Westergasterras in Spaarndammer- en Zeeheldenbuurt

Disgraceful. The DJs ruined the whole evening. They were all over the place. Poor music selection. I'm a loyal fan, but Saturday, December 6th, is incredibly bad. Never again, please.

Great spot at the Westergasterrein, with nice seating by the water. Friendly staff, fast service, and plenty of staff on the patio. Lunch was delicious; the sandwiches could have been a bit bigger.

Superbly located by the water, a great selection of non-alcoholic beers and delicious food that unfortunately doesn't quite fill you up.

Was at Westergasterras for a private event. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!!

Boring, empty and overpriced. Those deims all come from the south and are basic. Chaps simply too expensive. You are not allowed to bring anything in, no deodorant or a random chocolate bar. DJ just spins a few buttons before the show.

They treated me super bad. The security guard verbaly arrased me (calling me literally “beautiful” and “darling”) and they kicked a friend of mine for rolling a cigarret without smoking it inside. They did not provide me a complaint letter, which is mandatory by law.

Very disappointing the food. Grilled vegetable salad, for example: Full plate of lettuce mix without dressing. 2 peels of zucchini 1 peel eggplant And the burrata (that was tasty) Pomegranate ? nuts, 2 pieces and some feta. Chief, serious? Very poor salad with no taste, I will never try the rest of the menu again. Nice terrace by the water.

We had a wonderful meal again at the Westergasterras. The terrace is in a beautiful location and very nice both inside and outside (even if, like us, you arrive in the pouring rain). You choose the food in different portions that you can share together. It is difficult to choose, because we like a lot. The takoyaki (Japanese squid oil balls) is one of our top favorites, just like the shrimp tacos and the tuna tataki! There are plenty of vegetarian options, as well as a fairly extensive drinks and snack menu. The service is also super nice. A nice place to sit and relax and eat/drink!

The terrace at the water's edge is great, the welcome is warm in a beautiful atmosphere. The cuisine is unpretentious, perfect for a quiet evening.

I had high expectations of the Westergasterras, but my visit was a complete disappointment. The staff was unreasonable and downright rude. It seemed like they would rather get rid of us than get rich. Truly a missed opportunity for a place in such a beautiful location. I will certainly not come back here again and advise others to go somewhere else where customers are valued.

Euro 2024 25/06 - Organised by Westerunie at Westergasterras. A very bad experience, extremely crowded. Profit was the main priority. There are many other better places at Westerpark to watch the game, entrance free & open to all people around it; where you won't feel cramped or encounter unjust and aggressive behavior. See Bar Kantoor, Troost, Radio Radio, and many more. A security guard bullied our friend, abusing his power and instructing everyone else from the security team not to let her in despite she had purchased a ticket. She was pushed by him multiple times while standing in front of the 'event gates' trying to finish a protein shake while watching the game (as instructed at the entrance, as it was not allowed to be in her bag), for which she protested. His words 'I am head of security and I do what I want, you will not get in because I say so and did not obey what I told you ' As confirmed by the police, this space outside is public, and our friend will be taking further actions against the organization.

Always a cozy and atmospheric place. Recommended!

I’m not someone who would generally give a bad review but a recent event at this spot made me have write this review. Absolutely disappointed and disheartened by the arrangement of this spot for euro cup. The bouncer/ guard at the entry point physically pushed my female friend out of the entry point ONLY because she had a milkshake/ smoothie in her bag. She agreed to finish it before entering and while she did so, the bouncer forcefully pushed her out of the area and denied her entry, even though she bought tickets for the match. Absolutely disappointed by this behavior as this spot usually tops my list of places for summer . Seems like the guy called himself the head of security. Hope we have more sane guards, denying entry for all the right reasons and not physically pushing women around.

Lukewarm beer, aggressive security, untrained bar staff, €4 for a 200ml beer, miserable long queues everywhere. What a mediocre organization

The food is good, concept cuisine, simple menu, shared dining, partly chip shop. Was very busy because of the concert in the gas holder, sunny outside weather and therefore many tables. As a result, some minor flaws worked their way out of the picture.

Nice place to have a drink with friends and a delicious lunch (we really liked the Korean fried chicken sandwich). Please note: you are not allowed to smoke anywhere on the terrace.

It was an okay experience until I was dumb enough to order the takoyaki. 12,50 for 3 is more than 4 times the price you pay in Japan but that wasn’t the worst offender. These were dense dough balls with some minced octopus paste mixed in. A Japanese person would commit seppuku for having somebody eat this. Other than this disappointment it’s okay priced for Amsterdam in terms of drinks. Bit of a boring selection but these people don’t cater to that. They are in a park and have a terrace everything else is just a bonus.

Good and affordable food, but it is difficult to get from the inside to the outside with a wheelchair.

Great spot, ok food, moderate service. One of the better places to be at good weather, but understaffed for the capacity on those days.

Wonderfully quiet spot in an otherwise busy area

Cevice here is not a cevice. Fish comes with a piece of string as surprise. Fries cold and all else not palatable! Food is bland,overpriced and the portions are announced as small to be shared but it leaves you with nanograms ! How do you manage to screw up a burrata with rancid herb oil? And one old cracker -to share?! The staff is superfriendly-thank you! We come back for drinks and the terrace but your dining concept deserves slaps!

Nice terrace to take some drinks. The QR menu is not working. No menu in the terrace, is better order inside and bring your own drinks. A lot people but nobody serve you.

Went for a snack and a drink after Unseen. Poor little cappuccino machines, not worth the money. Food is fine, not exceptional. Location is nice. Ordering via an app, impersonal in my opinion.

The order is very impersonal via your smartphone, even with an acquaintance. He never received the correct meal order.

Nou we waren vroeg 11.40 uur ze waren nog niet open. Dus zijn we een rondje gaan wandelen. Kaartjes om 13.00 uur voor een activiteit in de buurt. Dus om 12.00 uur terug als eerste die binnen kwamen. Zoals hier gewenst is kan je alleen bestellen via je telefoon . Wat natuurlijk al belachelijk is. Een ouder koppel achter ons had hiervoor niet eens de juiste telefoon. Maar goed onze drankjes en eten waren om 12.01 besteld. De zaak liep vol en iedereen kreeg zijn drankjes behalve wij. Tot twee toe gevraagd aan personeel kunnen we iig de drankjes krijgen. Die kregen we na 40 minuten let wel 2 koffie zwart. 40 minuten. Ook aan personeel 3 keer gevraagd of het wel goed ging met onze broodjes. Rest van restaurant kreeg allemaal zijn eten terwijl ze net binnen waren. Na een treinreis van 2.5 uur toch wel trek. Het was inmiddels 12.47 uur en ze kwamen met de mededeling dat er met onze bestelling wat was misgegaan. Ze gingen het nu maken. We hebben ons geld terug gevraagd en zijn moeten vertrekken zonder eten naar onze activiteit die over 10 minuten zou beginnen. Nou zo begon ons dagje uit . Niet iets waar we gaan terug komen. Als je personeel na 20 minuten al de eerste hint geeft .gaat dit goed????

The service was great despite the heat. The chef should be ashamed to serve this. We ordered rendang with fries, the meat was hard and had nothing to do with rendang or stew. The manager took it off the bill.

Food was good. We had mixed appetizers. There are no pitcher options for beers on the menu so just ask and they give you. Toilets are bad 😞.try to avoid.

Wat een fijne locatie is dit! Gelegen bij één van de gashouders van de wester gasfabriek én vlak langs een fietsroute. Perfecte tussenstop voor de lunch. De burger is echt van ongekend hoog niveau en de quinoa salade (vega) was erg goed. Personeel kan wellicht iets beter opletten en de keuken iets sneller werken (het was niet druk, maar toch 45 min zitten wachten op de lunch). Maar al met al een aanrader!

While the location is nice, they serve tiny plates of food for high prices. I would have been happy if the food was great, but it really wasnt.

Saved us from the thunder storm, were very helpful and compassionate with our absolutely terrified dog as the storm raged on even though they were quite busy.

Nog net een mooi plekje op een drukke zaterdag kunnen bemachtigen. Wat een toplocatie! Met veel groen en water als uitzicht. We hadden een supervriendelijk meiske dat ons bediende. Daarom 5 sterren! Kom zeker terug!

Delightful spot in the park next to the Westergas venue, with indoor and outdoor seating, great drinks selection and menu. Service timing could be improved, as you do wait a while for your orders. But the staff and waiters are amazing, and the venue setting is lovely so you almost don’t mind 😉

Amazing place ✨️ We came here to celebrate our birthday with a big group and not only were they extremely accommodating, but also really made sure we would have a good night. Great service and very beautiful venue

Nice location to chill for a drink, when we were there, a private party was booked so we had to leave very early in the evening. I did find it very weird that while ordering drink with the QR code, you are asked to leave a tip immediately. I mean being asked to leave a tip after literally 5 minutes i l took a seat left me wondering what exactly was I supposed to tip, the comfort of the chair? I'd suggest the bar to Maybe ask for tips at the end of the service, since normally you leave a tip after a very good service. Just my 2 cents.

Nice spot to enjoy a beer within westerpark, which is a must go on the weekend. Prices are on average. The place is very beautiful also inside, with very high ceiling which makes it eccentric place.

Selfservice ordering via QR code. The place was not very busy but service was very slow. Sandwiches were also very dissapointing. One bit of bread with a sprinkle of salad and very overcooked turkey in our case. No dressing or Mayo. I can't imagine returning.

Ik sluit mij volledig aan bij de review van Bouchra. De lokatie is super. Het terras is ruim en het gedeelte met de strandstoelen is hip. Bestellen per app is efficiënt (handig in deze tijd van personeelstekorten), maar er komt niemand even gedag zeggen als je gaat zitten om vervolgens even uit te leggen hoe het bestelproces werkt. Dat voelt niet erg gastvrij. Wij hebben hier geluncht: thai curry broodje en bakkeljauw broodje. Allebei vielen behoorlijk tegen. Qua smaak en hoeveelheid. Wij vinden het prima om Amsterdamse prijzen te betalen, maar we verwachten dan wel wat meer van de ervaring en het voedsel.

Ik vind de Summerbreeze partys helemaal geweldig, wat een top locatie! (elke donderdagavond)

Mooie locatie maar geen personeel om te bestellen, moet via de app. Het wordt snel gebracht en ook via de app afreken. Vraag of je tip wil geven begrijp ik niet .... waarom want er is geen personeel. Gezellig is minder omdat er geen personeel is en sissi besteld voor vriendin die het niet luste want het is allemaal suikervrij!

Nice spot for having some drinks after work or with a group of friends. Very easy to order and the drinks were quite good. Snacks were also good. The only “but” was that it took them quite long to bring the drinks, we ordered 3 rounds and in all cases we had to wait more than 20 minutes.

Prachtige plek. Heerlijke eten en drinken. Aardige bediening. Gezellige sfeer. Maar bestellen moet met een suffe App. En die werkt slecht, zelfs op de nieuwste iPhone. Terwijl personeel binnen wacht, probeer je tevergeefs een tweede rondje te bestellen. Alles is hier top, behalve de App. Die is een flop.

Jaar geleden geweest - goede ervaring. Eten was lekker, sfeer goed, Gisteren geweest - drama. * je kan alleen nog maar online bestellen en betalen. Dit duurde een eeuwigheid - want lastig systeem als je dit niet gewend bent. daarna zelfde proces met eten bestellen doorlopen. (er zou bij ons meer drank besteld zijn als het gewoon, snel via een serveerster was verlopen. dus je loopt omzet mis!) Er is dus niet echt contact met het personeel, behalve dat ze eten komen brengen. Dus voor iedere andere vraag moet je opstaan en naar binnen om iemand te spreken - Erg klant onvriendelijk. * Absurd dat er niet contant kan worden afgerekend. Is nog steeds een wettig betaalmiddel. * Waarom niet een online systeem voor de generatie die hier goed mee uit de voeten kan, en daarnaast gewoon persoonlijke service aanbieden voor (oudere mensen als mijn moeder) die NIET in bezit zijn van androids en deze daarmee niet kunnen bestellen/betalen etc??? dat heet klantenservice. * en dan ook nog 3 pannenkoeken serveren welke niet gaar waren! * Personeel was niet echt vriendelijk - daar kwam pas beetje verandering in nadat ik op zijn Amsterdams had gezegd wat voor ***tent dit was. Nee - voor mij dus niet meer.
