On May 26, my girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner at La Casona. From the service and friendliness to the food and live music, everything was top-notch. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and highly recommend it!

we came here in the evening to eat and were met with such warmth and hospitality. the waitors were really attentive and recommended some things. we spent a very very nice evening and both had the bbq spare ribs and i also had the chocolate mousse as dessert. 10/10 would recommend!!

We were 2 guests, we went around 7:00pm and it was pleasent as it was not so crowded. The service was great, everyone was very kind and always checking to see if we needed anything and if we were having a good time. The food is truly delicious, we ordered a carpaccio and a meat empanada for starters and then Bife de Chorizo with fries and chimichurri for the main course. Every single plate was really tasty, well made. The portions are okay for the price. But in general, very good.

The female staff are very kind and helpful. We thank the employee whose name we don't know but who was very polite. I wish I could say the same for the male waiter. He was rude to both customers and his colleagues. The rib-eye steak was good. The soup could have been better.

My husband’s meat dish was tasty, but the meat soup I ordered contained only 4 tiny cubes of meat, each around half a centimeter in size. We also had an unpleasant experience with one of the male staff members. Before sitting down, we specifically asked whether there was availability, and we were told there was. However, while we were ordering, the same employee came to us and said, “If someone with a reservation arrives, I will ask you to leave your table.” This was quite surprising, especially since there were still 6–7 empty tables at the time. The female staff later reassured us that there was actually no problem, but unfortunately the situation had already affected our experience and we could not enjoy our meal comfortably. The male employee’s attitude was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, not only towards customers but also towards the other staff members.

I’m very picky about my beef and finally I found a place in Amsterdam which has amazing steaks. The pianist only made the dinner 10x better. I’m definitely coming here next time I’m in town

The Argentinian steakhouse has both indoor and sunroom areas. The meat quality was decent, but the cooking was a bit too rough. I think their fire was a bit too high, resulting in quite a few charred parts on the bottom of the meat. This made the meat taste bitter. Since it's a proper restaurant, the quality should be different from street barbecue stalls, right?

Absolutely fantastic. Good food, pleasant staff, a cozy atmosphere, opens later than a lot of restaurants around it, and right near public transport. Now, I will say I went in quite late - so there wasn’t a lot of people. So others milage may vary, depending on time of day or business. But I think this place is great. 5/5 from me.

Excellent service, atmosphere and the food is incredibly good!

Not only is the meat excellent, the service is top-notch. For those who don't speak fluent English, two beautiful young women, a lovely French woman from Montpellier and a beautiful Belgian woman, welcome you with a wonderful smile and friendliness. An address to remember, with affordable prices, not to mention the pianist who creates a very pleasant atmosphere.

As an Argentinian, I highly recommend this place. The cuts of meat were cooked to perfection. I also ordered some fried empanadas as an appetizer, which were truly delicious. The service made me feel right at home. I would definitely choose this place again if I return on vacation here.

Highly recommended!! A very nice place and especially beautiful. We had the bife de lomo and it tasted delicious. We also recommend the tapas as a starter; lots of variety, exactly what we were in the mood for! The service was also excellent; all our questions were answered, and if they didn't know the answer, the manager was fetched and everything was explained carefully. If you want to arrive at a quiet time, it is better to come before 6:00 PM.

We ordered the mixed grill for three people. The menu clearly stated that it comes with fries and salad included in the price, but we were charged extra for three portions of fries. When we asked what meat was included in the mixed grill, the explanation we received was very confusing and unclear. It was not properly explained what meats were part of the dish. The meat itself was very dry and seemed to be covered in sauce, especially the ribs, which felt like it was done to hide the fact that the meat was dry and not fresh. By charging us extra for something that was supposed to be included, it made us feel like they were just trying to take as much money from us as possible. I understand that this is a very touristy area, but that is not how you treat tourists who are ordering one of the most expensive dishes on your menu.

Great atmosphere, tender authentic Argentinian meat, and extremely friendly staff! Also quite cheap for today's prices. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for a good meal. We will definitely be back!

Typical tourist trap. 100£ tor 3 people grill mix (which I'm pretty sure it was for 2) 1 sausage divided by 3 is ridiculous., in the menu clearly says the fries are included but then they charge you for it. Quality of the food is "meh" To stay away from

We were really excited based on the reviews! We left quite disappointed by this experience. From the very beginning of the meal, the waitress was incredibly pushy: we simply asked for still water and she suggested sparkling water. In the end, we were charged €7 for a bottle of water when we only wanted a carafe. The baked potato served with the salmon was tasteless, boiled, and wrapped in foil. The salmon was small and surrounded by its own cooking liquid, not very appetizing. The sauces were basic and excessive. I found the meal tedious because the staff were too intrusive and their behavior wasn't very natural. The quality wasn't there, and the bill was rather steep.

We had a wonderful meal here. We started with toasted garlic bread, which was delicious. Afterwards, we had spare ribs and chicken skewers, with fries, a baked potato, and a fresh salad. For dessert, we shared chocolate profiteroles and a scoop of ice cream. Alex was our host and was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Super disappointing experience. They offer free shots for proof of a 5 star reviews before customers leave. Unfortunately, I picked this place because of the high google ratings but quickly realized it was a scam. When I asked for the check, my waiter said she’d get it but instead spent the next 10 minutes straight with a table next to me, guiding them through the google review process, giving them shots, providing their check and clearing their table. I politely asked for it again while she was clearing the empty table (while other tables in the restaurant were also empty), and she got upset and asked me what the rush was. Food quality was average. Not bad, but not 4.6 good. The biggest disappointment was the service. It took 45 minutes to get the food after I ordered and getting the check was an ordeal. Them buying 5 star reviews with free shots left a bitter taste. Would not recommend this place.

We had a great experience for dinner tonight at La Casona. We were the party of six and absolutely enjoyed our meals and Argentinian wine. We would recommend this place without any hesitation.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you what it was like here. I made a reservation through The Fork to redeem my points, and just before I was supposed to go, the restaurant canceled without giving a reason. Never happened before. Luckily, I found another restaurant in time. Based on the response. If it had been fully booked, shouldn't my request have been rejected immediately? I personally think it's very bad when a restaurant does that after the fact. I'm willing to try again and will possibly adjust my review based on my experience.

We received a very warm welcome and had a good table. The meat empanadas were better than the vegetable ones. The rib-eye was cooked perfectly but just lukewarm when it arrived. The chimichurri sauce recommended by the waitress went very well with the meat.

The service was initially good with taking drinks and food order but deteriorated after that. We ordered chips and guacamole and they brought out some version of Nachos. The chips were burnt to a crisp and the little guacamole they gave us was brown. I couldn’t believe our waitress served it. Then we slowly realized they had forgotten our dinner order when two tables they sat after us received their entrees. When we finally tried to get our waitresses attention I think she realized our food hadn’t been delivered and said sorry your food should be out shortly. The entrees arrived about ten minutes after and the chicken skewers were a child’s portion and the complimentary salad was essentially iceberg lettuce with a little oil. I waited about 70 minutes for some skewers and salad on a non busy Wednesday night. Then I watched our waitress go to the table next to me and say she would give them free shots if they gave the restaurant a good Google review. I quickly realized why they had a 4.6 on Google. The waitress offered me the same deal and I asked for the check. She said she’d be right back. She returned to the other table, paid their bill and then walked away. I sat another 10 minutes before she returned to bus my table instead of closing out my tab like I politely asked. I again asked if I could pay the bill and she said “what are you in a rush to go?”….I had to convince her that this was my last day in Amsterdam and had some last minute exploring to do before leaving. Then I look at the receipt and they charged 7 euro for a bottle of water and 3.50 for sauce. This is a trap for tourists and they bribe them with crappy shots to write positive reviews.

The food was genuinely good. The kitchen absolutely deserves 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service experience completely overshadowed it. A new member of staff spilled five bottles of beer, and the entire contents ended up on my coat and hoodie. Both were completely soaked. We were told they would clean the jacket, but it came back still wet and smelling strongly of beer. Nothing had really been resolved. Aside from multiple verbal apologies, the only compensation offered was one very small shot. There was no discount on the bill, which was honestly shocking given the situation and the damage caused (especially since I’ll have to take the jacket to the cleaning). Mistakes happen, especially with new staff - and that’s understandable. But how a restaurant handles those mistakes matters. In this case, the response did not match the scale of the incident. Such a shame, because the food truly was good

I found this Argentine beef restaurant on Utrechtstraat. It was even better than I expected! 😋 It took a while for my main course to arrive after I ordered, but the live piano music and the friendly faces of the staff were fantastic. 😄 More than anything, the meat was juicy and delicious. I checked the reviews before going and saw that the salt and pepper were a bit light, so I was able to use the salt and pepper on the table to customize my meal to my liking, which was very satisfying. 😋 It's pretty reasonably priced, so I think I'll come here again if I'm craving meat. 👍

The steak was incredibly tender. I asked for medium rare, but it came undercooked. They realized I didn't like it while I was eating it and said they could cook it again, which I did. They were really attentive. The main restaurant is very small, although every place in Amsterdam is like that, small and cramped.

This place is a tourist trap. It presents itself as an Argentinian restaurant, but the reality is that it has nothing to do with authentic Argentinian cuisine: not in flavors, techniques, or ingredient quality. The prices are excessively high for what they offer, clearly designed for those unfamiliar with real Argentinian food who are swayed by the name or the decor. The portions are small and the dishes lack character; even cuts of meat that should be standouts arrive tasteless and poorly prepared. Everything seems designed more for appearances than for actual cooking. If you're looking for a true Argentinian experience—a good asado, honest flavors, and quality—this isn't the place. There are much better and more authentic options without feeling cheated.

A very pleasant place with a welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good (amazing ribeye steak and a large, delicious hamburger), but the best thing about the place is the service. I felt right at home (I'm Argentinian) or like when you're visiting a distant relative and they're constantly trying to make sure you have a wonderful time. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Amsterdam. Special mention goes to Alex, our waiter, and the manager (but everyone checked if we were okay).
