Yum Yum Thai Food in Nieuwe Pijp

Super fast delivery and great red curry! I wanted to leave a review at thuisbezorgd (I ordered through the restaurants site; delivery is by thuisbezorgd though), but the link thuisbezorgd is sending doesn’t work. Good for the restaurant to know I guess.

Been waiting for my order for 2 hours, while Uber Eats says they deliver within 35 minutes. The restaurant is also not accessible.

We ordered from Yum Yum Thai Food and nothing came even 1.5 hours after the stated delivery time. Nobody answered the phone or answered. The food just didn't come...

Delicious food, always good delivery and super nice staff

I am from Asia so the vibe, the restaurant looks kind of familiar to me. The food was okay. I ordered fried rice and it’s okay in general. The portion is big but the issue is the rice is way too sweet. Thai food is more or less sour and spicy. Everything is sweet here.

Small restaurant , mostly for shipping. The food was a over sweet. If you like Thais food, this one will not be the one you should choose. But if you want a grab a meal with big proportion and reasonable price, give it a try.

Yesterday night I ordered in this restaurant by ubereats a pad thai vegetarian. But uber used my “ real location” for delivery and the address was missing some information. So I canceled straight away, the payment was made with my card. So I tried to correct my address and ordered again. I received the second order at my placed and I payed by cash for the delivery guy. And now I received a email of uber telling they will not refund my first order because the restaurant told they were already preparing my food. So the restaurant made pay twice for my order, I was harmed by the restaurant. Lack of honesty.

Totally a scam. Ordered by Uber eat and wait for more than two hours, finally have a call said already delivered to the hotel reception . But there is nothing else and never have anyone shown up around. Also tell me that they will call back but no one call back to me ;)

i kind of wish i could give it zero stars! i ordered on uber eats, and btw (dont) because you don't get a order number, because they deliver them themselves - so you can't track the order or anything. Anyway, fast forward an hour - still no food, so i called the restaurant to ask for an update, they didn't have one as they 'didn't have an order under my name' he then also said 'i dont understand you accent' which is fine, but maybe abit rude? Then i cancelled the order on uber eats, via the online chat. Terrible service

We have always had good (and fast) experiences with YumYum, but now we have been waiting 2 hours for our food and they are unreachable. Very poor customer service…

Ordered a: massaman beef, tom kha koeng and a khao pad kai to go a while back and found our meal to be of very average to bad quality. The massaman beef was primarily oil and no proper sauce, the beef was still quite tough and it actually gave my partner and I stomach issues. The tom kha koeng lacked in flavour, had barely any vegetables in it and only 2 shrimp? The chicken fried rice was of average quality and was probably the highlight of this dish, which says enough. For those three items I paid €41,70, which wasn't worth the money of the quality of food we got. The delivery was made 40min after ordering and no cutlery or napkins were included in the bag. The meal was quite disappointing and we shall not eat nor order from this place again.

Ordered twice and I would advise everyone to NEVER order food here. The first time it took 110 minutes. The second time I went to the snack bar after waiting 180 minutes, and when I returned, yum yum Thai finally arrived. I sent them away and didn't even get my money back in the end. The worst part is that it was impossible to contact. Within 180 minutes the phone was always busy, or they simply hung up. By the way, with my first order the starter mix was fried/burned completely black. The pad Thai was already quite mediocre back then..

Delivered within 20 minutes! Very tasty. Next time :)

Very friendly service and good food

The food is very good, although as always, in this type of places, you find similar menus in all the establishments, this one being no exception. I recommend booking with the fork. They treated us wonderfully, with a girl who took our table super attentively, from being in a corner. The place is cool, but I still can't give it 5 stars since there are other nicer places. Still, very good.

When we arrived the place was quite crowded (Saturday evening) and the boy at the cash register advised us to come back after a while, in fact after 10 minutes we didn't even come back and they gave us a table. Service was decidedly slow, the place was full and there was only one waiter to serve everyone. Rich menu, the flaw is that not all the ingredients are specified in the various dishes (we took a soup and once it arrived there were mushrooms in it, which is not written on the menu and is quite serious). Overall quite good food and average prices for Amsterdam. Very nice atmosphere of the place.

We were about 20 business people spending several days in Amsterdam. By coincidence found couple of hours before dinner this Thai restaurant that reserved us the 20 seats. We spent a pleasant evening together and enjoyed quality food with a good service. No luxury but fair prices for a good quality meal I can definitely recommend!

We had a plate of pad thai with shrimp which filled us up. The Waiter is a very kind guy, who manages to put everyone at ease and makes the place make a difference

Ordered food here via home delivery. Never had to wait so long before, 2.5 hours. Called several times and the delivery person was on his way. But the delivery person never came. And then after 2.5 hours you expect the delivery person to arrive on a bicycle with apologies, but no, he just arrives by car. I wonder what you have been doing in the meantime!' The food was not special either, so definitely not recommended, just skip this place!

Tooooooo sweet and all the dishes were the same sweet taste, cannot eat without water which you need to buy cuz they don’t offer

We had dinner with friends, the food was normal and the prices too, the service was ok even though we were denied tap water (which in Holland is not allowed but ok) even when they had run out of natural bottled water. I find it unacceptable. To top it off they don't have dessert and they encouraged us to leave as soon as we finished.

Shrimp green curry was yummy. So was pad Thai with chicken and Tom Yum Koeng soup. The portions are generous. The service is friendly and fast, without feeling rushed. Lots of people were getting take-away; seemed like a popular place for locals. Price was very reasonable too.

Coming back to this Thai restaurant: delicious food and big portions and lovely staff. Good prices for Amsterdam and nowadays inflation. Definitely recommend the Massamam Kai!

We found this restaurant via the Fork. Overall, I would rate 3 stars ⭐️ = could be a good choice when you are in the neighborhood. Food: 1 out of 2 stars ⭐️. The pad thai is a bit over sweet. Service: 0.5 out of 1 star ⭐️. They are quite busy with take-away orders, it takes quite a while to have our food. Price: 0.5 out of 1 star ⭐️. The price/quality ratio is acceptable, considering it’s in Amsterdam. Location: 1 out of 1 star ⭐️. Very easy to find it. But It’s better to get there by public transportation. Not very easy to find a parking spot.

Update: Het restaurant heeft me de volgende dag gebeld om excuses aan te bieden en om levering van zowel het ontbrekende gerecht als een extra gerecht naar keuze te regelen. En dat is gelukt. ****** Het restaurant deed er 2 uur en 40 minuten over om mijn bestelling te bezorgen terwijl ik 3,5 km verderop woon, en toen het eindelijk aankwam, ontbrak een van de drie gerechten die ik had besteld.

De Pad Thai was goddelijk! Het voelde alsof ik weer terug was in Thailand. Hele snelle en vriendelijke bezorging.

Updating my previous review (still at the bottom of this one though) Since the bad experience I had a few months ago, I have returned to this place 2 more times and the experience was now very good. The dish I had was very tasty (chicken red curry), the waitress was very friendly and helpful, no negative remarks anymore. I will certainly return Waited 15 min at the table given by the waiter without anyone showing up giving the menu or asking what I wanted to eat. Instead staff was chatting with each other, never seen such lack of interest for customers….

Overall very good, tasty food and fast service.

The place is in a good location and the taste & portion is adequate too. The reason for a 3 star is we booked a table using TheFork with discount, the restaurant cancelled our reservation minutes before we reached, although we had made the reservation earlier that day in the afternoon. Upon arrival we even informed them we have a booking from Fork, only during paying the bill they informed us the booking was cancelled and our discount won't be applicable, which i found very unprofessional and thus we had to pay the full amount. The management shouldn't be involved in such dubious marketing if they don't want to honor the terms.
