Our first visit was 10 years ago and we loved this restaurant! We arrived in Amsterdam yesterday and searched for 2 hours to find the place. (Neither of us could remember where it was LOL) Did not disappoint. Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere. Thanks sssooo much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤠

We had dinner here last night. Decided to eat inside. Trying to get away from all the smoking outside. The food and the service were great!!! Our waitress was very patient with us while we figured out the menu!!! The wine and the food were delicious 🤤!!! Besides tasting great there was enough to feed two more people. The meat was cooked to the perfect temperature. We would go back. The inside is dated and the speaker for the music was terrible. So crackling. We asked to have it turned down and they did.

While the service was good, the food was overly spiced and not prepared in the Argentinian style. I wouldn't recommend it as a place for Argentinian food.

A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE THAT RUINED OUR F1 WEEKEND I rarely leave reviews like this, but what happened after our dinner at Formosa Argentina was serious enough that I feel other tourists should know about our experience. My wife and I ate here on Saturday evening during our trip to Amsterdam for the Formula 1 weekend. Later that evening, my wife became extremely ill. She started vomiting, and during the night her condition deteriorated dramatically, with repeated vomiting and diarrhea. At one point she was vomiting roughly every 15 minutes and could not even keep small sips of water down. We strongly suspect food poisoning connected to our meal here because of the timing and severity of the symptoms. By early morning, instead of preparing for the F1 race that was the entire reason for our trip to Amsterdam, I was desperately trying to find medical assistance for my wife. We ultimately had to seek urgent medical care. The consequences went far beyond one unpleasant meal. We spent the night dealing with a frightening health situation, lost the following day of our holiday, and most painfully, missed the Formula 1 Sunday race that we had travelled to the Netherlands specifically to attend. Tickets, flights, hotel, months of planning — and the main event of our trip was gone. Of course, I cannot medically prove which individual food item caused the illness, so I am describing exactly what happened and allowing others to draw their own conclusions. But I know that we ate here, my wife became severely ill only hours later, and the rest of our trip was effectively ruined. I would never take that risk again, and after what we experienced, I certainly cannot recommend this restaurant to other travellers.

Disclaimer .. l am not paid by anyone least of all St Morris. Just an honest opinion. I tried at both restaurant.. this n St Morris Argentina .. ordered the same .. a tenderlion n ribeye. My honest opinion St Morris have better quality of meat .. but both sucks at their sauces (don't order them ..use salt n pepper better) I am not particularly favouring St Morris (another story) but the fact is the fact ...their meat l felt is really better.

The food was acceptable value for money considering the prices and quality in the area, although it's still very expensive (€6 for a small bottle of water and €34 for a steak), but at least it was tasty.

The wine is excellent, the garlic sauce is legendary (love it), and the meat gets a 4.5 rating (could be tastier) but is still very good. You should use this one instead of the other garlic sauce. Provided it's not too expensive, of course :) Just a suggestion.

We had an amazing experience at Formosa! The steaks were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. It was my girlfriend’s birthday, and the staff surprised her with a complimentary ice cream dessert, which was such a thoughtful and lovely gesture. It really made our evening even more special. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

The staff are really friendly and the food is delicious. Everyone recommended the ribeye, so I ordered that, and it was moist and the best! It was my first time trying the empanada, and it was just okay... I recommend the chimichurri sauce; it's refreshing and tasty.

The steak was decent. Overall, the food was simple, but pricey. I didn't get any Argentine vibes; there weren't any Argentines there.

We had chicken bruschetta, very well made, similar to the Argentinian version. A generous portion, served with salad and either fries or baked potatoes.
