Delicious food! Stopped by chance as we we’d arrived fairly late to the city, but glad we did! The bruschetta was delicious, the ragu was perfectly cooked, and the tiramisu was also great. Decent prices too, would recommend.

A very good Italian restaurant where we had a pleasant time in a family atmosphere. The food was delicious. I'm giving it 4 stars because, despite a very good plate of seafood pasta, it was definitely lacking in quantity... One or two more spoonfuls of pasta wouldn't really change the price!

Nice atmosphere, a bit loud Service was friendly, but I wasn't told that the lasagna was vegetable lasagna. I wasn't charged for it, though, so it was fair.

The food is homemade and delicious. The menu is limited, but if everything is as good as what we had for dinner, that's a point in its favor.

Yes, it's expensive here and the portions aren't large, but you have to know what kind of food you're eating. Handmade pasta and a tuna fillet that was so tender and flavorful that even I, who doesn't usually eat fish, was more than impressed. The service was great; it wasn't busy in the restaurant, and we got our food right away. The music is pleasant, everything is clean and high-quality.

A perfect place for people who want to eat Barilla pesto for €21. We initially waited a long time for the menus so we could look at the overpriced dishes. €21 for a tiny portion of pasta with pesto from a Barilla jar and another €20 for a subpar Parmiggiana di Melanzane is simply not justified. With empty stomachs and light wallets, we headed home. A kebab to go is far superior in terms of service, ambiance, value, and taste experience.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Amsterdam!

Delicious house made pasta but utterly ridiculously tiny portions of food. It was actually shocking how small a portion was served. Was still super hungry after finishing my “dinner”. Such a disappointment to pay so much for so little. Also my cup of coffee was literally only 1/2 full when delivered to table. Definitely a terrible value for the price. Would not go here again. Also, the outdoor umbrella was “kaput” and we got wet when it started to rain 1/2 way through our meal.

This restaurant is in a great location just outside the extremely busy center of Amsterdam but either easy walking distance of the central train station. The burrata with roasted egg plant, red peppers, grilled zucchini, and sourdough bread is the perfect starter. The carbonara y tartufo is excellent and the the beef tenderloin seasoned with fresh rosemary was cooked perfectly.

It’s a pity I have to give this place fewer stars than it could have earned. Overall, it’s a lovely restaurant in a beautiful location, but one waiter managed to dampen what was meant to be a special day for us. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were first greeted by an older man who began serving us. He was very indifferent — no smile, no interest — and immediately made us feel unwelcome. Thankfully, a younger waiter stepped in later, and his friendliness saved the impression from being completely ruined. He was warm, smiling, and even gave us a card to congratulate us on our special day. For the rest of the evening, we were served by another man — Italian, I believe — who was also very pleasant and attentive. The antipasti were excellent, the main course was less impressive, but the tiramisu for dessert was absolutely delicious. In conclusion, if we had been served by the other staff members from the very start, the whole experience could easily have been five stars.

A Tavola – Italian Restaurant at Kadijksplein, Amsterdam A Tavola is a very good and authentic Italian spot. We started with the mixed antipasti, which had a nice variety of cold and warm items — the stuffed mushrooms stood out. For the Primi, we had the carbonara with truffle. It was just right: simple, rich, and the pasta was cooked al dente. As Secondi, we went for the Parmigiana di Melanzane, which was also really tasty. With the food, we had a bottle of Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva and a Soave Classico. We skipped dessert because we were too full, and instead shared a bottle of 2019 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva to finish. If you haven’t been, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

We went to A Tavola for the first time today. We ordered the homemade pasta with pesto, the arugula salad, and the tiramisu. Everything was delicious. We'll be back❤️

Best meal Ive had in Amsterdam!

Loved the quaint atmosphere. Bruschetta was delish. Simple but full of flavor & the bread was very tasty. I got nonnas pasta & I’ll be dreaming about it a long time. Best meal I’ve had in Amsterdam.

The best Italian restaurant in Amsterdam!

One of the best pasta meals I’ve ever had! Everything was so fresh and delicious!!!

I ate here with my girlfriend on march. We hated the experience. Very high prices, for small portions. The risotto had volkorn rice, no parmesan, and the tagliatelle aglio olio was just disgusting, too much garlic, it just burned our mouths and wished to be over.

Tuvimos una gran comida en A Tavola mientras visitaba Amsterdam. Éramos seis. Nos ofrecieron focaccia casera con tapenade de olivo para empezar que era cálido y esponjoso. 3 de nosotros comimos los ravioles del día que se hizo con un relleno de alcachofa y burrata y una salsa de mantequilla y salvia - cielo absoluto. Mi pareja y cuñada tenían los Tagolini con langostinos y tinta de calamar y mi hermano tenía el pappardelle ragu especial - probé todos los platos y todos estaban muy bien hechos y deliciosos. Probamos tiramisú y panna cotta de postre - rico pero delicioso. Estaba ligeramente en el lado más caro, pero no me importa, ya que se podía decir que todo estaba hecho en casa y con amor y atención. Recomendaría 100%. Tuvimos un gran servicio también del amable caballero veneciano.

The food is really of excellent quality. The fresh pasta is flavorful. The meat tender. You don't leave hungry. The atmosphere is no-nonsense, but the service is friendly and attentive.

Tavola was a great find. The very friendly waiter greeted us with a smile on his face and made us feel very welcome. The food was very tasty, served in good quantity and quality. The place is very pleasant and well located. It's worth it.

Excellent and authentic Italian food. We had their antipasto which had a variety of cold and warm dishes. All of them really good. Then we had their ravioli of the day which were amazing. The fusilli with boar ragù were also fantastic. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a memorable authentic Italian meal in Amsterdam.

Zonder reservering om 19 uur binnen gelopen, er was plek. Vlotte vriendelijke bediening. Kaart is echt Italiaans en de gerechten zalig. Start met een proeverij, koude en later warme gerechtjes. Daarna lamsschenkel en saltimbocca, verrukkelijk. Heerlijke wijn erbij, koffie toe. Echt een aanrader

Risoto with truffle is amazing!

Excellent Italian food and wines. We loved the truffle risotto (so fragrant and al dente), the fish (so tasty and textured), the tiramisu (so smooth and balanced), the grappa (so balanced and smooth), and the attentive multilingual service. Feels like home, tastes like home, the kids loved it all. It took us decades to come back, we'll come sooner next time.

We didn't make a reservation, but we were still able to sit down. Not an extensive menu, but what we ordered was delicious! Very friendly and attentive service, and no long waiting times.

Good Italian restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine. We were less pleased with the aggressive attitude of the Sicilian waiter who had just returned from Mexico. He got angry a few times for no apparent reason, obviously because of his own issues, but it bothered us and it colored our evening. Not professional, not customer friendly and not acceptable. In any case, it wasn't the cook's fault!

We went there spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised! Great food, friendly, attentive service and an exceptional ambience!

We happened to be in the neighborhood, we're not completely hungry. So we ordered 3 small main dishes. The menu wasn't big and the wait was about 40 minutes. But in the end, all three dishes are perfectly cooked and very authentic and delicious.

We popped in here for lunch on a whim and ended up having the best Italian food we've ever had - and my mom dated an Italian for a few years lol. My partner and I dined at this restaurant in August. The location is in a very nice area full of atmosphere, and during the summer the best option is to dine outside, to enjoy the sun in the evening. We ordered the mixed bruschette, and then 2 first courses each - tagliatelle with lemon and ham totally recommended. Then, we shared a chocolate tart with melted heart with 2 vanilla ice cream scoops. We really enjoyed our meal and would like to come back!

Stumbled upon it by chance, confident in being able to eat well being Italian. Excessive waiting times: 30 minutes for a carpaccio and the same for two first courses. Good quality carpaccio; Good raw tagliatelle and lemon; just enough linguine with clams. Another negative note: €6.50 for a bottle of water.

We finally ate well in Amsterdam. The place is warm and welcoming, the staff friendly and kind. The Italian cuisine is excellent: I say it is absolutely the best. The linguine with clams is excellent, cooked al dente and well seasoned. The bruschetta starter was also tasty and well prepared. At the end we enjoyed a superlative "tiramisu" as tradition dictates. After days of Dutch cooking, it was really needed. Average prices. Must try. Well done.

All in all an enjoyable experience. 6.50 for acqua Panna Is definitely outrageous but the rest of the experience was enjoyable and the food was good. Please don't charge 6.50 for water.

Hidden culinary gem 100% Sicilian staff

On our visit to Amsterdam, we discovered A Tavola Restaurante, a perfect place to start the day. We enjoyed a delicious coffee that awakened our senses, accompanied by fresh and well prepared sandwiches. What really made our experience special was the lovely terrace where we sat for breakfast. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, ideal for enjoying a quiet morning in the city. A Tavola is definitely a place we would recommend for a nice breakfast in Amsterdam. We will definitely return!

Super smakelijk en vers eten. Gezellig maar wat dicht op elkaar op het terras. Bediening vriendelijk maar gehaast. Zonde. We moesten ook vragen om aandacht en hadden het gevoel dat we op een gegeven moment echt weg moesten. Jammer. Maar het eten is echt super!

Super tasty food, fresh ingredients, delicious wine recommended by the friendly waiter. However, atmosphere is not commensurate with the food quality. Terrace is close together. But that didn't bother us that much. However, the service was noticeably rushed and we had to ask for attention several times. One of the two waiters was very friendly. The other, an older man, seemed only concerned with finishing everything as quickly as possible. That's a shame. I would still go back because the food was really good. All in all, quite pricey for the total package.

Visitamos este restaurante y tuvimos una comida encantadora. Teníamos el tagliatelle con prosciutto en salsa de limón y estaba absolutamente delicioso. Para los postres tenía la tabla de quesos y mi pareja tenía la tarta de queso. Ambos muy agradable pero no hay galletas para el queso. Sin embargo, no estropeó nada. Tenía una botella encantadora de vino tinto para acompañarlo. El servicio era bueno con el tipo delgado alto siendo el más amable del personal.

Good food.Tasty dishes, but there were pieces of bone in the pasta Napoletana ragu and that is a shame. Friendly service, but a bit messy and clumsy. Nice terrace in a nice part of Amsterdam.

The taste of the food is good and I like that they don't have so much options. They have only one vegetarian option which I find not enough at all. We waited one hour and twenty minutes for our starters. The people on the table next to us came later and had there food before us and when I asked the waiter how this can be he just walked away. I understand if you are in a rush an when something needs time but at least I expect a sorry from the waiter and that I feel that they take me serious as a guest. The portions are very small but the taste is good. All in all I find it overrated but mainly because of the service who seems to be a bit unprofessional

We waited for 40 minutes for a cold starter to arrive and another 30 minutes for the main dish to arrive. Absolute insanity. Food portion was very small for the high price, go somewhere else if you want to not be hungry. Food taste itself was ok but nothing special.

Grosse déception que ce restaurant aux avis pourtant très positifs ! L'emplacement est certes agréable, juste en face de Schippersgracht. La salle, petite, est assez conviviale. Le service, de style local, est poli sans être particulièrement avenant. Le gros point noir est le rapport qualité-prix. D'une part, la cuisine est bien trop hétérogène, entre antipasti fort médiocres que l'on dirait sortis tout droit d'Albert Hein, et pâtes, elles, vraiment réussies. D'autre part, la carte, très restreinte, n'aide pas. Surtout, les quantités servies relèvent de la mesquinerie pure et simple. Compte tenu des tarifs pratiqués, le compte n'y est clairement pas ! Quant aux vins, ils sont corrects, sans plus. Bilan fort médiocre. Je ne recommande pas cette adresse.

Conclusion: I have been to many Italian restaurants and this is definitely the most overrated/overpriced of them all. We were $100 lighter and still hungry. - Service was quite rushed and surly. Little attention to the table. Took orders like she worked in a snack bar. - Portions are small. Plates are nicely laid out, but that is mainly a distraction. Taste was ok, nothing to really write home about. The awards on the door looked more fake with every additional bite I took. - The wine selection by the glass was very mediocre and tasted anything but really good, which is unusual for a place that boasts of being Italian. Enough Italian restaurants where you get more value for your money, so we will not return here again.

Let me start by saying that I almost never eat in Italian restaurants abroad, but this place with its intimate atmosphere intrigued us and dinner was a pleasant surprise. Delicious dishes, well prepared and very kind staff, in particular Alessio who served us with professionalism and friendliness. Congratulations, truly recommended.

La Novia y yo compartimos una Taglitelle con prosciutto y salsa de limón y una mozzarella con tomate y lechuga con balsámico. Focaccia fresca casera con pesto de rúcula y otra con tapenade de olivo. Ella tenía el cordero especial y yo tenía el pez Dorade (mahi mahi? ) todo lo que teníamos era maravilloso. Basta con ir, muy bien preparado. El servicio fue amable, divertido y mantuvo a Hingis en movimiento. La mejor comida hasta ahora en Amsterdam!

La cena è stata una vera sorpresa, piatti buonissimi e ben curati, servizio e staff ottimi, in particolare Alessio che ci ha servito con professionalità e simpatia. Complimenti, davvero consigliato.

A real winner for authentic Italian food. Small menu, but super tasty.

The ravioli was good, but the serving size was ridiculously small. This is also one of those places that "doesn't have tap water", so instead they charge you 6 euros for a fancy bottle of still. They are better places you can go and spend less money.

We had dinner here. It was extremely delicious authentic Italian food. Vegetarians can also visit here, and it's just as delicious. The service was also friendly and attentive.

I lovedd this place, from start to finish service was incredible, such a welcoming ambiance. Food was delicious and very fresh however it took a bit longer than expected but I did not mind the wait since it was so fresh. Honestly if you are craving some good italian food, this is the place to go. What a lovely experience I had at this place.

Delicious dinner last night with 4 people. Traditional Italian dishes prepared by real Italian chefs. The atmosphere in this restaurant was wonderfully casual and cozy. The service was truly Italian with super host Gino, nothing is too much for him and he knows his trade. Had a great evening, highly recommended by us!

We had a Great Stay!!! Server was really nice and fluent in Englisch. My wife wanted Pesto but It wasn’t in the menu but after asking and a quick check with the chef her dream became true. The food there was amazing! The service was so great, bringing the italian hospitality and sympathy. We had the special dishes of the day and the best one was the dourado with spices with red italian (of course) wine. All set by good people with well prepared meal.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. I've been coming here for 15 years. There are many good restaurants around, I've tried a lot. But A Tavola is the one I keep coming back to. Order Tutti A Tavola as a starter. The pasta's are fantastic. Great mains. Always great cheese as dessert.

Excellent food and excellent service. The pasta and fish of the day took me back to the shores of lake como. Fantastic quality and would thoroughly recommend the tiramisù for dessert.

I recommend, price, quality, nothing to complain about, we enjoyed ourselves. The staff is very kind.

Really authentic Italian, delicious!

Had dinner here with my family and can say it was definitively okay. The food wasn't bad, but the sauce on the truffle pasta was broken and very oily. The focaccia was very dry and crumbly, but the wine was good. The service was mediocre. Not good not bad. They got us a table but lost our reservation, and the staff was fairly apathetic. All in all not terrible, but also not worth the money in my opinion.
