A beautiful bakery that thinks it can also be a luxury lunchroom. Just stick to your last with your beautiful products. I waited a good half hour for two standard breakfasts, even though the staff repeatedly said, "It's really quiet today." The ladies were mostly busy with themselves. That one sighing and complaining woman behind the counter, who put all her energy into criticizing her colleagues and, even worse, the customers. Simply embarrassing to listen to. Too bad for the owner of this beautiful bakery. Fortunately, there are plenty of similar choices in the wonderful city of Delft...

Coffee and apple pie (without whipped cream) was €7.40. Unfortunately, the apple pie was cold.

I think the food is good. It's also a beautiful location, especially because of the Delftware shop. Service can be a bit slow, though.

We ordered the ski tompouce, which was excellent, with cappuccino. The cappuccino was lukewarm! I returned it and received a new cappuccino. This one was perfect! It's important to always serve hot coffee!

On Sunday afternoon at 16:15 no more coffee is served, while the shop is open until 17:00. It was announced that the last round had already been, so actually before 16:15. Strange way of working and losing turnover I would think. Not good service.

Good food, but the service was not right. The waitress refused to bring the food to our table, when the other tables had table service.

We asked the lady with the glasses on the desk if she spoke English, and she said that a little bit. When we asked her if we could sit down, she started speaking in Dutch really fast, ignoring us and asking the next person in the queue for their order. Really rude. Don’t bother visiting this place if you don’t speak Dutch.

We were waiting in the queue our turn for make an order, but the woman with glasses refused to speak to us in english (something strange when you are in a tourism place and you have an english menu). She just ignored us and still spoke in dutch with the next one in the queue. If you say "sorry i dont know how to speak in english," I can understand, but the most funny thing is that she knows but doesn't want to speak with us. You need to learn to be a person first to learn any language. Be polite and kind it's free.

The meal was excellent, but the service in the restaurant area was nothing to write home about. It took a very long time for the food to arrive and during the hour we were there, 0 tables were cleared. Ultimately, I saw a number of potential customers walk away because there was no tidying up and therefore no room was made for them. Priorities wrong (there was some wiping behind the counter)… Great food to take away, but I wouldn't recommend sitting here.

Very bad, the tables are not cleared, all tables are full of glasses and empty plates, the staff is not customer-oriented, you want to order something, after 25 minutes someone came after ordering, the tables are not cleared, after waiting 40 minutes for our order, we have to go to another place. If you go to order, you can wait because you won't get that either:)))

The pastries and cookies are always delicious. The service is just not up to par. They had rules between service and takeaway . If you want the pastries but you can not order at desk . I have no good remarks about service .

At 1:18 PM the kitchen was closed for lunch… While other tables were being served. Crappy tent

Delicious sandwiches and friendly service

I received good help myself, by a nice person. (It was too busy for the staff.) However, an old woman, an English-speaking tourist, was treated very coldly. It made me uncomfortable... She was told no to all her questions. “No, you will only be helped when you sit down.” Really an I don't care attitude. The woman with glasses was rude and not flexible at all. The older woman eventually walked outside again, disappointed. I'm writing this review for her, I felt ashamed.

When purchasing a ticket to the New Church Tower, they gave you a flyer for free tea/coffee in this cafe. I had to find this cafe, get coffee and buy a cake. Not a bad cafe, you can sit after a walk around the magnificent Delft. Wi-fi is free.

Very good, in this place you will find typical Dutch sweets, very friendly staff, I recommend the apple pie, inside there is also a very nice souvenir shop

We drank a delicious cappuccino and got a piece of brownie with it. Nice retail space with some hipper Delft blue vases, bears, tableware, etc. Bought a funny necklace with a Delft house and bicycle.

Geachte heer, mevrouw Op zondag 24 maart om 16 uur hebben we met mijn dochter bij jullie restaurant in Delft om iets lekkers te eten en drinken, maar helaas de meeste tafels waren “gereserveerd “er waren geen beschikbaar vrij plaatsen . We hebben de personeel gevraagd om een van de gereserveerde tafels even te gebruiken, maar ze hebben gezegd dat ze gaan schoonmaken en dat we mogen niet gaan zitten. Het was 16 uur en het restaurant om 18 uur gaat dicht. Wij zijn heel teleurgesteld van jullie personeel. Vroeger was het altijd onze favoriete restaurant maar helaas wij gingen nooit meer daar heen….

Nice combination of the café and the porcelain shop of Heinen Delft Blauw. Workshops/manufacture at the back of the store.

De bakker ligt naast een fantastisch mooie delfts blauwe winkel. 30 minuten moeten wachten op de koffie. Personeel is traag, niet bekwaam en onprofessioneel. Eten bij de koffie was lekker. Maar zo lang wachten terwijl t niet echt druk is…. De oudste dame achter de toonbank had dan ook geen peper gehad.

In the end we decided on a cheesecake and a tea. Because in the afternoon they were pretty much out of supplies. Which is actually a shame if you were craving something. But otherwise the atmosphere is good and they were friendly.

Very beautiful building, beautifully decorated and a nice combination with the shop selling Delft blue items. Had to wait a long time for both the order to be taken and the dish. Staff not really friendly. Food was delicious.

A nice business, unfortunately the catering industry lacks experience for the lunchroom. Service is slow and inattentive, forgets a lot (bringing cutlery, straw, removing tables). The lunch kitchen closes at 2 p.m., the tea is too strong because it has been steeping somewhere for hours. The lunch itself was fine, but lost its luster due to the poor service. Missed opportunity, because the business and location have potential.

Nice bakkerij for breakfast, good pastries and red velvet taartje. A bit pricey but its a lovely place and right at the centre of Delft

Food is not bad. However, the service was horrible. We sat on the table for good 15 minutes and nobody came to take our orders then I went to cashier and she told me somebody would come to take our order. Well that took another 15 minutes. Had the same issue with paying as well.

Nice environment with blauw porcelaines. Service is fast and flexible. Two ladies were able to arrange us a table fast and help my disabled mom for a comfortable seat.

Donderdag 28-12-23 was ik in Delft en ging ik ontbijten bij Bakkerij van Maanen . Gemotiveerd door het aantal mensen dat brood kocht heb ik ook een dubbel volkorenbrood gekocht. Vanochtend wilde ik genieten van het “ lekkere” brood van van Maanen. Tot mijn teleurstelling is het brood niet beter dan brood dat ik koop bij Jumbo, Lidl of het lekkere brood van de Duitse bakkerij Dinkel op Tenerife waar ik woon.

Nice place for a drink and a bit to eat. They also have a great Delfts Blauw collection.

Everything reasonable: cappuccino, pastry service. Very nice place, you are almost in the middle of a beautiful showroom of Delft blue pottery.

Worst experience ever. Sat on the table but nobody was coming to take our order. Went the cashier who me to wait at the table and somebody would be in a few minutes. After 20 minutes still nobody came, so I left. It wasn't superbusy. DISSAPOINTING, and certainly NOT recommended.

Beste ontbijt/lunch zaak die ik ken, heerlijk gegeten. Mooi interieur en uitstraling. Service had sneller gekund. Ze waren ons buiten vergeten. Toen we eenmaal binnen zaten was het eten en drinken er wel snel.

Bakker Van Maanen is allang méér dan alleen een bakkerij. Zo vind je hier naast heerlijk brood, ook leuke cadeaus, kookboeken, allerlei soorten pindakaas, olie en chocolade. Daarnaast kan je hier – zodra de coronamaatregelen het weer toelaten – gezellig ontbijten of lunchen. De nieuwste aanwinst van deze hippe bakkerij? Dat is aardewerkwinkel Heinen Delfts Blauw, die hier binnenkort zijn intrek neemt als conceptstore. Je vindt nu al drie filialen van Heinen Delfts Blauw in Delft, allemaal aan de Markt. Toch belooft de nieuwe conceptstore hier een bijzondere aanvulling op te worden: “Het wordt een mooie, grote, nieuwe winkel die er heel anders uit gaat zien dan al onze andere winkels”, vertelt Heinen Delfts Blauw’s retail manager Ronald. Naast handgeschilderde producten, kun je in op deze locatie aan de Hippolytusbuurt ook terecht voor gepersonaliseerde cadeau’s, gemaakt door de plateelschilders die hier aan de slag gaan. Zo maak je kennis met het productieproces van het Delfts blauwe aardewerk. Ook leuk: je mag hier straks ook zelf aan de slag met het schilderen van je eigen Delfts blauwe tegeltje. En natuurlijk is er de crompouce ook erkrijgbaar

Superleuke workshop gedaan. Delfsblauw tegel geschilderd. Hele aardige instructeur. Tegel moet nog de oven in daarna is die delfsblauw.

Heerlijke bakker in een prachtige zaak.

Lang wachten, onvriendelijk personeel, verkeerde bestelling gebracht.

Ik heb hier een bestelling geplaatst en toen ik de bestelling kwam ophalen werd ik eerst niet geholpen. Drie personeelsleden aanwezig, maar niemand die even vraagt of die mij kan helpen. Ik heb toen zelf maar gezegd goedemiddag ik kom m’n bestelling ophalen. Blijkt mijn bestelling er niet te zijn. Heel vreemd. In de agenda kijken, stond m’n bestelling wel genoteerd maar er lag geen bestelling in de koeling. De jongedame ging nog even verder zoeken, maar kon helaas niks vinden. Ondertussen stonden er andere klanten aan de balie om af te rekenen. Ook deze mensen werden niet geholpen. Dit duurde erg lang. Uiteindelijk kwam de jongedame terug en zei nee ik kan echt niks vinden. Ik bleef even staan, want je verwacht dan op z’n minst een andere oplossing of op z’n allerminst excuses. De jongedame zei toen ik kan je niet helpen met een blik van je kan gaan. Waarop ik zei dat ik het heel vervelend vond. Hierop werd niet echt gereageerd en ik ben toen maar weg gegaan. Wat een flutbakkerij echt waar! Voor mij de eerste en de laatste keer dat ik hier heb besteld. De bakkerij is ook erg moeilijk te bereiken met de auto. Ik raad deze bakkerij dus zeker niet aan!

Location is excellent, and its quiet and cute inside. I ordered toasties, a cake and a cola. I got bored waiting for the order, the staff is very slow. The toasties was not the best, cake was good. 11 euro for all this is quite good given where I'm coming from. If they can only improve the service a bit...

Très bon petit-déjeuner dans un environnement sympa et un personnel attentionné

Not bad: a sovenir shop and a bakery together. They prepare basic English breakfasts for 10€, it's allowed to use laptops but I didn't find plugs to use (neither someone pointed any to me). Not much expensive but nice staff. Bread is good, cookies too.

Bakkery Van Maanen is a good place for breakfast and lunch in Delft. I had the pleasure of having scones, though they don't taste like the real English scones, they were good. The menu offers a wide array of delectable options, from fresh pastries to hearty sandwiches and more. The quality of the food is good.

Was gezellig koffie drinken. Waarschijnlijk door drukte ofpersoneel gebrek duurde het iets langer als gepland. De moeite waard.

Lekkere lunch in een prima omgeving! Probeer de bakkerstosti eens ..... Ook na drie jaar weer een heerlijke lunch op zaterdag 15apr23. Een saucijzenbroodje en een espresso. Simpel maar 👍

Van Maanen is een uitstekende bakker met heerlijk brood. Jammer dat ze er een koffie- en lunchgelegenheid van hebben gemaakt die ook brood verkoopt, in plaats van een bakker die een kopje koffie serveert. Je staat hier echt altijd te wachten. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, maar deze zaak zou opknappen met een bedrijfsleider die de boel eens goed op de rit zet. Anders zijn ze wat mij betreft op weg naar twee sterren.

Lekkere koffie en gebak, echter mogen de stoelen en tafels wel eens een update krijgen. Je zit op een half afgekloven stoel. 😪 Jammeelr, voor de rest een mooie winkel

Schon beim eintreten hat man den schönen Duft der Brote bekommen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Bäckerei selber war sehr sauber und hatte zudem auch noch eine sehr saubere Toilette. Bestellt wurde von mir aus das Lachs Sandwich was wirklich Mega frisch und lecker war. auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Gebak en koffie (latte) waren heerlijk. Vriendelijke bediening. Leuk in de winkel met delftsporcelein (onder 1 dak) gekeken en iets gekocht.
