Food okay but not sufficiently attenuated staff

Surprisingly good for a somewhat business-like environment. The service is also personal and attentive.

We came for lunch but left empty-handed. No one approached us, and when we finally found someone, we felt completely unwelcome. An English-speaking woman told us we could choose a table. After waiting ten minutes, no one had come to our table. Apparently, our intuition was correct, and we were unwelcome.

Enjoyed a simple lunch. Good quality. The only difference was that there wasn't a choice of brown bread. Service was also excellent. The temperature inside is a bit low.

Delicious and refined food, wonderful wine, attentive service, a good atmosphere, and excellent acoustics, which isn't often the case in Amsterdam. A fantastic evening indeed.

Had lunch here on Sunday afternoon. Disappointment. It was cold, but that seemed beyond repair due to the central heating. The food was also half-cold. When we complained, no compensation was offered. The service was completely inattentive and disinterested. For example, they never came to ask if everything was to our liking or if we wanted to order anything else. A wine glass with a large sip left in it was taken away without asking. That sort of thing. Not recommended.

Cozy atmosphere, great service and unbeliavable food. Few people on my table had the calf cheeks and it exceeded our expectations.

We were a group of six and had a wonderful lunch here. The service was exceptionally attentive, the food fresh and creative, and the atmosphere ideal for catching up with old friends and colleagues. The music was at a comfortable level, the lighting pleasantly cosy, and the tables well spaced - quite rare in Amsterdam these days! Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely my new go-to spot for future gatherings.

What a beautiful café with such an eye for detail! The decor was light, fresh, and contemporary. The coffee was excellent and came with a small cookie—a nice touch. I also ordered a quiche, and it was deliciously warm and fresh. The service was friendly and genuinely interested. There was a cozy atmosphere, with customers clearly enjoying themselves. The music was subtle and pleasant. Everything felt well-maintained and professional. A wonderful place to take a break from the hustle and bustle outside.

The Lobby is Hotel V's restaurant and is highly recommended. The food is excellent and carefully prepared, although I think the portions could have been a bit larger. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, allowing you to truly enjoy your meal. The wine was delicious and paired perfectly with the food. The staff is attentive and ensures that everything is perfect.

A very nice setting. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to try the restaurant itself... but I did try the appetizers. The veggie burger was delicious and more than enough. The fries were also good, though all a bit greasy. Breakfast was perfect! Plenty of choice, even for veggies. After the performance at AFAS Live, I ordered a glass of wine (Chardonnay) to enjoy in my room...€12!!!!!! This is really excessive and outrageous! I've been to Michelin-starred restaurants where it was cheaper... without the appetizer or amuse-bouche... these prices are a real shame. It wasn't particularly tasty either, just an average Chardonnay. I would also like to see a bit more attention to hygiene. At breakfast, one gentleman was okay (preparing food with gloves), the other wasn't! And there's a very clever meat machine in the room with at least 1 cm of dust on it... Could be much better!

In the early years, I was a frequent visitor to The Lobby Fizeaustraat. In two years, I've been there at least 70 times, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is always consistently good, the service exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant and informal. The food is carefully prepared with quality ingredients and is full of flavor. I gave it 4 stars, but I'd like to give it 4.5 stars. As for me and my group of 14, October 24th, 2025: highly recommended ❣️

Beautiful and warm interior, kind and attentive service and the best cocktail in Amsterdam called Ghost cocktail.

The sommelier was truly fantastic, as always, engaged and helpful, and very friendly, as were the male waitstaff. The female waitstaff didn't engage with us. There was no genuine friendliness or attention. We only received the drinks menu from her. I went to get the menu myself, but it never arrived. The sommelier apologized for this. She was walking around with a cappuccino in her hand and wasn't paying attention to what was happening in the restaurant. That was the only downside to the afternoon. Since we both work in hospitality, this was immediately noticeable. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves. I often come to lunch with you, and I'm always happy and very satisfied, so this immediately caught my attention. Perhaps she was having an off day. That's possible! We're all human, after all. However, since you also ask for feedback, I wanted to give an honest review. Overall, I'm always very happy and satisfied. A fantastic place to be.

Delicious lunch. We chose the two-course menu: ceviche and sole fillet. It was fresh, light, and delicious. Very friendly service and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent location, right off the A10. Plenty of space, relaxed atmosphere. A bottle of tap water and glasses were brought to the table immediately, and the food was served promptly. Portions were a good size, though a bit small for those hungry, but the flavors were delicious. The waiter on the terrace wasn't very welcoming and repeatedly asserted, in a rather presumptuous manner, that drinking on the terrace was mandatory because one of us only drank water. This could have been done in a more friendly and professional manner, and it affected the overall atmosphere.

Excellent service, free table water, free parking. Delicious food, a great spot for lunch or dinner on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

For us, the Lobby remains a winner. The location is perfect, and the parking underneath the hotel is a huge plus. We've been coming here since the very beginning and are so pleased that this restaurant remains a top-notch restaurant. The service is largely consistent, which creates a pleasant interaction when you see each other again. The food here is excellent, from breakfast to lunch and dinner, and also for drinks. RECOMMENDED!

A charming lunch spot with attentive and helpful staff. We weren't exactly blown away by the food, though. The steak tartare was okay, but not particularly flavorful. I wouldn't order it again.

Amazing place! Friendly and helpful staff that actually puts an effort into making sure their guests are well taken care of. This place has a really pleasant atmosphere with a beautifully designed interior. It’s perfect for relaxing or getting some work done on your laptop. The staff are friendly and welcoming. A cozy bar/café that I definitely recommend!

Nice terrace, nice wine and good food. I ate there with a friend we found the food great or just good apart from the dessert that was too sweet. Unfortunately not all dishes are on the same level. The service was nice and the wine advice is good.

We found the lamb tartare as a starter really too small. As a main course we chose the fish (harder). Well, a too simple plate without TLC for our taste. Too bad, because we previously found this restaurant an 8. Now we could not get further than a 7-. The service on the other hand is top. Good wine advice and heart for the business.

The 3rd time already and not for nothing. Deliciously good food and at the same time a very casual relaxed atmosphere and service, anything but stiff. Cozy ambiance and beautiful wines. A place to dine. Certainly not the last time!

What an absolute disgrace that such a high quality restaurant decided to put Foie Gras on the menu! Food sourced from the disgusting practice of force feeding. Not recommended!

Delicious food, the eggplant is highly recommended! Friendly staff, sometimes you have to wait a while before you are seen. Nice interior, pleasant atmosphere. Handy that you can park your car under the building and also by public transport (Amstel station is a 10-minute walk away). A good addition for me would be; champagne coupes, so you don't get to drink it from a wine glass.

What great quality they have together here, I always come away happy. The kitchen is creative and elegant, service is smooth and correct. And the wine list…really incredible for a relatively small restaurant in a hotel. We took a Frankenwein from Germany, never heard of it but very expressive and excellent with the catfish on the plate. Until next time!

Perfect for a business lunch and/or a good glass of wine.

We were visiting Amsterdam for a few days and I was looking for a dining experience! Researching I found the Lobby! We had the 4 course tasting menu it was wonderful. Service was amazing. We didn’t want to do the wine pairing but the sommelier suggested to split our one glass of wine into two half glasses so it accompanied the plates better! Highly recommend friendly staff great atmosphere and wonderful food!

Kinda don’t want to leave a review because this is my best kept secret in Amsterdam. Great food, relaxed service, in a warm atmosphere that makes you feel special and yet is un-fussy at the same time! Oh and the cocktails are some of the best I’ve ever had. I have been coming to the Lobby for many years, always to my satisfaction, but last night I was very disappointed. I ordered the starter Procureur as a main course but found the quantity far below par. a piece of meat no bigger than 4 cubes. In addition, I certainly did not find the taste special. Moreover, it is a pity that you even have to order and pay for a little bit of fries and salad. I paid a total of €190 and found this quite expensive. In addition, I could still pay €16 at the parking meter when leaving. However, the service was excellent and very friendly as always. But in short; disappointing this time.

Second time I ate here and was very good. Very relaxed but also good service. Sommelier came up with good suggestions and gave advice and space. You sit comfortably because of the bucket-like seats. The light is pleasantly muted and even though it was packed, it didn't feel crowded. Food was very good, only dessert was disappointing. Too sweet panna cotta and too sweet ice cream, but that was really the only criticism. The entrance with mackerel and yoghurt-like sauce was subtle and so was the surprisingly crispy topinambur (Jerusalem artichoke). The veal cheek was absolutely brilliant. Buttery soft with beautiful sauce! Top!

We found this gem on the Valentine's Day in the last minute and we had a wonderful dinner, excellent food and wine and the service that made it even better. A special thanks to the polish cheerful guy. We will be back!

Very nice place for drinks and dinner. From the outside it looks a bit atmospheric, but inside it is very atmospheric and "vibrant". The food tastes very good and the service is super friendly. It's just a pity that we both came home with food poisoning. I think the raw mackerel was no longer good. We paid 264 euros for the 2 of us. Before that we had a 5-course Valentine's menu for 59 euros pp + 10 euros a supplement pp + 18 euros pp for a bob wine pairing. Plus some drinks and a snack at the bar.

Once again a delicious meal! Pleasant and professional. The tables are not right next to each other and yet it feels cozy and intimate. I'll definitely be back.

Delicious meal in a Christmas atmosphere, great service, beautiful wine and food combination.

We regularly have lunch here. There is always a nice 2 or 3 course lunch menu in addition to the very varied list of a la carte dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and they always manage to find hospitable employees who pay close attention. Some of them have been there for years. They have a beautiful wine collection with excellent wine pairings, but above all the cooking is very good. We were there for the 2nd year for the special Christmas lunch menu, to which we added a cheese board with beautiful Dutch cheeses. When the waiter first appears at your table, they immediately put down a bottle of tap water without you having to ask for it. Delicious bread arrives immediately after ordering. We got a nice Cava as an aperitif (apparently it was part of the Christmas menu). Highlights were the scallop ceviche and a classic combination of deer, red cabbage & mousseline. This was lifted to a very high level with black pudding (from butcher Louman in the Jordaan), trompette de la mort (mushroom) and an incredibly beautiful gravy with four spices (pepper, cloves, nutmeg and ginger). This combination with the accompanying wine (De Toren Fusion V) made it one of those experiences that stay with you. At our request, the sommelier started looking for an alternative to the Ratafia, which they normally serve, for the cheese board. He surprised us with some great drinks, which we had never tasted before. It was great again. We will be there again next year at Christmas.

I booked a stay at the hotel; had both lunch and dinner there (I don't eat breakfast). The service is very friendly, the food is tasty. Unfortunately, that night, I got violently ill from food poisoning from eating there, so I still wouldn't recommend it. I was ill for the entirety of my trip.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, nice staff

Very nicely decorated restaurant. Service was fine. Food was good but not special. Two of us had the Ceasar Salad. We thought the amount of chicken was too much, but little Parmesan cheese and a bland dressing. The Brioche Toast mushrooms was also disappointing in terms of taste. The fresh fries were delicious, as were the bread and coffee afterwards. Friandises pricey.

The hotel was a really nice stay and was even better then we imagined, the staff was really nice and the hotel itself was designed in such a way that we you were not even aware that you are in the center of Amsterdam, it was really relaxing, will book here again!

Excellent vibe, both in the lobby and in the restaurant, F&B perfectly fine, good service. When you take a seat, immediately have a glass of tap water on the house, a big compliment!

Very tasty food, the chef came out to meet me and made a delicious vegan dish! The husband chose the option of four different types of dishes and each one was very tasty. We waited a long time for the food (about an hour) but it worth! The ambience is very beautiful and romantic.

On September 1, I made a booking for a breakfast buffet via the site in honor of a birthday. The reservation was confirmed with a time slot of 10:00-11:30. Upon arrival at 10:15 we were told that breakfast was served until 10:30. Hugely disappointed with this limited service and miscommunication.

The menu was disappointing and way too expensive for what you get. No classics available for people who just want a burger or steak.

Quality cuisine and friendly welcome. An excellent culinary surprise.

Per quanto fiduciosi e ben predisposti a cenare anche qui non avremo mai immaginato di trovare personale così cortese e un menu veramente completo che ha soddisfatto appieno le ns aspettative Ottimo l’agnello ma anche la loro versione della piadina con bacon e formaggi e i panini con ottimo hamburger! Buonissimi i dolci come la creme brûlé e l’ assortimento di liquori

For our stay in Amsterdam we chose this hotel both for the comfort of the rooms and the location, but also because it has a beautiful restaurant. Although we were confident and well prepared to dine here too, we would never have imagined finding such courteous staff and a truly complete menu that fully satisfied our expectations. The lamb is excellent but also their version of the piadina with bacon and cheese and the sandwiches with excellent hamburgers! The desserts such as creme brûlé and the assortment of liqueurs are delicious
