The Grill in Schiphol

The service guys do not know how to communicate with a customer and may judge them over their characters. I think those (staff) people are benefiting working in the airport. How? Most of the people do not have enough time to complain over the service, and just trying to catch their flights. Therefore this bad service doesn’t get enough complain as it deserves. A French fries should not be taking 15 min to serve. Here is the Netherlands, and we all know how long does it take to serve! People are ordering that kind of street food due to limited time in the airport. And yes, this is an airport fast food. Must be faster faster than anywhere else. But unfortunately it slower slower than anywhere else, and if you complain, the service guys is judging your character, and blaming you for not being patient. (Thanks Mr Doctor!) Additionally, beer was not cold! But this is peanut beside the behavior or Mr. physiologist! So, my suggestion to owner of this business; You must train your employees at first, and be sure that they know how to communicate with a customer! Maybe you can have a look for some good examples around!

Waited 15 (!!!) minutes for a hotdog and they made the wrong one. Super expensive too, to avoid!!

Vegan beyond burger is all I have to say. Remote the cheese and mayo and you're good to go. My leg was messed up and I couldn't hobble around the while confusing terminal looking for vegan food, but there it was, a glowing beacon of hope for at least one meal on a very long travel day. The lady at checkout was a gem, super sweet and I gave her a 25% tip just for existing. ❤️

Staff extremely slow and uninterested after a very long wait an ice cold hot dog

In an airport, quick service is crucial. Unfortunately, the staff allowed someone else to take my order. In the end it took about 30 minutes for me to receive my hotdog. By then i had to rush and requested a takeaway bag of which they said they only have a small plastic bag that could barely fit my food. They even forgot my salad. The hotdog and garnishes itself were very good but the bun was cold. That was really strange. Did they forget to heat up the bun or were they going for a hot cold contrast which doesn’t personally work for me. The staff was polite and offered me a free drink and extra fries but I would much rather efficiency.

This was a food discovery experience, one that I do not want to repeat. With no other buyer on the counter, so I had time and no stress, I was confused about the offering, as despite "new york style" meaty sounding options were vegan. They offered me the option to swap the sausage for pork or turkey option. My turkey choice was basically uneatable, the coleslaw I normally love I have barely touched at the end. The waiting was endless, and nobody seemed to do anything to service the guests better. It was uninvolved depression. As being at the airport means you are going to fly, this food is not compatible with future flying. The airport food choices got really much worse over the years, so the standard is not high, but I agree with the other reviewers that it is better to avoid this place.

All Schiphol airport food are crappy. The grill is no exception. Garbage food. I will Never come back

Possibly one of the worst eating experiences I've had. It was like the service staff had never set foot in the kitchen before. Waited 20min for food. Staff arguing with each other and not knowing what to make. Customers having their receipts snatched from them to check orders. The food was overpriced, stale and cold

They serve a Halal option of Turkey hotdogs. Well mentioned on the menu for the halal option. The hotdog was amazing

The place was understaffed and disorganised. Service was slow. I ordered a vegan mexican hot dog. When my order was ready I asked to make sure it was the vegan one. The man said yes. I compared the hot dog to the vegan one my friend got and they were very different. I asked again and they replaced it. They were careless the first time I asked. The food did taste good but I was very unsatisfied with the staff as they were very unprofessional.

It takes 20 mims to prepare the hot dog cuz the lazy staff needs to spent 19 mins to chat and walk around.

Go eat somewhere else! My experience with The Grill at Schipol was terrible. My boyfriend and I wanted to have something from here but a man who was then working told us that they have closed. Indeed we walked away after that. After few minutes, we saw that another person on that shift has served new customers. So much for a closed store. 😬 Lazy ass staff or just choosing customers? Idk.

My food was great, I ordered the plant based hot dog and because the slaw wasn't vegan I got more fries instead. Great meal before my 10 hour flight.

Walked away again, working in lounge 2, lady behind the counter not understandable, whether it is too soft or language, no idea but what a bad tent, 1 Turkey dog ​​was on a grill, nothing else, for some obscure reason the park could not be fixed...

Staff / 'chefs' eating behind the glass eand chatting. Front desk lady is lost and complaining about order changing during ordering process yet before paying.. Staff need training in customers relations

Unhelpful and incompetent staff. Had to remind them to give me my drink and wouldn't let me have a cassis fanta because it says orange on my receipt. 🙄 The hot dog (vegan) was average and cold.

Make sure you have a long transfer if you plan to eat here. Nobody seems to know what they're doing and even though I was one of two people waiting, they still managed to make a cold hot dog in 15 minutes.

Couldn’t get fries, hotdog took ten minutes to be “cooked”, bun was still refrigerator cold. €17 for a colddog & drink. Avoid at all costs. McDonald’s is next door. Go there.

Waited to long for a hot dog, even when it was no people in front of me. The hot dog was not even warm. So a cold overpriced hot dog. Dont order food here!

Over 20 minutes for 1 hot dog, at that point I just asked for a refund. There was no line, 1 guy in front of me and about 8 employees pretending to be working. None of them knew how to operate the grill, what to do, just panicked looks among them. Just go to anyplace else at the airport

A skilled vet could bring my hotdog back to life

Worst service and food in the airport. Staff are slow and abusive, one girl even pointed to a mouse when I was waiting for my order, the spent 30 mins as arguing. Manager not willing to speak to me. This place is run by rude obnoxious children. Other people were complaining at the same time. STAY AWAY!!!

Worthless. Don't do it. Run away. The line at McDonald's seems longer, but at least the staff there works really hard, so just go there. At The Grill the staff is completely disinterested and hopelessly inefficient. It takes ages for them to take the order. Painfully slow to prepare. Staff mainly prepare food for themselves. With every dish the wrong dish is announced (although the correct one seems to have been prepared). There are no napkins. You get a bowl of coleslaw, without cutlery (then spoon it with fries?). Then the food itself: well, the sausage has flavor, the garnish is passable, and the fries are quite tasty. The sawdust roll completely fell apart.

The hotdog with pulled something was average and I am unsure why the place has such bad reviews but I would not recommend this place.

Mrs. Rachelle was just sitting in the back on her cell phone and was barely at the counter. Aggressive and lazy.

If I owned this business I would immediately terminate some of the staff. As McDonald's has a huge line and we don't eat it, we were shocked to stand alone at The Grill counter watching staff members chat at the back. When we didn't leave as others who stood and wait did, a very unpleasant young woman (seems we interrupted her) came over, took our order without comment and slowly made our sandwiches. Other people came, waited and left during this process and no other sales occurred. Good luck to the owner, you might want to come onsite and see for yourself.

Terrible pulled chicken sandwich with old onion skins and luke warm. Service was very poor.

€4 for a bottle of water. Really slow for that too!

Whatever you do, do not buy the hotdogs, I repeat: DO NOT buy the hotdogs. It may be possible that if officers catch ya with the hotdog's bread of this place, they can accuse you of carrying a lethal weapon. The bread is so bad and so hard that it can be used to help planes to put the break. Aside from the hotdogs, the other food plates are kind of ok, additionally the staff is very kind over here.

Appalling vegetarian pizza, better off eating the cardboard box!

My Chicago hotdog was really good, the bread/ bun was of good quality, not the usual sawdust bun, and it was fresh and crispy. The sausage was well grilled, juicy and not dry. The fries are also unusually good. Again, not a cheap product as usual. The lady behind the counter does her job well, keep it up 👌🏻 The price of 15 euros for the set is typically high at airports, but in my case everything was fine.

Food mediocre, organization a mess

Pathetic, asked for English breakfast, the bacon over done by a day, beans where cold, the egg looked like it been hit by a malet, portions was small and the coffee expensive. Wish I went to Mac Donalds next door, waste off 16 euro.

The sorriest excuse for a burger I've ever eaten. Bun looked like it had been crushed in someone's fist. The 80g portion of chips we lovely except extremely small. Just no.

This place has some awful reviews. My order here was not so bad. The fries were pretty good with barbecue sauce. The kebab was pretty tasty, although the quality of the meat was sub standard, and it was seasoned more like a falafel than a kebab. The problem with this place is that is appears to offer something better than Macdonalds (and is priced as such). But the food quality is hardly any better.

Personally had a good experience here. The food was fresh and tasty.
