A really nice restaurant with an even nicer owner. They have high chairs and all dishes are available in children's sizes. Definitely try the tomato soup – it's so good and the price is great! Highly recommended!

Eat here often. The friendly owner is often there. The atmosphere is good. The menu was recently updated. Something for everyone. It feels good.

I visited this café for the first time and was immediately impressed. The barista was friendly and clearly knowledgeable about coffee. My cappuccino was perfect, with the foam just right. The cake was fresh and full of flavor. The decor was cozy, with lots of wood and warm colors. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, perfect for relaxing. The music played softly, creating a soothing backdrop. Everything felt well-maintained and well-maintained. The prices were fair, and the service was fast. This café deserves a permanent spot on my list.

It's a shame they can't give more stars! High-quality food, sauces are served separately (from what I've tried), which I really appreciate because I can choose when and how to use them. You can eat and drink without feeling like you're having a hard time; they have excellent suppliers and the chefs are truly skilled! The price is definitely fair for what you get. Not only that! The service is impeccable: courteous, attentive, and always available. Fantastic!!! I ate there two nights out of two because I loved it! Must try!

Hi there, today my friends and I had a really good breakfast at this place, the owner greeted us personally and sat us down made us the most amazing cappuccino’s , the chef made an amazing breakfast plate with the best bread and croissants, and even accepted my request for a change on the order from the menu. All in all we had a good time and a good meal, and met a great man. Can’t wait to be back Ed😉

I haven't eaten such a good steak in a long time. The Flat Iron Steak was perfect. The drinks were also really really good. I would 100% recommend it. It's a must visit when you're staying in Sloterdijk.

I stopped here for a coffee upon first arriving to Amsterdam and met the owner who was incredibly friendly and kind! His warmth and happiness was paramount to what I’ve experienced on my travels through Europe. Had a lovely coffee and cheesecake as well. 10/10 recommend to everyone! Thank you so much!

The waiter who served us was unfriendly and made us uncomfortable while taking the order. The food was mediocre considering the price. Toilet was clean though.

It was a very nice location. Unfortunately, the food is deteriorating. It seems like it needs to be cheaper. The good staff is disappearing because of the new, I-know-better manager. Too bad... Frank and Max were fantastic. I heard from neighbors that they came especially when they were there.

Nice place to eat but stop cooking at 9pm bar stays open value for money

It was the second time I was denied service. The first time it was on a Sunday in April around 19:00 where I only wanted a quick dinner. The uninterested guy behind the bar told me that they were missing staff members and they decided to accept only reservations. The place had only 2 tables occupied. The second was last friday around 21:00 when they told us that they just finished with a private event and obviously made their days revenue and so they were closing. We were 2 people. I live in the neighbourhood, I won't be giving them another chance and I wish them all the best with their choices.

The food is very good with very good vegetarian options, I recommend the vegan burger and the warm goat cheese tartine! The problem is the service... it's long, it's slow... I came very pregnant and I was placed in the full sun, a really unpleasant lunch in this heat. The price: that of the capitals, always a little expensive but it's like that everywhere.

We spontaneously arrived at a packed restaurant. They still managed to get us a seat. The waiter (whose name I unfortunately can't write because Google apparently identifies it as a swear word, which is nonsense) set up a table for us, quickly brought the kids fries, and despite the full house, we had our food in 10 minutes. The wine was also delicious, but the service from our waiter was absolutely the best! Thank you!

It's a restaurant for drinks, but it doesn't exactly have an atmospheric atmosphere. It's a challenge for those with limited mobility; the restrooms (for men and women) are upstairs, and the stairs are quite steep.

Este restaurante está a la vuelta de la esquina de Amsterdam ID Aparthotel. IT sirve buena comida, pero no lo que yo consideraría comida Holandesa. Tienen una gran selección de cerveza, y como dije la comida era buena. IT tiene una zona de patio muy agradable que está bien utilizado, y hay un montón de lugareños que parecen ir allí.

The previous restaurant at this location was a huge disappointment: expensive and downright awful, so we haven't been back since. Nevertheless, we decided to give this new one a fair chance. Upon arrival, we sat down, but it took a while before anyone even noticed us. When we finally made contact, we were immediately asked to move because we had reservations—without any explanation or welcome. No question about drinks, no menu, no smile. The way this all went down made us feel more like we were in the way than welcome. We eventually left without ordering anything. So, as local residents, it was a disappointment and we won't be returning.

Great location from the station, very nice to sit out in the sunshine. Breakfast menu was unavailable earlier than advertised. A decent cup of coffee but tourist prices, and avoid the pizza..!

Very good quality dish, delicious meat and sauce. The food is superb. However, the kitchen closed and we didn't get our dessert due to the restaurant closing an hour later? And this was due to the arrival of a large group of people, which was a shame.

Went with family for dinner on our first night visiting Amsterdam and had the double smash burger. I cut it in half to make it easier to eat and saw that the meat was undercooked to the point of being raw. I understand that some restaurants want to serve their burgers with a little bit of pink in the middle, but this was raw pink right to the edge. I sent it back and asked for the meat to be cooked through, and it was returned to me only a minute or two later still barely cooked and nearly fully pink. I sent it back completely uneaten. The table beside us also sent their food back for being undercooked. Our waiter was absent to the point that we had to flag him down repeatedly, and he was unapologetic about the undercooked burger. The burger still appeared on our bill but some of our drinks didn't, which worked out to roughly the same so I didn't press the issue. Unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant based on this experience.

The staff is friendly, the food is incredibly delicious, the portions are generous, and there's entertainment in the open kitchen - you can really enjoy yourself here.

Took my parents for a walk-in coffee. We were refused service because in 50 minutes a group of people had reserved some tables and the servers didn’t want to squeeze anyone in. Tip: go next door to De Mooiste Markt, they serve coffee with a late breakfast and we were able to get back to our plans for the day with a remaining 15 minutes on the clock still.

We were looking for a place near Sloterdijk to have some food, and we found this one: approx. 5 walk from the station. The food was good and good portions. Especially the salmon salad came with a generous portion of salmon. Also, the salad and the carpaccio are served with bread, which is a nice gesture. And the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

An hour before we came to ask for our order. More than an hour and a half to be served (we ordered two salads). You could say it was due to a rush, but not even that. The terrace was deserted and the room wasn't full, even though there was clearly a group, but we were far from completely filling the venue's capacity. You could bet on the main course, but it wasn't even up to scratch, since the smoked salmon in the salad was dry and the green salad was wilted. The salads weren't worth the price. The quality was beyond mediocre. I don't recommend it at all. Continue on your way and eat somewhere else.

Good food and nice service. In the evening it was difficult to find a place to eat, but we managed to sit down and eat dinner.

We stopped by for some snacks. Vlammetjes and frikandelletjes pretty good as well as the pizza. Truffle fries were a miss. Service was quick and food came out fast. There's a ParkBee nearby if you're driving here. Nice ambiance. They only have bottled water here. Prices are steep, but somewhat expected for this kind of restaurant.

Went to sit on the terrace this afternoon and the waitress refused to serve us because we were sharing a table with other people, and then she couldn't place the order. Terrace was full. Be happy, you think, make money, but no, they were ordered to leave. Be a little creative. Are you also going to refuse people who order something at the bar because the order cannot be placed on a table? No, right? Bizarre! Never experienced anything like this before. Been a customer for years, but won't be back.

It took a while before we were asked for what we wanted to order, but the lady was very friendly. The toilets are upstairs, so you don't have toilet smell every time you sit downstairs. Even though I continued to rinse the urinal for a very long time, I only have one comment and that is that the small waste bin for the paper towels fills up very quickly. This means you can press it with your clean hands or it will roll onto the floor next to it. Not very hygienic. In addition to the friendly service, the cappuccino ordered was delicious. For others it may be a bit too strong, but we like to drink a coffee/cappuccino in which you can taste the beans.

What happened? There were top lunch dishes on the menu, reason to go here. Unfortunately, now only standard options, and of greatly reduced quality (less tasty, with baked-off bread). Very unfortunate.

Had a nice lunch with our company. Absolutely great. Enjoyed the tuna sandwich. Tip: come by more often to take your order and prefer a steak knife with serrations instead of a regular bread knife if you serve hard(er) sandwiches. :-) otherwise very nice!

Nice building, attractive. Getting dinner served took a very long time, even though we had a small child with us. Staff friendly and we felt welcome, but we had to ask ourselves where the food was. Food tastes ok. Better experience with/during lunch. Unfortunately, there is no play corner or corner with, for example, a chef's hat and books for kids, so perhaps we are not the target group. Still an asset to the neighborhood, with some improvement, so we will come back.

Okay menu but very poor service. Staff pays more attention to the telephone than the guests. Furthermore, they ignore you when they walk by because they are focused on their own chores. We sat for fifteen minutes before we were even noticed, and the various tables had to walk to the staff themselves if they wanted to order/pay.

I went here back in Apr. 2024. I recall the food being fantastic (I only can seem to find the picture of my appetizer, so I've forgotten what I got for my entrée). The staff member that seated me and took my order was very nice, but he took a really, really long time to take my order. I was one of a couple of people who came in alone, so I do believe we were lower priority (which I'm not upset about, I get it). Wissenkerke was also quite busy, which didn't help. EDIT: I'm going to trust the restaurant's word in their response. It was just a very busy day. Still, I do remember waiting around 25 minutes to have my order taken. Was it worth the wait? Definitely. The food was really, really good, and even then, it was nice to passively people-watch. The vibes were very good in the restaurant. Groups of friends at the bar, couples on dates in the dining area, a big family sat down for some celebratory meal behind me. Mijn Nederlands is niet echt goed, maar ik snap het als mensen blij zijn. Mensen waren hier blij. Thank you for the first dinner I've ever had outside of my home country, Wissenkerke. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 💜 Someday, when I'm in Amsterdam again, I'll be sure to come in again.

We zijn hier uit eten gegaan met een vriendengroep. Helaas viel het eten tegen. De zalm was te zout en de pasta smakeloos. Helaas ook geen hartelijke of gastvrije ontvangst en bediening. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Excellent location within walking distance of Sloterdijk station for a company drink. It is easy to make clear agreements in advance and it is easy to discuss adjustments to the standard offers. During the drinks, pleasant staff who see their work, have a close eye on the agreed budget and time and come up with proposals for adjustments in the meantime. We will definitely come back here again.

Good food, and pretty quick service. First time at the new location for me. We were with a group of 8 for lunch and were served drinks really quickly and our food came quick too. We ended with a round of coffees and were done in 1.5 hours or so, which was perfect for a team lunch.

I had a really delicious meal. Brisket with red wine veal jus is highly recommended. Service: Frank is a pleasant man

The cook went back and forth outside and inside wearing the same clothes as in the kitchen. No hand washing, charlotte or apron. The good news is that I had the carbonara and he took a piece of bacon from my plate with his hands. What a shame.

A hidden gem in Amsterdam West that recently moved. The spacious terrace is open in summer weather. An ideal place for receptions and drinks, and lunch or dinner with friends or colleagues. The welcome from manager Frank is always enthusiastic. Spacious tables and excellent choice from the extensive menu (which has not changed) with "Elck Wat Wils". The bread board with olives, spreads and warm bread is ideal to start the evening. The drinks menu is extensive with beers and wine. I'll be going again soon! But then to Wissenkerke 2.0 Since October 1, you can find them at Radarweg 480, 1043NV. A few hundred meters further.

The food is not tasty, not good, the bold old bartender is very rude, the dark skin waiter also rude…this people are racist, the place in look good just outside, and not at all, he lose his hair outside ..check the photos !!!!!!!!

The restaurant is warm with a nice decoration and the service is rather quick. On the other hand, we were a little disappointed with our dishes. The mushroom pasta was good but too creamy, the Japanese chicken sauce was too thick (a little cloying). As for the Antipasti platter, the quality was very good but it lacked vegetables/raw vegetables (which I had seen in photos on the site). There were a lot of breads and ultimately not much to put on them. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days but we will not return.

It is too loud in the restaurant and the food wasn’t seasoned well. We as a group weren’t able to pay separately, so someone needed to pay 750€ in advance🤦‍♂️

Can't believe this just happened to us on a Saturday night. The 2 of us walked into the restaurant at 7:15pm, and the staff told us they're fully booked for the night and can only serve drinks, but the frustrating part was that they only had 3 tables seated with a total of around 5-6 people!

Excellent food and great selection of interesting beers. Staff is always friendly here. Try the saté or the poke bowls. Recommend coming by for lunch or dinner!

Had dinner with a group of 16 on a "normal" Tuesday evening. We had a limited menu in advance, so that the kitchen had an easier time with it, not a problem in itself. What I thought was a shame is that a simple satay was just way too dry and hard. As a chef, you wouldn't give something like that, would you? My dish was a complete disappointment. Don't give them a second chance, because you only ever make one first impression. The excuse of a move is of course nonsense, if you are not ready, don't open. Bad excuse.

¡Qué lugar maravilloso, un oasis de calma! Situado en una esquina tranquila detrás (y debajo) del Mecure Hotel, este restaurante sin duda merece una visita. Un ambiente verdaderamente relajante (y elegante) con personal amable y atento. El propietario (Dick) nos hizo (familia con dos niños pequeños) muy bienvenido y estaba encantado de responder a todas nuestras preguntas sobre los Países Bajos y su cultura. Su consejo para visitar Haarlem resultó perfecto! Solo planeamos cenar en Wissenkerke en nuestra primera noche, pero disfrutamos del ambiente tanto que volvimos para el postre y las bebidas las dos noches siguientes. La ensalada Carpaccio estaba deliciosa.

Unfortunately, my friends and I didn't try the food and drinks here. So we cannot assess that, but we can assess the service. A waiter pointed out to us, with an agitated attitude, that we should wait at the door first. Perhaps he had a point. However, when I indicated that it was not clearly indicated for us at the door, the waiter was not open to further communication. In a patronizing tone, the waiter indicated that he didn't have to tell me anything and that otherwise we could leave (with the last words: "hopefully you learned from this"). We therefore opted for the latter option.

The food was really good, we had hamburgers and chicken. The service was even more great, it was one of us birthday and the employee offered him a piece of cake with a big candle ! After that he also gifted us tons of little chocolates. We are really grateful for this gesture and this kindness. We had a good time here ! Thank you very much 😊

Very disappointing. There were 6 tables occupied (from 1-8 guests) Even though the remaining tables were empty we couldn't get one. The reason - there were only 2 waitresses and they couldn't serve more guests... Only the table of 8 ate - the remaining guests had drinks and no signs of food (no cutlery, napkins, etc.) It's a shame, the location looks very nice 😢

The Wissenkerke is the good soul of the Sloterdijk area. Excellent food (recommendation: the aubergine lasagne), delicate wine (I recommend the white house wine) and devilishly tasty cocktails! The true highlight is the staff: super-lovely, friendly and caring - a complete contrast to and a real highlight among your typical Amsterdam restaurant staff (grumpy & apathetic). The atmosphere is lively, cosy and relaxed, you can have conversations without having to scream at each other. I go there for dinner or just for drinks, and it always has been a lovely experience.
