not mind-blowing. They didn't ask for our preferred cooking temp (doneness), which was a small downside. ​Caesar Salad: Rich, flavorful, and very delicious! ​Sweet Potato Fries: Absolutely heavenly—a absolute must-order. ​Final Verdict ​A very nice spot with a solid atmosphere to grab a bite and hang out with friends by the water!

We ate well, but we left with a very bitter memory of being ripped off. As tourists, we asked for a carafe of water and were brought a ridiculously small 25cl bottle for €7.50. Basically, the waitress clearly took us for fools. This was the low point of an otherwise fantastic trip. So, if you're a tourist, don't hesitate to refuse this scam and demand a free carafe of water. We're used to tipping and are generous; the waitress could have received a good amount from us, but she chose dishonesty. The Dutch are kind and benevolent people; don't ruin their reputation over something so trivial.

Superb restaurant; a very talented artist sings during dinner at sunset. Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available. The burger bun was very soft (brioche).

Tuesday afternoon, 1:00 PM. I am having lunch at The Butcher Social Club today. Rudi arrives a little later while I look around. The room is mostly filled with tourists, and somehow I find that a shame — as if Amsterdammers haven't fully discovered this place yet. The dishes on the menu are all tempting, but after an extensive weekend, I simply choose the burger this time. And to be honest: it is truly exceptionally flavorful. Rudi and I catch up on everything that has happened over the past few weeks. While we are in the middle of our conversation, we are occasionally interrupted by enthusiastic visitors. They have just come from the A’DAM Tower and are still buzzing from the rooftop terrace. The view has visibly left them breathless for a moment. Now they are sitting here, with food and drinks in front of them, as if they are trying to ground themselves after the view of the city. When I reflect on it myself, I mainly think: come here more often. The food is always good, the atmosphere relaxed, and everywhere you feel that conscious thought has gone into the interior, the dishes, and the ambiance. My favorite location remains the one in Amsterdam-Noord. It feels more spacious, with a pool table, games, comfortable sofas, a large bar, and huge windows that let in the light. For tourists, it is already the place to be. Perhaps soon, increasingly so for Amsterdammers as well.

Despite having plenty of space on the terrace and the restaurant itself, the guy with glasses and a ponytail at reception refused to give us a table or even serve us at 10:30 PM. Unbelievable. I absolutely do not recommend it.

The waitress illegally added a 10% tip to our bill without our knowledge – a tourist trap. And in her rude manner, she claimed it was because many tourists came from America. 🇩🇪

If you want good and fast service, good customer service, being treated nice, fair price for food and drinks, you should NEVER COME HERE. This place is absolutely awful. They treat customers like trash when they complain about the horrible service they do. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Tourist trap!!

Very disappointing experience. We are a group of young travelers, and from the moment we sat down, we felt unwelcome. The staff were rude, spoke to us disrespectfully, and gave us unfriendly looks throughout our visit. We did not feel treated with the same level of courtesy and respect that customers should expect. We were also unhappy with how the payment situation was handled, as there was confusion regarding our change, which left us feeling taken advantage of. Overall, the service was poor, and the experience made us feel uncomfortable. Because of this, we would not recommend this restaurant to other travelers or visitors.

You have been very rude, stingy, and lacking in solidarity. You did not return our change, even though minors were involved, apparently only to benefit yourselves financially. We find that unfair and very disappointing.

Real meat, no quick-fermented substitute. If you're looking for a place where the word "burger" doesn't mean a dried-out semi-finished product or a meatball with the texture of sausage, you've come to the right place. Here you'll get honest, perfectly seasoned beef that has a clear origin and a great texture. The preparation was lightning fast, the meat was juicy and was perfectly complemented by a soft, well-toasted brioche. I left with the feeling that this was exactly the gastronomic experience I was craving. Thumbs up for the quality, it's worth coming back here.

The place is okay. It has a fresh spacious atmosphere, burgers are okay. I actually liked my entrecôte steak, it was juicy and came with a nice sauce. Sweet potato fries were tasty as well. The service was also find, they wouldn’t bother you to the point that you can’t find an opportunity to ask for the bill. I think I can recommend it if you’re in the area and wanna grab something with friends. Not as a separate food-destination. You might even need to book a table since it gets busy towards the evening.

The food is good, the meat is high quality. The burgers are a good size. However, the service is deplorable. Our assigned waitress took our order with blatant disdain, undoubtedly due to the modest size of our €67 order (for two burgers, mind you). We'll just have to wait to order two desserts. Finally, at the time of payment, not a thank you or goodbye. For a "social club," having employees with such poor manners is beyond unacceptable.

The kitchen closes wayyy too early. It’s open until 2am, but they stop serving food 3-4 hours before closing. There’s a lot of venues around there and it’s a burger spot, so it would be great if they served food at least a little later.

The burgers are delicious! The Smash Burger is perfect 👌🏼 And the Truffle Burger is for those who love truffle; the meat is juicy. The chicken wings are spicy and incredibly delicious. They make everything fresh, which is why they're slow to deliver orders. The place in this branch is spacious and has a river view.

Food was nice and priced OK. We were sat on some stools which weren't that comfortable. A few friendly staff members, but there was 1 who did not want to be there, didn't smile or say thank you when bringing our drinks or taking our order. This kind of ruined the mood of the aesthetically pleasing restaurant itself.

Wide range of burgers, I tried the Daddy one and was very tasty and made of good quality products, also for a fair price being in Amsterdam center. The cocktail or wines are way to expensive, the beers just the regular NL price. Great location next to the ferry stop to central station, with terrace for sunny days and also the inside looks fancy. Recommended if you come for the food

We were really pleased by the delicious burgers and meat dishes we ordered. Th quality of the meat was really good and tasty. The atmosphere created with a live singer made the dinner unfergettable. The only thing that made me angry was the attitude of the first waiter that had to give us the table. He was really rude and he even made a joke about us being italian.

The place is okay. We've eaten here several times, and the burgers are definitely the best. We ordered the hot dog once, and never make it; it's terrible. I'm not giving it 5 stars for two reasons: first, even though you're paying for an (expensive) burger, they charge you for fries and even for ketchup or mayonnaise! And second, the waiters aren't very friendly.

Very nice chicken wrap from The Butcher. Staff were very friendly and quick to serve us. No issues. I would like to point out how dark the toilets were. Not due to lighting but because the walls, doors, ceilings were painted black and I needed my phone torch to make sure I didn't trip. Didn't spoil the meal though.

Restaurant with incompetent staff, refusal to pay, everyone was responsible for their own part, my friend was forced to pay for me. And after asking for a doggy bag, the waiter completely ignored us.

I waited more than 40 minutes for a burger and one beer. The waiter was great, everything else was a minus.

We really enjoyed the service! Everyone was very nice and accomodating even though we were a large group. It was also very enjoyable for our 5 year old daughter who was able to enjoy the space and had nice interactions with staff, very cute kids menu. Food was served quickly and nicely plated. We had a celebration so they added a birthday candle to dessert, which was really nice.

We did not have any food - but everything looked lovely! There is wifi available, and the people are fantastic. Our waiter was lovely. We had arrived too early for our dinner upstairs, so we had a few beverages at Butcher. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. They had great conversation and recommendations. The bathroom is located on the 1st floor (Which in Europe means up from the ground floor) but there is an elevator if you are mobility challenged. Everything is very clean, and bright. The music and fun lights make it a party!

Sadly, these were the most tasteless burgers we’ve ever had. The meat was almost burnt, there was no trace of truffle in either taste or smell of it, and the gluten-free buns were also completely tasteless, especially disappointing given the high price!! To top it off, even tap water isn’t offered and must be purchased.

Great location and exactly the kind of atmosphere you’d expect on a Friday evening. The Ultimate Truffle Burger was great! A couple of small points: the host at the entrance felt a bit unwelcoming, which didn’t set the best first impression. The live music was a nice touch, but quite loud around 7 pm, with the instrument overpowering the singer. We did ask to move and were kindly accommodated at another table in a slightly quieter corner, which helped. Overall, a lovely place with a few small tweaks that could make it even better.

Fantastic experience. The service was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which made the whole meal really enjoyable. The food tasted great and everything was well prepared. For two adults with a soft drink each the bill came to €48.50, which seems about average for this area of Amsterdam and felt good value for the quality of the food and service. If myself and misses ever come back to visit Amsterdam, I would definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere of the place is fantastic. It's beautifully designed. However, the burger I chose wasn't particularly special. It tasted very similar to a Big King. But it's worth going again for the atmosphere.

Great place! The atmosphere is pleasant, as is the service. The food is top-notch! I tried the chicken burger with jalapeño poppers – it's amazing, I recommend it to anyone who likes spicy food! The fries are amazing, very juicy and delicious, as are the onion rings. The hot dog is simple and flavorful: vegetables, sausage, mustard, and ketchup – a great combination. If you're looking for a good meal after climbing A'DAM, this is a sure bet!

Absolute Terrible. Service was painfully slow, so had to wait Ages for the food or even to get served a drink, wasn’t even very busy. Chicken burger was served barely tepid. Had to send back. Second attempt also took ages to come out and was equally as cold. Potentially giving us food poisoning, so we had to leave that health hazard uneaten. Obviously didn’t pay for the chicken burger. Absolutely terrible. No apology. No real acknowledgment of the potential health risk. Total Rubbish.. If you want to go out for a nice meal, go elsewhere. I wouldn’t go back here if you paid me !! :0

Unfriendly lady kicked people out who were waiting for Pizza Show event, I understand that it’s not “waiting place”, but the way she communicated was just rude instead of politely offering us to order drinks to make profit on people waiting. She could have used opportunity to promote “the restaurant”, but instead used it to make many people avoid it in future.

They got my order wrong, tried to tell me I had ordered something entirely different. The cook had a row with the mansger in front of customers over who was wrong. It then took over 30 minutes to finally bring me what I actually ordered. When the manager eventually accepted his team were in the wrong he discount the meal and apologized. However the behavior of the cook was disgraceful and would put me off returning.

Really good burgers, great service, we went back twice in a week when we stayed in Amsterdam
