Bella ciao Amsterdam in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Selv om menyen er på engelsk, forstod ikke servitøren hva vi bestilte. Med litt peking på menyen fikk vi det vi ønsket oss. Maten var i beste fall gjennomsnittlig god, men jeg tenderer til dårlig. Man får ikke glass å drikke fra. Brus og sider ble servert i flaske og øl i plastbeger.

Definitely not the best pizza place in Amsterdam. The pizzas were ok, but not traditional. Very average flavours. Their Carbonara pizza was so far removed from being anything to do with Carbonara. I don’t know why they call a pizza with ham, mushrooms, red onion and peppers a Carbonara pizza!? Plus my partner asked for it without mushrooms and it came covered in mushrooms because the waiter didn’t tell the chef. We were so hungry at the time he didn’t want to wait for another pizza to be cooked. Staff were friendly but service was slow despite only 6 patrons.

It's a great restaurant. I tasted the pizza with my friend. I felt like I was in Italy.

Tasty food, friendly and warm staff and a cozy little room. Pizza is big and cheesy, wonderful dough and nice toppings. Open very long so great to find some food in the night.

I think we went in with skewed expectations seeing the rave reviews but it ended up being just okay. Pizza was okay, noodles were a tad overcooked but the flavour was there. Kind staff

Very inconspicuous from the outside and really only a few tables inside. But the pizza is to die for. Really really good, juicy on the inside, well topped, the edge is already fluffy and crispy! (Made by ourselves of course) if we had found the restaurant early we would definitely have come here more often!!!! Can only be recommended.

The food was great! Really good taste of Music too… the only thing we have to critisize is the temperature in the Restaurant. They forgot to turn on the header on point.

Don't make the mistake of not entering so the place looks empty!!!! The food was delicious, the service was very good and the prices fair.

No more. The pasta was not al dente so a little overcooked and the bread was really too expensive. Nice portion otherwise.

The pizza was so amazing honestly tasted gorgeous, staff were so polite & friendly! also a cute kitten to accompany u while ur waiting (btw the wait time is so good we only waited like 10 mins) and also the staff do ask you if ur okay with the cat or want it taken upstairs so if ur not a cat person dont worry🤣

Absolutely amazing food. Nice little restaurant. Was very quiet when we went however had music on and had a peaceful evening. Had to take left overs home it was so good. Would definitely come again and recommend to everyone

Just had a meal there and I have to say, as a huge pizza fan who actually avoids stone ovens, I have to say that the pizza is the best in all of Amsterdam. Fluffy, large, super topped and absolutely delicious. The two guys who work there are also super nice and the place is small but nice. It's a shame I can't post any pictures

READ BEFORE YOU GO: First of all, this is hardly an actual restaurant, more of a fast food stand, with few tables, no cutlery and no glasses, yet the prices would suggest that you're eating gourmet pizza in the middle of Italy. And that is definitely not the case. Not only because this restaurant is, of course, in Amsterdam, but also because the pizza is anything but gourmet. The standard pizza is already small in its own right, but when you also add the incredibly thick crust, you're left with almost no topping. And the topping that is left is made up of cheap, rubbery cheese and 'prosciutto' that is in reality just regular smoked ham and probably constitutes false advertising. To be completely fair, the pizza is edible, just a big let down from what the reviews will have you believe. This restaurant probably deserves somewhere around 3 stars, but I'm giving it 1 in order to balance the rating a bit, because the amount of 5 star reviews is definitely suspicious.

Food was amazing and tasty. If you're into pasta, the funghi is the one to get. We also ordered the texas style chicken strips, and were pretty good. The only thing to point out I guess is the fact that the place doesn't have many tables, and they're all together, so it feels like you're eating with other people. Other than that, I recommend you check it out!

I recently visited this restaurant and really loved it! The food was simply fantastic. The pizza was perfectly baked, with a crispy base and plenty of toppings. The burger was juicy, well seasoned and made with fresh ingredients. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and cozy. DO NOT TRUST THE RATING HERE. The reviews must be bought - there is no other explanation. Honestly, one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. Completely bland, no flavor at all, it felt like eating nothing. They must be buying reviews and preying on tourists because any local would know to avoid this place. Don't let yourself get fooled like we did. Overpriced as well. Server was very nice. I'm sorry you have to work in such a place.

The pizza was like one from a cheap takeaway -quite greasy and lacks flavour - this isn't a proper Italian place. My gut instinct is that these reviews are being given by friends!! My order was taken, I asked for a soft drink & he dumped a can on the table and walked off, no cutlery offered either. Drinks prices are blacked out. The bill was so expensive for the low quality offered. So disappointing. I feel bad to have to write a negative review but this really was a let down after some nice meals in other local restaurants. Maybe ok for the end of the night crowd

The strips I recommend are very delicious with the sauce and the price is reasonable compared to many places. An experience worth repeating 👌🏻

We went for dinner, the first impression was not good, if it wasn't for the reviews we wouldn't go in. We ordered some burgers and they were very good, they seemed homemade. The boy was attentive even though there were tables full of crumbs. The tables were full of crumbs but overall pretty good, good value for money, I would return.

The staff is very kind and patient. The pizza crust is perfectly toasted and the portion of toppings is perfect. I also ordered a delicious specialty salad with fresh arugula, beets and other vegetables. Really nice food and fun atmosphere.

If you want to eat a good Italian pizza at a good price you have to stop by here. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice to eat delicious and cheap, in addition the schedule is very flexible, we arrived at 1 AM and the kitchen was open and the service was wonderful. The manager Osama was very friendly and always clarified all the questions about the food and its prices. A wonderful choice 🤤❤️

I recently dined at Bella Ciao and left extremely disappointed. The experience was underwhelming from start to finish. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, but unfortunately, 80% of it was inedible. The base was undercooked with raw dough, and the toppings were far from authentic. It seemed to be a beef substitute, which didn’t taste good either. Essentially, I was left with just the crust and some fries, which meant I left the restaurant still hungry and needing to find food elsewhere. To make matters worse, the dining atmosphere was uncomfortable. During our visit, a delivery was being made, so people were constantly walking past our table carrying boxes. This felt awkward and disrupted any chance of a pleasant meal. There was no cutlery provided, and the drinks menu was incredibly limited to just soda and Heineken so hardly an inspiring selection. Overall, the combination of poor food quality, lack of ambiance, and minimal service makes Bella Ciao a place I cannot recommend. It’s simply not worth a visit

Bella Ciao is a must-visit restaurant! My friend and I recently dined there, we ordered Milano burgers and they were fresh and super delicious. The portion of the burger was perfect and the toppings were perfectly balanced. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
