Food was very good we will definitely eat there again

We called ahead and asked for mussels. Despite the promise of mussels, there were none on site 😕 We waited 70 minutes for the average meal.

In a small city with few options, this has a decent local fish for a bit too much, but with the tradeoff that one gets a view of a multi billon euro guided missile frigate.. decent selection of beers on tap as well..

Super delicious food. Really good. Great service. Very friendly. The fish curry is highly recommended. I'd go back anytime.

Price-quality ratio completely out of proportion. The Variation Neptunus very little fish with a piece of salmon from the freezer and the portion of kibbeling was very small. So not recommended.

Delicious fish specialties and perfect service! Reading glasses were even provided! The interior is authentically decorated and contains a lot of history. There was quite a lot of food, including the starter. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Also came by often enough with a (smile) smile. I felt welcome.

Lovely place to laugh and dine with a view over the harbour.

Unfortunately I have to correct my rating. A year ago it's the complete opposite today. Despite reservations, you had to chase the waitresses after 20 minutes (after a dinner menu). This was lovingly thrown onto the table with “what do you want to drink?” There was no drinks menu. We then decided to go somewhere else. I then paid the bill for the drinks at the counter after there was no reaction again. Then there was food somewhere else. This was last year's review: The best mussels I've eaten so far. Super friendly service. Highly recommended. The Dutch fans are coming back. There will be no further visit. Too bad.

One of the best fish restaurants in the Netherlands. Great service and even better the food. The mussels are simply great and the staff is so friendly. Will definitely come back... Update 09/01/2024 Unfortunately I have to withdraw my star rating. How can a restaurant deteriorate so much in a year? I was looking forward to booking a table in Den Helder because I had eaten here several times last year and then that. There was no service, you had to beg to order something, you also had to beg for the menu... Then a look at the menu, fish restaurant? In the past it was overpriced and there was very little choice of fish. Kibbeling for 21 euros? Seriously? Then these small portions. I agree with the other reviews, it's better to go to a fish stall. It's a shame that such a good restaurant is ruined. What is it about? Definitely won't come back again.

Service reasonable, food excellent.

We had dinner here in the evening with 4 people. One of us ordered a glass of Rosé. This was downright sour and "thorough". I returned the glass and to my surprise it was on the bill, €5.25. I was told it had been drunk and they couldn't put it back in the bottle. It was also said, "If everyone does this, we can't start it." We won't be coming back here again!!

The food impresses with fresh ingredients and a harmonious ambience. Due to its location right on the harbor and the slight elevation, the restaurant offers a beautiful view of the ships. The restaurant is extremely clean and the staff is attentive and courteous. The prices of the dishes are above average, but neither the portion size nor the taste experience correspond to this level. We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening and it was only about a third full.

Can only rate all categories with 5⭐️. Were here on the last day of vacation and wanted fish in a maritime atmosphere. The service was attentive, the food was excellent.

Far too expensive food for the small portion and not really tasty. A snack is more worthwhile. We also waited a really long time. That evening we ate for €60 and wanted to pay with a €100 note but the waitress didn't have €40 in change. Really embarrassing Next day update: I have food poisoning

Way too expensive. Waiting times are far too long and portions are far too small. We were served two portions that were actually the size of one portion. €21.50 for Kibbeling, which is an absolute joke on average. The only good thing was the ready-made salad dressing. The snack bar around the corner is more worth it! Unfortunately, on a Saturday evening, this restaurant didn't have enough change to give us €40 back. Apparently a €100 bill is too big for a €60 bill. Update next day: Unfortunately 4/4 people got food poisoning the next day. Maybe you should check the quality of the fish and hygiene in the kitchen again before more people get food poisoning

Thank you for the delicious food and the great hospitality. We were there with our children (quite small). There's another class of service that's available there - perfectly handled. Everyone was super nice and friendly. We had kibbeling - super tasty. Definitely recommended and we would love to come back ;).

Lekker eten met een relaxte sfeer. Zowel vis als vlees gerechten zijn heerlijk.

Sehr gutes Fischrestaurant nahe am Yachthafen. Nette und freundliche Bedienung. Unserem Hund wurde direkt ein Wassernapf bereitgestellt. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Top Laden. Waren 2018 dort und ich habe mich jetzt, 4 Jahre später, an das klasse Essen, die freundliche Bedienung, die grandiose Ausstattung ohne Grund positiv erinnert. Das will was heißen. Würde jederzeit wieder kommen - es war richtig toll und urig. Danke für die schöne Erinnerung. Diese sind so viel mehr wert, als das tägliche Ein und Aus. Macht immer weiter so.

We hadden het afscheid van een collega ( pensioen) met een drankje en een heerlijk verzorgd diner. Fijne bediening en sfeer. Een aanrader.

Bediening is altijd in voor gezelligheid, zeer vriendelijk en attent. De locatie aan de haven van Den Helder maakt dit een zeer unieke belevenis, en dan nog het eten......over heerlijk en vers bereid. Echt een aanrader!

Kwaliteit prijs verhouding is heeeel goed. Lekker en vers. Topkwaliteit.
