We absolutely loved it. However, I maintain that there shouldn't be too much lobster in the combos. You should make a reservation via their website. Thanks to the Filipino gentleman for taking care of us 🙏🏻.

Last time I ordered some to take home, and it was still piping hot when I arrived after a two-hour train ride. This is my second time eating here. The staff are very friendly, and the food is delicious. I'll definitely bring my friends next time!

A really viral place, and I can see why. There are plenty of food options, but what makes it especially fun is the whole way you eat. You get a bib, gloves that come in packages looking suspiciously like condoms 😂, and all kinds of tools to attack your crustaceans with. It’s messy, playful and definitely part of the experience. The seafood is yummy and there’s lots to choose from. Don’t come expecting a fancy restaurant, though, because that’s really not the point. You come here to put on your bib, get your hands dirty and indulge. The place could be a little cleaner, but overall, if you love seafood and want a fun, slightly chaotic feast, this is a very good place to indulge.

Thank you to the Sri Lankan employee, Danash, her manners were wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful and their food is even more beautiful and delicious.

Most of the food was actually very good, which made the experience with the lobster even more disappointing. The lobster was extremely tough, rubbery, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. When we mentioned this to the staff, we were simply told that this is how lobster is supposed to be. That is definitely not the texture you would expect from properly cooked lobster. Unfortunately, the service also wasn’t great. The staff seemed uninterested and gave the impression that they didn’t really want to deal with our concerns. Instead of taking our feedback seriously, it felt like it was simply dismissed. Really loud music!

Went to this place after the World Pride Boat Parade and we got lucky to get seated immediately! Food was served quickly and tasted superb! We got the nordic crab, prawns, and langoustine combo with the Wow Crab sauce mix in medium spicy and it was soooo good! Serving size was perfect. Wish the chicken sausages were at least the size of breakfast sausages and not thinly sliced tho! Cocktails and mocktails tasted so good as well! The service was amazing! Definitely going back to try other seafood options 🦀🦞

Every time I go to Amsterdam, I have to eat at Wow Crab; it's become a must! For me, it's one of my favorite places in the city. The sea boil concept is brilliant: you choose what you want (shrimp, corn, potatoes, lobster, mussels, etc.) and everything is served with a flavorful sauce. I always get the shrimp and I'm never disappointed. The sauce is incredible, the corn is delicious, the potatoes are perfectly cooked… Honestly, everything is excellent! The service is also very pleasant: the staff is welcoming and friendly, and the meal is always enjoyed in a great atmosphere. I love this place and I miss it every time I go back. I 100% recommend it if you're ever in Amsterdam.

While the seafood itself was pretty nice (especially the snow crab was good), the eggs you pay over 17 bucks extra for were spoiled sour, and multiple potatoes were rotten black on the inside. When I made mention of this, no follow-up of any kind was given. Both me and my date got sick from the food. Quite a shame, as a little more care in the ingredients could make this a great place.

Fun for a one-time visit. It started with a cool welcome that came across as totally uninterested. “We have a reservation.” “Oh, uh, just go sit somewhere,” we were told, whereas a “good evening, how nice that you’re here” would have been more appropriate. Once we were seated, it took a while for the penny to drop that we had to shame the QR code to order via an ordering app (good evening, take a seat: Kentucky the concept? No, please scan this code blah blah). When we had ordered the drinks and food, we saw the option to get a free drink if you wanted to upload a photo to your socials and tagged it. Well, I’d like that. Done, and called the manager over. “Now you have to go to the app to order the free drink.” But the button isn't working? Oh wait, I have to turn that on. Uh?! Why doesn't that idiot just ask right away what we want to drink? Service?? As for the food: the concept is unique: a large bag of food is emptied onto the table. We had chosen Cajun Mild: everything is put into the bag, so everything tastes the same... On top of that, it cools down quickly on the table. The taste itself is good, but it is monotonous. Inside, it didn't look entirely finished yet: part of it still needs to be furnished. All in all, a lot of money for poor service for reasonably okay food, but monotonous in a modern, trendy place.

Even tho its a chain they still scam you. I went 2 times in the same week. First time we were 2and ordered combo menu (60euro approx) good size for two amd comes with one rice bowl. Second time i went and we were 5. Ordered menu aswell but value was 105 base price for each and was supposed to be fore 2-3 people. Ordered so 2 of them. It came the same exactly size and product of the time before (beside the double of the price) and for over 200 euro included were only 2 bowls of rice , we asked for 2 more and we got charged for it😅 so they sell the same just doubling the price. Wont go anymore and if u go keep ordering cheap menu as the expensive are the same quantity of food. Very poor experience designed for turist indeed rather then locals

Absolutely loved this experience. The child inside me loved eating with my hands and eating off the table, it was awesome. The crab, potatoes and prawns were absolutely out of this world. I loved my cocktail as well. I would love if they had a vegetarian menu though, me and my partner came with my sister and she had only one option which was chips.

It was a terrible experience, especially when I saw that food had been spilled and flies were buzzing everywhere. Disgusting! The atmosphere and service were so bad that they asked me to sit down immediately upon entering.

Absolute joke of a restaurant. Atmosphere is horrendous with dumb neon lights spread across the place with nonsensical quotes, bathrooms are falling appart and more disgusting than a Sunday serviceless dixy on a festival, food is smacked on the table with plastic bags that drooped over and in our already served drinks. The food itself is nothing special and most fish restaurants will serve you better food. The crab is nice but all the other stuff is pathetic. Most shellfish won't have any meat in them, since it seems like the bags might have been ordered frozen and whole so the contents of the shells are all over the place. The river crab tasted rancid and one bag might feed one person or 2 small apatite people. One portion will cost you over 100 euros btw. The music is horrible as well, nearly forgot with everything going on. I'm sure if you go here you'll be unhappily surprised by a million more disappointments but honesty it was to overwhelming to remember them all. If you are a pretentious tourist with more botox then brains in your body this might be the place for you otherwise I'd avoid it like the plague. On second thought I'd avoid it even more then the plague since that comes for free usually and besides the fact that you will die a horrible death it tends to not come with music that's makes your ears bleed. I'd not write this review if if it was just a bad restaurant but they forced me to get a second mortgage on my house and I live in a rental.

WOWCRAB was such a good spot. Great customer service. If you love seafood, this one is definitely worth trying. Everything was full of flavour, fresh and so satisfying proper comfort food if you’re in the mood for a seafood boil. A really fun dining experience and one I’d happily go back to

We made a reservation because we had heard great things about this place, and it definitely lived up to our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh, and the portions were great. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a great experience and would definitely come back the next time we’re in Amsterdam!

It was my second time staying there. Every time I’m in the Netherlands, I make it a point to visit because I genuinely enjoy the place.

We ordered the Combo 4 for two. The set cost €128, and with a liter of water and a cola, the total bill came to €144. Before visiting, I had seen many reviews saying that the portions were too small and that people left hungry. However, our experience was completely different. We were actually very full and couldn’t finish everything, even though we both have a big appetite.The staff were very friendly and welcoming and helped us choose our dishes. Our order was served very quickly. Almost everything was delicious and prepared to a high standard.The only item that disappointed me was the lobster. I’m not sure about its freshness, as the taste was quite unusual and not enjoyable at all. Everything else was excellent.My only other complaint is that there was only one seafood cracker/tool on the table, so we had to take turns using it, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily come back again.

It’s a nice concept and the food was passable. However, I found the service very impersonal and orders were not taken at the table, while the QR code cannot be scanned if your hands are covered in food. The crab was not up to par, but nothing was done about it after I reported it. With +/- €250 worth of shellfish on the table, we had to pay again for some extra sauce with the fries. Definitely not recommended if you are looking for a cozy atmosphere, service, and good food. It is recommended, however, if you couldn't care less and like eating with your hands.

Went out for food with friends. Waiters make you pay half way throughout the meal when your hands are dirty. They pressure you to pay at the worst moment. Furthermore, the managers do not reply to emails you send. It is incredibly disappointing how they treat customers. If you want good service DO NOT come here.

Fantastic restaurant in Amsterdam, with excellent service and truly fresh ingredients. The dishes are incredibly flavorful, but be warned, they're very spicy! If you don't like spicy food, go for level 1: even level 2 is quite intense. The ingredients are excellent, although I would have liked a bit more sausage. The cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are huge and very well made. The seafood boil is €62 for two people: more than enough, it fills you up very quickly, especially with the accompanying rice. A little tip: if you're hesitating between langoustines and prawns, go for the prawns; they have much more meat. The Wow Crab sauce is a gem, perfectly seasoned; I would have just added a touch more lemon.

Food was amazing however, we reserved at 9pm and were rushed to pay mid meal because they fully close at 10... If you know how a seafood boil works, it is quite messy and requires you to peel a lot of seafood. By the time we ordered and the food arrived, that left us about 30 mins to eat, which is clearly not enough time given how much peeling needs to be done... Personally, if I spend 160+ euros for two people I would like to enjoy it. My only suggestion would be not to take reservations after 8:30 if your intention is to leave at 10.

It is such a rip-off; for €62 you get a bit of fish and that’s it. You pay more for the person bringing the food in a bucket, nothing more. The food wasn't special; this is a TikTok trend. We arrived thinking that for €40 per person we would get everything included. The only thing we got included was a napkin, nothing more. BAD BUSINESS….

A very fun evening, different from the usual dinner. I won't go into detail because the pictures speak for themselves. Very good food, plentiful and tasty. Good service, and a lovely venue.

We took the combo 4 today, quality was good but let's say we expected more for that price and also the sausage was missing... something that was then fixed by offering us the drinks. Waiter helpful and attentive.

Well… We'd only ever experienced this type of restaurant in Florida before, and we found it to be excellent value for money. We couldn't replicate that positive experience here. The food isn't worth the price; it's completely overpriced. The service was friendly and quite fast; we ate dinner there. It's incredibly loud due to the extremely loud music, making conversation nearly impossible. We unfortunately can't recommend it.

We went there for the first time and it was a real experience. We had a delicious meal and the service was reasonably quick. We talked about going to eat at wowcrab again several times afterwards.

It smells super good for seafood fans when you enter the restraunt. The tables are almost full. We waited for 15min for the ordered food - acceptable time period.

We ordered 2-3 people set for 3 of us. The portion didn’t seem so generous. But taste was very good, overall happy with the service and the food

The name would be better off being Wowcrappie; what a disappointment. To start with, the waitstaff spilled half of my cocktail over my coat — and dismissed it with a "sorry." The staff seemed completely uninterested in their work anyway. We had ordered the largest platter, but everything tasted the same, like that nasty spicy sauce. The mussels, the crab, the lobster, the prawns: truly tasteless. There wasn't even meat in one of the lobster claws — clearly everything had already been pre-cooked. Let's not even talk about the wine, 80% of which wasn't even available. The atmosphere was deplorable and the toilets were downright filthy. One big disappointment.

I love the food and the overall customer experience. They treat you like royalty and handle every request quickly with great attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Great. We were a bit late and were seated in an upstairs room. It was very messy, but after some shuffling, it was resolved. It was my first time there with a birthday person, and I had mentioned it beforehand, but nothing was done about it. A shame. We came from far away, but our table was already gone.

If you know good taste of seafood- don’t waste your money here. Overhyped, overpriced and the seafood tasted like nothing. Only the sauce gave taste, but you could tell that it was precooked in water. Didn’t even taste like crab, shrimp, whatever. Huge disappointment.

Food was incredible. Worth the money, service was great but it feels like walking into a tiktok. It wasn't cozy and the tables are very close to each other. It's kinda gross how the buckets are put on the ground so when someone put something in their bucket they have to get close to you.

Fab experience but not very filling was suggested what to order by very helpful staff. I spent around £45 ahead(just on food) you'd expect to leave with a full belly but unfortunately we had to stop at McDonald's after for some burgers. I had to rearrange the lobster myself to get the pic(don't bother me but might with others) this was the suggested portion for 3 came with a small bowl of rice

A wonderful culinary experience at Wow Crab! A huge thank you to Eleanor and Francine for their warm welcome, smiles, and enthusiasm. However, the customer service, especially from the manager "Jade," needs improvement. We felt like we were bothering them and were even harassed several times when she came in. Honestly, the only reason I'm not giving it five out of five is solely due to Jade's behavior. I hope things will be rectified. Best of luck to you.

Wow Crab truly lives up to its name! The food was super fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. The portions are generous, and the service is friendly and fast. You can taste the love they put into the cooking. Absolutely recommended; I'll definitely be back!

WowCrab Amsterdam had a very nice atmosphere, an incredible selection of songs, the food was top standard, so tasty and flavourful. The drinks were very good, I would recommend the pornstar martini

The service was very friendly, and the location is great, right in the middle of all the shops in Amsterdam, so you have a beautiful view. I 100% recommend their homemade ice tea as a drink; it's super delicious. Wowcrab is truly the place to be; don't miss out!

Love this place, rushed over for our last night 30 min before close time and they refused to sear us, we’re just two people, we would’ve been in and out in 30min, everyone respecting everyones time. But just change your closing time to 21:30.

Food was ok, but not great. Did I sense the margarine instead of butter in the Cajun sauce? I hope I am wrong. The crab was fine, fresh. The "standard" boil ingredients are not freshly cooked, so the green shell mussles are like rubber. How can you spoil the green shell mussels in this manner, I don't get it. Shrimps are also overcooked. That happens when you precook your shellfish. I understand the plastic bag, the metal bucket under your table and plastic gloves, but there is so much trash produced, unnecessary. You can actually solve this in a more sustainable manner. American style dining is fine, but jeez, just make it enjoyable on all of the levels, we are still in Europe. 1. No tap water. 1 litre of mineral water is 10,- euros (that's 10x over the original price) 2. QR menus. Still you have to ask all questions personally, and then get your nose back into the phone. This is so cheap. 3. Not enough special cutlery. You are expected to SHARE your crab crackers with your party, like sit there and wait til your friend is done. 4. Way too loud music. 5. Personnel was bored and not loyal to their boss' policy on water (which I totally get, but hey, you don't want your personnel gossiping with customers, because these customers will never return). All this for a lunch of at minimum of 50,- euros (without alcohol).

We tried the Lobster, and it was good but moderate overall. The food was flavorful, the shrimp mussels though not quite the Cajun style we expected. Service and atmosphere were fine, but the experience was average.

The seafood at Wowcrab is fresh, but unfortunately it really lacks flavor and the meatiness is quite low compared to the high prices. On top of that, they weren’t responsive when I tried to reserve a spot, which was disappointing. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming for the cost, and I wouldn’t plan to visit again

A very strange establishment, it was of course interesting to pick at the food, which is dumped directly on the tablecloth without plates, with your hands, but we will definitely not come here again. I think that we are simply not the target audience of this restaurant 🙃

The trick is added extras can take the price up. Our order combo 2 with almost 70 Euro and then ended up paying 116 Euros . Never buy Thor mocktails as the flavors are bad and tooo sugary. Bad experience and overpriced

The food was delicious! But it was still spicy even when we took mild. There was so loud music, that we could not hear each other. To of the young boys just talked right beside us, when we needed help. But then i got my eyes on another waiter and he help us.

Over 5 stars, the food was super delicious. The best I've ever eaten 10/10
