Truly delicious food, what a great atmosphere and beautiful location. Lovely tables! And what friendly service. Highly recommended for the neighborhood and for Amsterdam.

Excellent food; we had both starters, pizza, and dessert, all very good. It's unclear why the pizza was made small; they explained it was for sharing, but I would have appreciated the option of a full-sized one. The setting, space, and atmosphere are lovely. Excellent service; everyone was very kind and helpful. Recommended.

I had one of the best pasta’s I have ever had! The service was great, with personal attention and great care to allergies. The staff was insanely nice and the atmosphere was perfect! I would definitely recommend if you want to go for good authentic Italian food!

REALLY impressed by the food. Shared dining concept with great vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. It’s a lovely place far from all the business with a great outdoor space. Service up to standard also. Definitely recommend!

It's a very nice and atmospheric restaurant with good food. The staff, however, are unfriendly and incompetent. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, I felt like they wanted us gone.

Restaurant staff is very far from kind (have been here 2 times now and the friends & I was with experied it the same). Food is decent in price and taste.

Place with a lot of potential. However, service is far below standard. Hurried and inexperienced. Ragu with wild boar was more of a luxury pasta bolo. At half past 11 we were turned away on a Saturday. Not again

Was good pizza, though my other half's order was originally wrong, they corrected it quickly. Really small detail, but it bothered me. There was just a guy walking round and talking to staff loudly in the restaurant. Not sure if he was a customer or not, but kept coming in and out. I could see he was bothering other guests too.

Excellent service. The burnt mackerel with roasted leeks for a starter was delicious and a beautiful presentation. The dessert of elderflower pannacotta with rhubarb & strawberry & basil was earthy and complex with a touch of sweet -- delicious!

4.5€ for 500ml of tap water should be illegal. the pasta was so al dente it was bordering on raw

Dinner at the enoteca. Nice place. Peaceful. Limited pizza menu but the 3 tastes were excellent. Desserts also very good. Good wine list. Absolutely perfect service.

The food was old, pasta was definitely made earlier in the week. Very disappointed with the food. Ambience is nice and the staff is nice. But how can you come back if the food is awful? They really need to make it fresh and put more effort it in or it won’t last long.

It is a nice place, ok food but charging still tap water for 4.5 euro is not right. It is free everywhere, I don't care if you apply a special filter or whatever, I just want free tap water which is drinkable in Amsterdam. This is how you lose customers for 4.5 euro!

Pizza wasn't available every day, so we couldn't eat it. It was from Thursday to Sunday. The starters were not bad, but the pasta, panna cotta and coffee were very bad 👎🏻

The food was fine, but the service was severely lacking. Very impersonal, not interested in the guest and not cooperative. The manager was downright rude. The restaurant is near me and the food is tasty, but I won't go back. Totally soulless place. Not even the beautiful interior can change that.

We ordered pizzas, pasta, burrata and focaccia. I was positively surprised by the refreshing twist that Breda gave to these dishes with fresh seasonal products and innovative combinations. I would like to encourage Breda to explore this area of ​​tension even more. Finally, I did not have the most pleasant experience with the service. I didn't feel completely welcome/wanted as a guest.

We made a mistake by making a reservation at the wrong restaurant in Breda. This was resolved well so that Trattoria Breda in the Czaar Peterstraat, so that we could still eat in the Enoteca. Delicious food, lovely service. Thank you for your understanding. We would love to come here again!

Tasty pasta and OK wine, but when we asked for tap water, although we ordered our bottle of wine beforehand as well (irrelevant but still worth to mention) they said 'they don't serve tap water'. I am sorry, but I find this 'principle' simply ridiculous.

I understand the concept for a sushi restaurant, but not for an Italian restaurant... you might as well buy a bottle of wine, order a pizza and light a candle at home. You pay the top price but don't get the servers.

Italian restaurant that cooks first courses, second courses and pizzas. There is a distinction between the restaurant and the wine shop although they are two parts of the same place, but they have different staff and menus (the wine shop has a wider choice of pizzas and snacks, the restaurant has cooked dishes). Rather rude staff. Prices in line with those in the city, decent quality of cuisine, nothing exceptional

Eating here is an absolute 10! 😍 but unfortunately a chaotic and somewhat unfriendly service makes the final experience slightly less. It took quite a while before we could order, then the help was not very friendly and rushed, and then the order arrived incorrectly.

Been here for Valentine's Day. Service was rushed, understaffed for the number of guests. Food was fine, but on the meager side in terms of portions. Both starter and pasta carbonara were very limited in quantity. Pizza, on the other hand, was good. Red wine selection by the glass was really below par for an Italian. For what we tasted, I can find better options in the supermarket. Not recommended for the price per glass. Tent is a bit overhyped for what it delivers in terms of experience. Not on my list to return.

In a word Bad, charcuterie is a package of meat from Lidl on a board, pasta carbonara with no egg in sight and pasta still hard, not cooked, even the pizzas, the dough was not yet cooked. The white wine was too warm and in a cocktail the missing ingredient was added as a supplement. Too sad for words, don't do it.

Had the most gezellig dinner here with friends. Amazing service provided by Maria who made us feel so special, food was amazing and we would 100% come back to try the rest of the menu!

The food and service were excellent, the prices seeing that all the products are originally from Italy are acceptable. I highly recommend it

Delicious lunch, there were 5 of us, the drinks plate was ordered twice, as advised by the waiter. This was a bit too much for us. But don't worry, the doggy bag was ready afterwards. The straw zapretti with porcini was delicious. Excellent Trebbiano, excellent service! Recommended!

Gorgeous space however local pizzerias offer better pizzas at much lower prices! The famous Primitivo was not available and starters were highly disappointing

Like Mara Grimm, it was very disappointing. Super messy service, disinterested, long wait. Pasta was very little and nothing special. Neither do pizzas. Too bad about the Breda people, you expect more!

Not very vegan friendly. Ate here once with a group and the pizza was great so decided to head back a 2nd time with a different group one of whom is vegan. Our request to do a simple Marinara pizza was seemingly too complicated for the pizza chef. After deliberating with the waiter he refused to make any pizza without cheese. The only alternative was spaghetti with tomato sauce for which they charged 19 euro. I'm not vegan but the whole experience soured me from ever going back again.

A real cosy spot with delicious pizza! Stracciatella and truffle pizzas were great, starters too, tiramisu was ok. The atmosphere was lovely, nice and calm ambient. Service was very good, highly recommended spot.

I'm not joking, I have not had better pasta AND pizza in Amsterdam! Just wow!!! Also the burrata appetizer was incredible! What an amazing addition to our beautiful neighborhood ❤️

Super cozy Trattoria with the sweetest service!! 💛 Be sure to order the appetizer board, the foccacia is the tastiest ever! We shared several pastas and a pizza with each other and everything was equally tasty and homemade. What an asset!! Thanks and see you soon!!

The food menu was decent and the dishes were in good taste. Cozy place to go with the girls or family! The wine menu is great that i was able to find my Piemento region grape - Nebbiolo there.

Nice semi fancy restaurant with some very nice Neapolitan pizzas on their menu. Burrata salad with cavolo nero and grapes was my highlight. Pizzas were very good as well. Liked the tiramisu as well. It was a bit dense like condensated milk, still very tasty. Two non alcoholic white wines in their menu as well. Pretty cool. The building looks very nice as well. They did a good job at dressing the place and keeping the historic vibe.

Definitely worth repeating. Fresh and tasty food, only that man in the kitchen who stood with his arms folded observing the restaurant almost the entire time we ate there was very intimidating and not really good for an intimate dinner.

A hidden gem in Oost! This restaurant is divided in two parts: the trattoria (full menu) and the enoteca (pizza and wine only). The interior is very stylish, with dimmed lights and Scandinavian bistrot furniture. We had dinner in the trattoria. The burrata was excellent, with smoked taste and cavolo nero. The Neapolitan pizzas were quite good - the only downside was that the saltiness anchovies was completely erased by the sweetness of the cherry tomatoes and sundried tomatoes. The tiramisu was quite big and very tasty. Very good experience here, the service is very friendly. Next time I’d love to try the enoteca, you can pour wine yourself from the fridges…

The pizza is spectacular. Lovely vibe. The agnelotti pasta is divine. Maria and Stas provided fantastic service. We will keep coming back.

Bad timing for us since there was a problem with the system. However the minimum would be to offer a drink to cut the wait, we left after an hour with no food and no drink served … Poor gestion from the manager / owner that was behind the counter with her telephone not paying attention to the clients.

Fijne locatie, smaakvolle inrichting. De hoge tafels met hoge krukken daar moet je van houden. (Achteraf bleek dat je bij de reservering kunt aangeven dat je laag wil zitten.) Verder is het super knus: je zit dichter op de buren dan je tafelgenoot omdat de tafel aan de brede kant is. De akoestiek is suboptimaal; het is gezellig luidruchtig, dus het helpt als je ook een beetje kunt liplezen. De bediening is vriendelijk of op het plichtmatige af, afhankelijk van wie er naar je tafel komt. Dat deden ze helaas niet nog even nadat het hoofdgerecht Bucatini was uitgeserveerd. De borden waren weliswaar voorverwarmd - zo fijn! - maar het gerecht lauw. Echt zonde, want aan de kwaliteit van de keuken lag het niet. De gerechten waren zeker smaakvol edoch niet overvloedig. Een lekker stukje brood en olijfolie was zeker van pas gekomen. Dat was het.

It’s just not great Italian food, which shouldn’t have been a surprise as they make carbonara with pancetta. I went with a group of friends, and we ordered two salads, two pastas, and two pizzas. The pizzas weren’t too bad — cooked well with decent flavor. And the arugula salad was pretty good. On the other hand, the beetroot salad had little flavor or beets, and the meat for the ragu was so dry it was like eating sandpaper. It certainly doesn’t feel like an Italian trattoria, as the name suggests.

Heel goed restaurant. Echt een aanrader. 1 ster minder omdat ze de laatste keer mn lievelings pizza niet meer hadden: Nerano Special. Anders had ik zeker 5 sterren gegeven.

Trattoria Breda is one of those places I want to tell all my friends about and at the same time keep it as a secret all to myself. Found just enough off the beaten path to provide you with a peaceful, away from crowds lunch and dining experience, the place has the most welcoming staff, with a modern, minimalist interior design. Amazingly enough for Amsterdam, you can simply walk in for a spontaneous glass of wine and superb Italian food. The focaccia is hands down the best you can find in Amsterdam, and the rest of the menu changes to delight you with seasonal flavours. The winery next door brings the experience on another level, offering a great selection at quite good prices too. Last call-out, to the kitchen and the whole staff, for their amazing hospitality and vibes.

Wir hatten extra zwei Tage vorher einen Tisch reserviert. Als wir dort angekommen sind, haben wir einen Tisch an der Theke bekommen, da kein Tisch mehr frei gewesen sei. Der Kellner versicherte uns wir würden einen Tisch bekommen sobald einer frei werde. Während der Zeit unseres Aufenthalts wurden einige Tische frei, jedoch wurden wir nicht umgesetzt. An der Theke war alles sehr eng wir hatten nicht wirklich einen Platz für unser Essen. Daher leider keine Empfehlung Wert!

We had a very good time, the food and wine were amazing, the waiter were very kind and gave us some very good advices.

This place nails what an Italian trattoria is with a welcoming decor (and a pizza oven as centrepiece). The service is top-notch, and the wine is carefully picked and imported by the knowledgeable staff. The hidden terrace is the best spot to enjoy your lunch focaccia. You'll feel like you're in Italy, without the flight.

Good food, but like with almost every restaurant in Amsterdam, the tables are very close together.

This is such a cute date spot or for dinner with friends. Expect a small, curated menu which was a bit tricky as many items had pork which we don’t eat but we had a brilliant mushroom pasta and a pavolo Pepe pizza which you have to try, so great. Good service, good vibes and tasty food. Would recommend.

Je kunt wijn 'tappen' in het belendende vertrek, wat gezien de beperkte wijnkeuze op glas op de kaart een goed alternatief is en nadrukkelijk wordt gepromoot op de site. Dit was echter niet beschikbaar omdat er een groep in deze ruimte zat. Vrij teleurstellend. Ik ben van mening dat iets wat je maakt tot 'USP', altijd beschikbaar moet zijn. Restaurant voelt voor mij in zijn totaliteit iets teveel als een concept en mist daardoor authentiek karakter/ sfeer. Overigens uitstekende pizza's en erg aardige dames in de bediening.

The food in Breda (in the former in-stock building) was delicious. Loved the cauliflower, the pasta with 'stoofvlees', and the panna cotta. Compliments to the kitchen! Nice interior as well. One thing I would recommend to improve, the service: more attention for customers, follow-up questions like whether you would like an entree, suggest dessert or coffee when fetching empty plates, offer a new drink when bringing a new course and glasses are empty. In other words I could say we were a bit annoyed at the end of the evening from waving to get service. And breda misses out on a lot of potential revenue. (As well as tips, since we offered to add a 10 euro tip for the kitchen but when we looked at the receipt after paying we guessed they didn't hear us).

Heerlijk gegeten bij de Italiaan Trattoria BREDA aan de Czaar Peterstraat 21 in Amsterdam. Een verrassende menukaart met heerlijke bijzondere Italiaanse gerechten. Met als bijzonderheid dat lokale bierbrouwer ‘t IJ de hofleverancier is met ruime keus uit heerlijke bieren. Bediening is heerlijk relaxed en vriendelijk. Een aanrader!

Dit was de tweede keer bij Trattoria Breda aan Csaar Peterstraat in Amsterdam. Helaas minder goede ervaring. De porties (pasta) zijn kleiner dus thuis nog extra boterham gegeten. Vrienden hadden zelfde ervaring paar dagen eerder. We laten het voorlopig hierbij. Ander restaurantje zoeken voor in de buurt.

Trattoria gourmet, ambiente molto caratteristico e accogliente, menù con divagazioni italiane particolarmente accattivante. Il servizio è attento e gentile. Prezzo adeguato. Siamo stati molto bene.

Verbaasd over enkel positieve recensies; een lauw-koude pizza die snel nat en zompig werd vanwege de koude roomkaas die er overheen was gekwakt, werd na opmerking nieuw bezorgd en werd mij uiteindelijk verteld dat dit hoorde, ik kende deze variant nog niet en wil hem ook nooit meer tegenkomen, tafelgenoot had ravioli met weinig smaak en een waterige saus, ook weinig plezier aan te beleven. Gerechten stonden ook binnen no-time op tafel waardoor alles meer doet denken aan 'fast-food' met vooral een keuken die de gerechten bij elkaar assembleert dan koks met enige kennis van zaken.

Ein tolles Restaurant - Gute Atmosphäre, tolles Konzept, freundliche Kellner, und das Essen war eine 10/10 - absolutes Highlight: die Zapfanlage für den Wein in der Enoteca. Wenn wir da nächste mal in Amsterdam sind kommen wir gerne wieder! Liebe Grüße aus Berlin 🙋🏼‍♀️

Die Verfügbarkeit ist wirklich gut über die Website einsehbar und man kann sich auch über das eigene Portal einen Tisch buchen! Das Essen war wirklich super, sowohl die Pizza, als auch die Nudeln, da BREDA selber Nudeln verkauft, könnten es auch selbst gemachte Nudeln gewesen sein. Einzige Sache war, dass die Pizzasoße für meinen Geschmack etwas zu süßlich war. Die Kellner sind aufmerksam und man fühlt sich als Gast wertgeschätzt. Das Ambiente ist jetzt zum Winter sehr schön gestaltet und von innen ist das Restaurant sehr schön designed und dekoriert. Jedoch drei Sterne Abzug, weil an einem Nachbartisch der Hund auf dem Schoß von einem Gast saß. Bezüglich Essen trotzdem eine Empfehlung!

Very cozy place with good Italian food. As a Brazilian the only thing I don't like too much is the amount of spice in the pizza. Maybe it was the dish I ordered so if you are not familiar with local flavors, be careful of what to order.
