A breath of fresh air for the neighborhood. Lovely place. Excellent coffee. Friendly and professional staff. Especially the dedication and fast service from Sofhi and Celine. Always friendly and helpful. Keep it as it is.

Had lunch here. The chicken sandwich was fine. Nothing special, but tasty. Ordering is confusing. There are QR codes on the tables. But the staff doesn't seem to be used to that and would rather you order from them. Ordering and paying for coffee via QR code didn't go through properly either. I also prefer to order from a person, so if those QR codes don't work, remove them.

Delicious and good coffee, with a good taste, perfect bean coffee

I have been ignored, excluded and then falsely accused. When I said something about this, my story was twisted and I was blamed. This was not a misunderstanding, this was clearly discrimination based on my appearance and background. The fact that Vascobelo does not acknowledge this but twists it, says it all.

First of all: the cappuccino is (usually) made well. For that reason I come there almost every day. Breakfast there was also excellent and beautifully served. However, I think the service of the staff is really substandard. What strikes me is that the ladies are always friendly, but none of the gentlemen who work there are familiar with guest orientation: I have never seen a smile on their faces before, no warm welcome upon arrival, no apology when the coffee is made wrong (which can happen), no 'please' when putting down the coffee. Exactly the same today. I don't think I want to get my daily coffee here anymore.

Great place, super nice girls who serve, good food and always a chocolate with your coffee. Also a nice meeting point in Amsterdam.

Vibe is good. But the chicken salad is sooo bad, chicken smells disgusting.

If you refuse to let customers in at 4pm, then don't claim to be open till 5pm. It was one of the few places open on a Sunday at 4 in the area and it took us forever to lock the bikes and walk in with the baby on a freezing day, but the staff said they were closing. Both us and other customers checked Google Maps on their phone like, yea but in like an hour right? And staff goes on and on about they wouldn't make more drinks etc. etc. (all the time replying in Dutch although he obviously perfectly understands us in English). If you really have personnel shortage then put a sign like other locations on the door saying you'll close at 3. As far as we could see there was plenty of staff, not busy serving anyone not cleaning up to close or anything. This only feels like the non-existent service mentality to a new level.

Nice coffee place. I had 30min to kill before my barber appointment (also in Rijnstraat), so decided to clear up my emails while enjoying a double espress. Friendly staff, great espresso. Will cone back for sure.

A nice place to discuss... and delicious dark chocolate with coffee

Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. Very long wait for service, they didn't have many dishes left and the service was also bad: "I have no idea what kind of coffee this is, I'll put it down" and walked away while the coffee was then spilled. On top of that, the prices are very high compared to the quantity and quality.

This is my go-to coffee shop on lazy Sunday mornings. Always a pleasant atmosphere. Coffee and food are also great here!

Nice atmosphere but we were charged for a coffee we didn’t order (they did not check the bill with us while paying), and very expensive for the amount of food. Received one hamburger bun with two small kroket and nothing else for 12€. Would not return

The venue itself is nice to spend time in but the food is average at best and way too expensive for what you get. Coffee is good. Service depends on the person…

I said good morning to the male Bartista twice, even the second time no answer. I spoke to him about this after he brought us coffee, but he didn't think I should think so much about it. Just antisocial...

Crazy price for very basic cafe, 8.5 euros for fries and almost 16 euros for super small salad. Always noisy.

Put on your best oversize light blue jeans and put your hair in a bun and you have enough camouflage to not stand out here. Nice tea and the food is also tasty, although sometimes you have to wait a while. It's nice that there are also laptop-free zones in this café.

the dutch waitresses were giving mean girl vibes, it felt a little xenophobic and quite frankly it was not very nice.

I really like this place. The atmosphere is lovely. Cakes taste like heaven and the coffee is good too. The service is good, but when it's busy it can take quite long to order as the Vascobelo places are usually short on staff. Still, overall a good place yo visit.

Me and my gf went to have some coffee but then decided to also have some food because it was already lunch time. The place is super cozy and the staff is nice, but the food was a big disappointment. I got a beyond burger (18.50 euros) with some fries that I could probably have easily done myself at home. My gf got a stew (16.50 euros) that was good but arrived half cold. I got an ice tea that was cold water with mint, ice, lemon and a barely recognizable drop of some sweet syrup that I guess was supposed to be the "iced tea" part of it. Again, the place is nice but not at all worth the prices. Will not go back.

A great place to visit and enjoy breakfast

Very relaxed New York Library type of interior, loved the furniture and delicious food and drinks for a reasonable price. Good friendly staff. Too bad they are planning to redecorate and change the interior to a more modern one, that is one of the unique things I would come back for. One small notice: they have no facilities to change a newborn's diaper.

Prima locatie om af te spreken. Betaalt parkeren. Voldoende zitplaats. Rustig eten en drinken, mooie lederen relaxfauteuils en interieur.

Toilet niet schoon en accepteren geen cash geld. Koffie is lekker.

Verschrikkelijke service! Met 4 man achter de toonbank, praten met elkaar of klanten over koetjes en kalfjes is het belangrijkst. Klanten aan de toonbank worden eerder geholpen dan in de zaak. Cheesecake from Holtkamp had molt on it, disgusting! No alternatives given and just a sorry. What a horrible place to be at

Stopped here for breakfast and received a typically warm Amsterdam welcome. The service was very friendly and, as ever, in perfect English (We'll never learn any Dutch on this trip). The food was delicious with generous portions giving excellent value for money. We've been really lucky on this trip finding places the locals frequent and this was another of those.

Het ziet er leuk uit als je binnenkomt. We hadden een tafel uitgezocht met heerlijke stoelen. De eerste jongen die ons hielp was aardig. We hadden koffie en taart besteld. Vooral de koffie was lekker. Het gebak is niet heel bijzonder en vooral erg duur. Na een tijdje wouden we wat borrelhapjes bestellen en een wijntje. De meid die ons hielp was niet aardig en leek niet erg geïnteresseerd. De wijn die we kregen en de borrelhapjes waren niet lekker en veel te duur.

Heerlijke brunch op nieuwjaarsdag. Even bijkomen onder het genot van heerlijk eten. Alles smaakte uitstekend en zag er aantrekkelijk uit. Personeel heel vriendelijk.

Ceasarsalade erg slecht, 4 stukjes kip en oude avocado ( grijs). Verder yoghurt met erg weinig fruit in verhouding tot de hoeveelheid yoghurt. Bediening heeft het te druk. En heeft geen schoon shirt aan. Gore vlekken op achterzijde shirt. Tafels wiebelen allemaal.

Amazing place! Husband had the Vascobelo Burger served with Belgian fries, I had the Croque Monsieur (without cheese) with Belgian fries. He loved the sauce on the burger and the smell of the croque Monsieur completely filled the restaurant. Ambience was relaxed; jazz versions of songs played at a distinctly mellow level of volume. The menu was available in English. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We dachten hier twee flat whites te drinken op een zaterdagmiddag, maar viel vies tegen. Er kwam geen personeel op ons af om te vragen wat we wilden hebben, zelf moet winken en wuiven nadat ze meerdere keren zonder te kijken langs liepen. Voor 3,95 verwacht je dan een goede flat white maar wat we kregen leek eerder op een kleine, slappe café latte. En laat staan dat er kraanwater stond of werd aangeboden. Vervolgens werd onze tafel afgeruimd zonder enige interactie. Zelfs bij het betalen hadden ze nog steeds geen idee wat wij hadden besteld of waar wij zaten. Oh en het was verre van druk in de tent op dat moment. Kortom, dure tent zonder sfeer of goed personeel. Beter te mijden als je op zoekt bent naar goed koffie en aardige service.

This placed used to serve very good Belgian hot chocolate, but in the last months the quality dropped considerably. Baristas without experience, serving a very bad prepared chocolate: cold, the chocolate is not melted and settled at the bottom of the cup, no milk foam. Hot chocolate made without love and care :( Such a pity!!!

Wat een fijn personeel super lief en snel. Leuk en sfeervolle plek. Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent.
