Service was a bid slow and 2 of the 3 portions of fries were (too) cold.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty drinks.

Food was lukewarm and hamburger cold, although I did receive a discount.

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. The restaurant is located in the preserved church. The Wispe beers are the main focus. When you inquire about the rotating draft beers, you'll first receive a sample (if you're not familiar with them) so you can try which one you like.

Beautiful location! Friendly people. You get a warm welcome. Had a beer in the afternoon and then popped into the shop. We went back in the evening for dinner. And of course, tasted some more beers. Highly recommended!

Delicious beers with bitterballen 🍻

We went for a bite to eat with friends on Sunday. We booked a table online. Unfortunately, we were given a table by the door, which was incredibly drafty and cold, not a comfortable place to sit. It took a long time for our drinks to be taken and even longer for them to arrive. White wine glasses were small and underfilled, and all that for €6.50 a glass. The ribeye was full of bone, the schnitzels were fried, and the hamburger bun came straight from the supermarket, and for €23, nothing like a hamburger bun—just a soggy, long-lasting roll. Really disappointing. We won't be back anytime soon. Nice place in the church, but not for a bite to eat. The chef was definitely on vacation.

Our wedding venue is coming soon: a lovely and atmospheric location in a former church by the harbor. Excellent service, delicious food, and a lovely setting. Both indoors in winter and outdoors on the terrace in spring and summer. Even after our wedding, it's still a top-notch venue!

A good use of a church. Tasty beer and burger was good - fries maybe a little underdone. Food came in good time and prices were reasonable for the area.

Black Angus meatballs are very poor factory-made meatballs made with very finely ground "meat" and a bit of everything. There's absolutely no homemade Black Angus meatball on the menu. Absolutely not recommended.

House beer with a great selection. The welcome and service were truly great. My 3 and 6 year old children were in heaven. Even the server took the time with us, especially with the children. And the place is definitely worth a stop, even just for a really good beer.

De broers zijn duidelijk al enige tijd aan het bezuinigen. Misschien meer oog en aandacht voor Deux? Geen idee, maar het bier is lauw/koel, bier moet op de temperatuur van het alcoholpercentage, niet 10 graden. Het eten wordt elke keer kariger en slechter van kwaliteit. Een zalm voor €25,- is niet meer dan een kleine moot van ongeveer 1,5cm breed, met verlepte asperges en wat halve krieltjes. De patat is tegenwoordig opgewarmd en niet zoals ze hier vroeger serveerden, krokante verse patat. Een kindermenu kibbeling is een berg van diezelfde patat met een paar stukjes. Voorheen was alles hier kwalitatief vele malen beter en ook verser, maar vooral meer. De prijzen zijn gestegen, de kwaliteteit/kwantiteit gedaald. Maar vooral ernstig is het niet koude bier dat vaak doodgeslagen je tafel bereikt en vaak net niet volle glazen. Wederom diezelfde bezuinigen. Als vaste klanten en groot fan van het eerste uur zijn wij nu meermaals echt diep teleurgesteld, wij gaan hier niet meer eten en adviseren mensen toch echt uit het wijken naar plekken die nog oog hebben voor echte horeca.

Stopped by to sample some local beers. Ordered a tasting platter with Weizen, IPA, and NZiPA. Unfortunately, not all the options were available because I actually wanted them. My partner opted for a mojito, and we had some snacks. The beers were okay for me, nothing special. I liked the IPA the best, and the snacks were okay. The cocktail, however, was a joke; it was served in a glass without sugar and with crushed mint. Instead, it had a withered sprig of mint. We had to return it to the bar. When it came back, the taste was slightly better, but for €10.50, it was absolutely unacceptable. We ended up getting it for free. If you're going to put cocktails on your menu, make sure your staff can make them. The location is a plus. The interior looks cozy, but it smelled a bit fishy on this Sunday.

Beautiful place, unique with the brewing kettles. Great atmosphere, very friendly, and great service. Some adjustments for my wheelchair-bound mother were no problem, and the daily special, the diamond hare, was incredibly delicious!👌🏻 We'll definitely be back!

A beautiful restaurant in an old church. The beer is extremely tasty, albeit a bit small at 0.25/0.4, but that also encourages you to try the menu. The food is delicious, and the value is definitely right. The staff is also extremely polite and extremely helpful, even opening the shop for us for a short time. Highly recommended!

The location is beautiful, where do you sit with a view of the brewing kettles? The terrace is also particularly beautiful. The beer tasting is a fun way to get to know the local brews and of course: tastes differ. The snack platter was excellent. Due to a broken oven, not all dishes were available. The quality is what you would expect from a cafe, good enough, but could certainly be more creative. Still a very nice experience, an asset to Weesp.

Friendly staff, wide range of beer, nice location.

Had lunch here this afternoon, the terrace is nice with a beautiful view of the old center of Weesp. Service very friendly and helpful. We had the pulled chicken and panini. Nice salad with fresh lettuce and good dressing. Prices are high, but that's just the way it is. Better to enjoy what you pay for, and that is very possible at Wispe. After a previous less good experience in the evening, Wispe scored points with me. Who knows, I might come back in the evening again, for a second chance...

gazpacho soup was disgusting. very fatty, sour, unpleasant. When we made a complaint the waitress just answered ‘it is what it is’. I had to argue with the manager but she refused to exclude the soup from the bill, luckily the owner heard the conversation and agreed to do so. Beer was good although.

Grateful for a great party today behind the quiet curtain in the restaurant. Thanks to you we were able to give our family member a wonderful birthday! Super friendly service who knew exactly who had and who had not yet had pastries! We couldn't have done it like this without you. So once again our big thanks on behalf of the Heuft/Sardaro family💖

Wonderful location and nice beers in the center of the town!

Ah, too bad... it has (had?) potential, but alas? I try again and again, but it doesn't get any better. The schnitzel is deep fried, with a warmed mushroom sauce, with fairly raw (there is a difference between raw and 'bite' guys!) broccoli and carrots. Voila: €23 The burger seemed okay, except that it had bacon on it to give it some flavor. The cardboard bun didn't make it any better. Nada garnish. Coarse and not properly cooked fries in both cases (frying twice might be an idea?) Service, nice try, but hey: what can you do for customer loyalty? It's nice that the cleaning in the room started at 7:45 PM with sweeping and mopping while we were still eating. What do they want with this tent? Beer garden? Restaurant? Pub? The many artificial flowers and the strange layout do not complete it. Too much money for bad food and service. Great terrace and a beer for the summer: but that's it. Please, just have snacks and flamkuchen or something: another beer garden, fine. But no more than that!

Have a drink in the evening, easily accessible

Once and never again. Received a gift for you for restaurants. Made a reservation and showed it upon arrival and she still refused. Upon payment. Yes, sorry, but we don't do giftforyou anymore. Nothing to do if it says on their website that you are participating and I can make a reservation, I don't pay a cent. I just walked away. Don't talk to those people. Certainly not because we had to wait almost 1/5 hour for 4 cold croquettes, a total of almost 2 hours.

Beautiful and special location. Fairly busy on Saturday. But after waiting 40 minutes I ran out of patience, so I walked away. The ordered beers and nachos will remain untasted, but in my mind they tasted good...

Beautiful location, nice beers and friendly staff, but a few minus points for details: it's a craft beer place, but all beers were served in the same glass (vaasje), which don't do the beers just. Special beers belong in special glasses. I was with a friend, we both ordered cheese fondue. Which is a sharing dish (part of the reason ppl order it), but it was served as two singles. Taste was good, but not enough cheese to eat the accompanying bread/veggies, and when we asked for a little more cheese to finish our plates, "it was possibly for an extra 7.50€". If you charge 20€ for cheese fondue you should do it right, and if you value happy customers (who drank almost the whole beer menu), you shouldn't be fussy for another scoop of cheese. We also took the truffle supplement, but didn't taste any of it. Overall an OK experience, but is felt like they're trying to save money but at the cost of the customer experience.

They canceled our reservation just a couple hours before it started even though it was booked weeks in advance. They didn't seem to care much about it on the phone and it's now impossible to get another booking elsewhere at this hour on a special night. I get that mistakes happen but you could at least pretend to care.

Is this fish soup? Fish stock with 6 shrimps in it. I expected something different. The wine in this attractive brewery is excellent!

Wonderful Location, quick and good service - staff was real helpful and let us buy a few bottles in the store, although that had officially closed earlier. Broad range of beers, I recommend the IPA. If you are around, come in, if only for a beer.

A great place for something to drink! Nice tent and many beers. Fine! However, you can also skip the food. The sirloin steak is under-rip. Stewing okay, but medium rare is impossible. Requested feedback on whether the food tasted is not responded to. Literally nothing is answered and nothing is done with it. This is the first time in 40 years that I don't tip. If the reason for not giving a tip is stated when paying, I will again not respond and nothing will be done. Beautiful tent, but unfortunately far below the level of any expertise, experience and hospitality. Shame. Once never again.

The terrace is open on a still beautiful sunny Saturday... drinks are served quickly, but that's about it! We had ordered lunch, after almost an hour we still had nothing... in the end we left without enjoying lunch. Unfortunately, because the location is nice...

Met 4 volwassenen en 2 kinderen gereserveerd om 13.00 uur Keuze besteld om 13.30 uur Geserveerd om 14.15 uur. Hoogste waardering voor de twee kids die het wachten accepteerden. Kwaliteit van de burgers was niet van het niveau dat ik had verwacht. Alles bij elkaar een teleurstellende verjaardags ervaring.

De locatie blijft natuurlijk top, koperen brouwketels in deze kerk, echt schitterend. Bovendien heerlijke bieren en ook de hamburgers zijn geweldig! Deze lijken zelfs nog beter geworden!

Not only can you sit comfortably at Wispe, but you can also enjoy the beers that are brewed with great pleasure by enthusiastic beer brewers. For example, the Hartelust, brewed from locally picked hops, is highly recommended.

Faith and beer? The first beers were brewed by monks!! This church, rededicated to the beer god, redeemed me... incredible location! I personally love the blonde. My recommendation!

What a nice surprise! This restaurant located within the walls of an old church offers a unique setting. I particularly enjoyed my break on the terrace. The coffee and chocolate dessert were delicious, a great way to recharge after my bike ride. The service was fast and the staff were smiling. I highly recommend.

Not sure how the locals reacted when they turned the old church into a brewery... but the results are fantastic! Wide selection of tasty (and some award-winning) beers, as well as there own gin and other spirits for tasty cocktails for non-beer lovers. Food wise there's a selection of burgers, salads, and small bites- all delicious. Everyone serving there was super friendly and happy to help in terms of recommending drinks and food. I recommend heading inside even if you're sitting outside to check out the amazing interior as they've transformed the church, they also have some cases with exhibits about the history of beer in Weesp, and a small shop where you can buy some beer to take home (as well as glasses and t shirts if you fancy) with 10% off when you've drank/eaten there with your reciept. Would definitely visit again if we ever come back to Weesp.

Nice music, especially that bamboleo, I can't get enough of it

My wife recently gave me two bottles of Wispe Tripel. Pleasantly surprised by the taste, we decided to drive to Weesp to get more at the Wispe shop. The website said that the store was open until 5:00 PM, so we decided to first have a drink with a snack in the restaurant and have a few more drinks. In between I walked to the store to buy some drinks (Triple, Gin and Jenever), but no one was there. Through the inner door to the restaurant I walked to the bar to ask if someone could help me. The lady behind the counter said firmly, "No, the store closes at 5." When I said it was only 4:40 PM, I was told that the store employee had already gone home, that they were very busy and could not help me. I told my wife that I found the response rather rude and didn't feel like having a drink there anymore. When paying, I once again told another lady behind the bar that I knew exactly what I wanted and could pay quickly, but she also said it was not possible. I understand that things are sometimes not possible, but don't put on the website that you are open. The way it was presented could also have been a bit friendlier. It's the tone that makes the music. The taste of Wispe Tripel is excellent, but unfortunately the customer service in the restaurant left much to be desired.

Cool location in a former church. Friendly staff, although there was only 1 to serve the entire terrace. Ordering via QR code on your table is convenient. Reasonable menu for lunch or snacks. You can also have dinner there.

Nice brewery, the tour is highly recommended. Delicious beer, and the formula is fun. You order a number of beers that are presented to you on a platter so that you can taste and compare them.

My daughter snd I stopped in here for a break from the rain and enjoyed a flight of three beers brewed on site, a coffee, and a small order of fries. Courteous service; our waiter helped me choose the beers and all were to my liking. Lovely atmosphere in this beautiful former church.

Many special beers, highly recommended if you like this. Food was fine.

In the center of Weesp it is one of the few places where you can drink and eat with your children without the designation of Cafe or Restaurant.

Just a terribly long wait for food. The waitress advised that it was busy (however the outside was half empty and the inside completely empty) and it was a half hour wait. It was actually 70 minutes after ordering before our food arrived. We had reserved a table at 6.30 and ate at 8.10. Advice to the manager: if you only have one chef for a place of this size - for whatever reason, I have owned a hotel and am well aware that staff don’t always turn up - restrict bookings and decline walk ins. Then you may retain your reputation and repeat customers. Giving customers such poor service secures neither and we shall not be back. We felt sorry for the waiting staff, of whom there were plenty, having to deal with all the complaints. Pity, as the food, when it eventually arrived, was good. Advice to customers - avoid dining, go for drinks only. And only if you are ready for a long wait.

Food was delicious, but € 19.00 for a hamburger was a bit pricey in my opinion.

What a disappointment!! Very good reviews on Google, but I really don't understand that after tonight. We had made a reservation and were greeted 'welcome' with the message that 50% of the menu could not be ordered. Received lukewarm beer, had to wait an hour for a salad. Had to ask for the forgotten bread that should come with the salad, but it was no longer there... the two of us ended up with a white sandwich in four strips in a mini bowl, no butter/oil... You may have you have a bad day and things have run out, but act on it, offer an alternative, think of your customer! We as customers have to pay the full price and a salad here is quite expensive, which is not okay. With coffee after the salad someone comes and asks which table we were at and walks away, not asking what we want. Finally someone after we really had to shout, repeat our order 3 times, ask for the bill and wait again, then after fifteen minutes we pay ourselves. Luckily I was in nice company and we had a laugh about it, but we won't be back. A shame, because what a beautiful location!!

Went there for a drink, lots of choice. Because I'm not really a drinker, I tried it and it was very tasty. Beautiful property.

Had lunch for the first time in this converted church in Weesp containing the Wispe Brewery. Nice menu with various different dishes. Sufficient beer choices and good wines. The meals ordered (Basic Burger and Carpaccio) were very good and recommended. Nice smooth operation. The high ceilings create a somewhat 'hall-like' atmosphere, but the decor was well chosen. Tables of various sizes and heights. Given the time of day, we were not spoiled by the many home-brewed beer choices. An absolute must if you visit Weesp.

I forgot to mention about the nice tour through the brewery. Great host.

Delicious beer and a fantastic location

The atmosphere is great, and this is definitely a nice place to have a nice beer! We were less pleased with the food. Quite expensive for what you get. The 'smoked beet' had no smoky taste, the salad was a handful of mixed lettuce and some feta. The vegetarian snack board (27.50!) was accompanied by far too little sauce. The second round only one measly tub of aioli, not even mustard with the bitterballs. If we ask for a little more, they charge extra for it! I can handle a lot, folks, but being fussy about sauce... Not cool.

Very nice restaurant with an exceptional ambience. Totally well done in the old church and the beer brewery. This has a very special flair. Staff also super nice and helpful. My family and I felt very comfortable and had a great evening here. The food is great and varied. Overall a very successful evening and completely satisfied. It is definitely worth it!! We would come back.

At the end of December 2023 I went to Wispe with some friends because we knew we could eat very good hamburgers there (we had eaten there before), what a disappointment, the meat was very well done and without any taste, the bun was old, the fries not cooked properly, one of us ordered the Gumbo and it was horrible, I hope they go back to the old standard because if they keep serving such bad food the place will be closed soon. We'll check back one of these days to see if they've improved. regards

Nice restaurant but it was too family oriented for me. Kids were running around and making noise, it kept me from relaxing and enjoying the evening. Very few desserts available to order.

Bijzondere locatie, superaardige bediening, lekker huisgebrouwd bier - alleen het eten is teleurstellend. Dit jaar twee keer hier gegeten, en beide keren verbaasd - hoe kun je nou met een menu vol hamburgers niet in staat zijn een lekkere hamburger te bakken? Echt jammer.

Onsympathiek ontvangst door een dame die onze groep van 10 collega’s niet wil helpen met een plek in de schaduw of een parasol. Ze roept alleen dat we de tafels niet mogen verplaatsen en loopt weg. Gelukkig is de jongen van de bediening vrolijker. De lunch is niet voor iedereen een succes: slecht pistoletje terwijl je een goed brood zou verwachten van z’n restaurant, met kant en klare surimi ipv krab salade. Geen portobello in de knolselderij salade, geen jalapeños in de dirty fries, heel weinig saus in de zalm salade dus drie kwart is alleen droge sla, we vonden het teleurstellend. Jammer want we werken in de buurt en zou anders terugkomen, de plek is erg bijzonder!

Nice location being set in a church and the brewery has tasty beers on offering. What was not appreciated was that we had to wait for over an hour before some simple snacks were delivered. Staff were friendly, but they lacked efficiency. Please improve the monitoring of tables and ensure more timely delivery. The food we ordered was also not that great. A portion of fries was soaked in fat.

Great burgers - tasty and a lot of meat!

Voor de 2e keer langs geweest! Een van de lekkerste burger die ik ooit heb gehad! Prima eten voor als je in de buurt bent!

Bijna 45 min moeten wachten op een biertje. Wel een gratis cola gehad als goedmakertje ;)
