What a fantastic evening we had here. The food was really incredibly tasty and the presentation looked well-cared for. The spareribs with those fresh pieces of red pepper were especially highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and cozy, partly due to the candles on the table. We had a wonderful time and will certainly come back for another meal.

In an area where many restaurants seem to cater primarily to tourists, St. George is a pleasant surprise. Excellent quality meat, friendly service, and genuine hospitality. The team visibly does its best to ensure guests have a wonderful evening and succeeds convincingly. The steaks were perfectly prepared, and the service was personal without being intrusive. A restaurant where price, quality, and guest experience are well balanced. Highly recommended and a reason for us to return.

A restaurant that cooks after 9 pm is a real miracle in Amsterdam, and I'm not talking about a tourist trap! I wasn't very hungry that evening, but I guarantee you the quality of the meat is worth the trip. It's pricey, though: €30 for 200g of meat as tender as butter. The sauces are homemade, and the service is friendly and welcoming—you might as well stop there for a great time.

The food is great and Matt is a great host

I felt ripped off when the waitress offered me bread without mentioning it was an appetizer. The iced tea was terribly bad; it tasted like it had been watered down. The pork ribs were good, as was the salmon. The chicken wasn't cooked and was sent back to the kitchen. The fries are frozen and very expensive, charged extra. The sauce is also an extra €4. In the end, the value for money is very poor, and I wouldn't recommend it. That said, the staff were smiling and friendly.

Positive: Good meat, fast and friendly service. Negative: Cheap, fake drinks sold at exorbitant prices, frozen fries, and everything is extra, even a measly industrial barbecue sauce for €4. Overpriced considering the very average quality.

We ordered the St. George steak medium and a ribeye medium rare, but both came out over/undercooked—the ribeye was closer to medium, and the St. George steak was rare. We asked for a remake, but one of the steaks was still off. To their credit, the chef came out personally to apologize and gave us ice cream, which we appreciated. Overall, the steak was good, but nothing too memorable. The service was solid, especially with how they handled the mistake, but for the price, I expected a bit more.

Very lovely staff who gave us free limoncello at the end of our meal. Quite expensive for what it was. I ordered the salmon, but it came on its own. Very well cooked but you have to order a side. Generally around the price we found in the city, especially near the centre. Worth the price for the service and chill vibes.

Delightfully honest. Genuine service; the chef loves his craft. The St. George steak is truly wonderfully tender, and the homemade Argentinian sauce is nice and spicy. You can have it milder or super hot upon request. No pretentious fuss here. Just delicious and made with love. In short: friendly service and tasty food.

St George Tapas completely blew me away. I honestly ate the best steak I’ve had in Western Europe here. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of rich flavor—every bite was spot on. You can really tell they care about quality and technique. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. For sure I will return to that amazing steak and those lovely people I don't want to try other places anymore It can't get better than this
