We went out for dinner today with 11 people at Wok in Vuur en Vlam. And once again, it was a success! We have been coming here for years whenever we have a match in Almelo, and we will continue to do so for a long time to come. We didn't see any empty plates, the selection was extensive, and the food was delicious. Thanks, and hopefully see you next year!

We first came here to eat in 2014 and have been back four or five times a year ever since. I would like to thank Wok Vuur en Vlam for serving us delicious food every time.

Went here on February 14th. Don't go to Wok and Korean Barbecue Vuur & Vlam. This was a complete waste of money and feels like a scam. You pay for an extensive buffet, but you get empty plates. The salmon and shrimp were empty for 25 minutes. The sushi wasn't replenished for over 45 minutes. The buffet was consistently half empty. This isn't an isolated incident; it's poor organization. We, as an adult group, were placed next to the children's corner, in a room full of screaming children. Eating quietly or having a normal conversation was impossible, even though there was plenty of room everywhere. When you raise the issue, you're brushed off with "it's coming...", but nothing happens. No apologies, no explanation, no service whatsoever. Tables aren't cleared when people leave. For this price, you should expect quality and service. What you get is chaos, empty plates, and frustration. This is absolutely not worth the money. This restaurant should be deeply ashamed.

Relatively small wok. The selection was fine, but not great. The dessert section was a huge disappointment. Much of it was either missing or looked unappetizing. The pizza/snack section was also disappointing and uninviting. We missed the food signs that indicated what it was. For sushi, for example, I had no idea what was in it. It would be helpful to know what was in it. The meat/wok/vegetables were very tasty, though. I won't be going back anytime soon, also because they don't offer options for people who have had stomach surgery (even with a doctor's ID). Many wok restaurants or all-you-can-eat concepts offer a slightly lower price. I would have found that appropriate.

Very friendly and professional staff. We tried the Korean BBQ and the wok section, the all-inclusive concept. Lots of choices, and the Korean BBQ is highly recommended. We had a delicious meal and will definitely be back.

Many containers were empty. It started with the soup. The pots of rice, nasi goreng, and bami were the same. Just the things you eat with it. No sushi. They didn't replenish it very well. I was very disappointed. The welcome was friendly, though.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at this wok restaurant on Saturday evening. The buffet was barely replenished. Many containers were empty and remained so for a long time. You had to repeatedly ask for them to be replenished, which isn't ideal for an all-you-can-eat concept. The dessert section was also largely empty, leaving very limited choices. For a busy Saturday evening, you really expect the buffet to be well-maintained. I can't fault the staff themselves; they did a decent job serving, but that's about it. Not worth the money for us!

We've been coming here for years, and it was always good. But now, what a terrible experience. The soup was lukewarm, that's the beginning. Everything was finished and not replenished. We only had one serving of noodles, and then all the containers with rice, noodles, and noodles were empty and not replenished. Looking for a luxurious and extensive meal? Then a visit to Wok in Vuur en Vlam is highly recommended. The food is professionally prepared by friendly staff, and the freshly prepared dishes are truly culinary. The sushi, tomato soup, plaice fillet, daging smoor, and the stir-fries with black bean sauce are my favorites! But there's so much to choose from... Eat a little of everything; that way you can taste a lot.

Staff friendly. One older cook was a very surly man. He wasn't nice to a new young cook either, who was very good and friendly. I'm not exaggerating when I say the food is heavenly, the staff is fast and super friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect (the music is at the perfect volume and creates a cozy atmosphere, the lights are bright but warm, and the design of the space has an authentic Asian feel). I heard it became increasingly quiet here after Fusion Plaza opened in Almelo, and that ensures it's nice and quiet here and you won't be bothered by other visitors. Not only is the food delicious, the price is low (€37.50), and drinks (plus 5 different alcoholic drinks) are included. If I ever crave all-you-can-eat, this is definitely my first choice now!

It was a lovely, quiet restaurant. A few tables were reserved, so there were no long waits at the grill, etc., and the staff was super friendly. Unfortunately, the selection for a wok restaurant was very limited and not fresh. I only had the ribeye, and it was inedible, so I couldn't taste the meat. Dessert was more than enough.

Went for kbbq menu but because of that we could also get the wok side of the restaurant, amazing sized pieces of meat and amazing variety of meat and seafood, the soft drinks, tea, coffee, draft beer and some wine are included as well! Overall good value for money! At one point the meat/seafood buffet for kbbq ran out and we asked for more and was given more with no issues! Overall very satisfied with my meal here with my family!

I went there with my two sons, and what struck me was how friendly, helpful, and fun the staff were with the kids. At the start, our net was asked if there were any allergies we needed to be aware of, and when my son accidentally spilled something, it was immediately cleaned up, even though he wanted to make it right himself. After each course, our plates were collected promptly, and we were politely asked if everything was to our liking. The food itself was excellent, and the chef was a friendly, down-to-earth man who, if you're open to interaction, is a special asset. It was a great and enjoyable experience, especially for the kids. I've read some reviews that weren't quite so positive. Sorry, but I didn't notice any of that and think it was just nonsense. Therefore, I have nothing but praise for this wok restaurant. We had a wonderful evening and I can definitely recommend it!

We hadn't been here in years. We'd reserved a table beforehand because, well, it was probably busy (holiday season). When we arrived, there were still 5 (maybe 6) tables occupied. The food was disappointing; a lot of it was left behind (few guests), and the meat and fish were discolored. Despite it being so quiet, the grilling crew didn't take enough time with my piece of meat, and it ended up almost raw on my plate. There were many empty plates, and the sushi wasn't replenished properly. The desserts were also very mediocre. Once home, the two adults had really bad stomach problems :( and we definitely didn't eat too much. We spent 150 euros, and honestly, I think it was a waste of money for what we got.

On August 7, 2025, we dined with friends at Vuur & Vlam. What immediately struck us was how quiet it was, with a maximum of 15 guests. We'd eaten quite well there in the past, so we assumed everything would be alright. But we were very disappointed... The meat and fish from the griddle and grill were actually quite okay. But that was about it. The other food from the Chinese buffet wasn't warm. It wasn't replenished at all. When we left, over two hours later, there was still the same handful of potatoes in the container. The containers for the meat and fish prepared on the griddle weren't very full either. The sushi was also rarely, if ever, replenished. Then there was the staff. That's a sad state of affairs. The chefs didn't crack a smile. We also had the impression they spoke little to no Dutch. Only one staff member was serving. This staff member was simply grumpy and spent more time on her phone than helping customers. Upon leaving, I informed the owner that the food, especially the buffet, was far below par. We expected an apology. However, we were told to report this to the bar next time. They would then provide hot potatoes, among other things. We indicated that there would be no next time for us. There were also almost no new customers in the more than two hours we were there. And this was during the holidays. All in all, it was far below par. The Chinese ping-pong music also became very annoying at one point. Furthermore, it was very warm in the restaurant. The meat and fish from the griddle were okay. But that's about it. The dessert buffet was also nothing to write home about. At €150 for four people, not something to be particularly cheerful about. Used the Korean BBQ option. Excellent quality as an additional option for the wok. Best wok? No. Best Korean BBQ? No. But as an all-you-can-eat concept in Twente, it's a perfect choice.

A staff member came to our table about 20 times to check on what we were eating, whether we had the pan set to 3 or 1, and she kept checking (with her head practically between our legs under the table). This was very annoying. I was very disappointed with the BBQ and was more inclined to get meat from the wok section. The sushi was very small, and there was very little of it. Considering the staff almost sat at our table and asked if it was good with almost every bite, we don't plan on returning. We even left halfway through because it left us feeling so uncomfortable.

Hadden een stel uitgenodigd om verjaardag te vieren… heb me gewoon ongemakkelijk gevoeld. Zaterdag om 18.00 uur gereserveerd, zat misschien 20 man binnen en niemand bijgekomen. Salade bar mag zo niet noemen, enkel een bak met wat ijsbergsla en een schaaltje huzarenachtige sla, geen tomaat te bespeuren. Wij zijn echt niet kieskeurig maar dit sloeg nergens op. Inrichting ook totaal niet gezellig en bij het buffet gedeelte heel donker alsof je de dingen niet goed mag zien. Gaan volgende keer wel weer naar ons vertrouwde adres tussen Hengelo en Deurningen.

Weer super gegeten en kinderen vonden het ook heerlijk! Vers eten en vriendelijke bediening. Gevarieerd drinken. Al met al prima voor elkaar.

1x nooooooooit weer!!!😝😝😝 Vanavond samen met Maaike bij de wok vuur en vlam in Almelo geweest. Wat keken er echt naar uit, wat was de teleurstelling groot.😒 Bij aankomst 18:30 was het gezellig druk, je moest ff wachten bij de vis en bij het vlees stond gewoon een rij. De sushi was niet helemaal vol, maar daar hadden we toen nog begrip voor. Om Half 8 /8uur, werd het steeds stiller, en euh.. er kwam niemand meer bij,🤔🤔 wat we erg vreemd vonden, want tja echt normaal was het niet.🤭🫢 Achteraf was het voor ons wel duidelijk, waarom het zo rustig was in dit wok restaurant. Er werd totaal niks aangevuld, de sushi schalen waren leeg....😮😯😲 Oke de gamba's en biefstuk was in het begin van de avond lekker, maar aan het einde van de avond had ik biefstukjes uit de wok, die gewoon rauw waren...(zie de foto's) 😝niet opgegeten dus Tijdens het eten, voelde een personeelslid gekleed in een vies geruit overhemd zich geroepen om de tafels schoon te maken...met sterk ruikend schoonmaakmiddelen .😕☹️😫daarbij liepen ze echt rond.... , zo van het moet... Maar eigenlijk boeit het me niet., heb liever dat jullie gaan.... ... De bakken met eten waren zo goed als leeg, de kleine garnalen lagen als één blok in een bak, bleken deze bevroren te zijn...😱😱 Het ijs wat in bakken behoorde te zitten waren leeg, we bofte dat er nog smurfen ijs was, die we opvrolijkte met aardbeien tja je moet wat....😄 Het is dat we nog volop lol hadden en vooruit betaald hadden 79€(wat voor ons beide toch echt geld is) , anders...... Dus mensen wil je lekker eten ga dan niet naar Vuur en Vlam in Almelo zonde van je geld en gezellig uitje.

Wok is our youngest son's favorite food, that's why we went there again. We used to get the first drink from the employees, but that is no longer an option. I really felt like we were being dumped. I've been there a few times and it's always incredibly delicious. Extensive choice and wok dishes, sushi etc etc. We will definitely come back. Very clever of the grillers that they accept a number of plates at the same time and can also tell apart what they are grilling. Hard workers too.
