The cafeteria Violier in Wijk 11 De Riet

At first, it seemed overpriced: €17.30 for two fries, snacks, and a drink. The table was largely greasy, even though they'd cleaned it themselves. The wait was long, and the fries weren't hot and far too hard. My girlfriend couldn't eat most of it. The vegetarian bami slice was burnt, and only the cheese soufflé was good. The fries were a good portion, though. The four staff members seemed completely uninterested in the wishes and questions of a vegan, or rather, a lacto-intolerant person. One staff member, after briefly going to the back, started a nonsense story because he didn't feel like checking the ingredients list. Another staff member said he didn't know what veganism even meant. A third (woman) wasn't interested at all, but a fourth young man did make a good attempt at a mixture of excuses/compensation (new fries/bami slice)/defense/explanation. Respect for that. It's good that you have an opinion! Hereby 4 stars instead of 1 and the expectation that it has now been resolved for the future.

Very tasty fries and certainly also very tasty frikandellen. Everything of good quality. For 6 euros you can get a frikandel and 1 fries without and take it home.

They have gone downhill since the takeover, the onions were big lumpy pieces, the fries were cold, I won't be getting anything there again anytime soon

The fries were hard, tasted stale and were lukewarm! The croquette had been under the "warm" lamp for a long time, but it was no longer warm to eat! Grumpy lady who responds curtly when she asks something. In short: a very bad experience and this was not the first time! I won't be there anymore!

This was our regular cafeteria before the takeover, but not anymore. Of the two times we ordered here, part of the order was missing both times (fries with a snack for 2 people). The previous owner was doing well, but these people are staring at you behind the counter... we won't be coming back.

Bami discs were fine. The fries were cooked below par: dull, limp and sometimes even bordering on raw.

Will remain an excellent cafeteria after the takeover. It's just a shame they no longer have the old bratwurst.

Just had lunch at De Violier cafeteria, it is very clean and very tasty! Everything is freshly made and neatly served, my son was very happy with his beautiful surprise!😀 And the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy! I recommend everyone to come to this cafeteria. It was perfect!👌

Ordered food from Violier for the first time. Quality is good. Prices normal. Decor very cozy and nice to have a bite to eat.

Unfortunately, the quality is hard to find. Terrible fries were far below par and had too little sauce on them. Also ordered a peanut ball, but the satay sauce was far too light in color and also bland. The worst was the behavior of the owner. What a terrible witch and kindness was hard to find. The staff also had to endure it. I will never get food here again.

We have been getting fries and other fries here regularly for years. You can also eat in the restaurant here. Highly recommended.

Bad service and unfriendly staff. I ordered a large fries and received 1 cutlery and 1 napkin. Asked for extra cutlery to eat it with my brother, but had to pay for an extra fork and knife. Also child unfriendly, because I only got 1 napkin. Too bad to mention this because the fries are just delicious.

Paid 4.50 euros for a fries war. It wasn't even available for 2 euros yet. I went home hungry.

The food is good and it always tastes good. But it's a shame that they don't stick to their own opening hours. Called at 10:30 but they were already closed. They close at 8 o'clock and don't bother to look after you. Therefore 2 stars.

Paid 0.15 cents deposit for half a liter bottle of Fanta, afterwards when paying I reported that I left the bottle there and therefore did not want to pay the deposit, I was told that they are not a return point.. bunch of perverts

Ate fries. On sight. They had charged a bag that I didn't need/received because I ate the order on the spot. You get your fries on a plate with a knife and fork. Very neat. Nice cafeteria. Tasty fries and it looks clean. No plastic bags but paper ones. Wide choice of snacks. They also have menus. Like with spare ribs. Different types of fries. O.a. farmer's fries. This business has been around for years and is not entirely unjustified, very popular in Almelo. Highly recommended. They also sell sandwiches.

Got food here in the bad weather. Come home fries partially cooked and some cooked. Was thrown together. Went back. Didn't have fries with me, wasn't told by the young lady on the phone either. Don't go back into the storm for nothing. Employee was very difficult about reimbursing 2 portions of fries. I just left. Never again for me. Too bad I could always get good food there

SHAME ON YOU CAFETERIA DE VIOLIER IN ALMELO! Okay, so I wanted some fries and a bite to eat. So I have an explanation because I can't wear a face mask…. Showed it neatly last time, no problem at all. Now there are 2 ladies, about 15/16 years old, behind the counter. So I, as the only customer in the shop, ordered food. Madam, please put on a face mask…. I told them that I had an explanation and that I had already shown it recently, which was no problem at all. Oh then you have to wait outside…. I say excuse me... waiting outside with -2 degrees? I'm not going to do that. Oh ma'am then I'll ask my boss... I say fine. She comes back and the boss (which I call an employer by the way) also had to wait outside. I indicated that this was not necessary last time and the whole place was full! I have asked for my money back and hope that such people are allowed to close their doors and that people who let me in even if they are not wearing face masks will have a very good time. PURE DISCRIMINATION FOR MEDICAL REASONS!

Delicious fries and otherwise good food. However, in recent years the friendliness of the staff has deteriorated. Ordered food last week and when we picked it up we were almost turned away. First the lady asked with an irritated look and voice I wanted to order something. No spontaneity and no attention for me as a customer/guest. No eye contact and the order was put down as 'get by with it'. Since the food is so good I would come back, not because of the friendliness of the staff.

Yes, what is there to say? The decoration is beautiful and makes you think that you are not in a cafeteria but in a restaurant that was renovated by Gordon Ramsey! Very hygienic, beautiful decoration and friendly but also stress-resistant staff. I have seen long queues, but even then things are going great and the quality of both staff and food remains at its best. The best cafeteria in Almelo (or maybe even in Overijssel) in my experience!

De patat is meestal erg lekker en warm maar wanneer je tijdens de spits komt worden de snacks minder warm meegegeven. Men zegt ze onder de lamp te leggen, maar na 5 minuutjes daar hebben gelegen; koelen ze toch af vooral wanneer je ook nog met alles naar huis moet. Bovenstaande al vaker gemeld maar geen gehoor aan gekregen. Maar de patat is dan nog wel lekker warm!

Ordered a cheeseburger yesterday for €4.25. It looked fine on the screen. Once home, it turned out to be nothing more than a soft bun, deep-fried hamburger and a thin slice of cheese. No lettuce and not even a drop of sauce. This can not be?! And no... once I get home I won't go back, otherwise the rest of the order would have become cold again. So invest yourself at home. After an earlier disappointment, this was the last time at Violier for me.

The cash register indicates a higher price than the menu (screen), but the entered price must still be paid. Do you get a response: oh yes, it still needs to be adjusted. Last time I come here. Last time it was exactly the same song. Very childish. Make sure you have your prices in order. It's that I was very hungry, otherwise I would have left.

I think the quality and staff are declining.
