Amigo Grill Restaurant in Jordaan

The service was good and the waiter was really nice, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. We ordered the entrecôte special with fries and salad. The salad was awful, and some of the vegetables didn’t look particularly fresh. The fries were just average and could definitely have been better. The meat was the biggest disappointment. It was overcooked and completely lacked flavor, so I had to send it back. The second one was better, but still not what I would expect from an Argentinian grill. Overall, I would not come back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good meat. The service was pleasant, but the food simply wasn’t worth it.

€23 for a piece of steak and some frozen fries: way too expensive and we're still hungry.

I went there in 2018 during the winter and it was amazing, had the mixed platter with ribs, chicken, steak and sausage 8 years later I came back during the summer and it was also amazing, the server from Egypt was the best! Very friendly What bothered me was not the restaurant but how empty was and since I sat outsidd my meat arrived with smoke and smelling delicious and EVERYBODY was looking at it And I don't get it, if you like it so much why is it empty? Go spend some euros there instead of just looking and get around Amsterdam drinking crap, there's good food in the city but people just don't enjoy!

We spontaneously decided to try this restaurant and were initially a little unsure, as we were the only guests. This made us skeptical at first. However, based on the many positive reviews, we decided to stay – and it was well worth it. We ordered two meat dishes, one pasta dish, and one pizza. All the dishes were delicious: the meat was tender and well-seasoned, the pasta fresh and flavorful, and the pizza was also excellent. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food. The service was friendly and attentive. Even though the initial impression was a bit unusual, we can definitely recommend this restaurant.

We got 2 steaks between 5 people, both medium rare (1 was a little bit too rare, but they offered to cook it a little longer). Argentinian goulash was hearty, appetizers were good…loved the sausage. I came here today with my friend, the place had a warm cozy feel, the place felt welcoming as the server was very attentive, friendly and helpful. He seemed to really care about his job. He really made the experience feel comfortable and cared about our feelings. The food was incredible. Amazing place I would recommend to anyone !

For all the Zöllies be careful with the gluten free pizza. In our case it results in a horrorable Night of stomage.

I visited after seeing Google reviews. At first, I was worried because there weren't many customers, but a group of people came after us. I had a 60-euro set with beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and sausage (5 kinds), French fries, and salad. The meat was delicious and odorless! I sincerely recommend Koreans try the meat set here over Dutch home cooking. Seriously. The owner was so kind and attentive, I was so grateful. The food was nice, and Demian was so kind!

This is a great value Argentinean restaurant. I was worried about the meat smell, but it was completely fine, and the food was delicious. Demian's service was excellent, making the meal enjoyable and enjoyable. I would definitely come back again!

The food was good, the owner was nice, But no matter which restaurant you go to in Amsterdam, you shouldn't look behind the scenes. It's nothing like our standards when it comes to cleanliness. They're just more relaxed about it there.

Terrible experience. Dishonesty and complete lack of professionalism. My partner and I went to this restaurant on New Year’s Eve, with a confirmed reservation, and arrived about 10 minutes early. From the very beginning, the experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, a waitress told us that our reserved table was “about to be freed” and asked us to wait at a temporary table next to the entrance. We were told this would only be for a few minutes. However, she immediately started taking our order and bringing food, while repeatedly assuring us that we would be moved to our proper table shortly. Despite asking several times, we were never moved. The table we were left at was awful: right next to the door, with temperatures around 4°C, and the door constantly opening. Our food got cold, and I was literally freezing throughout the entire meal. What made the situation even worse was that another couple arrived around 30 minutes after us and was seated at a much better table at the back of the restaurant — clearly a table that could and should have been assigned to us, given that we had a reservation and arrived earlier. It became clear that we were lied to from the start and kept at that table so the staff wouldn’t have to deal with relocating us. After that, the waitress who initially handled the situation never returned, and another staff member had to take over. This completely ruined what should have been a special night. A shocking lack of honesty, accountability, and respect for customers — especially on New Year’s Eve and with a confirmed reservation. I would not recommend this place and will not be coming back.

I booked for December 31st in November. Upon checking on December 30th, it turned out the reservation hadn't been recorded. They did offer alternatives, but they were scheduled for the afternoon of December 31st. It was sloppy and a shame.

I booked in advance for Christmas Day and it was a complete success. The service was excellent and the quality of the meat was superb.

We were looking for something near the Anne Frank House and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. The mixed grill offer for two, advertised outside, was very good. A few vegetarian dishes were also available. Drinks were expensive – as is often the case in Amsterdam. Service wasn't outstanding, but acceptable. Overall, recommended.

An "Argentine" restaurant with an appealing menu. For €49 without drinks (water is €6) you can have a reasonably good lunch or dinner. What they DON'T tell you is that the sauce has a surcharge of just over €3. The service was friendly and the place was quiet.

Had a wonderful evening at Amigo Grill Restaurant, an Argentinian gem right in the heart of Amsterdam. The food was thoughtful and full of flavor the steak was tender, the soup comforting, and the fries perfectly crisp. The vegetables were also beautifully cooked, showing real attention to detail in every dish. A special mention goes to Demian, who made the experience even more enjoyable. He was charming, welcoming, and spoke with me in Arabic, which made the conversation feel friendly and familiar. It’s clear he genuinely cares that every guest has a great time. The overall atmosphere felt warm and inviting a perfect mix of good food, great service, and cozy dining. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re looking for authentic Argentine flavors and heartfelt hospitality in Amsterdam.

We stumbled across this place. One of the colleagues came out to speak to us about the menu. He was very welcoming. We wanted to see what else was around. After checking Google and noticing they had fantastic trip advisor reviews as well, we gave it go! The service was super, friendly, warm and welcoming. The vibe was just right as we weren’t looking for anything too ‘boojie’. We placed our drinks order and food order. He remembered all of it without writing anything down. I’m always impressed by this. A nice restaurant/bar. Would highly recommend. I know I do a good steak, but this was by far one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten! It came on a hot plate, so it stays warm. I would definitely recommend a steak from here. The Calzones were huge! Another great option! Absolutely delicious too. Thank you very much Demian. Great food. We had a platter for two, and it was perfectly sufficient for us (we like larger portions).
