Amazing sandwiches and Indo Buns!!

The squid (cumi cumi) was very, very on the pricey side. 300 grams for €30!! Apparently that is the normal price (?!) according to the ladies behind the counter. A mistake??!!

This is my first time trying Indonesian food, and from what I can tell, this was a hell of a choice. Authentic, and served with a smile. I'm not that adventurous with food but I must say, it was damn good and I loved it. Will definitely be back!

Very delicious food with kind and wonderful staff and service

The food was really lovely and it was halal so we were able to try all the options. We got to meet the owner Aunty and she was so friendly and made our outing even special. Al the options are in front so you can choose. The aubergine curry was a little spicy but really tasty and fresh. Can't wait to come visit again.

I have tried many Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam, and this is the very best! Everything on the menu is delicious and made with love. They have something new on the menu: the "Indo Bun"—be sure to try this one with sweet beef! Warung Barokah means "Blessed." I always feel blessed after eating there.

When you're in the Netherlands, it's hard to find rice. Come here and you'll be full and satisfied.

We only tried Bakso, nothing special about it. Also, the younger woman whose stand on the cashier doesn´t greeted us as we came in to the warung. At least it´s a min. std in hospitality, isn´t ?

Delicious Indonesian food with super hospitable staff! The Rames special is definitely our favorite! It is a shame, though, that the space is laid out quite cramped and there aren't more seats.

I ordered Ketoprak €13.99 (€14) & Rudjak Cingur €14.99 (€15) to take away...🫣 When I got home, I was very surprised... it turns out the Rudjak Cingur is just vegetables... nothing more, NOT a single piece of tendon (Kikil), which I really dislike & way too expensive just for vegetables... €14.99 (€15) 🤔 I can't imagine if the situation at the warung is busy... it will get even more chaotic, I think...? 🤨 The kitchen might make a mistake, but that person at the counter was working... she also needs to look closely / check what she gets from the kitchen; that is also her responsibility for her work, before they start packing (bungkus) & not just pack blindly 🤨🙅‍♀️ So, people, Pay Close Attention !!! if you are getting takeout from them... really check first... if necessary, open it right in front of them, see if it is complete...!!! Sorry, my appetite is gone.... Worthless....☹️☹️

The food is fine in itself, but I have often noticed that the food isn't fresh, especially the saotosoep. I can taste that the chicken isn't from the same day. I also think they have become very expensive compared to what you get. There is another Indo place on the same street where you can put together a meal for €6.50.

I've grabbed a sandwich a few times during work already. They are delicious. I can tell from everything that the quality is excellent. There are a lot of Indonesians coming in to eat or get takeout. The products I see on display come from Southeast Asia. I'm definitely going to get a more elaborate dinner there sometime; it can't be bad.

Authentic Indonesian food in a tiny Warung. We both had the Rames Special comprised of your choice of base, fried vermicelli or rice (fried/nasi goreng or white) two meats (beef or chicken cooked in different styles like rendang, soya sauce, or spicy chilli) 2 styles of veggies (chilli aubergines, mixed veg, or coconut spiced green beans) the special comes with a chicken satay stick. Popular place so we shared a table whilst throughout our meal the queue for take outs was ever present. Thanks ladies for the watermelon slices we all shared amongst the diners on a warm summer evening. Visited again on a cold January night for the Bakso. Three different noodles with tofu and a light crunchy biscuit (sorry need to ask Sri the owner next time). Beef balls and chopped leafy green veg. Man oh man after a long overnight journey arriving in a cold cold Amsterdam the dish was a culinary joy. The broth light but complex flavours. The meat balls are fantastic and the different noodles were just what was needed. Lovely! The best Bakso in the world can be found here at Warung Barokah.

I ordered food through Thuisbezorgd, and they called me to tell me I couldn't receive two-thirds of my order and that I should request a refund through Thuisbezorgd. But that's not possible. I want my money back.

On a beautiful party evening, we were still able to order food the day before! For a large group... freshly cooked with lots of love, and you could taste it!! Because this place is a gem... for years!!!

Delicious food, we tried Rames special and Nasi Rawon!

The food is delicious, I like it. But the service needs to be improved. There was a woman wearing glasses and a purple knitted hat who was incredibly rude. The others were very friendly in my opinion. I ordered cendol and waited almost 15 minutes. When I asked if the cendol was already made, she said rudely, "Yes, they told me to wait 30 minutes. If you don't want to wait, you don't have to." Then I replied, "Ma'am, I wasn't told I had to wait," I said. Then she said, "The ingredients aren't even here yet, so I don't know." "Ma'am, be less rude to the customers." They came to buy your wares, not to be rude to you. Note: Not all the waitresses are like that, just this one. The others are very friendly.

I had some indonesian food through the years and this belongs to the absolute top. I really recommend the Vega Rames if you eat vegetarian.

The place looks simple but is always busy, aclear sign it’s popular and well-loved by both Indonesians and locals. I ordered rujak cingur and gado-gado. The rujak cingur tasted really authentic, the peanut sauce was thick, slightly spicy, savory, with just the right hint of sweetness. The mix of vegetables and rice cake was fresh and satisfying. Overall, it’s a spot worth coming back to whenever you’re craving real Indonesian flavors in Amsterdam.

I first discovered Warung Barokah in 2017. I've been a regular ever since. Ever since I tasted their delicious rujak cingur, I've been hooked and can't wait to go to another restaurant for East Javanese cuisine. Warung Barokah is still the best in the Netherlands. My favorite dish, besides rujak cingur, was the mixed tofu. It's a shame this menu has been discontinued. It was delicious, though. The black squid was also delicious. I often order takeout. So, I order by phone and let you know what time you want to pick up. The owner, Mrs. Sri, is also friendly. The service is quite comprehensive. As for dining here, because there are only a few seats, it's difficult to make reservations if there's a crowd. The prices are also affordable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to try East Javanese cuisine or missing authentic East Javanese food.

I ordered rujak cingur, uncommon menu, difficult to find in Holland. If you don't know this food, i suggest to ask first before order 😜. For me the rujak cingur is 👍🏻👍🏻 Unfortunately the place is a bit small 😁 busy

Update: From 5 stars to 3 stars. Instead of white rice, I got a kind of "sambal rice," which was too hard to eat. Throwing away rice is usually a no-go. It looked like quick-cooked rice, Surinamese rice, or undercooked brown rice. Definitely not fragrant pandan/jasmine rice. I asked for sambal goreng beans but was given tumis beans. I couldn't order a certain dish with it, but I could through Thuisbezorgt (I checked the menu there). It's a bit shocking that the rice is actually the worst thing on the menu, and the service isn't as good anymore. The food used to be very good, flavorful, good portions, and good value for money. Maybe it's gotten a bit too busy? (My suggestion: Remove those Indonesian dishes and that terrible, non-Asian—probably quick-cooked—rice from the menu!) For rames (with white rice), it's better to go a bit further away. Traditional Indonesian dishes like Bakso, Rudjak Cinkur, and Rawon still receive 5 stars, and this remains a very good place! The rice gets a 1 and the service a 2. Hence the 3 stars.

Love all the food here. Mrs. Sri the owner was super friendly and kind. All the food served were authentic to the taste. I had nasi rames (mixed rice) and my partner had bakso soup (meatball soup) while my cousin had sate kambing (mutton skewers). All soooo delicious. Cozy authentic Indonesian restaurant. Food are super tasty and you must try their signature dishes - very different from common Indonesian dishes that you normally have from the Dutch rijstafel.

Second Indonesian restaurant I tried here in Amsterdam. I had Nasi Rawon. It was really delicious. The owner even came over for a quick chat. It was freshly made the day before, but still very tasty if you don't eat Indonesian food very often. The place wasn't that big, but it was still worth the drive.

The rolls themselves weren't fresh and fell apart. I tried to warm them up, but that didn't work. I just happened to drive by, but it wasn't a success.

This is a homey small Indonesian eatery in Amsterdam. About 20-30 minutes public transport from Amsterdam CS as well from Sloterdijk . We were lucky (2 persons) that we immediately could order and seat. They serve some street foods (gado-gado, ketoprak, baso or meatballs soup, etc) as well complete meals. We had ketoprak, rujak cingur, baso kuah, and cendol. Ketoprak tasted very much like the version we ate in Jakarta. Rujak cingur was yummy. Baso soup was really good. The portion was generous if we consider the prices. Below the average from other places I ate before. The ladies who served us were very friendly and really make sure that we had everything we needed. Their sambal was great for baso soup. Their toilet is clean and modern . RECOMMENDED.

We were looking to try some authentic Indonesian food, so we decided to try Warung Barokah for the first time. Upon arrival at the restaurant we had to wait 10-15min before we could order. Weirdly the staff helps and serves their own Indonesian acquaintances first with a bigger portion even though many of them arrived after us and ordered the same bakso soup. We didn’t mind much, since we had time. When we got our soups, half way of eating it I found a dead big black fly in the bottom of my bowl! There was no way of finding the fly beforehand since the noodles and beef balls were floating on top. We got disgusted by it and told the waitress about it quietly, not in front of the customers. The lady reacted totally indifferently and disingenuously. She even had the audacity to demand payment. Never in my life have I encountered such bad service and attitude! To the owners, no need to contact me for a compensation as I won’t ever visit your restaurant again after this incident. Please recheck your kitchen hygiene and train your staff properly regarding customer service.

Saoto soup was tasty but the “nasi” may not be called nasi. This is as was also said below, rice with sambal. Indo here but this is really not possible. Too bad!

Good Indonesian food served by two indonesian ladies.

We went to Amsterdam for a week because my wife wanted to try Indonesian food. Then we discovered this restaurant and noticed that they cook authentically, like in Indonesia, with love, and they have simply delicious dishes like beef tongue and rawon. That's why this restaurant is our favorite of all Indonesian restaurants. It's also very affordable and relaxed.

I don't often write a review, but I would like to do so for this restaurant. Just had a delicious Bakso soup and noodles Rames special. Nice and tasty! The restaurant is not large and has two tables. Furthermore, it was nice and busy with people who picked up. Staff are very friendly.
