Independent Specialty Coffee in a Sunny Place A trip to the historic Zonneplein is always worth a detour, and you can reward yourself for the effort. First of all, excellent coffee—especially if you treat yourself to the filter option, with a choice from a wide range of specialty beans. Good times. Small selection of truly homemade baked goods. The tosti is really awesome. Don’t miss it. No need to take your coffee to go (though of course you can). Plenty of room to sit, alone or with a group. Even outside, you’re protected from the rain. Great self-selected music. Keep at it, guys! As always everyone gets five stars!

A very nice and charming shop with delicious coffee and pastries. The staff, however, are incredibly indifferent, most of them even grumpy. We're never greeted upon arrival or while standing at the counter. If it were very busy, I'd understand, but this is just a shame. A younger woman with a brown ponytail is always very friendly.

The best gentrified coffee in Amsterdam Noord, with a surcharge on mistreated calf milk, and therefore free soy and oat milk. On cold days, they also have delicious vegan chocolate milk!! Delicious apple pie, too, and lovely ❤️ service. And always sunny, of course!!☀️☀️☀️☀️

In the middle of this neighbourhood, around a nice piazza, this great coffee bar. Coffees are great! Highly recommended.

Aside from the best coffee in Noord, they have the kindest, coolest and most helpful staff. I also get a coffee bean subscription from white label and their customer service is amazing. While not my original favourite coffee place in Amsterdam, their amazing staff have made it my favourite - I always feel well taken care of.

I come here occasionally, but honestly, I'm always disappointed that so many products are sold out. I understand that purchasing, selling, and limiting waste need to be carefully considered, but as a customer, it's a shame to constantly hear that something is no longer available. That doesn't exactly encourage me to come back. The coffee itself is fine, but not exceptional. I do deserve compliments for the milk: the foam on my cappuccino was perfect, there was nothing wrong with it. However, the beans just aren't quite to my taste. The terrace on the square looks a bit gloomy and lacks a cozy atmosphere, and inside, while nice for a one-off visit, it's not a place I'd likely visit again.

I've given a five-star review before, but I'm going back on that. It's starting to look more and more like a daycare center, with children running and screaming and parents/youngsters thinking it's their private garden or McDonald's playground. Absolutely no respect for other visitors, and nothing is said about it.

Coffee and service are good, but I don’t understand why a coffee place where so many people work doesn’t offer WiFi. That’s a bit inconvenient.

The food they have is of good quality, but the choice is very, very limited to tostis, a croissant and a few alike small snacks. Likewise the coffee is tasty and they offer a lot of vegan alternatives, but again, the assortment is very limited. Would recommend for a quick bite or just a coffee, but not a full lunch. The atmosphere is ok, although it was missing some of the plant decorations they had last time that gave it a friendly and cosy atmosphere, without it, it looks a bit more run down tbh, although that is not necessarily the case, it's just a bit too minimalistic to my (and others in our group) taste.

Best coffee in North! Great family- and dog- friendly spot. Adorable toddlers most of the time. Love that they make most of their own baked goods. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing 8 / 10 times, but it’s almost better that there are times that they aren’t great - realistic imperfection instead of some insta reality.

Everything was awesome. I'm a filter coffee lover and the Bali anaerobic natural was a banger. Food was brilliant, delicious cakes/pastries and homemade granola. And very friendly baristas.

Very tasty coffee! It is better to pick up. Sitting quietly is no longer an option, nowadays it is like a nursery with children playing and especially screaming very loudly and toys lying everywhere. Despite that, the coffee is delicious and the staff friendly and patient.

Frequently going there, cute little cafe with all the latest options. If you’re going there to work though, beware: there is no wifi available and mobile signal is quite weak, so save your stuff in offline mode first.

One of the best coffee places Ive been. Coffee is a ten, relaxed atmosphere for working and the staff is amazing. They even gave me free cappuccino and the other day they gave me free banana bread. Def recommend. Free parking as well

Nice place but they pay attention to heating costs so leave your coat on. Cold nose despite the hot coffee. Which is tasty and so are the sandwiches! Raise that thermostat and you'll have a wonderful time.

Delicious coffee in a nice relaxed tent. If it weren't for the fact that you sometimes think you find yourself in an open-plan office. I saw 5 tables for 4 people occupied by 1 person with their laptop, while a lady was also making a business telephone call. I'd rather have children playing. And maybe enough laptop-free tables too!

It's an alright spot for coffee. The taste is a bit too bitter for me, in the context of ordering a cappuccino, Honestly tastes more like an espresso. The people working there also aren't particularly warm. Do have to say the place itself looks very nice and cozy. Hope they improve the coffee quality.

WL Noord is a great cafe, nice coffee and and a small but tasty food assortiment (croissants, Banana bread and 2 or 3 kind of tosti's). The atmosphere is great, and the staff are super friendly. A very welcoming and cozy place!

Overall a really cool place to have in this part of Amsterdam. Coffee is pretty good, as are the pastries and cookies. Also quite affordable. I only marked down a point for atmosphere because even though it’s nice and cosy in there, it’s pretty popular on a weekend with a lot of children and dogs which can make it a bit noisy.

Unfortunately, this coffee shop has been taken over by the influx of yummy mummies + daddies on cargo bikes and their offspring, who are increasingly coming to live here. Looks like a daycare center, with so many (screaming) toddlers. The tea and cakes are fine, but sitting quietly is no longer possible.

The staff are extremely rude and they are not shy to show it. The cafe is in such a peaceful square, but somehow the waiters bring their negativity in.

I find the coffee very sour. In addition, I think the items and surroundings are very minimal, and could use a makeover. Kimchi sandwich was very tasty and croissants were nice and fresh.

Oh, but this is nice coffee! I get a perfect macchiato or cortado every time — from a choice of beans, and an amount of foam to my liking. Delicious! There is always something tasty to eat. This is a cozy, relaxed place, indoors or outdoors. The sleepy Zonneplein has been well woken up. Striking: you get a doppio espresso as standard.

The street is currently open, but normally not. The coffee here is delicious and I enjoyed their brownie and carrot cake (bread...what is it?) Furthermore, it is a lovely quiet place to enjoy yourself. Order inside, but it will be brought to your table....

Best cappuccino I've ever had in my life. Food is just ok.

Let's start positively. The atmosphere is nice, the place is well decorated. However, ministry was only concerned with itself. Seemed uninterested/motivated. While there were only 3 people working inside, you still required your customers to come to the bar. I just think it's lazy. Toasti with kimchi was fine. Sauce was good, bread could have been sourdough from a traditional baker (e.g. Comets) for the price (7.50). There could also have been a little more kimchi on it. Chocolate cookie was tasty.

As far as coffee goes, this place offers a bit of specialty. They have a few bean variations to choose from and they offer some to take home as well, from their own roastery. There’s no food menu, just a few pastries. The place is very down to earth, dog and child friendly. It’s a good place to work from, despite not having a wifi.

I have enjoyed coming here in recent years, usually for a cappuccino and a toasted pom. The location on Zonneplein is great. However, I can hardly keep up with the price increases in a few years. The last one, as of January 1, 2024, was itself 17%! I now have to pay € 11.50 for that cappuccino and sandwich! There would be a case in the center that would make people salivate. You have to order and pay for this yourself at the bar. It's a shame that this business has priced itself out of the market and is therefore no longer connected to its Tuindorp Oostzaan neighborhood, except for well-to-do recent import residents. Agree with another reviewer: it shows more respect (from the manager!) if some staff members at least make an attempt to address a customer in Dutch!

Very nice and friendly atmosphere, quite comfortable place to enjoy your day or work from here. All in all, I like this place a lot. The only thing is that I find coffee here quite bitter. Other than that, highly recommend. It is also one of the rare places in the area where you can sit and enjoy your coffee in a nice setup.
