An incredible experience! Simply put, everything was perfect! The welcome and service were impeccable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We tasted the best sushi we've ever had; the combinations were both original and delicious.

Pricey, but absolutely delicious

Food was expensive but amazing. Staff was ok, but the windows and bathroom were not clean. It took ages for us to get the food. This was 1 year ago so things might have changed by now

Delicious sushis and sides, the salmon and tuna imitations are amazing. The deserts were quite small though.

Vegan Sushi Bar is a must-visit! We stopped by for lunch and indulged in the decadent mighty mushroom roll with an unforgettable truffle flavor, savory crunchy California roll, and spicy tuna roll. We also enjoyed the katsu and no chicken bao buns. Everything was delicious! We will definitely return the next time we visit Amsterdam!

Food was absolutely delicious 💜 Especially the fried "chicken" so so crispy! And the lemonades were amazing and just everything, so tasty! This is really high quality vegan food and tastes better than normal sushi, you don't go here because its vegan, you go here because its delicious 🤤

Last Friday, we spontaneously went here for sushi. Luckily, we were able to make a reservation two hours in advance, and there was still a table available. The sushi was truly delicious, and the fried oyster mushrooms are highly recommended. The interior is nicely done, though it lacks a bit of ambiance. The service wasn't very enthusiastic and was a bit slow. Because you order everything via a QR code, you don't see much of the staff anyway. There was also a mistake with our order, but it was resolved politely and quickly. All in all, a great place for good sushi. A bit pricey, with room for improvement in the service and atmosphere, but the food more than makes up for it.

Average overpriced place. Not the worst food in the world but definitely not worth its price. Service was also relatively average, took ages to get another round of lemonades.The matcha tiramisu was pretty meh as well.

I honestly prefer this to non-vegan sushi...it's so incredibly well-prepared. The type of rice they use is also much better than white rice! Highly recommended! And the cocktails are also fantastic.

Had an amazing dinner at Vegan Sushi Bar. Went there without a reservation (around 20:00) first got only the seats at the bar stools, ordered via QR code a bunch of different sushi and got a normal table. Staff was very friendly! Sushi was great, we loved the vegan fish and chicken. Bao was ok, not our favourite, but still good. You can only pay with card. What a great place!

Such good vegan sushi - I'm still dreaming about the crunchy no-shrimp tempura rolls - it was so good that we went back the next day.

Very, very tasty vegan sushi, definitely recommended! Ordering is done through an online website, which I'm not a fan of. But at least it worked well. The waiters were also very nice. However, the prices were too high in my opinion. Combined with the ordering process, only 4 stars.

Small, apparently very well-known vegan sushi bar. We arrived without a reservation and were immediately informed that a table would only be available for an hour. That was perfectly fine, as everything in the restaurant moves quite quickly. If possible, make a reservation in advance. We ordered takoyaki and three different types of sushi. The prices are a bit higher, but you get value for your money. The rolls were large and filling, but unfortunately, one of them was missing a shrimp. The flamed salmon also tasted good flamed, and overall, we were full and satisfied. It was a bit cramped inside, with only a few tables, making it especially challenging for more than two people. When we were there, sitting outside wasn't an option. If you're in the area and craving good vegan sushi, you can't go wrong here. It's not exactly cheap, but neither is fish sushi, and since the rolls are a bit more unusual, it was worth it for us. (the companion was not vegan but still absolutely satisfied)

We had such a great experience at Vegan Sushi Bar. The food was an easy 10/10, incredibly fresh, creative, and hands down the best sushi we’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly and even helped us out with a birthday surprise by adding a candle, which made the evening extra special. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be back.

The food is delicious, the flavors are good, and especially the Gyoza. Unfortunately, with the bao buns, both have the problem that the bun sticks to the paper, and you actually have to disassemble everything to be able to eat it all. They were very tasty though. As for the service, a bit rude, not very friendly. The menu is very dirty, needs replacing. Price relatively high, but this is to be expected in the city.

Food is really good, staff is very friendly, the restaurant is cute, but guys, I'm sorry it's just way too expensive. Over the past years prices have increased progressively and now 5 gyozas (whereas it's usually 6 and used to be 6 here too) cost almost 10€. What I also just noticed later on: they have included a 10% tip in the bill which is generally fine, but I also tipped myself while paying and the staff didn't give a hint that they have already included a tip. UPDATE: the owner is correct in their comment below, thank you very much and sorry for the misunderstanding. I updated the rating 👍🏻

So overpriced for it being vegan sushi!! Was far more expensive than most regular sushi and it did not taste that much better than other vegan sushi I’ve had

The taste of the sushi was pretty mediocre in my opinion. Especially for the cost. It was nice to get to try black rice sushi and to try vegan kimbap. The service was very quick and staff was very friendly.

We recently picked up sushi as our first introduction to this sushi bar. We opted for the Chef’s Special Box, with some extras such as a teriyaki dish and a dessert. The sushi itself looked absolutely beautiful – they really put a lot of effort into it, and we really appreciated that. What we did find a pity was the packaging: everything was in simple paper boxes, which just doesn’t look that appealing for this price range. The eye wants something too, especially with sushi. The taste was fine, but the different types ran into each other a bit – we missed a clear signature per dish. The portions, especially the desserts, were quite small. There was also an automatic 5% tip on the receipt, which we deducted ourselves. We like to tip, but then the feeling has to be right. All in all a nice introduction, but in terms of price-quality ratio and total experience we expected a bit more.

Excellent excellent, the best vegan sushi ever

We've eaten a lot of vegan sushi, and this one doesn't particularly stand out. The crispy rolls had a slightly burnt taste on one roll. Otherwise, they're solid but fairly pricey. With the Watermelon Lychee Lemonade, you'd expect lemonade rather than a pureed drink. It might taste different to everyone. It tasted like carrot juice to us. The buns are reasonably priced and a very interesting idea, but unfortunately, we weren't impressed. We're more familiar with tofu, in particular, from other restaurants. But if you're looking for a quiet vegan spot with fast service and friendly staff, you'll find what you're looking for here. It's okay, but I wouldn't recommend it.

We were lucky to get a last minute reservation I’d definitely recommend booking in advance, as there aren’t many tables. We ordered a selection of sushi, crispy “chicken” wings, and bao buns, and everything was absolutely delicious. The kids especially loved the bao buns

The crunchy California roll and Korean roll were so good, each different. Korean one definitely resembled kimbap as described with savory sweet “beef”. The rolls were well made too. The no-chicken bao bun was the most amazing thing we had though. The chicken was really crispy and the mayo was plentiful, the bun super soft as it should be. We got the passion fruit mango mochi icecream too and we’re glad we did. Powerhouse flavors both! Wish we could have sat down but we were glad they let us order take out!

The food was nice & the restaurant was cleaned but small (limited space). The staff service was very general only (could be better).

Such great food and the staff are so friendly! I highly recommend the korean pulled beef (pictured) and the shrimpless tempura crunch is soooo tasty!

The best vegan sushi I've ever tried 💜

The sushi itself was delicious, as were the gyoza, edamame, and drinks. The mochi was the star of the show. In all honesty, though, the food wasn’t life changing. As stated in the other reviews, the staff isn’t super friendly. You order with a QR code, which I found weird for such a small restaurant. It would have been much better if the wait staff actually smiled and greeted you like they wanted you there. The great thing is that I could eat everything since it was vegan!

In one word: delicious! Super nice place with delicious and beautiful sushi. Barely realized that it is vegan.

Ordered avocado maki to take away - 18 pieces for €15, which isn’t bad price wise. I’ve never had purple rice before but it was very tasty - looked super interesting. Served in 5 minutes - so quick and friendly! Nice portion of wasabi. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed this restaurant. Not cheap but very high quality. A variety of Maki sushi is available, bao bread, miso soup and other side dishes. Service was quite fast. There was not a lot of fresh air coming in, CO2 was too high.

It took quite a walk to get here. I was excited by the menu as I’m a big fan of vegan sushi and am never presented with such a range of options to choose from. Before ordering, I was sitting for a while waiting for someone to take my order - when I realised I can only order with my phone, by scanning a QR code at the table. When ordering, I had not realised that the sushi roll I chose would be fried. I thought the tempura would be inside. If I knew , I would not have ordered the extra side of fried wings..the takoyai balls seemed to be deep fried too. It would have been better if someone took my order and I could have asked about the menu before ordering. The lemon with each dish is not necessary and there was too much mayo sauce all over the sushi and the takoyaki. I would have liked to know what the fish alternatives were made of for the sushi as there were many different alternatives on the menu. It should have been cheaper for a location which wasn’t so central. I wouldn’t visit the place again because it did not give a good feeling after eating and the service was quite impersonal.

Outstanding meal! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The Vegan shrimp topper on the Tempura Crunch blew me away - tasted like shrimp, looked like shrimp, and had the perfect texture and crunch. We will return!

Sushi was good enough, I would prefer if you have the option to get them separately, instead the whole table order of sushi on the same tray. Miso soup was lukewarm, a bit hotter would be nice. The person serving us had a good attitude, but the service was a bit messy and slow. Either way, I would go again.

The hospitality shown to us at this restaurant was exceptional-- the best restaurant experience we had in Amsterdam. There wasn't any seating inside so they rolled out the front awning, put the heaters on and gave us blankets to support us sitting outside in the cold! The menu is fantastic-- it's so nice to eat somewhere fully vegan. All of the food we had was amazing, presented beautifully and definitely sticks in my memory. Great place-- worth going out of your way to visit.

Their food is bomb! My wife and I visited this cozy spot, and we had an amazing experience. You know the food is great when you find yourself saying you wished the vegan sushi in New York City (where we live) was this good. Highly recommend!

In this cozy place they have great vegan sushi. The taste didn’t wow me but it was really nice to have options with faux meat/fish rather than just your average cucumber and avocado rolls. Because of the special menu we could try various items. Especially the fried “shrimp” one I like. Vegan mochi ice cream was also tasty. Overall good but probably a bit overpriced. Tea was good tho!

There is no more Ramen in the menu :( Signature roll is kind of small, mushroom was over fried with burnt taste. Macha powder on tiramisu was wet.

Some of the best vegan sushi I've had, and some of the best sushi over all! My favorite was the cheesy tuna roll. All the tools were delicious though, and they were all made with forbidden rice.

Outrageously good vegan sushi. Seriously, seriously good. We came here from the Hague especially to try it and totally worth it. Small restaurant with limited seating inside if it's busy but has space outside too. Well presented, super tasty and quite a varied menu - all washed down with a cold Kirin beer. This was my first experience with vegan sushi, and I absolutely loved it! As a Japanese, I was delighted to see that gari and wasabi were served with the sushi rolls. The roll with fried shrimp was a fantastic blend of flavors. I never expected to enjoy the taste of shrimp again after going vegan. I highly recommend trying the dumplings from the side menu! Unlike the frozen ones I usually have at home, the dough was wonderfully soft and the sauce had a delicious, spicy kick.

By far the best vegan sushi I’ve ever eaten. Really reminded me of fish sushi, to be honest. We tried Happy Fish, Fried California Dream, and Flambé salmon - all incredibly delicious. For drinks we tried Peach Perfect iced tea and Matcha lemonade, both of which I’d highly recommend. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. Location was also great by the canal in a not so busy area.

The restaurant is very small and has two tables inside and two tables outside. It requires prior reservation via Google Map. The food, without a mistake, is very delicious and frankly exceeds expectations. They were creative with the variety of sushi and the different flavours. Very delicious and a very special experience.

A very small place, but clean and airy with very friendly and helpful staff. We ordered two plates of vegan sushi (mushroom and salmon), both of which were absolutely Delicious. The seaweed salad was also really good. We would definitely eat here again.
