Decent, nothing special, what you would expect from a fusion restaurant

The once-delicious fried rice suri was delivered today with a tasteless fried chicken katsu. Hilarious, considering the name. It used to be a genuinely nice place with good service, but that's true for so many places in Utrecht. Too bad.

You enter and wait for at least ten minutes. The woman at the entrance says nothing. Only after saying "hello" four times does she respond with a cold "please wait." Then we're seated at the bar. We're given no menus or any explanation of the concept. When I speak to the bartender, she says she doesn't take orders – only then do I discover that everything has to be done via a QR code. Two tables behind us were empty. We wanted to sit there with another guest, but we were immediately sternly told not to separate the tables and to stay at the bar. I indicated that the woman next to us would be fine if we sat at the table next to hers. This wasn't allowed because the QR code box was on the bar. I suggested we just take it to the table, but that wasn't an option either: "rules are rules." We had to go back to the bar, with an audible sigh. I explained that I found this very antisocial and almost wanted to leave. The woman next to me then said, "You guys just sit at the table, and I'll go to the bar. I'm alone anyway." This also elicited a sigh from the staff, as her order then had to be "changed." In short: what terrible service. Unfriendly, inflexible, and completely unwelcoming.

Could be better, quality wise. Small portions.

Horrible situation here. Don't go there. Get rid of QR codes! Or let people choose for themselves. Good afternoon everyone. Does this business still have any affection for older people who aren't used to dealing with QR codes? Or is it all about money and personal convenience these days? Sometimes older people still want some human contact. And not through QR codes. Apparently, convenience takes precedence over everything. Nice and easy, right?

The food was delicious. We were a large group. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken pieces.

Very pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks. I ordered the beef in hot chili oil and peking duck. Both meat were extremely tender and the seasoning in both dishes were perfect. The butterfly pea homemade iced tea was so delicious. Will definitely come back again. The acoustics of the place was really good because although there was a lot of people, I had no problem listening and speaking with other people at my table. The decor is also really nice. Definitely make a reservation though because it gets packed after work.

Good value for money and portion size, spicy and non-spicy food available.

Low prices, large portions, and nice decor. It’s great that they have a vegan option. The gyoza dumplings with spicy sauce were delicious. The main dish was, in my opinion, a bit underseasoned. I probably wouldn’t come back, but I still recommend it.

We had gotten a real recommendation from a friend, but it was still very disappointing. We both don't eat meat, and those dishes were definitely not as good. I have no idea what it's like if you do eat meat.

First time here. Ordered online. Very fast service, drinks and food arrived in no time. The staff were very friendly. The price-quality ratio was good. The food was very filling in a pleasant atmosphere.

The food arrived very quickly, and the quality was terrible, as if it had just been microwaved. I had chicken terayaki; the chicken thigh wasn't marinated, seemed only boiled, and didn't taste fresh! I'll never go there again. What a disappointment!

This is my second visit to this restaurant I didn't like the food the first time but I wanted to give it a second chance because I like Asian food unfortunately we were not happy with how the food taste although it looked good the fried chicken was hard and the steamed dumplings are not steamed I noticed that the quality of the basmati rice they use is not that good. Pina colada was good though we paid around €71 for 3 meals and 2 appetizers and 1 drink. The ambiance, the decor, the lighting are very good Service was fast but the person at the reception is not the nicest. I'm not coming again because the food is not to my taste.

The food here is delicious. Deliciously healthy and freshly prepared. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. I've eaten here several times now, and it never disappoints. The drinks are also excellent, especially the butterfly iced tea. Highly recommended!

Food is okayish, same for the atmosphere. The reason you shouldnt eat here is that they only give you water if you pay for it. We asked for a glass of tap water and they said it would cost €1 per glass. By law this is not even allowed. Very weird.

We often have lunch here on weekends. The food is always delicious! And the price is good, especially when you combine it with the lunch deal and a delicious iced tea.

A very atmospheric eatery in the middle of the center of Utrecht. A nice choice of Asian dishes. The home-made Ice Tea with various flavors such as passion fruit and Mango tastes delicious. The Black Pepper Beef and the Tornado are also recommended. A great choice to eat here when you are in Utrecht.

Food was greasy, salty, and pretty bitter. Worst of all they charged 1.1 euros per glass of tap water. What?

Will never visit again. After issues with the ordering from a QR code on the table, at the end orders were delivered double. The ordering process via mobile phone is not working properly. Endless discussion, while we should pay the double orders…. What a mess, finally the food was cold… never return again to this spot for our weekly team lunches

On July 31st, I got food poisoning at your place. I also sent a complaint by email, but haven't received a response yet. I ordered black pepper beef with white rice. The dish literally smelled like DONKEY and tasted incredibly sour! I order this dish often, and it never tastes like this! I mentioned it to the waitress during dinner, and there was no solution or apology. Only "everything is freshly made." That doesn't mean there can't be bacteria in the food that could make someone sick. I mentioned it again when I was paying, and even then, the response was useless. I felt a terrible stomach ache while eating and had to suppress the urge to vomit. Later that evening, I got really sick. The service was truly awful, especially when someone mentions twice that the food isn't okay! I didn't want "free" food; I just didn't want to get sick. In short: I don't recommend eating here unless you want to get sick and lose some weight ;)

Cute restaurant with open kitchen concept. Decent portion sizes but slightly expensive for the quality of the food. Too much rice and not enough chicken. The sauce also didn’t really fit with the dish.

Best Noodle me and my wife had ever in the Netherlands. This is our second time in this place and food is really delicious and ingredients are well Balanced with all the flavours and sauces. You should try Tornado Shrimp Noodle! Simply perfect with too many shrimp inside one portion. Thank you all the team who made this. See you soon again

Roasted duck is delicious here. Every time I'm in Utrecht, I always choose this place.

The ambience of the restaurant was quite nice and welcoming — a good place to sit and relax. However, the service was very slow, and the wait for food was longer than expected. Unfortunately, the dish I ordered was overly salty and not enjoyable at all. I couldn’t even finish it. While the setting was pleasant, the food quality and long preparation time really let the experience down.

Delicious food, just enough in a portion and an affordable price. I have been here more often in the past years. Only downside: the music was too loud in the evenings. During lunch it is less loud and you can still hear your partner.

Great place, food is pretty good although spicy here is not spicy at all. Food is fast, fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly. Coffee is also good. Gender neutral toilet is totally insane to have if you ask me.

Unfortunately the Pad Thai does no longer taste like Pad Thai. Perhaps it's because brocoli was added, regular white onion instead of shallots, tauge used sparingly and to little fish sauce used. Basically this is not how they used to make this dish which was close to the original you can find in Thailand. Not sure why the recepy was changed, but it's definitely nor for the better.

Great food, delicious homemade ice tea too. Eat with chopsticks, or fork and spoon. The food came super fast. Staff is friendly and attentive. You can order via QR code, but if desired they will also come to take the order at the table. A nice detail are the swings upstairs, on the way to the toilets.

Ideal if you want to eat quickly but also healthy. The portions are generous and the price is right. Extra credits to the staff. We were surprised and will definitely come back.

Nice Asian restaurant with various vegetarian and vegan dishes. Orders in the restaurant can be placed or placed by telephone. Service is very fast, after ordering the food is on the table quickly. Atmosphere is cozy. It is on the pricey side and the way of ordering and the (perhaps too) fast service makes it feel impersonal. Ideal restaurant if these are your wishes.

Tasty foods and strategic place

I had an expectation that it would be similar to Korean food due to the large Korean picture hanging inside the restaurant, but in reality, it was far from Korean food, so I was disappointed. Also, as a Korean, I was somewhat unfamiliar with the unique charm of Chinese food, but I enjoyed it ^^.

Food and staff are always perfect here! The atmosphere is also set by modern songs :) the matcha caramel latte is just not green, and tasted mainly like milk

Terrible service, no one came to my table for almost an hour. I didn’t feel welcome at all. The food when it arrived eventually was alright but not worth the price for the low quality. Would not recommend at all, there are much better restaurants around (even next door) takumi is great for example!

The katsu curry rice was mediocre, and it was cold. Taste wise was okay, but don't expect it to be very spicy like normal curry. It is all self-service even during lunch. So you need to pick up your own cutlery, etc. The place itself is very nice decorated. The Matcha Caramel Latte was very nice but very overpriced to charge €5 for that amount.

Tasty and fast and not too expensive. Definitely come back.

The Chicken Katsu Curry I ordered was disappointing, to say the least. The chicken was poorly cooked, overly oily, and lacked the rich curry flavor I was expecting—there was almost no curry sauce at all. For the price, the value just wasn’t there; it felt overpriced for the quality and portion size. Since I ordered delivery, I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere of the restaurant itself, so I’ll give a flat 3 stars in those categories. Overall, this experience didn’t meet my expectations, and I would not order again.

Was not a pleasant experience. The noodles were not fresh, they looked reheated several times, the beef was swimming in an overly used oil, the fried chickens were dry and hard. The only good part of the dinner was the dessert. Was definitely not worth 30 euros per person that we paid. Disappointing.

We recently visited Wok Agent Street Food and Drinks in Utrecht, drawn in by its promising pictures and central location. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. • Ambience: 4/5 The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, with modern decor and comfortable seating. Its location in the heart of the city makes it an easy and convenient spot to visit. • Food: 2/5 The food was the biggest disappointment. It clearly consisted of thawed frozen ingredients and lacked any authentic Asian flavors. The dishes tasted bland and far from the fresh and vibrant flavors you’d expect from Asian street food. • Service: 3/5 The service was average, with staff neither particularly attentive nor inattentive. While they managed the basics, there wasn’t much effort to enhance the dining experience. • Price/Value: The prices are on the higher side, which might be acceptable given the convenient location and comfortable setup, but unfortunately, the low food quality makes it hard to justify. Overall, while the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and central location, the food quality left us very disappointed. It felt far from authentic and not worth the price. We wouldn’t return.

De sfeer was gezellig en personeel vriendelijk. Het eten vond ik erg tegenvallen. Mijn vlees was lauw, dat van mijn 'buurman' zelfs koud. Toen we er wat van zeiden, werd het meegenomen en toen we het (zelfde) terugkregen, was het nauwelijks warmer. Ja, de onderkant van het bord was warmer, maar het ging juist om wat er op lag... Er zat weinig smaak aan, dus lekker gegeten heb ik zeker niet.

Bad experience, the vegetation option was not available when it was written on menu. Had to pay for non veg option, staff didn’t even bother to replace my order with veg. Costed me alot yet taste was so bland

Awesome experience sitting in front of the kitchen watching them cooking. Delicious with big portion. That first bite with the roasted duck brought me back to my teenage life to that fancy family dinner I've had. Halal is what brought me here and I didn't regret it.

Easy to order via a QR code on the table. Order was super fast and delicious! I sat outside, but inside it looked cozy and it was an open kitchen. The toilets are for men, women and gender neutral and even the toilets were s glorious!

Service and Atmosphere is superb. Food very disappointing. A lot of oil used in all dishes. this meant there was no taste to it. The duck contains many large pieces of bone.

This place is too stingy to exchange a cup of tea. You cannot order from the waitress, you are referred to a QR code When ordering you will have a list of teas. At first glance there is no mint tea there. Then you think...I'll order in advance when it is delivered and then ask for a bag of mint tea. Turns out they use loose tea... so you ask her if she can change the cup of hot water (200ml) with 2 grams of dried leaves to what you want. So not possible. They then say...costs have been incurred for making the tea. €3.50 for hot water and dry leaves...and then too stingy to give the customer the right thing to serve. The place looked nice but we went to eat somewhere else.

Good food at a fair price in the center of Utrecht. Ideal for those who like to have a warm lunch. I recommend to order the peach homemade ice tea. In this restaurant I personally prefer the noodle dishes to the rice ones. They have different menus for lunch and dinner.

While you're there, it's a great alternative to fries-like menus.

Finally found a good Asian restaurant in the Netherlands. Had the vegetarian tempeh/bean curd rice. Very good. Quickly and freshly prepared and served.

Ate here with 2 people on a busy Friday evening. We arrived just in time and were able to sit at the table straight away. And that without reservation. Most people after us had to wait a while, but not long. We both chose a combination dish. I had set 7 and my tablemate had set 6. Fortunately, both were not too spicy. I was afraid of that. It would help if some sort of gradation were indicated on the menu. But we had a delicious meal, and enough of it. The service is smooth and friendly. And the prices are reasonable for what we ate. In total, including a small dessert and 4 beers, I paid €77.50. I would definitely go here again.

Good food. Clean restaurant. Nice decor for a fast food restaurant. I get the concept of ordering via e-menu, but I think with a few small tweaks, the experience might be more human. A suggestion might be to have a runner bring out the food to the table instead of making the client get up and go to the kitchen. Failing that, at least have a person at the kitchen counter to greet customers as they pick up their orders. Unfortunately, we just had our lonely plate of food waiting for us all by itself at the counter. This gave us a rather cold, impersonal, vending machine- like vibe. A smile costs the establishment nothing, and makes for pleasant customer experiences.

Delicious and Wholesome! We tried the Tornado Tempeh, Kimchi fried rice and Veg gyoza and Tornado noodles. Everything was packed with authentic asian flavours and prepared fresh. The ambience is beautiful and tastefully done. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend for those in and visiting Utrecht :)

Had the Beef Pepper Rice dish. The rice, egg and meat were excellent and delicious. The meat could have had a bit less sauce, but altogether the dish was really good, felt healthy and satisfied my hungry stomach well.

I visited the restaurant last week, I never encountered such bad service. The wait staff were laughing and joking around instead of serving thr customers. Thr food came to me cold and the waitress rolled her eyes at me.

I had to wait really long for someone to come help me and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. There were only 3 tables. The waiters were speaking amongst themselves. And finally, when they came - their attitude was really bad. Felt as if they were doing me a favour.

Rice slightly overcooked and definitely not sticky enough for chopsticks. "Spicy" European. The Springrolls are good.

Food is average. Service is good. They let us stay there for a long time.

While in Utrecht, strategically located near train station and it has outdoor seating. All the food were good and we enjoyed our lunch here

The food is terrible, I ordered chicken soup and I got a pathetic little bowl of chicken broth. My chicken katsu curry was really terrible, the curry looked like jelly and it was much less than expected and it was not worth 20 euros. My matcha latte was also really gagging, the powder was really not mixed well and I had strange green bits in it. The temperature of my matcha latte wasn't even warm either, really strange. The waiter was nice. Service was okay.

Really not tasty at all, so bad, the chicken and Peking duck are cooked meat, not tasty at all, chicken legs spongy, really old bha, it seemed like it was from the weekend, the chicken and duck bha were a bit dirty, microwave food today, such a shame for me, no next time
