Italian restaurant. Italian cuisine. Italian owners. Welcoming and clean place. Wide variety on the menu. Very friendly and professional staff. Wide variety of desserts, all beautifully made in full view. I tried the tiramisu and I must say I was surprised by its deliciousness. A pleasant evening. Short wait times. As a foodie with a heartfelt Apulian roots, I give it five stars.

The food was absolutely delicious — the sauce for the pasta is homemade and so fresh. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole evening even better. We felt truly taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

The vitello tonnato and the carpaccio was really good. The prices are very guest friendly. Definitely a good spot if you’re around.

The pizza needs revisiting. Too much oil. I honestly didn't eat anything else, but the Dutch people dining there seemed happy with their Italian pasta/pizza.

Last month we had a mini vacation in Amsterdam and had dinner at Villa Borghese. The pizza was delicious, I've never had anything like it in Italy!! And the tiramisu was perfectooo!!!

The food was great both times I was there this week. The service was too slow for me, but I also realize that I'm saying this as an American in Europe.

My wife and I had a nice evening at the Vill Borghese and the food and wine made us feel good on a rainy windy evening. The only problem was the bill was 18 euro too much and we didn't notice until we got back to our hotel. So be cautious and check your bill for mistakes!

Everything was mediocre. The menu listed chicken with potatoes and vegetables. In reality, the potatoes and vegetables were very minimal, see photo. The chicken was okay, but nothing special.

A wonderful discovery! We stayed at the hotel for four days, right across the street from the restaurant. We hadn't booked, but the friendly waiter made us wait about ten minutes. Lasagna for me, and my husband chose the carbonara! A killer 👌 A tiramisu for both of us for dessert... a pure delight! The owner offered us two limoncellos "from home," a little marvel! It's a real pleasure to spend such a wonderful time at the restaurant and to eat with such pleasure. ♥️Thank you very much for this moment♥️

A fantastic Italian restaurant in Amsterdam! Villa Borghese impresses with outstanding quality and very good value for money. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed, and the servers were consistently friendly and attentive, which further enhanced the experience. We particularly recommend the tagliatelle with salmon – an exceptional taste experience that truly delighted us. Fresh, aromatic, and perfectly prepared! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Without a doubt, the most delicious pizza we've had anywhere near here. It feels like you're in Italy. Delicious crust, a good base, and authentic, super-fresh ingredients. The Pizza Borghese is incredibly refined. The Capricciosa is wonderfully spicy. A real addition to the neighborhood. Next time we'll have dessert; we were absolutely stuffed.

Shitty service, mid pizzas. Two pizzas arrived after an hour (ordered on a Tuesday evening) Ordered two extras on my pizza which were completely missing. Chef told me he couldn't do anything for me except give me a discount on my next order that I'll probably never receive. Pizzas were not worth the wait.

The servers were not polite nor attentive at all. The food was ok, but would not come back for it.

The food is great, but ordering is a nightmare. I ordered pizza tonight and received an email saying it would be delivered around 8:00 PM. I called at 8:15 PM and got a hurried, rude young man on the phone, telling me it was very busy and I had to wait. It was almost 8:30 PM now. I'm not being a nuisance, but this is unacceptable.

I had a wonderful italian meal here with some friends. The food was certainly excellent. I had the Calzone which was a pleasant experience. One little issue we had was with some of the staff. They were sometimes a bit slow on serving us. While tables that arrived a lot later than us were already given the complimentary bread to go with the oil, we were still waiting on ours. One my friends accidentally spilled a drink as well, however it took some time for the staff to notice us while we were asking for additional help and/or cloths to clean up the spill. Despite that, the staff was friendly.

Restaurant at the foot of an office tower. Ambience is not special and the service even less so. We sat on the terrace and both the starter and the main course were reasonable. I had high expectations because of the good stories, but not completely fulfilled.

What a cozy Italian restaurant. I haven't been out for such a nice meal in a long time. There is a nice atmosphere and the food is delicious. We will definitely eat there again soon.

We ate there three times and were very impressed each time. The pizzas, pastas, and much more were excellent. Highly recommended.

Very good address. We went for lunch. The truffle ravioli was excellent with real truffle sauce. The prices are rather attractive for the quality. I recommend.

Bizarrely arrogant people. Order a pasta for pickup from them, call them at 5:21 PM. I arrive at their place at 5:46 PM and they immediately say it's not ready yet, you said half an hour. Fine, I'll wait a while, but according to their receipt it was only ordered at 5:31 PM. Then, arrogantly saying no, it won't be ready for another 16 minutes. While at first I didn't even have a problem with her pasta not being ready. But the arrogant tone and particularly unfriendly attitude of the staff made me decide that they don't even have to make the pasta for me anymore and I left. The food is always good, but his attitude is ridiculous.

I had reserved the table via the website offered. We ate pizzas which were excellent with a nice airy crust. Friendly and fast service, nothing to complain about!

During my recent visit to this establishment I experienced exceptional Italian cuisine. Both the starter and main course were presented with the utmost finesse, with the quality and freshness of the ingredients used being unmistakable. The vitello tonnato, a culinary highlight, was undoubtedly among the best I have ever tasted. We ate fungi pizza and four cheese pizza. We felt great during the dinner. The waiter was very kind and he was cheerful. The atmosphere was also nice and the balsamic vinegar was so delicious. Grazie mille :)

Variable quality of pizzas. 1st 2 times ordered pizzas: absolutely delicious (not wood-fired). Few pizzas without meat. Ask to replace meat with another ingredient, which went well the first few times... until I ordered pizzas for 9.99 on a Thursday. I asked to replace the meat with another vegetarian ingredient. I was told that I should "just order from the menu" (then add more options to the menu without pork). Apparently too difficult to replace 1 ingredient due to the crowds. The vegetarian pizzas were delivered almost without cheese, the tomatoes were just raw and very thick edges without anything on them. Not worth the reduced price: tasteless (and had to wait an extra 45 minutes!!!). I thought I had found my favorite pizzeria in Nieuw West, but it turns out not to be that good. Shame. So avoid Thursdays anyway. I'm going to try it one more time another day (with just 1 pizza, otherwise such a shame) Update: ordered pizzas again. Pizzas were lukewarm when picked up and on the spinach pizza... frozen spinach had been used, which had just been thawed, which they also denied. Very dirty. Last time pizza here.

Please avoid this place if you are foreigner, they are only interested with the locals. Very arrogant Management, if the restaurant is busy I guess they don’t care about other customers even there are free tables. Food quality very salty!! may be do it on purpose. Ra ist may be a strong word but from what I have read from other reviews and my experience, foreigners are not welcome. This is my honest opinion.

Pizza and pasta was very good. The pasta carbonara I believe was original, made with eggs and not some sort of sauce. The waiter was a bit rude but the food made it a bit irrelevant

Right from the start we felt like unwelcome guests. The service was unfriendly. The food is average. I can't recommend to anyone. 

Veeeery good food! Pasta with Tartufo was delicious and the Tiramissu was a proper one. Employees are extremely friendly. Food came quickly. Price pretty reasonable for NL. On the top, some of the employees speak Brazilian Portuguese and were playing Brazilian music on the background, which was fun to me :) . Definitely good alternative in this neighborhood, will certainly come back when around.

Recently, a great terrace. First a nice glass of wine, but couldn't resist the temptation. Continue to eat with a choice from the special weekly menu. A very unique bruschetta, a chef's special. Then a delicious pasta with shrimps and a tender ossobuco, kindly served by host Michelle. And a dessert...... Unique and incredibly tasty. Reason enough to come back again soon.

Nice cozy warm atmosphere with the most elegant Italian serving. Penne arabiata as our main dish together with the filetto di polo ala diavolla. And finally, the tiramisu originale, the details in the dessert from grated chocolate to the cranberry sprigs complete the dessert.

Thanks to the team for this fantastic dinner. The tagliatelle and spaghetti were perfect. the relaxed atmosphere, the music is tasteful and the staff are lovely. It's a place to which we wish a lot of success (and it deserves it).

Surprisingly popular Italian restaurant in a quiet location. I came here 2 nights in a row. First night at about 7.30pm, and it was packed that I could only have a bar seat. Had the ribeye on the first night, t bone on the second. Personally, the ribeye was better done. The t bone, though more expensive, came out tougher and more well done than expected. Both were tasty though, and I enjoyed both thoroughly. The sides were ok. Didn't steal the thunder from the main.

One Star because i have to! The service was extremly unfriendly, never in my live i was treated respectless this way just for ordering some take away food. We've entered the Restaurant to order some take away food, the result was bad food and bad mood! We were treated like some unwanted guests. That wasn't just unkind, that was respectless as i've never experienced it.

Wat een heerlijk restaurant is dit toch, iedere keer weer! Alles wat je bestelt is even lekker. Of je het nou kent of niet, het maakt niet uit, het smaakt allemaal heerlijk! Er is een uitermate goede selectie aan wijnen en de gastheren bedienen u fantastisch en met een goede kennis van zaken adviseren zij over het eten en de wijnen. Dit restaurant maakt een diner tot een belevenis, een avontuur naar de authentieke smaak van italië! Met de auto kan het vervelend zijn om een parkeerplaats te vinden. Het openbaar vervoer is misschien een betere optie, buslijn 68 rijdt hier langs de deur.

Als wir das Restaurant betraten roch es stark nach Fisch. Ich wäre am liebsten wieder gegangen, aber die anderen wollten trotzdem was Essen. Die Auswahl ist nicht so groß. Ich bestellte eine Pizza mit Salami und Kochschinken und fragte nach Jalapenos, die sie leider nicht hatten. Dafür sollte ich ein scharfes Öl erhalten, was aber nicht scharf war. Die Pizza selbst war ok, der Rand war wenig belegt und geschmacklos, die Mitte der Pizza war gut. Leider war der Service sehr unaufmerksam. Wir bestellten zwischendurch noch einmal Brot, was leider nie ankam. Auch blieben der benutzte Teller vom Olivenöl oder der leere Brotkorb die ganze Zeit auf dem Tisch stehen, ohne das es abgeräumt wurde. Die Getränke waren auch alle, ohne das nachgefragt wurde ob wir noch etwas möchten. Mit um die 17 Euro war die Pizza für den zu teuer. Fazit: Essen ok, Service mangelhaft. Dafür viel zu teuer.

Just had dinner at this restaurant. Location is 'out of the way' meaning it is in a business area of Amsterdam (not city center), close to 2 hotels. It basically is a destination restaurant, unless you are a hotel guest. Honestly it didn't bother me, as I came expressly (I live near Amsterdam) to have dinner here. Atmosphere is cozy, maybe not for a romantic dinner but nice. One suggestion, I would do away with the huge coffee brand sign which is above the coffee machine. Service is impeccable, nice staff, friendly and competent. Food, the quality of the ingredient is of high standards, no question. Preparation could be a bit better with small adjustments. (hence not the 5 stars). For example, I took Burrata (looks like a mozzarella but the inside is more fluid/liquid) with San Daniele ham. The burrata was cold, and it should be served at room temperature, as to enhance and fully appreciate the milky flavor. I appreciate that the burrata, imported from Italy cannot be daily fresh, hence you have the need to keep it refrigerated, but on the day I would take it out of the fridge in time to have it reach room temperature. Yes it can be risky from a business point of view, since if you don't sell it on the evening you have to part with it (cannot be put back in the fridge), but it would be a worth risk especially if you know the amounts that gets sold per evening you could plan accordingly. Second suggestion, I took the Ossobuco, traditional veal dish from Milan. Meat really tender, good flavors, but it was cold and I mean fridge temperature. Had to send it back, got a new portion and at the end it was not included in the bill. Extra KUDOs since this is something I have never experienced in 25 year I have been living in Amsterdam (and I eat 1-2 a month out at restaurants). Also here appreciating that you prepare the Ossobuco early in the morning (or even the day before, it is still fine) as it takes 2-3 hours to cook the meat. But if prepared early or the day before, as for the burrata take it out of the fridge well in time for it to reach room temperature and then warm it on the stove (most likely was done in the microwave), it doesn't take that long if it is already at room temperature. All in all, we had a lovely night, and would recommend this place, if you want to eat good Italian food, but as said it is a destination place, meaning you go there, eat and then you leave, no room for a stroll in the surrounding area.

If you look for a genuine and excellent italian restaurant, search no further. It may not be in the very center of Amsterdam but it definitely derseves the travel. Once you will taste Michele's truffle pasta you will be in heaven

Service guy is annoying and his way of dealing and taking cups and spoons from the table is disrespectful because we only sat at a table for four people and we are two people. The rest is nice and delicious
