We stumbled into this establishment because I could choose between chicken breast or thigh for the fried sandwich! Never in the states do you get that option. 90% of the time it’s breast, I prefer Thigh and did this sandwich kill it! Fried perfectly on a light and fluffy bun with mayo, tomato and lettuce. The fires were also good and so were the chicken fingers we ordered.

I had a mixed experience here. I didn’t really like their signature chicken, as it wasn’t that impressive to me. However, the burger was good and flavorful. The taco was definitely the best item I tried, and I’d happily order it again.

Our favorite meal in Amsterdam!! We are picky with food (quality, taste …) and service and they exceeded our expectations both times. We were only in town for 3 nights and ate here twice. Kept ordering more it was so good! Rotisserie, chicken tenders, tacos, siracha mayo. All amazing!

Food was good but the bill was ridiculous. 7.5 euro for water. 1 euro for ketchop. 7 euros surcharge... and then they also wanted a tip of up to 25%. There are so many good restaraunts in Amsterdam. Just take your business elsewhere.

Great experience at Chicken Bar in Amsterdam! After a long day of walking, we treated ourselves to several appetizers (Buffalo Wings, tenders, pulled chicken tacos): everything was excellent, especially the wings, which were perfectly seasoned 🔥 The rotisserie chicken as a main course was fantastic, with a variety of generous sides. Friendly and professional service, no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend it if you love good chicken!

I dont think i have ever been a better tasting chicken place. That was some crazy taste! Omg. Loved it! But i must mention that pulled chicken is very dry. I recommend taking it completely off of the menu if they cook it first and make it wait in the container before they serve it.

I had a chicken burger, fries, corn cob and a Coke and paid nearly 36 euro. Ridiculous considering that quality was close to Mc Donald. Fries not crunchy at all and they make you pay 1 pound for a sauce. Don’t bother

Honestly - the bad reviews have to be fake. This is possibly the best chicken I’ve had in the world and I live in NYC and travel A LOT. No lack of exposure- fell off the bird and juicy - had the roasted potato’s also and also great. Food came in less than 5 min on business Sunday of year in Amsterdam. This place should have a Michelin star for chicken 🥰

The best chicken place in Amsterdam, hands down! A family of five of us went for lunch during Easter week, and the chicken was absolutely delicious. You can order whole chickens or halves and add fries (which were also fantastic). We also ordered some tacos, and they were a total hit! The portions are generous, and the quality-price ratio is unbeatable! The food comes out quickly, and there's no long wait. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful with any questions you might have about portion sizes. I would definitely go back; it was a fantastic choice!

Very good chicken bar. The chicken is cooked well, seasoned with herbs (although a bit too salty), and easy to eat. The fries are industrial, which is a shame as it clashes with the good chicken. In Amsterdam, I find it difficult to find somewhere to eat and I can't make a choice. We ended up here by chance because it seemed very busy at the neighbors (Pakhuis), so we opted for chicken. We had bread with delicious butter as a starter; I thought the butter cups were a bit too big or the rolls were too small 😜😜 but both were really tasty. Had a delicious half chicken with fries and vegetables, super tasty. Personally, I found the chicken very tender and nicely seasoned; you can taste that the spices and salt had soaked in well. The fries were delicious, and the same goes for the mayo. The atmosphere was nice and the employees were friendly/nice.

They have two types of chicken burgers. One with breaded chicken and one with spicy shredded chicken. Both were fantastic and juicy. The green salad was also very good. It's a nice spot tucked away somewhere. Definitely add it to your list.

The Chicken Bar was a really cool place to go for food. We booked in advance online and I’m glad that we did because it did get pretty busy in there. I had the Spicy Pulled Chicken Burger which was advertised on the menu as just that, it didn’t say anywhere that it came with salad and sauce. Perhaps I should’ve asked our server but I’d also like to see that on the actual menu. I ended up pulling the chicken out of it as I don’t like sauce and it was quite drenched in it, so I couldn’t eat the bun. We also shared the Fried Chicken Wings for starters which were delicious, and shared Fries & Onion Rings between us with the main course. This came to €66 overall (with a beer and a Coke Zero to drink) which I actually think was very good value for money as the portion sizes were decent. My partner had the 1/2 Chicken and it was very tasty!

Really good food We got half a chicken Chicken tender and 2 chicken burgers they were all amazing The staff were good serivce was fast and the fries were good big portions Lots of different sauces to try also I will be back on my next visit and cant wait to get the full chicken next time the flavours in it are so good its really juicy. Deffo try and I had made a reservation before going and the table was ready and even though it was by the door we were tucked away from the breeze and it was really cosy in here. First place to eat dinner in Amsterdam and I will recommend and will be back.

We had a reservation for Friday at 1 p.m. The young man was friendly but difficult to understand. He spoke very quietly, and the music wasn't exactly quiet either. But he explained the menu again for us, thanks for that. We ordered half a chicken and the spicy chicken burger with fries, coleslaw, and fried onion rings. VERY delicious! The fries did get cold quickly, so maybe use porcelain bowls instead of iron ones and warm them under a lamp. Otherwise, it's a cozy place, but it wasn't exactly warm either, as we went outside with goosebumps and cold. So it was quite cold inside.

Honestly this just wasn’t good. The chicken coating is thin and a little dry on the tenders, but juicy at all. The grilled veg was the best part. The dark and stormy cocktail was watery and not dark at all. Just felt very basic. Wouldn’t recommend

Came for late lunch after a long day of walking the streets of Amsterdam. The half and full chicken is beautifully roasted and tender that it “melts in your mouth”. The fries were amazing. And I learnt that the owner is the same as the long queue Veminchkx fries shop doe the road and it is so good that we ordered twice!

I was there on Saturday. It was very pleasant and, above all, incredibly delicious. We hadn't made a reservation, but that wasn't a problem, even though the place was busy. Attentive service, and no long wait for our first drinks. Definitely start with the starters: for example, the extremely good little tacos or the homemade bread with butter. The chicken is world-class—whether served whole with lemon and rosemary or as a fantastic burger. Price-wise, it's not exactly a fast-food joint, but it's really reasonably priced.

One of the best chicken I’ve ever had, as tender as it can be, generous in quantity. The fries were also on point, and you could taste that the sauces were homemade. Last but not least, the manager whom served us looked like Freddie Mercury, what can you ask for more ? Would definitely recommend, and will absolutely come back.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Service was ideal, not too over bearing but checked in with us throughout our visit. The menu is concise and yet broad enough to find something for most. My partner had the spicy chicken burger while I opted for rhe half roast chicken. I feel I made the best decision as that chicken was melt in the mouth and succulent. The bread is a must get. We thought it might just been some basic bread but the little monkey bread style basket that came out was so much more that that. We ended up fighting over it.

The food was okay, but the service was pretty bad. The waiter was clueless. I asked for two beers, and he only brought one. When asked if the burger came with fries, he said yes, then changed his mind. I asked if the water on the table was the only one they had, and he said it was, without mentioning that a bottle costs €7.50. I asked for it cold, and he still didn't bring it. In short, it could have been a pleasant meal, but it ended up being uncomfortable. I should also mention that I asked another waiter for the missing beer, and he was much nicer. Things might have gone much better with that waiter.

As their name states - get the chicken hahaha. I had the half chicken - delicious. Some of the other items at our table were very good as well. Their homemade fries are great too. Our waiter was very nice, but after we got our food, we were kindly of lost in the shuffle. We did have great seats by the front - watching the world pass by. In a sea of generic restaurants, this one stands out with rotisserie chicken. It is a solid choice - thanks.

10/10 Here, they transform "ordinary chicken" into a "culinary feast." The expression "KIPLEKKER" suddenly takes on a whole new meaning and depth. The service was good, polite, and fast, and they also honestly explained the portion sizes and what to do/not do or combine. The cutlery, dishes, and napkins were perfectly tailored to your desire to enjoy delicious chicken. Traditionally DELICIOUS and tender grilled chicken. Seasoned and grilled correctly, making it tender, cooked through, and NOT dry. Served in/with various combinations. The potatoes/baby potatoes (Roseval potatoes) and coleslaw were also of TOP quality and flavor. A great TEAM in a beautiful, clean, and large restaurant (which you wouldn't know from the outside). Our "minuses": the readability of the menu (combination of font size, color scheme, and "mood lighting"), CARD ONLY (no cash), the sauce cups (the tableware is correct; paper cups don't fit). But WE will be back.

Had an early dinner there on a Sunday evening. Ordered a half chicken with grilled vegetable and a chicken talo as a starter. The food is great but the half chicken was a bit smaller than I expected. The time to wait for your server to order food and pay the bill could be considered a bit slow, and so please be patient!

I ate chicken tenders and handmade fries. Expectations were high but it was nothing special. Very basic. Chicken tenders came with small sweet chili sauce that was not enough. Not even with extra dip.

The chicken burger was mediocre at best, the bun was dry and cold, the patty of something from McDonald's. The coleslaw was nice and fresh, shame the other food wasn't. Place has good potential if they get a proper chef hired.
