“I’m a man, a fella, masculine through and through — but I wept. The garlic shrimp with butter, the Caesar salad with cheese, the fish and chips… they brought several of us to tears. The deliciousness hurt in the best way, and now I ache knowing I may not have this meal again for years.

Excellent food and met with friendly and prompt service. Our waitress was Tassia who was very nice and efficient. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

This place is to die for delicious! Every single dish was a star. So fresh, flavorful, tender, hot and perfectly seasoned. We were all licking our fingers and oohhhing and ahhhing with pleasure. We had the an array of oysters, calamari, grilled prawns, mussels and the Caesar salad. Wish I could eat it all over again. Alec our waiter was an absolute delight as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Marli was our server and she made the night beyond special, it was my birthday and I will remember it forever, food and drinks that were beyond belief

Came for a light bite, the bloody mary comes with an oyster, the clams with cream sauce was divine. Marli took care of me and the meal was lovely!

We had a delicious meal. Tuna tataki made by Khalid, super good!

We ordered mussels as a maincourse for 22.95€ and when the dish arrived at our table, the mussel pan was only filled 1/4th. As an appetizer this little bit could be enough but this serving was poor. Very poor.

So so good! My favorites were the hot mixed grill seafood platter and the kibbeling! I ordered the lobster soup but I was not a fan. Luckily the waitress took it off of my bill. Everything else was excellent. I did not make a reservation. I just walked in around 5/6pm and there was plenty of seating.

We really felt in love with the place. Seafood and Sauces mmm yummy. And then the great service by Tassia 🥰 10/10

Great small sea food restaurant with very good range of sea food dishes and fresh fish, mussels, prawns, etc. I had a whole sea bass which was cooked to perfection and my partner had spaghetti vongelei, which was very good. We also had some cocktails (Bloody Mary) with oysters - excellent and recommend! The atmosphere was good, although the restaurant is small so tables are a little close together. Its also a little pricey, but we thought it was worth it for the quality of the sea food. We would definitely go here again.

Great place. Discovered it through an article about Oyster Hour in the Parool newspaper. Every day from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, unlimited oysters for €1.50 each. The oysters are very fresh and perfectly cold! The decor is great.

Paid €75 expecting a freshly cooked lobster, but it was dry, rubbery, and tasted pre-cooked. When I asked, staff said they “try to make it as fresh as possible” but wouldn’t confirm it was cooked to order. At this price, that’s kinda unacceptable. Disappointing experience, you can find better quality with a little bit more research.

Service was top of the class. Tassia helped us from the beginning to the end. Helping us choosing the dish, drink and being kind all the way.

Tassia was very sweet, mussels were good, ambiance is not the most cosy one but fine.

Tassia was a wonderful waitperson. Food was excellent. We had been there the night before, throughly enjoyed that meal and had excellent service. We seen a couple dishes served to tables around us so we came back a 2nd night - very nice menu with variety of fish dishes, that are served in excellent presentation - complements to the chef and kitchen staff. Mixed grill was wonderful.

I had higher expectations for their fish and chips based on the reviews, but this fell short. Instead of a classic fried piece of cod, I was served a fillet that cooked unevenly and didn’t have the texture or flavor you’d expect from proper fish and chips. To make matters worse, the skin was left on before frying, which made it unpleasantly chewy, and the fish itself turned out dry. And to top it off the fries were also under seasoned and dry. Not what I’d call a great fish and chips experience, but they probably do other things very well.

Delicious food, staff greeted us immediately and kept coming back when needed. Great service. Restaurant needs some repairs; broken, chipped chairs, silver screws on a gold frame, no art to cover bare white walls. Needs some art from the sea and the music is horrible. Not relaxing, like the ocean.

I had a truly wonderful experience at The Seafood Bar in Amsterdam. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I ordered the king prawns with garlic and lemon, and paired it with a Bloody Mary — the combination was just perfect! The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the service was outstanding. I especially want to thank Agostina, who took such good care of me throughout the evening. Her kindness, attention to detail, and warm attitude made my visit even more memorable. I will definitely return next time I’m in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

Siamo stati in questo locale, che fa parte di una catena, alla fine del nostro viaggio in olanda su consiglio di una nostra parente. Locale piccolo ma interessante e personale molto giovane e simpatico. Il crudo di pesce è vario e di buon livello, così come il misto grigliato. In più abbiamo preso una mezza aragosta e cche ci ha davvero soddisfatto. Il prezzo congruo rispetto al cibo e alla città di Amsterdam. Consigliato.

Habíamos reservado una mesa para 8 : 30 PM. Sin embargo, una vez que llegamos al restaurante, tuvimos que esperar fuera durante unos 15 minutos antes de ser recibidos y mostrados a nuestra mesa. Tan pronto como nos sentamos, inmediatamente se nos pidió que pusiéramos nuestro pedido. Elegimos el plato de marisco crudo mezclado. Lamentablemente, el plato no llegó hasta las 10 : 00 PM. Afortunadamente, IT estaba absolutamente delicioso. Dicho esto, notamos una discrepancia: el menú decía “2 ostras por persona”, así que como pedimos dos, esperábamos 4 ostras. Cuando le preguntamos a la camarera, ella nos dijo que generalmente solo sirven dos en total y que cualquier extra se cobraría por separado. Seguimos pidiendo aclaraciones, pero NO obtuvimos explicaciones reales. Finalmente, nos trajeron las dos ostras adicionales y nos cobraron por ellas. Mientras tanto, otros huéspedes se iban, y el personal comenzó a cerrar el restaurante, incluida la cocina, sin informarnos. Habíamos querido pedir más, pero IT ya NO era posible. Pedimos el postre cuando todavía estábamos comiendo, y IT fue apresurado a salir a nosotros sin mucho cuidado. Al final, tuvimos que comer todo rápidamente, en una media hora, y fuimos los últimos en irnos. En resumen: la comida es excelente, pero si quieres cenar aquí, asegúrate de venir temprano, de lo contrario, podrías terminar con una experiencia apresurada y decepcionante.

João is the absolute best. Made the experience with my family a truly unforgettable one while visiting Amsterdam for our first time! Cannot recommend Seafood Bar enough but specifically this location. It’s in such a great area.

We went to Seafood bar twice during our stay in Amsterdam and it was delicious. In both restaurants there was Joao ready to serve us, best waiter on town! 🍾

The food here was wonderful (coming from someone who usually doesn’t like seafood)! The service truly made the experience as well. Joao filleted my fish right in front of me as well as showed my mom that you can eat the meat from the lobster claw! 10/10 experience!
