I actually don't like writing negative things but when I called tonight because there was really very little sauce on my load of fries they said but I put it on myself that's normal. Sorry honey but in Zwijndrecht I recently had a delicious meal and I will not be coming back for food.

They answer the phone and then you hear them say, hang up because we are too busy. Service is just as terrible as the other branch in Ambacht. Next time drive to Zwijndrecht.

By far the worst Verhage in the Netherlands. If you have not been able to order at the checkout after 10 minutes, you clearly don't have things in order.

I ordered, among other things, a mozzarella sandwich online and got this... I had already ordered this once before and it looked good, but what is this supposed to mean?? He really wasn't feeling well unfortunately. I contacted the branch because I initially thought it was the wrong sandwich. I was then told in an unfriendly tone that it was the right one. Ordering here is not worth repeating 😅

Tasty food, nice place, bit expensive. Clean toilet but mixed.

The kip burger was very dry, there was barely any sauce in it, no tomatoes and a couple of old salad leaves. When I asked for some extra sauce, the server looked astonished and said "more?" Fries were super dry, I suspect that they were maybe old or recooked. Salt was not salting anything. I really didn't enjoy the food. I dont recommend, it's a waste of money

Fries "stew meat". Dry, tough bite. You ask for fresh orange juice and you get a bottle of apple juice......

Every order something goes wrong. They usually forget something. And if you ask for delivery in an hour, they will be at your door after fifteen minutes...

Good place, sometimes they just aren't good at counting so you get too much/too little change

Come in with a reason to have a bite to eat... that's good to know... something quick or a more extensive meal... it's always possible there!

Sometimes it feels a bit like the business is being maintained by young teenagers, without any managerial insight. I only came to pick up something, but the noise and chaos did not really put me at ease.

Ordered a loadedfries truffle with barely any sauce for which you paid 8 euros.

With 6 people behind the counter, 5 of whom stand expectantly watching how the 6th tries to do everything. A little tip: keep your phone in your pocket. And share fun messages and/or videos with your colleague during the break, not behind the counter in view of irritated customers. I would be ready to order online a little after 6. When I came in at 6 o'clock they still had to start taking the order. There would only be 1 large order left, which required all the frying. I finally left the building 30 minutes later. Unfortunately my order wasn't the only one that was delayed, with me at least 4 others. If there was better cooperation behind the counter and no priority was given to bizarrely large orders during rush hour, the atmosphere (in front of and behind the counter) and service would be better. When I was there, the decision was made to keep one customer with a large order happy. At the expense of 5 other customers with relatively simple and small orders. That was a shame and does not improve the reputation. Try to work on this, because this is how people run away from dissatisfaction

Nice central point. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. It is clean and cozy. The fries and other snacks are delicious!

I don't like the service, they are more concerned with themselves. The order I placed was correct on the receipt, but I found out at home that it was not what I received. The frikadel special was just a frikadel, the rest was good, Bambi snack and fries were good. The way of service, disinterested and busy with each other, did not give me a good feeling. After ordering at the counter, we saw customers who came in much later always receiving their orders. When I asked, it turned out that the voucher had been thrown away and that I had been waiting for nothing for a long time with 2 kids. Response from the owner: yes, if I have not received a receipt from my colleague, it cannot be made. Good response, no sorry, how annoying. Truly top hospitality at Verhage! This wasn't the first time!!! We don't come here anymore

Picked up a loempia and French fries. The fries were not done and very mealy inside and when I cut the loempia in half the “ wrap “ was undercooked on the inside and too much fat from frying. Took one bite, than a second and immediately reacted by throwing up. Not a good experience.

A DEPTH POINT in the Verhage chain. The place is messy and dirty, a local junkie regular customer, a group of young people hanging around there every day, mediocre food and the manager stands by and watches it. Slum! This should be a nice family restaurant. Just stay away from here. Bah

Fries and snacks are delicious, but milkshakes are not recommended

Ate in the restaurant last week. My previous review was bad and negative. The food and atmosphere were bad and the place was dirty and messy. The owner contacted us and we discussed the complaints. We were invited after the owner made a number of adjustments. And we are pleasantly surprised. The place was clean. The food was hot and delicious and the atmosphere was good. In addition, there were more experienced staff present in the business. Good to see that so much can change in a month. Thanks for the invitation and see you soon.

Unfriendly, disinterested staff, chaos, everyone was mixed up. Snacks were cold, had been ready for 10 minutes and fries were just fried, almost raw. Hogweed completely fried with black onion rings. Stew on fries, very large pieces of meat and tasteless. A waste of my 44 euros and you look like a fool to those who eat with you. Never again the 1st and last time Shame on me

You see all the reviews and you wonder why there is all these negative reviews, well, I tell you way. We tried this place 2 times, first time with a big order, which they miss one item. That’s ok, it happens. We called them to ask the missing item be delivered. And it took them more than an hour to deliver it after we called 3 times. Second time we ordered something to eat at the place. Again, 2 simple drinks came so late, and customers who came after us were served and left. The glasses were also dirty. At the end, we want to leave and when we said goodbye, no reaction. You’re not feel welcomed and being respected here, so why should we go there?

Ordered last night at 8pm. Unfortunately it took a long time so we called the Verhage to ask where it was. The food didn't arrive until a quarter to 10. We received no communication from them as to why it took so long. It turned out that the food had been delivered to the wrong addresses. The food was cold, shaken and the milkshake had fallen, the delivery person left it with the bag on the street. I personally wouldn't order here again. The boss says he wasn't there so he can't judge it.

I picked up food and I have no words for what I saw. The staff treat each other unprofessionally, one calls the other a loser, there is a discussion about who will throw away the garbage bags and at the rinsing bin they play with water and spray each other wet, the owner laughs along just as nicely. Then I pick up my order and when I get home, my spring roll is still frozen on the inside and the mayonnaise was not included. I went back and received a warm spring roll and a jar of mayonnaise, but in the meantime the previously baked fries have of course become cold. If it could be done right the first time, that would have been nice, but with such a working atmosphere that will of course be difficult! This was the last time I come there.

Yes, there are no other words for it, after having had about 6 missing or cold snacks with our online order, we decided to try it again, but then take it away. When you pick up you immediately see what a ball tent this is, staff are scolded by the owner (stress chicken), people call about wrong orders and everything you hear yes sorry can't do anything about it, new staff, busy...... . You saw half of our order ready for 20 minutes, strange that some things arrive cold (-: People, skip this one, 100% waste of your money

The fries taste bland. It would be tastier if the fries were salted shortly after frying. I think it's also a pre-cut bag, not fresh fries. The ice creams and variations that you can request are delicious. I didn't notice anything in terms of service the two times I was there. Edit because I can't respond to verhage's response: thanks for the confirmation! Then we look for another chip shop.

What a terribly unfriendly, dirty and aso place. Never eat anything there again. Everything is dirty. Dirty, slow people. Talk loudly to each other and very unfriendly to each other and to the customer. The place is really very dirty and the toilet is even worse. the bacon burger sandwich made me seriously ill

Getting something to eat for the first time, the last time was like fries, a mealy bite and then we started on a hogweed, which was filthy, fried for too long, the onions were black as was the minced meat. I personally knew the founders of Verhage Pim and Joop, unfortunately they have both passed away and they would be ashamed that you would throw their name away like that.

Just had dinner here, not at all what you expect from Verhage. Snacks were lukewarm, fries just fried, peanut sauce heated too long and therefore hard. Staff unfriendly and disinterested. Furthermore, the place was a mess. Go a few minutes further and you will find a Verhage (on the Sophiapromenade) where you will receive good help and the food will be well prepared.

Hectic situations here, people are constantly shouting at each other, chaotic, when it's busy they lose the overview. Tables are poorly cleaned, cutlery is forgotten. The bright spotlights can also be turned off.

Order picked up, when I get home half of the food appears to be missing, after calling 3 times someone is finally on the phone. It was already known that it was still there: but unfortunately no call. It could not still be delivered due to crowds and illness. Visitors better start eating with what was there otherwise everything would be cold. We drove back and forth myself, unfortunately no compensation whatsoever. You will lose your customers this way, at least us. Response: clear and that can of course happen, some things are beyond your control, but you would at least have made a gesture of your own accord. Perhaps we wouldn't have had this feeling about it.

Ordered food. Our receipt hadn't come out so if we hadn't called, we wouldn't have had any food. However, it was resolved quickly and neatly with an apology note and something to drink! Food was also very tasty and the delivery person was friendly! Well done!

Already ordered once, things are going better already. However, there was still a mistake during delivery last time, when no sauce had gone over the loaded tzatziki fries

Friday August 4 around half past five. Fries were not well done and the chicken nuggets were pale. Too bad, next time we'll go to another snack bar.

Slecht, eten koud, patat mega slap leek niet goed gebakken. Per chat een klacht ingediend. Bezorging was prima. Ben dit absoluut niet gewend halen meestal op. In goed overleg tot een prima oplossing gekomen..Dank jullie wel

Het ziet er een beetje rommelig uit binnen. En de bal gehakt uit de jus, is niet erg goed bevallen. Had erna goed last van mijn maag. Jammer..maar over deze vestiging ben ik niet zo positief.

Ze hebben hier glutenvrije snacks! ( Kroket, frikandel, kaassouffle en kipnuggets). De satesaus, stoofvlees en spareribs zijn ook glutenvrij maar dat moet je aangegeven dan doen ze er geen gebakken uitjes op.

Prima zaak, wel prijzig voor wat je krijgt.

Lege zaak, 4 medewerkers , bestelling opgenomen, aandacht voor elkaar niet voor de klant. Thuis gekomen cheeseburger zonder kaas gekregen.. eerste en laatste keer geweest

Friet was deels slap en deels te hard. Mayonaise was zuur, satésaus té dik. Frikandel niet lekker, maar dat is smaak verschil.

Ja was wel lekker... voor de verandering, normaal ga ik altijd naar de kortambachtstraat in Zwijndrecht Aardig personeel

Al vanaf het begin ben ik een zeer tevreden klant. Alles is mooi verpakt en het eten is erg lekker, vooral de patatjes. Een prima service en erg hartelijke eigenaar en vriendelijk personeel, kortom..... Een echte aanrader, dus! H. v. W.

Ik heb verhage in mijn telefoonlijst staan bij verrukkelijk! Zo juist kipkluiven op, geen kuiten maar massieve bovenbenen!!

Goed eten en fantastische erwtensoep

En ja hoor, weer mijn frikandel-speciaal vergeten (net zoals 2 maanden geleden bij Verhage in Rotterdam), de kinderen vinden het hilarisch maar ik natuurlijk niet, ik snap het niet want een dame vinkt de bestelling af.... gelukkig, na een belletje, kwamen ze 'm brengen, helaas zonder ui!!!!

Prima service en vlotte afhaalpunt. Bediening is erg vriendelijk.

Mooie verbouwde snackbar. Goed eten, wel redelijk aan de prijs.
