This has to be one of the best Indonesian food being served in Amsterdam. Good selection of various dishes and extremely tasty. Warm and welcoming staff. Also very handy for takeaway.

Super nice people and extremely delicious food.

We had a fantastic meal here this week. We put together a plate with yellow rice, tempeh, green beans, stew, green beans and eggplant, and coconut vegetables. Everything was super tasty, incredibly fresh, and served perfectly hot. The atmosphere isn't exactly super romantic, but it is a very nice and cozy place where you can sit comfortably. Add to that the lovely people and the good, friendly service, and you have an absolute recommendation. We will definitely be back!

We ended up here via a video on TikTok. The people working here are very sweet. We were allowed to sample the food to make the right choice for our sandwich. We sat outside, which was lovely, and enjoyed the food. The price-quality ratio is excellent, and we will definitely be back more often, in sha Allah. 🥪😋

A fantastic cheap option. Delicious feed and the two ladies who run the place are amazing. We didn’t know the cuisine and they let us sample everything! Can’t recommend enough. Very limited seating though! Just be aware. More of a takeout place.

Stumbled upon this joint, didn't expect the food to turn out great! I ordered the Rame set which include mixed veg, beans, fried tofu and a choice of meat which i chose rendang beef and oh boy it was great! Soft and tender, not too salty but most importantly still flavourful. Didn't expect it to be so good! And the set was just £12.50 amazingly priced. Will definitely go back to try the rest of the dishes for my next Amsterdam trip.

I come here regularly to pick up a meal. It is delicious Indonesian food. The service is very friendly and you get a generous portion. There is a table, but it is not a restaurant; most people come here for takeout. Even when it is busy, you are served very hospitably and quickly. I am really happy to have Ikan Mas in our neighborhood.

Restaurant Toko Ikan Mas may be small, with only three tables, but the food is exceptionally delicious. The dishes are truly authentic Indonesian and, honestly, taste better than what many larger Indonesian restaurants in the city offer. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the prices are incredibly affordable, and the portions are impressively generous.

Beautiful flavor profile of nutritious food, which tastes like it's made with love. Generous portion size and kind staff. Spicy chicken, coconut beef, and a skewer with peanut sauce were my favorite.

Scam, the worst restaurant in Amsterdam

Absolutely incredible Indonesian food. One of those hidden gems that blows away the fancier restaurants. We actually canceled a reservation at a sit-down Indonesian restaurant to go back here for another meal it was that good. The owners were so kind and generous as well, practically forcing us to try every meat they had on offer before we ordered! Only 2 chairs outside for eating in so definitely geared towards takeout, but you could easily take it to go to a local park for a memorable meal.
