Beautiful restaurant, very good food! Great experience!

Very Disappointing Experience Not Coming Back I recently visited this restaurant and ordered lamb chops. What I received first was completely burnt and overcooked, so I returned it. They brought it back again this time practically raw and uncooked, as you can see in the photos. The service was equally frustrating. I had to ask multiple times for basic things, and the staff, especially the girl with glasses and the other waiter, didn’t offer any explanation or apology. This used to be one of my favorite places the last time I visited, it was a great experience. But this time the food was unacceptable, and the service was even worse. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

We tried the empanadas, the Milanese Napolitana, and the asado. Everything was delicious! 100% Argentine flavors. Ramiro, the chef, is a genius. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nice Argentinian restaurant with very good quality meat. The tenderloin was very good, tasted so good that a sauce was not even needed. Argentinian sausages were also very tasty. The restaurant is in a little less busy area of town but still easy to get to. There are a few tables outside for the guests. Make a reservation on time if you'd like to sit outside. Friendly staff and a lot of pictures of Argentinian celebrities are placed on the walls. All in all, a nice little cosy restaurant with great food

Everything was amazing. From the food to service to the pricing. There was a man with an accordion who began to play in the booth next to us and his friend sang. Beautiful and unexpected. Definitely recommend!

A very cozy little restaurant. The food is delicious, and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. Side dishes like rice salad or fries must be ordered separately to prevent waste. I think the price for a small bowl of fries is a bit steep (5 euros).

Cannelloni is extremely overpriced for portion size, and the Roquefort sauce is too salty. Recently the waiters struggle with English a lot and orders get often misunderstood. Food quality is still good though overall. Aperol is 14€ which is also too high

With the main menu you still have to order fries or vegetables. Meat is very tasty.

Friendly staff who aren't above having a good laugh. Like everywhere else in the city, it's cramped, and a bit more cleanliness would do the place good. Make sure to make a reservation in advance, otherwise there's no room. The food is delicious, and the beers pair perfectly with the menu. Small place - big experience.

We came here after a disappointing experience at a nearby restaurant, and I’m so glad we did! The staff was kind and attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious.

Food and wines were good, but a bit pricey

Update- Back after years and great again. Highly recommended for steaks. Absolutely the best steak in town. The service is also amazing. The staff were so helpful with my baby and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Finally, the music is amazing! I'd go here again for the food though. Yum!

Food and atmosphere were decent, although the steaks weren't anything to blow your mind but the service was unbelievably slow. Pleasant but slooow. We waited for everything for ages while people that had walked in after us were getting served much quicker. Disappointing for a place that isn't cheap in and out of itself.

I come back whenever I can because it's spectacular. Perfect for feeling at home and eating good meat.

Generally not refined and poor food quality, undercooked meat, and more problematically very rude and lackluster customer service. It’s baffling to see the previous ratings but if you are looking for a quality meal this is not it.

A suuuuper 10!!! They knew it was my birthday and brought out my dessert with a sparkler, and the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to me!!! Besides, the food was delicious, the meats all cooked to the exact point everyone ordered. In short, it was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back when I go again!!

A culinary delight! Steak, fries, grilled vegetables, Argentinian red wine, and grappa rounded out my feast.

When we are in Amsterdam, a visit to Luna is a must. Very nice and friendly service. Wonderful wine and very good food. The tiramisu was delicious. We can only recommend it. See you soon.

Made a reservation days in advance. Was turned away by a very rude waiter who offered little to no valid explanation. Really unheard of.

I never leave bad reviews but this was such horrible service that I had to. We made a reservation days in advance before coming, (on April 26 for May 3). We had confirmation and email proof for our reservation but because it didn’t register in your system, we were refused with the excuse that the free tables were booked out. Kicked out of the restaurant at 8:30pm leaving us with no time to seek out dinner at another restaurant. The staff handled this mistake terribly, rudely, and did nothing to help or accommodate us despite there being free tables at our arrival, which was punctual. We were first accused of booking another restaurant and even after proving that we deserved our place in the restaurant as much as any other reservation, sent away with a card for the address of Luna’s second location. Disgraceful and disappointing

Incomparable steak. I recommend taking the grill mix. It's also very tasty. There are always a lot of people here, it's better to make a reservation

Very good little restaurant! We only tasted the starters and desserts, and everything was delicious. As there were no more seats available in the dining room, we dined on the terrace where we were kindly offered a blanket for greater comfort. The wait was a little longer on the terrace, but that in no way spoiled the good time we had. A great experience that I recommend!

Amazing place, about a 20 minute walk away from the centre but worth it. Both mains we had were so good the Argentinian steak was so delicious and the ribs were falling off the bone!

This is an excellent place that really brings you to Argentina while you are there! The beef (Uruguayo though) was excellent and perfectly prepared! Enjoyed it very much!!

A very small, quaint restaurant. Depending on where you sit, it's more or less comfortable, but the real highlight is the food. Empanadas are absolutely amazing. The meat skewer was also excellent. One would have liked a little more meat. You should probably definitely order the steaks. These looked fantastic. Be sure to reserve. No chance on a cold Monday in March without an order

It’s perhaps the best place to have steak in the Jordaan area, Cafe Carbon being a close competitor but to me Luna is better with the more airy atmosphere and the genuine Argentinian vibe. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium, and even if it was overcooked I would still love it, with this quality of meats you can’t go wrong. The charcoal and iron cooking is key in taste. In the end you get the juiciest, softest and tastiest ribeye you could imagine. Even the fatty spots in the ribeye were soft and easy to chew, which is a key detail I watch out for. It is pricy, but not specific to Luna though. Too bad steak prices skyrocketed in recent years, which reflects to all steakhouse menus.

All high quality meat. Excellent service. We were a little cold. But otherwise recommended if you are a meat lover.

The steak was good but it was a bit overcooked, we asked for median raw but it was more medium, so it was a bit dry . The starter soup was good but it was very small portion like kids portion.

My friend and I ate here and had a wonderful experience. We just walked in off the street and were sat immediately. The waitress helped us with the menu and everything was super delicious. Would definitely go again.

a bit overpriced considering all steaks werent really cooked as we asked and the meat doesnt come with anything included, like roasted potatoes or veggies. Next to the meat there is literally 2 tomatoes. I am fine with paying 38 euros a steak, but needs to be cooked to perfection and veggies should be part of the course. They forgot the dish of a friend and they started cooking it while anybody else was already eating. This is fine, cause a mistake can be made, we were 8, ordered a lot of things and something can go missing. But the way the mistake was fixed by the chef was kind of insulting. The missing dish arrived after 10 minutes (strange cause we had asked for the meat to be medium) and, in fact, it was completely row inside. it was wayyyy more row than the steak of the guy that had asked his meat to be medium row. A mistake in the order can happen, but then you should inform your client how long is going to take to cook it to medium, offer something while she waits, cook it properly and make the wait worth it! Serving row meat to fix a mistake was the worst mistake they did. There's better steakhouses than this in Jordaan.

Great experience, unmatched Argentinian atmosphere. Nice cozy restaurant offering a variety of wines and delicious meat cuts. Try to stay true to the restaurant and go for a Quilmes beer or a wine from Mendoza and a get yourself a “Parrillada” you could finish it up with a flan or a “pastel de corazón de chocolate”

We ordered a medium rare steak and a pincho that included 4 cuts of different meat. We ended up receiving a medium well steak and a 3 cut pincho (they brought the 4th one when we asked for it and was cold). Taste was very average, as well as service. Waitress didn’t know the answer for any of our questions about the food. Nice atmosphere though, specially if you seat outside.

Excellent food. I suggest the 4 cuts platter from the different countries. Only downfall was how busy it was but how can you blame them definitely need a reservation for dinner. One of the best spots for meat in amsterdam!

Me and my partner first came here a couple of months ago. The service was a bit slow, but they were quite busy. We loved it, so much that we came back the next day again! Then we visited again yesterday, and we can safely say that we will never return here. We arrived and asked for a table for two. They were fully, but not busy, and had more staff on than last time. The only place they had was a table perched right next to someone’s steps to their house and drainage alongside it. The table was also super sticky, and whilst normally we would ask staff to wipe it down, the staff were so inattentive (want to be clear they were NOT busy, just inattentive) that this probably would have taken another half an hour from our evening. Knowing we love their steak, we accepted it and waited. We ordered at around 08:45, two steaks (medium) and two beers. The beers took about 20 minutes to arrive! We didn’t complain, we knew we would love the steaks… …eventually a better table became available as some people left, so we asked to move there and they said we could. They cleared the glasses, but, revealing why the tables are sticky, they didn’t wipe it down. The next time staff came near to us was to bring us our steaks. This was 40 minutes after ordering! 40 minutes to bring us two EXTREMELY rare steaks when we ordered medium (rare takes a few minutes, not 40, and is wrong anyway). Both steaks were disgusting. Mooing on the plate and tasteless. We asked them if they could cook the steaks a little longer as they were not medium. We asked that they just cook the same ones longer, as we had already been there for over an hour and were starving. They agreed, and then came back 20 minutes later with two new steaks and fresh fries. These steaks were medium in one part and extremely rare in other parts, they were also two of the worst cuts of meat I had ever seen, and laced with over seasoning and salt so much that it ruined the taste of the meat and sauce. It was disgusting, bad quality meat, badly cooked and badly seasoned. My partner managed to finish his, but I had to leave half of mine (even inedible for my partner!). Also, how does a chef take 40 minutes to send out two rare steaks, and then 15 minutes to send our (part)-medium ones?! 🤔). At no point did they ask how the food was, even after the 2nd steak. Given the prices (€100 when it felt like it was worth about €20) we waited with our meal finished for about another 30 minutes and since the staff were so careless and inattentive, we had to ask for the bill before our table was even clear or else sit in the restaurant until midnight. I have honestly never seen worse service in terms of checking on customers and cleanliness and speed/efficiency anywhere in the world. It was really inattentive, and we could see that they had enough staff and were not busy… …The bill didn’t arrive for another 15 minutes so we asked a different member of staff who laughed and said “he’s probably getting it”. 5 minutes later he came with the bill, laughing that he had forgotten it and then told us we need to go inside to pay 🤦🏼‍♂️ (maybe say that when we ask for the bill…). My partner paid and bit his lip about the awful experience because we were both so internally raging that we didn’t want to ‘open the floodgates’ (I could have thrown my plate at them!). He thanked the waiter at the end, but the waiter did not even look up at him or acknowledge him. We have had two amazing steaks at this restaurant, and then yesterday one of the worst steaks ever. We could have given it another go, however the reason we will never come back here, is because the staff are totally useless at their jobs (which I’ve done myself), lack basic manners or customer service skills, don’t keep the tables clean, are slow, ungrateful to customers who are polite to them and seem to not have any respect or appreciation for your (repeat) business at all. This was the first time ever in my life that I haven’t tipped. We will never go here again and would discourage others too. They made a bad experience, worse, not better.

Authentically Argentine place where you eat good meat and the service is excellent, they also have good wines. For the price they have, the dishes could come with garnishes and the music could be tango or something more classic than cumbia for dinner. We will still return!

I ordered a medium rare steak but ended up with a medium well steak. Sent back the order and requested for a medium rare / medium like my friends but got a rare steak instead. This is without so much as an apology although they did promptly replace my steak. Would expect better service. Also, the steak and sauce were extremely extremely salty. Safe to say will not be patronizing again.

An excellent place to eat in Amsterdam, the best Argentine meat and, especially, the service and attention of Javi the griller. A man from Madrid who undoubtedly made us enjoy a unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience. A very strong hug from the 3 Cadizians who were there at the beginning of June.

Tried the fillet and the mixed grill. The meat is excellent! The fries are also good. We were a little cramped because the place is small, but the staff were very friendly. The cost is a little high but you pay for the quality.

Food was pretty good but felt bad for the staff as they seemed short and busy. The waitors did a fantastic job and tried their hardest to keep everyone happy and we were. Dessert was also nice but well done to the staff tonight.
