We had a delicious meal, chef's choice, on the terrace with the lively boat traffic. Super-friendly service and top-notch dishes.

Great! The chef deserves a promotion, but unfortunately, that's not possible. The only thing I can criticize is that you have to choose between the cordon bleu and the chicken burger... because they're both fantastic.

Super fun beer tasting, and the service was good and personal. And of course, it was nice on the canal.

Helpful barman suggested I use the bar on street level and carried my beer upstairs for me

What a lovely spot on the Oude Gracht! I made a reservation for 8, and it turned into a group of 10. The staff was very flexible and arranged a nice spot outside for us. We enjoyed the boats passing by, the delicious beer (the wine was excellent too!), the friendly staff, and the delicious food: we tried everything from fries to cordon bleu and everything in between, and everything was delicious. You do need to be able-bodied if you want to sit downstairs or outside. The stairs (outside to the wharf and one inside) are not suitable for people with disabilities. The restrooms are upstairs, where part of the café is also located. The toilet floor was wet; probably from water from the sink, but it didn't look very fresh. But that's the only downside. There were also plenty of games, and the decor is fresh and inviting. In short: absolutely fantastic!

An exceptionally nice terrace with very friendly service. The smokers on the terrace were a bit of a drawback, and the tables weren't clean (a bit sticky), but it's still recommended if you want to sample regional beers right on a canal.

We enjoyed a delicious drinks platter and three tasting glasses of beer each (mixed to our liking) by the water. We'll definitely be back.

Service was very friendly, the beer was good, and the food portion was a real cheek. Two small slices of bland grilled eggplant came on a saucer!! Price: €10. Conclusion: only drink beer :)

Everything you want from a beer pub!

We had a wonderful time sitting by the water and enjoying various dishes from the menu, which the chef selects for you. The quality is excellent! Besides the delicious beers, they also have excellent wines. The service was also top-notch!

Next to their own beers, they also offer a lot of snacks, even dessert. We ordered the beeramisu (tiramisu made with stout beer)

During our visit to Utrecht, we spontaneously decided on the 'VandeStreek'. We were so lucky with the weather and were able to sit down by the canal. The food was delicious, although the tapas might not be for those with a big appetite. They also offer a beer tasting (a flight of 3 or 5 house beers). The service was very friendly. 🙂 We'd love to come back.

What a lovely place to enjoy a nice beer and delicious food. We sat on the terrace right on the Oudegracht canal and were even visited by geese and a mother duck with her ducklings. The boats passing by also make it quite charming. Just outside the bustling city center, yet not too quiet, but very relaxing. The food is truly delicious and prepared with care. The biggest challenge is choosing from the various delicacies on the menu. And the beer selection is enormous! We will definitely be back!

Came there to enjoy a nice dinner and I was not disappointed. I have nothing to complain about : the dishes offered were varied and delicious (we had bavette and it was amazing). A starter and a main course was enough for me to feel full but also I couldn't pass up a crêpe (which I didn't regret !) - I highly recommend

Nice place but pretty dark, hot, and humid in the cellar. Food was quite disappointing, especially the portion sizes. The starter and main course were way to small. The sides of the main course were both twice the size of the main course itself. Flavours were good though. Canned beer was way too warm, the draft beer was nice and cold. Staff were nice too. In the end a relatively disappointing experience mainly due to the lukewarm beer and portion sizes.

Omg, the quality of the food and the presentation of the tasting beat all German breweries. And it's still very affordable.

Very neatly resolved by the staff, so we still had a very nice afternoon. That's service! Delicious beer and matching snacks, and nice on the terrace on the old canal. Top afternoon!

One of the nicest places to spend an evening in Utrecht. Wide range of beers, wide range of games and always friendly and helpful staff. We always try new beers, and the expertise of the staff always makes it possible to make a good choice. Absolutely recommended if you are in town!

Had a great team outing in the wharf cellar with a DnD session in the afternoon and then a delicious dinner. Well cared for and well adapted to the group and changed planning. And of course top beers, great service and delicious food!

Kitchen closes at 9:00 PM. They forgot to say that. Luckily they stayed open a little longer for us. Super! Unfortunately, coffee was no longer available at 10:00 PM. If that doesn't spoil the fun. Shared dining was fan-tas-tic! Tuna too delicious for words. Jack fruit rendang delicious! Actually had 75% of the shared dining menu and couldn't think of a negative comment.

I had been familiar with the beers from Brouwerij Vandestreek for a long time, very tasty! So when I went to see a band in Vredenburg with a friend, I made a reservation in advance at their café on the Oude Gracht. I must say that it is a cozy pub and the food is very good, reasonably priced and limited choice, but something for everyone, and for the enthusiast, also vegan. We had a nice seat by the window. Oh yes, the beers tasted twice as good as at home.

Nice place to drink good beer. We sat by the canal (downstairs) as it was hot weather. Beers were very good. The place was pretty busy on the Monday night we visited

We were lucky to get a table at the edge of the canal. Great location. Indoor & outdoor seating. Fab perch to watch groups motoring along the canal. Drinks were fine, food offering was bit poor. Crispy cauliflower was not crispy or even tasty , the calamari was also a disappointment. The best dish was the Camembert. See pic for pricing. I was recommend coming here for the views & location, steer clear of the food. No parking nearby, we came by bicycle. Access is via steep set of steps, difficult if not impossible if you have mobility issues.

Had to wait 20 minutes for my beer, while my partner was already served. Shame! And then want to pay. Want to accept cash, but don't have change. Special indeed! 🥴

We went there to just have some drinks and play some board games. The 0% alc drinks were nice and the place has a great collection of board games! The staff was also frequently checking up on us to see if we needed anything. Overall a good place to hangout with friends.

We searched for a long time for a bar on the canal that didn't feel like a tourist trap and finally ended up here. Delicious fresh craft beer, unique views of the canal and a cozy, pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back because the food smelled amazing!

Nice beers, and that's unfortunately it. Unfortunately we kept our visit short. After sitting on the terrace for half an hour, we went to the bar upstairs in the café. Here was a bald man of around 30-35 standing behind the bar. When we asked if we could order at the bar, the man grumpily told us that we should wait until someone from the service comes. We left straight away and will certainly not return until the grumpy bartender no longer works there or at least receives a course in customer service. I don't think you want your business represented like this by a grump behind the bar who doesn't feel like it.

Fantastically beautiful and quiet place on the old canal. Of course everyone wants to sit by the water, but it was full when we arrived. When a spot became available outside, we were notified and we were able to move easily. The ordered food was served outside and was super tasty. The Iberico sticks are a starter, but the portion could also have been a main. The ceviche was tasty, but could have had a little more acidity in my opinion. Furthermore, of course, delicious beer from VanDeStreek. Also try their non-alcoholic IPA!

Ate on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening. Extremely busy and noisy. We could hardly make ourselves understood. Perhaps also coming from the basement. Perhaps fun for a large, young group of friends or in combination with a beer tasting. Concept of ordering several small dishes and sharing is fun. The food itself was unfortunately mediocre (eggplant very greasy, cauliflower curry without cauliflower but potato, rendang and curry not really hot, ordered as a side dish of the vegetable of the day...we received 2 'heavy' stuffed portobellas). Desserts are very tasty!! Service very friendly and fast.

The beers are good and there is very good draught selection. The presentation of the food is good, the taste is mediocre. The service was a bit slow but friendly and funny. The price of the food is OK, but unfortunately you still end up with a big bill due to the amount of beers 😅. Overall OK experience.

Had a fantastic evening here. Choose from countless of those delicious VandeStreek beers, plus even some other brands with canned beers. The food was also absolutely delicious and the service was good. We sat in the basement, which certainly had a nice cozy atmosphere this autumn. Recommended!
