Great food and service. Really enjoyed the double burger, fries, and Belgian beer

The staff were really friendly; they let me leave my luggage with them for two hours, which meant I could have a stroll around Amsterdam and have a brilliant time. The food was absolutely delicious, the people were lovely and the service was excellent – I’d recommend this place to everyone!!

A really great spot, located right by the train station—so convenient to get to! The staff are incredibly polite; everyone is smiling, friendly, and ready to help. My boyfriend and I had two suitcases with us, and the manager let us leave them there for a couple of hours. The food is absolutely delicious, and the coffee is great. Thank you all for such a warm welcome in a country that was new to us! ❤️❤️

My friend and I were there after work, very hungry, and we ordered carbonara and bitterballs. The bitterballs came out first, and we waited a very long time for the carbonara. It turns out they don't bring out the rest until you finish the first course (like an aperitif). The carbonara was a complete disaster. The pasta seemed overcooked, but I think it was cold and just thrown in the pan. The "meat," if you can call it that, was sour and smelled rotten. We were shocked. The young bartender was finishing the cocktails, the ones made for the guests, from the shared shaker. The only one I'd give a star to was the bald man at the bar; he was very friendly and brought us a glass of wine in a second.

Had a really great dinner at Wissenkerke with a couple of friends. The food was really nice, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was amazing. The girl and guy (Batiya) working there were both super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place worth visiting in Amsterdam!

Rudeness is a constant! The restaurant hasn't accepted any tables for dinner since 7 PM, even though it closes at 10 PM! We were traveling with a child, and they turned us away, telling us the kitchen was closed at 7:20 PM! I can't rate the restaurant or the food since we weren't able to get a seat.

We visited this place expecting a nice breakfast experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. From the moment we arrived, despite being among the first customers, we noticed that people who came after us were served before us. When we tried to order, the staff didn’t seem very attentive or welcoming. In particular, one staff member (a tattooed man, who seemed to be in charge at the time) came across as dismissive and unhelpful, which set the tone for the whole experience. We were also told that breakfast could take 30–40 minutes due to how busy it was, which is understandable, but the overall communication and attitude could have been handled much better. We believe that a more organized system and a warmer, more customer-friendly approach would make a big difference. Guys, you have to try these burgers. Perfectly cooked patties made from fresh beef. The fries with that incredibly delicious mayonnaise... divine. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is conveniently located next to the station, making it easy for tourists to dine! The steak and seafood were cooked quite well, but the service was a bit slow, perhaps due to a staff shortage?

Five cava glasses and some plates of diverse food, as pata negra, patatas bravas, calamari fritti, asparages, tuna carpaccio... The fried plates were a bit too oily. Above all was good. 114 euros in total.

Booked table for 8 people, they forgot to put it to the system and then rejected the service. Guy at the bar was completely not helpful. Avoid!

The only downside we had with our three dishes was the flat iron containing these tendons, but we also received a free coffee or tea afterwards. They are very friendly, the food is delicious, and there is a view of the kitchen. Nice, good, and attentive cook. We went for a walk two days later and stopped there for some drinks and snacks. Just as friendly and everything was perfect.

Every year, I consume a large number of steaks, all over te world. The one served here was not a good one, not prepared well, and certainly overpriced for what it was. Shame.

I went here back in Apr. 2024. I recall the food being fantastic (I only can seem to find the picture of my appetizer, so I've forgotten what I got for my entrée). The staff member that seated me and took my order was very nice, but he took a really, really long time to take my order. I was one of a couple of people who came in alone, so I do believe we were lower priority (which I'm not upset about, I get it). Wissenkerke was also quite busy, which didn't help. EDIT: I'm going to trust the restaurant's word in their response. It was just a very busy day. Still, I do remember waiting around 25 minutes to have my order taken. Was it worth the wait? Definitely. The food was really, really good, and even then, it was nice to passively people-watch. The vibes were very good in the restaurant. Groups of friends at the bar, couples on dates in the dining area, a big family sat down for some celebratory meal behind me. Mijn Nederlands is niet echt goed, maar ik snap het als mensen blij zijn. Mensen waren hier blij. Thank you for the first dinner I've ever had outside of my home country, Wissenkerke. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 💜 Someday, when I'm in Amsterdam again, I'll be sure to come in again.

They should fire that dark-skinned gentleman immediately. The terrace is 60% empty, and I have to wait half an hour for him to come over for another drink. We were there twice, and after that, we were sitting with a group, and it still took a long time. The girl is service-oriented, 5 stars for her.

Delicious food, the double smash burger is highly recommended. The staff is friendly but seems inexperienced, so you have to chase them down before you can order anything. The decor is also cozy.

Carelessly prepared food and expensive menus.

Great atmosphere, a very nice man who mainly helped us, and the other staff were also friendly. The Double Smash Burger was delicious. We waited just over 10 minutes for the food, which was nice, and less than 3 minutes for drinks. Excellent!

My partner and I went on an amazing trip to Amsterdam and discovered this lovely place in Sloterdijk. We almost walked past it, but decided to pop in for a few bites and a couple of drinks. The atmosphere was so welcoming and warm, with a great menu and brilliant staff, that we returned for our birthday meal — and it was absolutely fantastic. This is definitely a place to visit: reasonably priced, fantastic food, and wonderful service. Huge compliments to the chef, the owner, and all the staff.

We received a very warm welcome, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The person who runs the restaurant was very helpful and pleasant. We had a wonderful time. I recommend it if you're looking for somewhere other than fast food. The service isn't fast, but at least they don't rush you, and the food is hot. In addition, they seat you, whenever possible, so that diners at neighboring tables are at a distance to ensure your privacy. Thank you.

The lunch was excellent. The following evening meal was inedible. I was very surprised by the difference between the two meals. It felt like we were eating completely different places. The pasta was swimming in sauce, like soup. It left a bitter aftertaste. The mojito, made with sparkling water and mojito syrup, was, in my opinion, not good at all.

Don't come here without a reservation, that's made very clear to you. And what a racket it is

Mosy was the perfect host come waiter and barman :)! The iron flat steak was fantastic and the vegetables crunchy. I really recommend a meal here if you're staying in the area.

Delicious! I found this restaurant on a whim. The atmosphere was relaxed! The fries were made from whole potatoes and were delicious! The waiter was amazing at managing the entire restaurant by himself!

My sister and I came here on a Tuesday last week, and although the service was slightly slow they were kind and the food was delicious. We ordered a pizza for takeaway and waited about 30 minutes with the waiter realized he forgot to put the order in which was totally fine. They were kind and the truffle pasta was delicious I know tipping isn’t a culture here but we left a tipped and we raved about it to our friend and decided to come in last night to show him. One of the waiters who works the bar from our first experience was there along with a female waitress. It was an entirely different experience. The female waitress seemed like maybe she didn’t want to take us in. We got sat at a table and was given menus. We ordered waters to start off with and she just hands us a container with water in it but no glasses. So we all sat for about 15 minutes before having to wave down the waiter to finally order because no one ever came back and had to go find glasses at another table. The same male waiter who was kind in our first experience was not kind this go around. I guess he didn’t like that we were ready to order after looking at the menu for 15 minutes. He walks up and asks “yes are you ok?” You could immediately tell it was passive aggressive. He had this annoyed smile one his face. From there our friend says we are ready to order in which we began ordering. I’m excited because I love the frites and mayonnaise sauce from here and ask for the that with my burger and he has this “yeah obviously” response. We ignore it. We finish ordering and later on he comes back with our food. We go ahead and make another order for pizza for take out. Because again the first time we went here everything was pretty good. Down the pizza it was perfect. We got the margherita pizza to go the first night it was delicious. The sauce, the basil the olive oil. It was actually perfect. We tried ordering the same take out actually this past Monday and another pizza because we had been craving it so much. And it was not the same. The pizza had no basil no olive oil but even then we gave it another go last night because why not. Yet again the margherita pizza we order that distinctly says on the menu comes with basil. Did not come with it. I was apprehensive about mentioning it with how the waiter was acting already but my friend wanted to do so. He told the waiter our experiences with the pizza and he oddly asked when did we last get our first pizza that came with basil. Was confused by that because the point is that it’s supposed to come with it right? Anyways. The customer service last night was just not pleasant. I don’t know why it flipped or what the issue was but it sucked.

Last Tuesday I had a lunch at this restaurant. Placed on the first floor, which has the same feeling as if you are at the cafeteria of a workplace. The order of serving out was a bit strange. Vegetarian and normal sandwiches were placed on the same wooden plank. After the sandwiches the soup was served and then the plates for the sandwiches were given. The soup was nice. The sandwiches were not that special. The waiter was a bit too touchy. I was with some nice people so that made it up, but sorry to say I don't think I will go back here.

Very extensive menu and very friendly staff! We had lunch here with a colleague and will definitely be back. The atmosphere gave me a South American vibe, where the cafes are also decorated in an "industrial-chic" and slightly exotic style. 🥂

Great atmosphere, cozy tables. The service was friendly, attentive, and everything was served promptly. Some dishes could use some improvement, though. The Patatas Bravas, for example, could be a bit more Spanish. :)

Simply put, it was a total disaster. We booked a table for a team drinks reception. It was already difficult because they wouldn't accept the reservation at the restaurant itself; I had to email them. Then, we were literally tucked away in a back corner with a tiny standing table that didn't have enough room for everyone. The service was terrible. Ordering took ages, and we had to constantly ask them for service. And a mistake they made with appetizers was suddenly our fault. "Yes, you did order this!" Furthermore, we were pushed back at the end of our reserved time in an otherwise nearly empty restaurant, even though it was supposed to be an hour late. It all made us feel unwelcome from the start. We booked here because colleagues were enthusiastic about the location. However, we went home disappointed. We definitely won't be coming back and will definitely tell our colleagues about our bad experience.

Decent food and convenient location. Unfortunately my choices for mains were very limited as a lactose intolerant person and since I didn’t feel like soup for dinner I had a mixture of starters. I was also very surprised the restaurant took our 20:30 booking when they closed at 22:00. It was quite odd to be eating dinner while the restaurant closed around us. The staff were very friendly but I don’t think they should accept late bookings then. To be fair, I could have also checked what time they closed but honestly it didn’t occur to me.

It was our first night in Amsterdam, and I looked for the nearest restaurant to our hotel. It was the best choice! A classy and quiet place with delicious food. Everything we ordered is shown in the attached photos. A huge thank you to the wonderful Patty and the lovely Tamar; they were professional and made our experience wonderful and comfortable. 🌺🌺🌺

A really nice restaurant with an even nicer owner. They have high chairs and all dishes are available in children's sizes. Definitely try the tomato soup – it's so good and the price is great! Highly recommended!

I visited this café for the first time and was immediately impressed. The barista was friendly and clearly knowledgeable about coffee. My cappuccino was perfect, with the foam just right. The cake was fresh and full of flavor. The decor was cozy, with lots of wood and warm colors. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, perfect for relaxing. The music played softly, creating a soothing backdrop. Everything felt well-maintained and well-maintained. The prices were fair, and the service was fast. This café deserves a permanent spot on my list.

It's a shame they can't give more stars! High-quality food, sauces are served separately (from what I've tried), which I really appreciate because I can choose when and how to use them. You can eat and drink without feeling like you're having a hard time; they have excellent suppliers and the chefs are truly skilled! The price is definitely fair for what you get. Not only that! The service is impeccable: courteous, attentive, and always available. Fantastic!!! I ate there two nights out of two because I loved it! Must try!

Hi there, today my friends and I had a really good breakfast at this place, the owner greeted us personally and sat us down made us the most amazing cappuccino’s , the chef made an amazing breakfast plate with the best bread and croissants, and even accepted my request for a change on the order from the menu. All in all we had a good time and a good meal, and met a great man. Can’t wait to be back Ed😉

I haven't eaten such a good steak in a long time. The Flat Iron Steak was perfect. The drinks were also really really good. I would 100% recommend it. It's a must visit when you're staying in Sloterdijk.

I stopped here for a coffee upon first arriving to Amsterdam and met the owner who was incredibly friendly and kind! His warmth and happiness was paramount to what I’ve experienced on my travels through Europe. Had a lovely coffee and cheesecake as well. 10/10 recommend to everyone! Thank you so much!

The waiter who served us was unfriendly and made us uncomfortable while taking the order. The food was mediocre considering the price. Toilet was clean though.

It was a very nice location. Unfortunately, the food is deteriorating. It seems like it needs to be cheaper. The good staff is disappearing because of the new, I-know-better manager. Too bad... Frank and Max were fantastic. I heard from neighbors that they came especially when they were there.

Nice place to eat but stop cooking at 9pm bar stays open value for money

It was the second time I was denied service. The first time it was on a Sunday in April around 19:00 where I only wanted a quick dinner. The uninterested guy behind the bar told me that they were missing staff members and they decided to accept only reservations. The place had only 2 tables occupied. The second was last friday around 21:00 when they told us that they just finished with a private event and obviously made their days revenue and so they were closing. We were 2 people. I live in the neighbourhood, I won't be giving them another chance and I wish them all the best with their choices.

The food is very good with very good vegetarian options, I recommend the vegan burger and the warm goat cheese tartine! The problem is the service... it's long, it's slow... I came very pregnant and I was placed in the full sun, a really unpleasant lunch in this heat. The price: that of the capitals, always a little expensive but it's like that everywhere.

We spontaneously arrived at a packed restaurant. They still managed to get us a seat. The waiter (whose name I unfortunately can't write because Google apparently identifies it as a swear word, which is nonsense) set up a table for us, quickly brought the kids fries, and despite the full house, we had our food in 10 minutes. The wine was also delicious, but the service from our waiter was absolutely the best! Thank you!

It's a restaurant for drinks, but it doesn't exactly have an atmospheric atmosphere. It's a challenge for those with limited mobility; the restrooms (for men and women) are upstairs, and the stairs are quite steep.

Este restaurante está a la vuelta de la esquina de Amsterdam ID Aparthotel. IT sirve buena comida, pero no lo que yo consideraría comida Holandesa. Tienen una gran selección de cerveza, y como dije la comida era buena. IT tiene una zona de patio muy agradable que está bien utilizado, y hay un montón de lugareños que parecen ir allí.

The previous restaurant at this location was a huge disappointment: expensive and downright awful, so we haven't been back since. Nevertheless, we decided to give this new one a fair chance. Upon arrival, we sat down, but it took a while before anyone even noticed us. When we finally made contact, we were immediately asked to move because we had reservations—without any explanation or welcome. No question about drinks, no menu, no smile. The way this all went down made us feel more like we were in the way than welcome. We eventually left without ordering anything. So, as local residents, it was a disappointment and we won't be returning.

Great location from the station, very nice to sit out in the sunshine. Breakfast menu was unavailable earlier than advertised. A decent cup of coffee but tourist prices, and avoid the pizza..!

Very good quality dish, delicious meat and sauce. The food is superb. However, the kitchen closed and we didn't get our dessert due to the restaurant closing an hour later? And this was due to the arrival of a large group of people, which was a shame.

The staff is friendly, the food is incredibly delicious, the portions are generous, and there's entertainment in the open kitchen - you can really enjoy yourself here.

Went with family for dinner on our first night visiting Amsterdam and had the double smash burger. I cut it in half to make it easier to eat and saw that the meat was undercooked to the point of being raw. I understand that some restaurants want to serve their burgers with a little bit of pink in the middle, but this was raw pink right to the edge. I sent it back and asked for the meat to be cooked through, and it was returned to me only a minute or two later still barely cooked and nearly fully pink. I sent it back completely uneaten. The table beside us also sent their food back for being undercooked. Our waiter was absent to the point that we had to flag him down repeatedly, and he was unapologetic about the undercooked burger. The burger still appeared on our bill but some of our drinks didn't, which worked out to roughly the same so I didn't press the issue. Unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant based on this experience.

Took my parents for a walk-in coffee. We were refused service because in 50 minutes a group of people had reserved some tables and the servers didn’t want to squeeze anyone in. Tip: go next door to De Mooiste Markt, they serve coffee with a late breakfast and we were able to get back to our plans for the day with a remaining 15 minutes on the clock still.

We were looking for a place near Sloterdijk to have some food, and we found this one: approx. 5 walk from the station. The food was good and good portions. Especially the salmon salad came with a generous portion of salmon. Also, the salad and the carpaccio are served with bread, which is a nice gesture. And the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

An hour before we came to ask for our order. More than an hour and a half to be served (we ordered two salads). You could say it was due to a rush, but not even that. The terrace was deserted and the room wasn't full, even though there was clearly a group, but we were far from completely filling the venue's capacity. You could bet on the main course, but it wasn't even up to scratch, since the smoked salmon in the salad was dry and the green salad was wilted. The salads weren't worth the price. The quality was beyond mediocre. I don't recommend it at all. Continue on your way and eat somewhere else.

Good food and nice service. In the evening it was difficult to find a place to eat, but we managed to sit down and eat dinner.

We stopped by for some snacks. Vlammetjes and frikandelletjes pretty good as well as the pizza. Truffle fries were a miss. Service was quick and food came out fast. There's a ParkBee nearby if you're driving here. Nice ambiance. They only have bottled water here. Prices are steep, but somewhat expected for this kind of restaurant.
