It used to be better! I received poor service from a girl behind the counter, who clearly has a lot to learn here. I had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even came forward (it wasn't busy). Then I was spoken to rudely! While I was paying, people she apparently knew came in, and she only paid attention to them, acting as if I no longer existed. I didn't even get a receipt, and she came out from behind the counter and hugged the acquaintances.

There was a dead fly in my drink, and the guy serving us said he couldn't believe it was already in there. Then, you can't have sandwiches after 5 p.m., yeah, okay, that's possible. But that's not clearly stated on the menu. It says "no lunch items after 5 p.m.," but you can just have sandwiches for dinner. He first said, "the bread is being thrown away—" then stopped and corrected himself. That doesn't give you a good feeling either. The food was good, though.

Nice snack bar; excellent food. A bit pricey though. Service is good, and they even cater to dogs!

Picked up food here today, the order of which was not correct. Once home, called the Verhage that it would be nice if it could be resolved. It was actually too busy for that. Fine, then please refund. The manager did not say a word, upon arrival at the Verhage, no apologies, nothing. Then she also gives 2,- too little back. What a sad affair this is.

My friend had 2 cheeseburgers, twister fries and regular fries to go. The food was terribly salty; we are now left with a dry mouth and sky-high blood pressure. After calling 4 times in vain, because no one answered the phone, I gave up and wrote this review.

Been here a few times since the renovation and the service is always very friendly and fast. The food is always great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Not just a snack bar feeling, but really eating out. And plenty of options for vegetarians :)

Waiting 20 minutes for a bowl of fries is a very long time

Just tried to have a nice meal with the family at this location. After 10 minutes the menu was brought and the drinks were taken. The drinks came quite quickly. After a long wait, we had to speak to someone ourselves to place the rest of our order. During the order, it turned out that the young lady had done something wrong, after which the tablet was dropped, but it was said that it would be fine... after another 40 minutes and after actively asking 3 times whether our food was still coming (later guests had already been helped) we announced that we were leaving. It's a shame that there are too few staff and not enough training. It may happen that a mistake is made, but you must actively ensure that it is resolved.

Let's be serious, me and my boyfriend just wanted to eat inside while it was 1 degree outside and we were just sent out by a colleague, this is unacceptable.

The girl at the cash register asked me all the questions neatly according to the concept (double meat, bacon, the receipt, take it with you to eat?) and the burger was delicious with fresh lettuce, not too little but just perfect enough, just like the sauce, also whole nice job, chapeau!

After receiving an incomplete order, I tried to call the company. After more than half an hour they finally answered the phone. And I think that's a bad thing. And if you get the answer yes, we have more to do here, when it is busy we don't answer the phone. I think I am also a customer who has already paid And for me it's not about them forgetting something, that's always possible, we're all human, but the follow-up treatment from the person on the phone was the last straw for me. That was also the last time I placed an order. And I've ordered it often enough.

Great spot for a quick and affordable vegetarian lunch

Very cool that after 1:45 you have not yet received any food and that you also receive an answer via the telephone (even the hook was thrown off). So I drove there and then with the clumsy excuse of “yes, it was too busy”. So 1 minute of calling in between is too much to ask? Bag with a manager who still needs to gain a few courses and experience. I have not received any compensation and I have to ask for a refund for the delivery costs myself. Too stupid for words. The best part was that another customer even came in at the same time as me and had the same problem. So it happens more often.

Nice renovated and enlarged Verhage, very beautiful, and more interesting to have a bite to eat, even freshly tapped beer. Staff very friendly. Gerrie

Friendly service, we were helped quickly, but it was also quiet. The food was nicely prepared and tasted great. The snack bar has recently been renovated and looks cozy, attractive and modern.

Very expensive!!! Schnitzel was quite small & flat for the price asked, the mushroom sauce was terribly expensive! 2 Euro for a little sauce + the mayo was 75 cents, really ridiculous. The little fries that were served with it were also rock hard. The coffee was old + bitter!!! For me everything together was worth 5 Euro and not a cent more!!! I had to pay no less than €. 18,= payment, which I find really rude + scandalous!!! So for me it's a No Go!!!👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Hi, I was just at the Verhage Sophiapromenade and I said hi to an employee and nothing was said back, I wanted to order but they don't really come, a horrible tent wouldn't come here🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Tried the new verhagen today. Became a beautiful restaurant! Staff is friendly, a bit awkward here and there, but that will probably be fine. A lot of young people hanging around and that puts a damper on the atmosphere. Advice to Verhage to stay focused on this. The food is always good at Verhagen so nothing to complain about.

First time eating here again since the opening/renovation, unfortunately the staff in the restaurant section did not want to see us, she looked at us at least 10 times but each time she walked in a different direction, we had to wait about 20 minutes before we got there. someone came to take an order while guests who came in after us were helped immediately. Verhage's advice is to have more staff and more experience working in the restaurant 2 is simply far too little. Unfortunately, I believe that things were better organized before the renovation in terms of service, ordering and serving. Hopefully this was a one-off and an exception.

We had a wonderful time and had lots of tasty food. I chose white wine and the carpaccio salad and my partner chose duvel beer and the menu steakhouse burger. Both were delicious. The patat were fresh and cooked perfectly. The children were also very happy to have chicken nuggets with patat, too. We spoke with the owner while we were there- really nice guy, congratulations for the grand opening to the new addition of the dining area!! I wish I took more photos to share but if you’re still reading: go and see for yourself how nice it is and eet smakelijk!

Prima Verhage het eten smaakt prima en de service is meer dan voldoende. Binnen en buiten voldoende plaats.

I come here for lunch every week with my wheelchair-bound mother and the welcome and service is always friendly and good. Price/quality of the food is excellent. Nicely decorated, great location, also a terrace outside. Definitely recommended.

It's nice that you have also been able to order from Verhage for a number of months. Unfortunately, delivery took a very long time. Delivery was stated to take 20 to 40 minutes, but after one hour I still had not received anything. I tried to call Verhage, but there was no answer. After calling a few times and waiting another half hour, I thought I'd get in the car and drop by. On the way there I saw the delivery man driving towards me. I turned around and after one hour and 40 minutes received my cold fries, cold frikandel and cold salad. It's nice that the salad was cold anyway. Not recommended...

Just a very good snack bar with table service.

In eerste instantie wilden we de bestelling ophalen, maar vandaag kwam het beter uit om het te laten bezorgen. Bij het bestellen konden we op het laatste moment nog wisselen tussen ophalen of bezorgen. Ineens moesten we meer betalen, maar ik dacht dat dat de bezorgkosten waren. Uiteindelijk bleek de rekening ruim €8 hoger te liggen!? Enkel omdat de producten bij bezorgen duurder waren. Daarnaast via Thuisbezorgd vanaf €35 gratis bezorging. Via de eigen website betaal je dus wel €2,50 bezorgkosten. Daarnaast waren ze ook nog een grote beker pindasaus vergeten. Paste waarschijnlijk niet meer in de tas. Jammer, want het eten is over het algemeen wel lekker.

Zijn daar geweest on een ijsje te eten, heerlijk. Alleen bediening zou wel iets vriendelijker mogen

Kwaliteitscafetaria. Veel keus en goed eten. Het is er schoon. Soms wel lang wachten terwijl er maar een paar klanten zijn. Zouden sneller de orders kunnen aannemen. Dat je daarna even moet wachten tot de order klaar is, is minder erg.

Heerlijke spareribs en niet duur

Goede en vriendelijke service en heerlijke patat. Kleindochters vonden hun tosti en muffin ook erg lekker.

Personeel was vriendelijk en beleefd. Bestelde hamburger erg droog alsof het al een paar keer was opgewarmd in de magnetron. Milkshake chocolade de smaak van chocolade was erg matig. Zaak was netjes!

Één dame viel mij op, dat ze aan de tafel kwam vragen of alles smaakte en naar wens was, erg attente dame. Heerlijk gegeten en alles was zeker naar wens! We komen snel weer eens terug 😊

Alle het eten wordt steeds duurder en duurder gemaakt. Bij een twist mag je ook maar 1 smaak kiezen anders moet je €0.50 bij betalen! Wel heel vriendelijk personeel.

Vooral het softijs en milkshakes zijn er erg goed. Voor patat ga ik liever naar een snackbar waar ze zelf de aardappels snijden. Verder heeft Verhage wel een leuk aanbod van div broodjes.

Afhankelijk van wie je helpt, kan je soms een milkshake banaanbei krijgen. Ondanks dat beide smaken slechts vloeibaar suiker zijn, zeker aan te raden.

Goed eten, snel bereid, alleen wel vaak dat een deel van de bestelling bij thuiskomst mist of niet conform specificaties is (zonder sla is heel moeilijk blijkbaar).

Menu's s besteld en de friet lag al 7 min in de bakjes te wachten op het vlees. Terwijl het was om mee te nemen. Oftewel koude friet bij thuiskomst.
