The best vegan sushi. The "salmon" is indistinguishable from the real thing, and I look forward to eating here every time I visit Amsterdam. The wings are also incredibly delicious. The no-chicken roll is highly recommended as well.

Me and my dutch friend ate here twice throughout my trip to the Netherlands. All the sushi rolls i tried were tasty, as well as the crunchy oyster wings, but my favorite thing on the menu was the matcha tiramisu. It was so tasty that i got it both times i ate here. Definitely coming back next time i am in Amsterdam.

A very good vegetarian and vegan restaurant that is not overpriced compared to the quality offered, which is rare in my experience in the city of Amsterdam.

The sushi and sides are fire. The food is served fresh and its so flavourful! The workers are really friendly and kind. Its a small restaurant, but we never needed a reservation, they always had a table for us. You can order by scanning the QR code in the table and they will bring the food to the table, really easy. You'll pay after eating at the counter, but keep in mind you can only pay with card. Our go-to restaurant in Amsterdam and a recommendation for especially vegans!

We had homemade lemonade and buns. Absolutely delicious! The quality was excellent :)

Going vegan had me missing sushi. I was let down by many of the non-vegan places where the one vegan option was an afterthought. This place just hit all the right notheren European style sushi itches that had been needing scratching for years. 10/10; if only I didn't live 700km away I'd visit all the time.

Loved the katsu tofu bao. Maki was slightly bland and ginger was a bit saltier. But overall everything was good. Also, matcha Tiramisu was good in flavour but couldn’t taste matcha and mascarpone - so wouldn’t call it a Tiramisu :p Ohh and blue berries don’t go, raspberry can be a better option!

The best wasabi I've tried ever. Beautiful, good portions, good service and reasonable price for being Amsterdam. It's better to make a reservation cause you might not get a table if you simply show up.

Absolutely incredible! The No Chicken Teriyaki roll is the best vegan sushi I've ever had. The flavors are perfectly balanced, the texture is amazing, and it's hard to believe it's completely plant-based. Every bite was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you're vegan or not. I'll definitely be coming back!

First visit was great. Second visit was a disappointment. Lost our order and neglected our table for over an hour. Gave us the wrong food. Apologized for the wait and told us it was “on the house”, then later explained that only the complimentary dessert was free. All honest mistakes, but too many for one night.

Super disappointed by food and service. The menu, photos, and dishes looked wonderful (very colorful), but our two specialty rolls were nearly all unseasoned rice with a tiny bit of other food. It didn't taste like much of anything, but one of them was fried so at least that was something. Service was very slow. Beyond Sushi in NYC was leagues better.

We had dinner here and came back for lunch the next day.

I am still dreaming of the food I had here!! Sooo good. A must for vegans! I had the no chicken sushi, gyoza, and yuzu lemonade. Everything was 10/10. Very friendly staff who care about the vegan cause! Highly recommend supporting this business.

This place has some of the best vegan sushi I've ever had. Sanni recommended some great dishes and was very kind to us (she speaks Spanish). The chefs are fantastic. We ordered the Shrimpless Tempura Crunch, the Flambé Salmon, the Green Miso, and the Korean Pulled Beef. Besides the sushi, we also ordered the Crunchy Wings. The food was exquisite, and you could tell it was high quality. If I return to Amsterdam, I'll definitely come back here.

What a fantastic experience! The food was truly delicious and every plate was beautifully presented. The sushi with that crispy topping, in particular, was an absolute taste sensation. The gyoza on the blue and white plate were perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned. To finish, we enjoyed a beautiful dessert with matcha and fresh blueberries, served with an elegant gold fork. We will certainly be back here soon for another meal.

I stopped here to eat after an intense training realizing that I needed to eat something soon. I was not expecting the meal to be so delicious but boy, was I wrong. I loved everything I ordered, every distinct flavour each dish had, the spices and the drink as well. Will definitely go back as the place has a certain calm energy and neatness to it that I loved in Japan. Mind you, I was eating in at 16:30 so the atmosphere can be different later in the day.

I’ve eaten an ordered from here before, then the food was amazing. Last night everything went wrong. Ordered Takeaway at the counter. The staff was unable to give me any help with how much I should order per person. The order would be finished in 25 minutes. I left and came back to find out they forgot to put the order through. Finally got the order and went home to find the gluten-free part of the order was put in the same box touching the non-gluten part of the order. So my friend was unable to eat anything that touched the gluten. Then to top it off, the rice was not cooked well and was still crunchy. This made everything a bit dry and tasteless. Also, the ratio of rice versus filling was a bit heavy on the rice side, making the dryness even worse. Every part of the experience was disappointing. I don’t even know how they made that possible.

We went to try this vegan Japanese restaurant and I have a few thoughts. First of all: everything we ordered was delicious, well seasoned, and definitely worth it. We arrived around 5 PM when it was still pretty quiet, but by 6 PM the place was completely full. I strongly recommend making a reservation. The restaurant isn’t very big, so it can get quite noisy, with tables close together and kids speaking loudly. As for the service, I expected a bit more. I’m not sure if the person helping us was new, but I didn’t find the service particularly warm or friendly. Later, after 6 PM, another woman arrived and she was absolutely lovely and very welcoming, which made a noticeable difference. That said, for anyone who is vegan or simply wants to try the experience of a vegan Japanese restaurant, I would definitely recommend it.

The "Vegan Sushi Bar" offers a nice selection of Asian dishes, and we were completely impressed with the taste. My highlight was the vegan oyster mushroom nuggets, but everything else was also delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we had no trouble getting a table. However, you might want to make a reservation, as the restaurant is rather small.

Finding sushi that’s not just avocado or cucumber maki is an achievement itself, but this stuff is next level. The drinks were refreshing, the atmosphere relaxing and the food itself was delicious. Would recommend to any vegan looking for a real option, and to anyone wanting a roll above and beyond the average!!

Usually a sushi lover but I didn’t love this spot honestly. Got the chicken wings made of oyster mushroom and the miso tofu roll. The wings were crunchy at some parts but the batter was very gelatinous in others, the mushroom stems were also very thick which made them feel very wet inside. The miso roll was okay but it was truly flavourless and dry so I had to use a lot of soy sauce, they also weren’t wrapped brilliantly and all of them fell apart when I was dipping. The tofu also had no flavour which was kind of the main part of the sushi. The presentation was great. Food also took quite a while to come. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately as I found it disappointing. Waitress was lovely. The girl next to me also got a matcha which was cold so she asked for it to be heated and it genuinely took around 20 minutes.

The best sushi place ive been to probably. The sushi is just the normal, which is great. But those wings... damn. The gyoza... the sides are banging! This food made my day. I want to visit amsterdam again just for this food.

The space looks very nice, and so does the sushi. But it is just as expensive or more expensive than fish sushi, and the taste isn't particularly special. You order via QR code and then pay by card at the bar afterwards. It's a shame there is no service, that no one asks how it tastes, and that you have no contact with staff, etc. That also makes me feel that the price-quality ratio is not proportionate.

Incredible! Absolutely delicious!! I went with two friends who are not vegan and they loved it as much as I did. We were all impressed with the flavours, textures and variety of options. We had the bao buns, sushi and gyozas and all were incredibly delicious. I recommend it 100%! Very friendly staff too. My non vegan friends said they are now converted to vegan sushi!

Excellent place for delicious vegan maki! We also had miso soup and edamame, which were both very good and generously portioned. Among the maki, we tried a special recipe with impressive faux chicken...and some classic ones that were also very good. The service was pleasant and quick!

Actually incredible! We went without a reservation on the first night and the staff kindly let us sit at the bar. We were so happy & the food was delicious we immediately made a reservation for the following night & ate more! Make sure you book a table & try as much as you can, you won’t regret it.

Waited 40 minutes to get just 2 rolls. No heads up it would be late and offer to change our order, no apology when it came out late, and when we let them know we weren’t happy with the level of service they didn’t offer any discount or anything. A real shame since the two rolls were good, but unprofessional service and other reviews make it sound like this is not the first time.

Incredibly good! The food arrived super fast, and the drinks were great too! The sodas were delicious, and the matcha drinks were fantastic! The food was consistently incredibly tasty, super fresh, and simply a culinary delight. Even the kids found something they liked on the menu. Definitely save room for dessert: the matcha tiramisu is heavenly! I would come back here again and again because it was so delicious and the service was so welcoming! Thank you!

Really wanted to support a vegan business but you have made that impossible!

We're vegetarians and we loved our meal! The rolls were incredibly refined, far more interesting than the few cucumber or avocado maki rolls you find in a typical sushi restaurant. We paid between €15 and €19 for a set of eight pieces, but considering that all restaurants in Amsterdam are a bit more expensive than in France, I thought the value for money was excellent (eight pieces were enough for me, even though I wasn't very hungry). I also tried a yuzu lemonade and a vegan matcha tiramisu, both were delicious. To top it all off, the dim lighting was cozy, we were served quickly, and the two waitresses were very friendly.

The rolls were a great take on classics that otherwise rely on animal consumption! Really light but also filling. Everything came out quickly and was served accordingly.

I find it annoying when a vegan restaurant is disappointing, because I am still so grateful that vegan options exist. But sometimes things are just a little less than perfect. -The flambé salmon (€17!) didn't taste much different from the shrimp maki. -We waited half an hour before the food and even the drinks were served. -You really get almost no wine; with three large ice cubes, the glass wasn't even half full. - 3 items on the menu were simply unavailable. Can that happen?

I reserved my Too Good To Go order 7 hours in advance, only to have it cancelled at the last minute. If you're going to accept reservations, you should honor them or at least give customers reasonable notice or write it into the description in the app. Sad because I really like the sushi.

Ended up in Amsterdam during a week long road trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. Along the way, I saw plenty of sushi restaurants and I just wanted to have some as I thought it would be a bit different. This place was very conveniently located to us as it was just around the corner from where we were staying and being a completely vegan/vegetarian menu was an absolute dream for my mother who is a vegetarian. It was a little bit pricey, but was it worth it? I’d say it was. The food was delicious! Very much recommend to those who want something different. The staff are very friendly too. I would love to try it again someday.
