Truffle boutique in Vondelbuurt

The restaurant is excellent. The young girl who served us this Friday was extremely kind. Always smiling and helpful. Thanks to her for her welcome. We shared a veggie burger and a truffle burrata salad. The country bread that accompanies the salad is incredible.

The server was very nice, but nothing can make up for the flavor of this food. I had an egg salad brioche. Was more like a mayonnaise bun topped with half an avocado (fat on fat) and the most distasteful truffle I've ever had the misfortune of tasting. They must get a good deal on jarred or canned sliced truffle. Yikes.

For my last night in Amsterdam I got a delicious plate of ravioli with truffles.

What a shame that such a lovely place with a seemingly talented kitchen has one of the most terrible restaurant staff I ever experienced. The level of rudeness and lack of good manners was outstanding. We waited for more than an hour for the main course, while all the other tables that came after us, as well as 3 food delivery pick-ups, were served. On top of that all, it was nearly impossible to get any attention from the waitress when we wanted to get an update about the order. After another 20 min when we finally got the attention of the waitress by quite big gesturing, she finally went to check on the order. Needed to say that over the entire time, nobody asked us if we wanted any drink refills nor any apology for waiting arrived. After waiting for so long, we simply had been disappointed enough and decided to eat elsewhere, as we had other evening plans on schedule after this dinner and had no time left. No apology was delivered after either, the waitress seemed rather annoyed. The bill was thrown on the table like food for a dog. Eventually, I decided to take the bill and bring it to the register, as the waitress basically ran away before I tried to say anything. The fact that the waitress did not even look in my eyes when I tried to pay and did not say a word when we were leaving completed it all. I am very disappointed as I heard a lot of good about this place, but could simply not see it anyhow. This definitely comes on the list of my worst dinner experiences...sadly enough that was meant to be my birthday dinner too.

Excellent food and experience. We were very well attended and received a pleasant welcome from the chef. The best pasta and the best cheesecake we have ever tried!

We had an amazing experience, I visited with my girlfriend in July and I had to come back with friends to prove the perfect Carbonara and also the cheesecake! Chief Lars and Merlijne made our night really special, we will probably back again next season ❤️

Delicious food, don't expect something you've eaten in Italy, keep an open mind. The best cheesecake I've ever had in my life; the base was perfect and the texture was surreal. Chef Lars and server Mirlijine were very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

A really wonderful restaurant, beautifully located near the Vondelpark. Truly a deliciously unique menu where every dish is noticeably prepared with a lot of love. For anyone who is still hesitating about visiting, I recommend making a reservation!

We went for dinner and it was pretty much all pasta with truffle. The pasta was good, a bit pricey…but well it’s Amsterdam. We liked the vibe, but the service was the real standout, big shoutout to them!

I really have no idea why this restaurant gets a 4.6. The food was really disappointing. I thought the spicy shrimp was way too spicy (but this is still a matter of taste) The risotto balls were okay The focaccia had no taste (I think the one from Albert Heijn is 10x better) And I don't think the truffle that is everywhere is even a real truffle. It tastes more like stale mushroom. The service was friendly, but they didn't ask how everything tasted when paying. I would not recommend this restaurant

I love this place but HIGHLY DISAPOINTED THAT HOT DOG DISSAPEARED FROM THE MENU. How could you do it guys? It was the best in the city!

N.a.v. good reviews online, we visited this restaurant on our 26th wedding anniversary. The location: nice and well decorated. Perhaps our expectations as avid truffle lovers were far too high, because we found the food very disappointing. All three dishes were topped with truffle, but so much that an alarm bell immediately went off. So many truffles for such reasonable prices!? It immediately became clear to us with the first bite: the truffle flavor was very subtle. We had pizza salami and ravioli; both dishes were okay. The spicy shrimp, however, were terribly salty! That salt lingered in the mouth for hours afterwards. Of course we immediately pointed this out and the lady serving was the first to say: "Oh, but I just ate them myself..." (...) She went to the kitchen to tell the cook, but she left the dish on our table instead of letting the chef taste it. Then she came back and said she would take the dish off the bill, which was logical, but thoughtful. A little later the cook also came forward, but he didn't give us a look or anything worthy of interaction. My husband and I are real catering people with over 30 years of catering experience, but a chef who does not even taste his dishes or speak to his (dissatisfied) guests is unprecedented. All in all it was not a success and I regret choosing this restaurant for our wedding anniversary.

Very nice place with nice decor. Service nice and not pushy. We ordered brioche with lobster and truffles it was delicious, ravioli stuffed with mushrooms in a creamy sauce with fresh truffle was amazing and for dessert cannoli stuffed with pistachio cream delicious. We wanted to order a wagyu burger unfortunately the kitchen was already closed so there is a reason to come back and try it.

Phenomenal restaurant that my buddy and I stumbled into on accident. The wagyu smash burger is one of the best I have ever had...the secret is the brioche bread as it pairs so well with the truffle mayo. Do not miss out on the Parmesan fries either! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for good quality food!

We were welcomed at 22:15, past the kitchen's closure time. We were the only guests and even though we were allowed in at this time, we were not rushed whatsoever. The staff is incredibly hospitable and the food was fantastic. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much!

There is little food, but little and it doesn't taste like truffle. There is only one attendant who does everything, so we waited 40 minutes for a table because she didn't have time to go and clean it; and 1h30 for water as she didn't have clean glasses. Not worth the cost

A friend and I visted last night. It has a cozy atmosphere,with good food and great service. The cannoli was an experience in itself.

We were really looking forward to this and we loveeee truffle! We had a burrata and an ‘nduja starter which were lovely! Once our dishes were taken away we then waited an hour before receiving our mains. We felt very forgotten about and wasn’t even asked if we would like another drink. It wasn’t particularly busy and when I said we had been waiting so long for our food, I was told it was because they only had one chef on- maybe not the best idea for a Saturday night? When the carbonara did come we enjoyed it but felt the pasta was too undercooked to be considered al dente. The burger was tasty but not very truffly at all, and I wouldn’t call it a smash patty? Overall, the food was decent, but disappointing. We waited far too long for our main course and felt forgotten about in the corner not even being offered a drink.

Went with a group of 4 for dinner. The service was nice and friendly (given that it was almost full and only one waitress who also had to manage the bar!!) For the food: courgette flower salad -15€ - it is literally 1 courgette flower! I probably should’ve read the menu more carefully as it’s singular there, but still, I was a bit shocked. Taste was okay. Focaccia: smallest focaccia I’ve ever seen, 5€ the small pizzas were pretty decent - I think the best option for dinner there Smash burger - just a no, super dry patties without much seasoning, which was served at room temperature (I think hot would at least be more eatable). This place definitely has a hot location right next to Vondelpark which is very helpful with foot traffic. I would come again for a drink and a bite, but not for a full dinner.

remove truffles from your dishes and reduce price 15% per dish, it would be honest, then I would rate dishes higher. your truffles have no taste and almost do not smell. everything else is fine UPD: I should admit the food itself is good, the only my concern was about truffles, but the answer below gives an explanation

It is the best restaurant in Amsterdam. It has a Brunch menu of different types, each one more delicious. Everything is natural and made with love. They serve wonderfully and the place is very clean. It has a terrace. They give you tap water without problem.

Top quality and friendly service!

Ate here today, we were the first and were served right away. Unfortunately, something happened after dinner and we were compensated by not having to pay for the food! This is incredibly thoughtful and sweet. Thank you again dear staff of this cute place🩷

The place has an amazing vibe firstly. I did not get the name of the beautiful person who was serving us :(. But she was amazing with the way she dealt with people and made them comfortable at the same time. We tried burgers and lasagna for main course and cheese cake for dessert which was an out of the world experience. Overall an amazing experience. Mist try!

What a superb experience ! Truly amazing. Service was incredible, and the food really good ! Very accessible prices for a lobster roll with truffle (16€!). My only advice: there could be less truffle, but of higher quality. It was very pretty and photo-worthy but white truffles aren’t the most flavourful.

Coincidentally found this restaurant yesterday. Good thing, too!! What a recommendation. Delicious food (plank with antipasti is highly recommended). Super sweet and good service. Know what they are doing. Also brought the delicious honey with truffle sauce. The kitchen will make it for you on the spot.

It was magnificent! It was perfect, I swear! Both the atmosphere, the food we mentioned and the service... We made a great start in terms of dining in Amsterdam thanks to this place. My mouth waters when I think of it. We ordered hamburgers, fries and pasta. In other words, the taste and quality of the food is evident just by looking at it. If I remember correctly, they all cost 50 Euros in total and I highly recommend it! A restaurant you will never regret.

If you like truffles you will LOVE this place! The staff was so kind and welcoming, and I loved the atmosphere of this place. It was another typical rainy day in Amsterdam but having some truffle pasta at this lovely place made my Sunday so sweet. The food was delicious and the ambience was perfect- we will definitely be back soon!

Oh my goodness, this is delicious. We ordered 4 dishes, everyone was pleased. Those who know about truffles may have questions about the quality of the truffles themselves. One of the most disappointing dinners in Amsterdam. The truffle has no flavor or aroma. The pasta carbonara, cold, overcooked, with the sauce very liquid. The croquettes and the pizza OK but the salad without any type of dressing. The positive thing is that they deducted the pasta from our bill after our feedback to the waitress.

Only thing I would want to change is to get bigger portions. Besides that it was great, delicious food and nice atmosphere.

What delicious dishes! This little restaurant on the Overtoom has been there for about 3 years. I don't understand how, as a truffle lover, I could have missed it! I'll go there again soon. The only thing is that it is not a very comfortable restaurant, but just a small place on the corner. But go there for the food!

Was so loud that I just ate and got out.

They haven't added the free portion of fries that was given for any order of at least 15 euros. I've ordered a portion of troufle pasta and the portion is quite small, even tho I paid 23 euros for it. The pasta is dry. The taste is not so great! And they couldn't add some parmesan to it?! They offered me a 5 euros coupon because I've ordered before from them, but it's not worth it. I won't order again!

Maybe because of our own expectations. The pasta was excellent with a delicious bite and sauce. The Philly steak was a bit on the raw side. The cheese made up for a lot in this. It missed Jalepinos. The truffle was the same with everything, including the shrimp croquettes. Fine, but there was enough in number of slices, but unfortunately a bit weak in taste. We think the dishes would have been fine without it. Would have liked to be more surprised by the addition of truffle. As indicated. More to do with our expectations.

Food was nice. We had indoors dinner. It perhaps misses cosiness (sfeer en gezelligheid) to bring the review to a four (for a dinner place). Probably better outdoors when it’s nice out. Food was nice. Truffle did not taste like truffle. Based on the amount of truffle on our plates, I assume it’s not real truffle. With a name as “truffle boutique” I expect truffle, truffle and truffle. 😁

Great place for brunch, especially if you like truffle! The food is amazing, good portions! Services very kind (I even left my bad, they found me on social media and reached out), and the ambient is really good. New fav in Amsterdam!

The service was excellent. I love truffle but some of the main meals were not flavoured strongly enough. I had a pasta carbonara and it had white truffle on top but the flavour was so mild I could hardly taste it. My partner had ravioli with mushroom and obviously the flavour was a lot stronger. The cocktails were excellent and the overall vibe was lovely. Just more truffle flavour required.

I can't believe how a restaurant called "Truffle Boutique" doesn't use real truffles. You don't notice the slightest truffle smell or taste anyway. An ideal place if you want to pay 0 truffles and high bill😂

A nice place for truffle lovers. They serve good brunch options with truffle flavors. I personally loved the chicken waffles with truffle honey. Decent food to price ratio as well. Would recommend!

Lovely place to sit outside right by the park. Friendly staff. I had chicken and waffles, the quality of food was excellent but there was hardly any chicken and the dish missed something to bring it together. My girlfriend had poached eggs and ham which was excellent.

If you love truffles this is your place. The food is rich with flavor. Everything we had was a marriage of flavors the filled us yet left us wanting to come back ASAP. The staff was very friendly.

Found this place by chance. As I understand it, this place is popular among the locals, and we just wanted to go to this place on our two-day trip☺️ We arrived at lunchtime and almost all the tables were occupied. The interior is very nice, but it was a little cold French fries with this divine sauce are my favorite! I just wanted to have a snack, but the portion was large. The burger was also very tasty. I highly recommend it to everyone! Especially for those who came for a few days

Super nice place for lunch and dinner. We had a burger and turffle fries. Everything looked great on the menu and the plates around us. Our neighbours had the lobster, I will make sure to return for that! I am gluten free but not celiac so I brought my own bread and they made me a burger with it.

This is a place that has now given me new cravings. Everything was so exceptional delicious 🤤 We sat 4 hours and hours cuz the cozy atmosphere good drinks, and little rain outside 😉 reason to come back to AMS just to try other stuff on the menu!!!

The Truffle Boutique is my favorite go to when I feel like something really different. The sandwiches are great, but the hot dog is also super tasty! Lars does everything he can to make you feel at home in his wonderful restaurant. For young and old!

Best best food so far in Amsterdam. We came here lunch time and didn’t know they only served pasta during dinner. BUT, the chef was so kind making me the pasta. We ordered hot dog, Philly cheesesteak, salmon, ravioli and lobster pasta. ALL prepared to perfection. So so good.

Truffle boutique has great prices for what it offers. Everything we ordered came quite fast and looked very appealing. The waiters checked if we were ready to order at least three times which we interpreted as enthusiam :) We shared the lobster roll and the philly cheesesteak, both were really good! Everything had great coherence between the ingredients, lobster was super fresh and the meat had a delicious stew-like but we missed a bit the taste of truffle as we were expecting slightly more gratings. The Fentimans drinks were also great!

Zeer lekker eten voor een betaalbare prijs. Bediening was heel vriendelijk. Zowel de voorgerechtjes, als hoofdgerechten waren echt fantastisch, heel erg lekker. Zeker een aanrader!

What a fantastic find. Small but atmospheric restaurant. The truffle ravioli was frankly the best pasta dish I have had in years. My husband loved the squid spaghetti. Paired with a lovely merlot and dessert was perfect but too much so they boxed it up. We couldn't have asked for more friendly and attentive servers. Thankyou ❤️

Le paradis pour les amoureux de la truffe. Le rapport qualité-prix est juste. Les plats sont équilibrés. La truffe n'est pas écoeurante et tous les produits sont frais. Le serveur est très sympathique. La meilleure adresse d'Amsterdam !
