It's closed and all they could do is put a silly sheet of paper written by hand with no information on when it should open again.

What a beautiful place especially the palm trees! My friend is not veggie or vegan but was blown away by the food - absolutely amazing and a brilliant promotion of plant-based foods.

Great vibe, beautifully decorated place. The food was good but expensive. On the other hand portion sizes were large. They charge extra for ketchup which was annoying. Extensive menu, would go back just to try more things!

Cool atmosphere and good service. Unfortunately, “Iconic Rainbow” wasn’t that good. It looks nice but is very dry. The vegan chicken is tough and the "bacon" is very dry. I expected better. Dragonfruit Ice-T was very refreshing and delicious.

Location: Great presentation. 5+ stars Service: Always friendly and with a smile on your face. 5+ stars Food: Super tasty and also 5+ stars I can only recommend everyone to eat here. Unfortunately, ordering via QR code has been stopped, but you can speak to the friendly staff more often this way :) Didn't want to leave and will definitely come back ❤️

Amazing, original and colorful place

We absolutely loved the food and the quantities were very generous, we had quite the feast. The atmosphere was also very nice and the staff very kind. The smiley fries were so fun and yummy at the same time. We were also able to buy an awesome Vegan Junk Food Bar Rotterdam t-shirt from them, which was great.

Was a huge fan of the vegan snacks they have. Had the loaded fries which were also very tasty, was a little bit less impressed with the oddly coloured sauces they put on top. Good service and fair prices

Visually it’s original but the taste isn’t there. I don't recommend this restaurant unless you want to have pretty photos of pink burgers

I'm a vegan for 14 years now and this is one of the best meals I've ever had. Four people ordered four burgers and we divided them amongst us, so everyone had a taste of four different burgers and every single one of them was delicious. We also got the shrimps and the calamari and those too were amazing. Furthermore the girl that served us was very helpful and polite. I highly recommend this place to all vegans that love their junk food.

Wow what a place, vegan food is unreal! One of, if not, the best burgers I’ve ever had. Their own beer on tap is also good! Excellent food and service in a great location.

Slow even if it wasn’t “fast food”. We waited about an hour for our food and the place was far from full. Very little flavour, every item on the Sumo Plank tasted exactly the same and the 4 sauces were only different colours, not different flavours.

We were curious to try this place. Normal sandwich, nothing special... Slow service and when I asked to split the bill it was not possible. €50 for two sandwiches... Not at all!!

You're coming here to have junk food. It's in the title, so you know what to expect. The portions are reasonably sized (not enormous, but certainly filling). The flavours are good. The bradwurst tastes heavily of seitan flavor, and could have used more pronounced "brat" spices. The Fizz & Chips was wonderful! I felt bad for the waitstaff that have to walk up and down a staircase to bring food!? You guys need a dumbwaiter! Worth a trip if you're in the area.

Came here for dinner last weekend. We walked in at 7pm and were able to place our order quite quickly. We ordered 3 side dishes to share, but we had to wait 1.5 hours for them... If the food was incredible, this might have been justified. But actually this was very ordinary, so we left quite disappointed. Very unfortunate!

Funky, delicious, surprising! I even found an equivalent of poutine ;) The only downside is the bill!

We travel to Rotterdam just for this delicious food. The service leaves nothing to be desired and overall there is great attention to detail, which is also reflected in the taste of the food. I absolutely cannot confirm the reviews that it wouldn't taste good. Because everything tastes great - you just want to eat it all!! The design of the location tops every experience there. We will definitely come back :)

I loved meeting you! I ordered Fly Wingz, a glass of wine and, for dessert, banoffee-style ice cream. There were great choices, especially the ice cream, which was wonderful! I found Fly Wingz very interesting, the texture of the shredded vegetable meat, the seasoning. The space is well decorated, very pleasant to spend time. The service is good and the price is ok.

Super fancy location for vegan food & drinks. A lot of effort was put into the design of the location and also the presentation of the food. I think the portions are a bit too small for the price, but otherwise everything was great & the restaurant is definitely worth a visit! :)

Delicious and fresh food, beautiful presentation and artsy style. Very nice for people who have to be careful with lactose (and of course animal products). The burgers tasted great. The milkshake tasted more like cupcake frosting (the pink one), but doable. I found the ice cream (on a Sunday) disappointing. I expected more flavor in it, but this was only over it as toppings. I would love to come back to taste more.

The food itself is excellent and lives up to the name of the restaurant. It is a big fatty bite, no less so than the animal fast food chains. It gave me a stomach ache all evening until well into the next morning, luckily I didn't have to leave within 24 hours of visiting this restaurant. The milkshake also tasted like chemicals. Not that it was dirty, but we eat mostly healthy food at home and it takes some getting used to. A second minus (minster): the service only spoke English.

I absolutely loved it here! The vibe is great, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious without being too expensive. There are great choices on the menu, and I can highly recommend it, even for non-vegans. I'll definitely come again if I get the chance.

We live in Holland. Rotterdam is nearby the facility that has the cleanest water. After ordering a lot of food and paying enough money apparently it was not okay to ask for water from the tap… this is not the case in vegan junk food bars in Amsterdam just saying. So this was very disappointing

Food was okay. I ordered a burger. However you can’t order tap water. In a country like malaysia i understand that but we live in the Netherlands. You can get tap water anywhere for free but unfortunately not in this restaurant. Had to go to the toilet to drink some water :(

The taste of the food is lower middle, but the price is very high. We had reserved a table in the restaurant, but when we got there we were told that the kitchen wasn't opening yet and that the waitress could only bring us fries or onion rings. We then had to wait 45 minutes until we were allowed to order something real, during which time guests who were sitting outside were able to order and eat as normal. I would definitely advise against eating out here and instead look for something better.

It is a really good concept if you are looking for a vegan junk food ! The location is great, the place is well decorated, they have friendly staff. The prices are also quite nice. They have couple of branches around The Netherlands, generally you don’t have to make reservation. The burgers, colourful sauces and fries are tasty. They have also nice cocktails. 5 starts to support the vegan restaurants in The Netherlands.

We had a nice meal. Tasty cocktails and milkshakes. Is beautifully presented. Nice and customer-friendly staff. Nice atmosphere too. Only the toilet was really gross. Never seen such a dirty toilet in a restaurant.

Got ice cream for the kids for the holiday passport and believe it or not, they both didn't like it. I've never experienced that in the summer/with ice cream. Tip: walk further to Capri.

Only went in because it was pouring with rain outside and I was hungry. The sort of place that thinks vegan means 'fake meat'. Plastic feel to the place and artificial food. Decent fries though.

Absolutely loved it here. The food tasted great, and the service was very friendly. They even offered to serve my dessert before my main as they were fairly busy the second time I went as opposed to just letting me sit there. Would definitely come again if I got the chance

My girlfriend (vegetarian) has taken me to vegetarian restaurants before and so far the flavors have always surprised me, even though I was used to meat. However, I was a little disappointed at the Vegan Junk Food Bar. We ordered a sumo platter and a hamburger to share. The flavors were sometimes very flat and with other snacks (take the cheese for example) they were strong and chemical. It may be that vegan is not something for me, but vegetarian is. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and so was the service! The highlight of the evening were the cocktails! They were very well made and the ingredients were also well composed.

If you actually want quality food, quality burger don’t come here, first of all the the interior says it all, it’s very maximalist all over the place graffiti type interior with the color pink and blue, really not a pretty space , 2nd my burger took almost 1 hour to be done, and last of all it tasted dry, very unflavored chicken burger. Very basic burger spot not worth it all. People with good taste of food and knowledge don’t come here and I will never come again.

A magnificent option for vegans (and non-vegans alike!) very close to the centre of the city! Wide ranging menu to cater for all tastes! Brilliant service and a wondeful atmosphere!

Recommended, not pricey and good service. On the day itself, King's Day, it was very busy. I will return. I'm unsure between a 4 or 5.

Solid vegan junk food! It didn't blow us away, the taste is ok, everything looks great, but it's nothing special. The various bitterballs were something different, I recommend the one with peanut chicken. Music was quite loud, one of the staff was very attentive, the other was super nice and quick and knew everything. It's also great that there are shakes, more choice of non-alcoholic cocktails would be great! There is also an outside area. Great for children: the smiley fries!

Very nice atmosphere and the food was very tasty. I had the double cheesy smash and sweet potato fries with a fuzetea peach, all super tasty! It was my daughter's birthday and my daughter got a delicious ice cream with a sparkler (fireworks) in it, super fun! It was served quickly and it was pleasant to sit there. The employees were also very nice and they could all speak Dutch very well. The restaurant looked cool and my kid really enjoyed being there. I almost didn't notice it was vegan! My family is vegetarian, so we were very pleased to be able to order everything on the menu again. I will definitely come again to have a nice meal again.

As a non vegan the food was excellent. We shared 3 items from the menu and all were really tasty and filling. The service was also excellent. My only gripe was the music which was definitely not to my 58yrs taste 😂

The food was very tasty. The replacement products sometimes come very close to the original products or even taste better than them.

I wanted to order a chicken with a steak from a real cow and chicken, but they didn't have that and it was thrown out, but then I went to have a barbecue in front of the door.

We eat vegetarian as much as possible and have many tasty alternatives to meat / meat substitutes. However, none of the dishes we got at vjfb were tasty. The satay bitterballs contain something slimy. The chicken burger had little flavor and way too much sauce. The 'shawarma' on the fries kapsalon was limp. And it was quite expensive.

Very tasty food, I was a bit skeptical about vegan food, but I have been completely transformed. The environment of the business is really nice. The dishes are surprising and special in terms of flavor combinations. To be repeated.

Normally always very satisfied at Vegan Junk Food Bar. Absolutely not this time. I come in with my girlfriend and we're already being turned down. All tables empty with a 'reserved' sign. We have to wait until someone asks if we can sit somewhere. In the meantime, two girls come in later than us and get a nice spot at the window that was apparently still available. We were then told (or almost ordered) that we could sit at the bar. Burgers are delicious and ready quickly. (hence the two stars) When paying, a card reader is placed in front of me and eye contact is avoided. Also no 'thank you' or 'please' when paying. Also not the question whether everything was to your liking. The sweet lady who paid before me did get this question. In turn, she answered honestly, "Well, I also had a small ice cream, but it's not on the receipt." She received a separate receipt for that... As a noble restaurant you say something like 'Oh, our mistake, good luck for you. I hope he enjoyed it' When we left, all the reserved tables were still empty (which was approximately all the tables in the restaurant). Then the staff could have just said: 'These tables are available until [time], will that work for you?' Or at least some apology for not getting a place, but even that couldn't be avoided. I generally think VJFB is really great. This time I got really irritated by the staff. But hey, maybe they all had something bad happen to them that day. You do not know. May peace be upon them.

Very nice restaurant, with a nice interior and nice atmosphere. Friendly service. The food was extremely tasty. The vegan hair salon and the chocozito dessert are highly recommended! A gluten-free menu is also available.

I am a big fish lover and my boyfriend is a meat lover, but I want to eat more vegetarian food. This was our first time here and we thought the food here was really good! 🍔🍟 Also tasty drinks 🥂 we will definitely come back!

Atmospheric location, but food was not that tasty. Had stomach aches afterwards. We also had to wait a very long time and the map was not up to date. Got another drink for a higher price. Hipster but that's about it.

This is a wonderful place even for meat eaters. In addition to good food, you can also sit and chat, the staff is not pushy. You wait a very long time for your food.
