We all know and enjoy the empañadas in Baires but the tasty pastries, good coffee and amazing service also need to be mentioned!

Idk it can be me but I think its a bit weird to pay for the toilet if you are already picking up a order.

Questo locale non è solo un ristorante, ma un'autentica esperienza argentina curata nei minimi dettagli. Il punto forte sono indubbiamente le empanadas, preparate secondo la tradizione argentina. La vetrina espone una varietà impressionante di ripieni, dalla classica "Criolla" alla sofisticata "La Porteña", ognuna preparata con maestria e autenticità. La pasta è perfetta: dorata, croccante all'esterno e morbida all'interno. L'ambiente è stato progettato con un'attenzione particolare: le pareti gialle calde, la grande mappa dell'Argentina, e i dettagli come le antiche sifone di seltz e la bandiera albiceleste creano un'atmosfera che trasuda nostalgia e cultura argentina. Le mensole in legno decorate con foto di paesaggi argentini e le bottiglie di mate completano perfettamente l'arredamento. Il menu è ben strutturato e include anche una sezione di pastelería con delizie come medialunas e alfajores. I prezzi sono più che ragionevoli per la qualità offerta, con empanadas singole a €4 e convenienti combo che includono bevande. Un dettaglio che ho particolarmente apprezzato è il poster educativo "El mate argentino" che mostra il rituale del mate, simbolo della convivialità argentina. Il personale è chiaramente appassionato e orgoglioso di condividere la propria cultura gastronomica. Che siate amanti della cucina sudamericana o semplicemente alla ricerca di un'esperienza gastronomica autentica e diversa, Baires è una tappa obbligata. È uno di quei posti che ti fa dimenticare di essere ad Amsterdam, trasportandoti direttamente nelle vie di Buenos Aires, anche solo per il tempo di un'empanada. Really cute empanada restaurant! The empanadas are delicious and they have many choices. They also have a meal deal where you get one of their unique sodas Included with their empanadas! The place itself has a very pretty and cozy interior and the staff is friendly. Will definitely come back to try some of their other flavours.

The place is quite small but cozy. The taste of the empanadas are really good. Good atmosphere. Warm service, friendly staff. I recommend to take cortado, is really good. If you go, sit outside and enjoy the sun. The only downside (for me) is that infront there is a small playground area for kids, in the weekends it can be full of those creatures haha 😂. Even tho is quite entertaining

Delicious Argentinean empanadas! Really tasty.

I visited this wonderful place in 2016. It’s still vivid in my memory the delicious empanadas we ate there. The crust, filling, and spices of authentic Argentinian empanadas. A real treat! The coffee was very good too. Excellent service. As an Argentinian I was very happy to find this place while vacationing in Amsterdam.

If you are in Amsterdam you have to visit them! A beautiful place and spectacular empanadas and croissants!!! Aldana's excellent service👌 I totally recommend it, I'm sure you'll love it!

Great Empanadas place! Really delicious & wide choice. You can have it warm or cold (to preheat at home). Also nice selection of drinks, including Argentinian sodas & beers. Outside tables available. Staff speaks Dutch, English, Spanish.

Food is ok but service, man, how hard is it to be slightly happy to see people. This girls behind the counter seemed annoyed to have people come in. Seriously, ruins the experience. Just act normal and that would be sufficient! I’ll think twice before coming back

The best empanadas I’ve tried in Amsterdam! Unfortunately I ordered again today (I order quite often) and I believe they changed the dough or I had a bad batch 🫠 if it changed, I definitely prefer the old one, please bring it back 🥲

Empanadas are pretty small but very delicious (as an argentine I definitely approve), the chocotorta… this time was old, it had the taste of too much time inside the fridge. I was disappointed about it because I was bringing my expat boyfriend for the first time and wanted to show him the chocotorta…

Excellent Argentinian place in Amsterdam. We tried the empanadas and also the croissants and everything was a delight that made us feel at home. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

The person who is working at the cafe was very friendly and flexible (?). The Empanadas were also all nice. Mate tea, too. They made me more curious and wanna visit Argentina :D haha

Demasiado caro y las empanadas no son muy bien tampoco. The place is not clean (dirty windows) , the service unintrested and the smell inside not good. Only the coffee was okay... Would not reccomend this place. It's sad and expensive.

Amazing attention and gourmet empanadas. Medialunas were awesome too, reminded me of old coffee houses in Buenos Aires. Thank you for bringing a little piece of our cuisine here <3

The empanadas are big, there's a lot of different flavours, and a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. I did miss some more traditional flavours though, like Jamon y queso (ham & cheese) or normal minced mit (empanada de carne). Alfajores de maicena, big, very tasty, good price, I recommend them They sell Dulce de Leche, also very good, and a good price Medialunas, with dulce de leche and normal one. Both were very good The staff speaks English and Spanish. Not Dutch Very kind You can eat at the place. Big variety of sweet desserts You can pay cash or card

I came here for solo casual lunch with a plan of eating two empanadas. They were so good that I ended up eating four (!). I did try two of meat ones, one fish filled and the vegetarian option. All were very good, Paternal and Barracas being my favorite ones. The service is friendly and welcoming. I can’t complain about anything, good value for money, you won’t leave hungry and broke 😉

I enjoyed their empanadas as well as their breakfast. It is a nicely located shop. They offer both dine in and take away. Empanadas are good, although many of them are too spicy (coriander is not my cup of tea, but it's also my taste, and not all of them have it).

Empanadas deliciosas, ótimas massas finas. Várias opções com alguma carne e também vegetarianas/veganas. Mais recheio que massa com certeza.Tem uma com tâmara realmente interessante. Gostei da identificação na massa, as iniciais do tipo escolhido, bem bolado! E o combo com 3 empanadas e uma bebida saiu 1,1,5 euros

Wil je empanadas als lunch bij Baires, om af te halen voor een Argentijns diner thuis, óf wil je even bij hen op het terras chillen met een echte alfajor of maté, bij Baires krijg je steeds even het gevoel in een hippe wijk van Buenos Aires te zijn. En de potjes dulce de leche die ze verkopen zijn ook heerlijk. Perfect bij een croissant, brood of desserts. Een must have om het Argentinië gevoel in huis te halen!

Мне не понравились их пирожки ...Похоже на нашу Самсу, но начинка не вкусная... Брала пирожок с курятиной, и кроме лука ,перца ( паприка)и какой то жидкой субстанции ничего там не обнаружила(((

Great place for a coffee and to sit and relax.

Very delicious empanadas, great varieties meat, fish, cheese, vegetarian. The empanada is full, very satisfying, and rich with contents. There is a bench outside the shop if you want to sit and eat. Best to order: Monserrat, la humita, san telmo.

Really nice take out place with a few seats indoors and outside. When asked they’ll heat it up for you. Also love how all empanadas are marked with letters, so when you buy a selection you still know which one you are eating.

I used to go to this place regularly and the service was always lovely! Today, I went there again there were different workers. Unfortunately, the service has changed. When I was there, I was the only customer that time. My empanada was burnt. When I was ask for a glass for the sink, they told me they do not do that today. Even though I was the only customer that time, the sink was running and there were clean glasses. Normally, they always have glasses near to sink. Overall, It was a lovely cute place to stop by for me. But apperantly the service is not the same anymore.

A great choice for a delicious snack break around the area. The empanadas are good. Some are ok (pork and fish). Some better such as the lamb and chicken ones. The best is the one with old cheese! Don’t miss out!

The food was kinda mid. It was only croissants with different elements in them. And the sause in the croissants is just paste.

Heerlijke empanadas om thuis op te warmen in de oven gekocht in de vestiging van Bairas aan de Linnaeusstraat! Perfecte korst, goed ruim gevuld met heerlijk op smaak gemaakte vulling! Keuze uit tal van vullingen, vlees, via en vegetarisch! Alsof ik weer in Buenos Aires was!!!

Los productos son de excelente calidad, el lugar es super calido, el personal es super amable (la mayoría argentinos) y encontras toda clase de productos argentinos, desde alfajores, hasta mates y medialunas. Super recomendable! No se lo pierdan!
