Place and food ok. Nothing spectacular and honestly my expectations were higher also towards the flavor of the meat.

A great meal, one of my favourite places. Just a ten minute walk out of the busy core - worth it!

Hello Argentina! I arrived without a reservation but they still treated me very well. The waiter (or rather, waiter) was very attentive. The meat was incredibly tender!

Good value for money and nice food

As Argentinians, we really appreciate this place! We ordered a bife de chorizo and a milanesa napolitana 10/10! The other restaurants in the city center that claim to be Argentine are not! Don’t be fooled! Luna has authentic Argentine meat! 🇦🇷🩷🤤

The food was very good, the service very friendly and the ambiance very suitable. We can only recommend it.

One of the most disgraceful and disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. Before I even walked in, things already went wrong. I dropped my girlfriend off at the door so she could go inside ahead of me. Inside was a large group of loud, drunk men — basically football hooligans — who started shouting inappropriate comments at her the moment she entered. And the staff? Did absolutely nothing. No one stepped in, no one said a word. They just watched. To make matters worse, they were too indifferent to even take her coat, leaving us to hang it ourselves. Then came the food: • Main course: raw pork sausages, literally undercooked. We sent them back and got replacements. • Rib-eye: fair enough, that one was decent. • Tenderloin: looked and tasted more like a deep-fried meatball than an actual steak. I find it completely unacceptable that my girlfriend had to feel unsafe in a restaurant while the staff stood by and did nothing. And to top it off, the food was substandard at best. A restaurant with no respect, no service, and no quality whatsoever. An absolute disgrace. I wouldn’t set foot here again if you paid me.

We traveled to Amsterdam for the ADE festival and went to eat at the Argentinian restaurant Luna, and it exceeded our expectations. The service and meats were spectacular. We will return, and thanks to the grill master and waiters, we were treated like we were at home.

We had a delicious meal, but the portions were too small, and the price-quality ratio wasn't good. The service wasn't great either, considering the price. They forgot the salad, and the service was poor. For example, after a long wait, we even asked for the dessert menu even though it wasn't busy. We used to go here often until 10 years ago, and back then everything was more generous, including the food, the hospitality, and the atmosphere. We won't be back.

Food was good, the quality of the meat was also good. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy. the overall cost is too much, especially when you charge extra money every little additional choice. An example: sauce is included in the price of a steak, but if you choose steak butter, bam +4 euros. Another example: no side is included with a steak per se. So you pay for each side dish. Bam +5 euro. And so on. In the end you end paying too much for what it is. Deserts cost 10+ euros each. Another bam :)

We were here on a Monday night and it was busy enough to have a good atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed our steak. A good selection of beer and wine too.

This is probably one of the few restaurants that are truly Argentine, the rest are disguised to attract diners, the meat is high quality + a real Argentine atmosphere, longing for my origins, it was very worth coming to Luna, it was very tasty, highly recommended 😍

Spent my birthday here at this cute Argentinian restaurant which is nothing like most other Argentinian places in the city that are way too touristy. Come here for some real Argentinian experience. The service was very good and just the overall ambiance there felt super chill. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed my dinner. Despite mixed reviews I wanted to give them a try and happy I did. Started with the chorizo sausages which were some of the best I ever had. Ordered the Argentinian steak with chimichurri and a salad. The steak was cooked well and the chinichurri was also some of the best I’ve had. Would recommend.

Excellent Argentinian restaurant, very cozy and with a very genuine atmosphere, friendly staff, and top-quality meat. A good choice for a two-day business trip after being recommended by an Argentinian guide who told us about this lovely restaurant.

The place itself is not bad! Yet could be better. The starters were a bit sad, the empanadas done well but the ingredients are poorly chosen. Canned corn, cheapest canned tuna, and a sad criolla-2 small spoons. The beginning can be changed. Maybe try to play a bit more with the suppliers for the ingredients. As for the meat itself, not bad, yet still the quality not living up to the price. Either lower the price a bit or make it slightly better. The staff were nice and friendly. The wine was good.

We ordered sirloin Milanese with roasted potatoes. For dessert, flan. Everything was delicious. The waiter's service was also phenomenal. Very good, I recommend it.

Lovely food and service, its expensive but is worth it. I really enjoyed the melted cheese dish but I forget what it is called, definitely try it and I highly recommend the mixed grill!

🧡🧡🧡 Meat, meat and more meat!!! 🧡🧡🧡This is my favorite gem in Amsterdam, I want it to be hidden gem, but it is quite popular nowadays, I discovered Luna many years ago and it never disappoints, the atmosphere is on top, the food, Oh the food is nothing less than amazing, simple, tasteful and just perfect. Service is great, friendly and quick. I dont want to recommend it, so more people find it, but it is just to good not to recommend, if you visit Amsterdam, a dinner at Luna is a must! Thank you once again for the service and the amazing meat! Hope to see another steak in my stomach from you soon again! 🥳 The mixed grill plate for two is my new favorite 🥳 ( recommending it to everyone )

I'm an Argentinian living in Amsterdam. I went to this restaurant on Monday with a friend. I felt like I was in Argentina. The food, the decor, the warmth and friendliness of the staff. I'll be back forever. I love Luna ❤️ Thanks guys 🥰

Unfortunately, the worst experience of our stay. The welcome was really not very warm, not even a goodbye when leaving. The meat was good but the canneloni were really bland and lacking in flavor. The prices seemed quite high to us, especially since you have to pay extra for the fries, which are clearly frozen fries. We are disappointed because we thought we were going to have a great discovery.

Loved this restaurant! They were able to cater to my celiac and the steak was delicious.

Disappointing... a rib-eye steak advertised on the menu which unfortunately wasn't one, overcooked moreover with a rare cooking requested; a Neapolitan Milanese escalope with a slice of low-end ham on top... Very expensive for the quality and quantity served (except for the sides of lamb, which were overcooked but nevertheless good).

Very Disappointing Experience Not Coming Back I recently visited this restaurant and ordered lamb chops. What I received first was completely burnt and overcooked, so I returned it. They brought it back again this time practically raw and uncooked, as you can see in the photos. The service was equally frustrating. I had to ask multiple times for basic things, and the staff, especially the girl with glasses and the other waiter, didn’t offer any explanation or apology. This used to be one of my favorite places the last time I visited, it was a great experience. But this time the food was unacceptable, and the service was even worse. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

We tried the empanadas, the Milanese Napolitana, and the asado. Everything was delicious! 100% Argentine flavors. Ramiro, the chef, is a genius. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nice Argentinian restaurant with very good quality meat. The tenderloin was very good, tasted so good that a sauce was not even needed. Argentinian sausages were also very tasty. The restaurant is in a little less busy area of town but still easy to get to. There are a few tables outside for the guests. Make a reservation on time if you'd like to sit outside. Friendly staff and a lot of pictures of Argentinian celebrities are placed on the walls. All in all, a nice little cosy restaurant with great food

Everything was amazing. From the food to service to the pricing. There was a man with an accordion who began to play in the booth next to us and his friend sang. Beautiful and unexpected. Definitely recommend!

A very cozy little restaurant. The food is delicious, and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. Side dishes like rice salad or fries must be ordered separately to prevent waste. I think the price for a small bowl of fries is a bit steep (5 euros).

Cannelloni is extremely overpriced for portion size, and the Roquefort sauce is too salty. Recently the waiters struggle with English a lot and orders get often misunderstood. Food quality is still good though overall. Aperol is 14€ which is also too high

With the main menu you still have to order fries or vegetables. Meat is very tasty.

Friendly staff who aren't above having a good laugh. Like everywhere else in the city, it's cramped, and a bit more cleanliness would do the place good. Make sure to make a reservation in advance, otherwise there's no room. The food is delicious, and the beers pair perfectly with the menu. Small place - big experience.

Food and wines were good, but a bit pricey

We came here after a disappointing experience at a nearby restaurant, and I’m so glad we did! The staff was kind and attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious.

Update- Back after years and great again. Highly recommended for steaks. Absolutely the best steak in town. The service is also amazing. The staff were so helpful with my baby and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Finally, the music is amazing! I'd go here again for the food though. Yum!

Food and atmosphere were decent, although the steaks weren't anything to blow your mind but the service was unbelievably slow. Pleasant but slooow. We waited for everything for ages while people that had walked in after us were getting served much quicker. Disappointing for a place that isn't cheap in and out of itself.

I come back whenever I can because it's spectacular. Perfect for feeling at home and eating good meat.

A suuuuper 10!!! They knew it was my birthday and brought out my dessert with a sparkler, and the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to me!!! Besides, the food was delicious, the meats all cooked to the exact point everyone ordered. In short, it was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back when I go again!!

I never leave bad reviews but this was such horrible service that I had to. We made a reservation days in advance before coming, (on April 26 for May 3). We had confirmation and email proof for our reservation but because it didn’t register in your system, we were refused with the excuse that the free tables were booked out. Kicked out of the restaurant at 8:30pm leaving us with no time to seek out dinner at another restaurant. The staff handled this mistake terribly, rudely, and did nothing to help or accommodate us despite there being free tables at our arrival, which was punctual. We were first accused of booking another restaurant and even after proving that we deserved our place in the restaurant as much as any other reservation, sent away with a card for the address of Luna’s second location. Disgraceful and disappointing

Made a reservation days in advance. Was turned away by a very rude waiter who offered little to no valid explanation. Really unheard of.

Incomparable steak. I recommend taking the grill mix. It's also very tasty. There are always a lot of people here, it's better to make a reservation

Very good little restaurant! We only tasted the starters and desserts, and everything was delicious. As there were no more seats available in the dining room, we dined on the terrace where we were kindly offered a blanket for greater comfort. The wait was a little longer on the terrace, but that in no way spoiled the good time we had. A great experience that I recommend!

A very small, quaint restaurant. Depending on where you sit, it's more or less comfortable, but the real highlight is the food. Empanadas are absolutely amazing. The meat skewer was also excellent. One would have liked a little more meat. You should probably definitely order the steaks. These looked fantastic. Be sure to reserve. No chance on a cold Monday in March without an order

It’s perhaps the best place to have steak in the Jordaan area, Cafe Carbon being a close competitor but to me Luna is better with the more airy atmosphere and the genuine Argentinian vibe. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium, and even if it was overcooked I would still love it, with this quality of meats you can’t go wrong. The charcoal and iron cooking is key in taste. In the end you get the juiciest, softest and tastiest ribeye you could imagine. Even the fatty spots in the ribeye were soft and easy to chew, which is a key detail I watch out for. It is pricy, but not specific to Luna though. Too bad steak prices skyrocketed in recent years, which reflects to all steakhouse menus.

All high quality meat. Excellent service. We were a little cold. But otherwise recommended if you are a meat lover.
