Superb restaurant; a very talented artist sings during dinner at sunset. Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available. The burger bun was very soft (brioche).

Tuesday afternoon, 1:00 PM. I am having lunch at The Butcher Social Club today. Rudi arrives a little later while I look around. The room is mostly filled with tourists, and somehow I find that a shame — as if Amsterdammers haven't fully discovered this place yet. The dishes on the menu are all tempting, but after an extensive weekend, I simply choose the burger this time. And to be honest: it is truly exceptionally flavorful. Rudi and I catch up on everything that has happened over the past few weeks. While we are in the middle of our conversation, we are occasionally interrupted by enthusiastic visitors. They have just come from the A’DAM Tower and are still buzzing from the rooftop terrace. The view has visibly left them breathless for a moment. Now they are sitting here, with food and drinks in front of them, as if they are trying to ground themselves after the view of the city. When I reflect on it myself, I mainly think: come here more often. The food is always good, the atmosphere relaxed, and everywhere you feel that conscious thought has gone into the interior, the dishes, and the ambiance. My favorite location remains the one in Amsterdam-Noord. It feels more spacious, with a pool table, games, comfortable sofas, a large bar, and huge windows that let in the light. For tourists, it is already the place to be. Perhaps soon, increasingly so for Amsterdammers as well.

The place feels overpriced, Service charge 10% is included to the bill, the burger comes without fries by default

Despite having plenty of space on the terrace and the restaurant itself, the guy with glasses and a ponytail at reception refused to give us a table or even serve us at 10:30 PM. Unbelievable. I absolutely do not recommend it.

The waitress illegally added a 10% tip to our bill without our knowledge – a tourist trap. And in her rude manner, she claimed it was because many tourists came from America. 🇩🇪

If you want good and fast service, good customer service, being treated nice, fair price for food and drinks, you should NEVER COME HERE. This place is absolutely awful. They treat customers like trash when they complain about the horrible service they do. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Tourist trap!!

You have been very rude, stingy, and lacking in solidarity. You did not return our change, even though minors were involved, apparently only to benefit yourselves financially. We find that unfair and very disappointing.

Very disappointing experience. We are a group of young travelers, and from the moment we sat down, we felt unwelcome. The staff were rude, spoke to us disrespectfully, and gave us unfriendly looks throughout our visit. We did not feel treated with the same level of courtesy and respect that customers should expect. We were also unhappy with how the payment situation was handled, as there was confusion regarding our change, which left us feeling taken advantage of. Overall, the service was poor, and the experience made us feel uncomfortable. Because of this, we would not recommend this restaurant to other travelers or visitors.

Real meat, no quick-fermented substitute. If you're looking for a place where the word "burger" doesn't mean a dried-out semi-finished product or a meatball with the texture of sausage, you've come to the right place. Here you'll get honest, perfectly seasoned beef that has a clear origin and a great texture. The preparation was lightning fast, the meat was juicy and was perfectly complemented by a soft, well-toasted brioche. I left with the feeling that this was exactly the gastronomic experience I was craving. Thumbs up for the quality, it's worth coming back here.

The place is okay. It has a fresh spacious atmosphere, burgers are okay. I actually liked my entrecôte steak, it was juicy and came with a nice sauce. Sweet potato fries were tasty as well. The service was also find, they wouldn’t bother you to the point that you can’t find an opportunity to ask for the bill. I think I can recommend it if you’re in the area and wanna grab something with friends. Not as a separate food-destination. You might even need to book a table since it gets busy towards the evening.

The beef was tasty, however not as spiced and neutralized with onion and spices as I would liked it, the meat taste is too strong.

The food is good, the meat is high quality. The burgers are a good size. However, the service is deplorable. Our assigned waitress took our order with blatant disdain, undoubtedly due to the modest size of our €67 order (for two burgers, mind you). We'll just have to wait to order two desserts. Finally, at the time of payment, not a thank you or goodbye. For a "social club," having employees with such poor manners is beyond unacceptable.

The kitchen closes wayyy too early. It’s open until 2am, but they stop serving food 3-4 hours before closing. There’s a lot of venues around there and it’s a burger spot, so it would be great if they served food at least a little later.

The burgers are delicious! The Smash Burger is perfect 👌🏼 And the Truffle Burger is for those who love truffle; the meat is juicy. The chicken wings are spicy and incredibly delicious. They make everything fresh, which is why they're slow to deliver orders. The place in this branch is spacious and has a river view.

Food was nice and priced OK. We were sat on some stools which weren't that comfortable. A few friendly staff members, but there was 1 who did not want to be there, didn't smile or say thank you when bringing our drinks or taking our order. This kind of ruined the mood of the aesthetically pleasing restaurant itself.

Wide range of burgers, I tried the Daddy one and was very tasty and made of good quality products, also for a fair price being in Amsterdam center. The cocktail or wines are way to expensive, the beers just the regular NL price. Great location next to the ferry stop to central station, with terrace for sunny days and also the inside looks fancy. Recommended if you come for the food

We were really pleased by the delicious burgers and meat dishes we ordered. Th quality of the meat was really good and tasty. The atmosphere created with a live singer made the dinner unfergettable. The only thing that made me angry was the attitude of the first waiter that had to give us the table. He was really rude and he even made a joke about us being italian.

A bit difficult to get the waiter's attention, but they were busy to be fair. Really nice staff, great atmosphere, easy access. Delicious hamburgers with fries. The down point for me is the very limited variety of beer options. They should have more local brands and more options for tap beer

The place is okay. We've eaten here several times, and the burgers are definitely the best. We ordered the hot dog once, and never make it; it's terrible. I'm not giving it 5 stars for two reasons: first, even though you're paying for an (expensive) burger, they charge you for fries and even for ketchup or mayonnaise! And second, the waiters aren't very friendly.

Restaurant with incompetent staff, refusal to pay, everyone was responsible for their own part, my friend was forced to pay for me. And after asking for a doggy bag, the waiter completely ignored us.

Very nice chicken wrap from The Butcher. Staff were very friendly and quick to serve us. No issues. I would like to point out how dark the toilets were. Not due to lighting but because the walls, doors, ceilings were painted black and I needed my phone torch to make sure I didn't trip. Didn't spoil the meal though.

Delicious Double Smash burger, a Spicy Chicken Burger plus a side of fries smothered in Cheese Wizz. The drinks were cold, the sun was hot. Service very good, friendly & attentive. Highly recommend 👌

I waited more than 40 minutes for a burger and one beer. The waiter was great, everything else was a minus.

We really enjoyed the service! Everyone was very nice and accomodating even though we were a large group. It was also very enjoyable for our 5 year old daughter who was able to enjoy the space and had nice interactions with staff, very cute kids menu. Food was served quickly and nicely plated. We had a celebration so they added a birthday candle to dessert, which was really nice.

The food was delicious. We were seated immediately. The service started well but quickly deteriorated. There was probably a shortage of waitstaff. I was there at lunchtime.

We did not have any food - but everything looked lovely! There is wifi available, and the people are fantastic. Our waiter was lovely. We had arrived too early for our dinner upstairs, so we had a few beverages at Butcher. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. They had great conversation and recommendations. The bathroom is located on the 1st floor (Which in Europe means up from the ground floor) but there is an elevator if you are mobility challenged. Everything is very clean, and bright. The music and fun lights make it a party!

Sadly, these were the most tasteless burgers we’ve ever had. The meat was almost burnt, there was no trace of truffle in either taste or smell of it, and the gluten-free buns were also completely tasteless, especially disappointing given the high price!! To top it off, even tap water isn’t offered and must be purchased.

Great location and exactly the kind of atmosphere you’d expect on a Friday evening. The Ultimate Truffle Burger was great! A couple of small points: the host at the entrance felt a bit unwelcoming, which didn’t set the best first impression. The live music was a nice touch, but quite loud around 7 pm, with the instrument overpowering the singer. We did ask to move and were kindly accommodated at another table in a slightly quieter corner, which helped. Overall, a lovely place with a few small tweaks that could make it even better.

Shrimp Avocado Salat 19€ 98% Salat 1% corn 2 Shrimp I didnt found Avocado Bunless Burger was normal with mushroom on top. It was the plain meet for 14€ At the end you have to pay 10% on top of your Bill for service. Dont come here -!- Sorry guys you can do it better -zero stars-

The waiter made us wait for 30 minutes and then asked us if we knew what we wanted, we said no and he "kicked us out" for other guests.

Fantastic experience. The service was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which made the whole meal really enjoyable. The food tasted great and everything was well prepared. For two adults with a soft drink each the bill came to €48.50, which seems about average for this area of Amsterdam and felt good value for the quality of the food and service. If myself and misses ever come back to visit Amsterdam, I would definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere of the place is fantastic. It's beautifully designed. However, the burger I chose wasn't particularly special. It tasted very similar to a Big King. But it's worth going again for the atmosphere.

Unfortunately took a long time to be seated, we joined a queue for a table but nobody was around to help, then waited over 20mins for 2 soft drinks, slow service but food was nice. Great place! The atmosphere is pleasant, as is the service. The food is top-notch! I tried the chicken burger with jalapeño poppers – it's amazing, I recommend it to anyone who likes spicy food! The fries are amazing, very juicy and delicious, as are the onion rings. The hot dog is simple and flavorful: vegetables, sausage, mustard, and ketchup – a great combination. If you're looking for a good meal after climbing A'DAM, this is a sure bet!

Absolute Terrible. Service was painfully slow, so had to wait Ages for the food or even to get served a drink, wasn’t even very busy. Chicken burger was served barely tepid. Had to send back. Second attempt also took ages to come out and was equally as cold. Potentially giving us food poisoning, so we had to leave that health hazard uneaten. Obviously didn’t pay for the chicken burger. Absolutely terrible. No apology. No real acknowledgment of the potential health risk. Total Rubbish.. If you want to go out for a nice meal, go elsewhere. I wouldn’t go back here if you paid me !! :0

Unfriendly lady kicked people out who were waiting for Pizza Show event, I understand that it’s not “waiting place”, but the way she communicated was just rude instead of politely offering us to order drinks to make profit on people waiting. She could have used opportunity to promote “the restaurant”, but instead used it to make many people avoid it in future.

They got my order wrong, tried to tell me I had ordered something entirely different. The cook had a row with the mansger in front of customers over who was wrong. It then took over 30 minutes to finally bring me what I actually ordered. When the manager eventually accepted his team were in the wrong he discount the meal and apologized. However the behavior of the cook was disgraceful and would put me off returning.

the place is amazing in the centeral area , but the chairs is not comfortable , and the food is too expensive and its not the best , for this price at least i was expected a potato ban bread for the burger not that hard not tasty ban.

We went for lunch on Friday and the experience was incredible. From the moment we arrived, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely. The burgers were amazing: perfectly cooked meat, soft and nicely toasted buns, and the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. The fries were also delicious. You can tell when a place pays attention to detail. We'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone who wants a top-notch burger.

Came here hearing about the 'hidden' speakeasy at the location in the city - this cocktail scene is more in the open. Pretty good overall , but the burger fell short (I'm American so it's hard to get a good burger outside of us). Had a great dessert, the Cookies and Cream cake. We had delicious a Caesar Salad and the beetroot salad. The crispy chicken tenders were perfect. Also had a chat with the manager who checked-in if everything was ok.
