Posting this review as I am eating. I am very surprised by the 4.7 star for this place. I went there because of the stars. It's may be good for Europeans. But if you're an Indian or that part of the world don't go.

We had an incredibly delicious meal, all under the watchful eye of exceptionally friendly, helpful, competent, and thoughtful staff. Everything was (is) delicious and authentic, and the reasonable price made for a very successful evening. Definitely worth it and worth repeating (or more).

The staff is kind and attentive. The food is full of flavor and delicious. I love the Thali options, had the lamb and delicious with a hint of heat. Samosa is flaky and fragrant! Will definitely be back!

We ate at Annapurna tonight because we love Indian food and we stumbled on this amazing restaurant. This was really the best Indian food we have ever had! (and we’ve had a lot). As soon as we walked in they made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our host/server was so nice and treated us so well. It was a delightful experience!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was outstanding. The service was just as impressive: attentive, friendly, and professional without ever feeling rushed. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Annapurna Kitchen is an Indian restaurant centrally located near Vondelpark and is a good option if you are looking for a quick bite. The food is of decent quality, but the flavors could be more exciting and varied - there is room for improvement here. The staff is nice and contributes to a pleasant experience. All in all, a very nice place for a simple meal, but perhaps not the place to choose if you are looking for a more culinary experience.

We went here for dinner to see if it was any good. Our usual place is unfortunately closed... but this place is a good and tasty substitute.

Food was delicious, moist meats, amazing „dumblings“ and the Naan bread has a nice sweetness (but not too much) to it. The ingredients come from Nepalese imports, so orginial stuff. They cook the meat every day fresh. Super nice service, was topped at the end with a nice Minze tea on the house. Great place :-) Best regards Andreina and Marcus

Great food and very friendly service we loved this place!

We enter a very cozy restaurant with good reviews, expecting some really good Indian food. We both order their so-called “chef’s special” which is described as a tikka massala dish with shrimp, chicken and lamb. We of course expect the dish to come with the meat separated from each other in their own small plate. But no, it all comes on a large plate without sauce. The shrimp were good but we barely managed to taste them before they were gone, since there were only 2. The chicken came on the bone so we had to pick it apart with a fork and knife. The lamb could just as well have been beef as it was dry. We also ordered their chef’s special naan bread, it tasted like cake so sweet it was, no sign of salt in that bread. All in all we came away with 80 euros, when you pay that much for Indian food it should also be good, and it just wasn’t.

Annapurna has quickly become one of my favorite spots! I keep coming back for two dishes I absolutely love, the Chicken Jalfrezi and the Chicken Biryani, both full of flavor and consistently delicious. The service is always warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. If you’re a fan of authentic Indian cuisine, Annapurna is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

The food was fantastic. The food is not your usual Indian sweet curry, but way more delicious and rich in flavour. The only thing that made this 4 stars is the atmosphere. It could have a but more ethnic Nepali or Indian decoration.

We had an amazing meal at Nepali Restaurant Annapurna! The food was delicious, full of flavor, and freshly made. The momo and dal bhat were our favorites. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Nepali cuisine!

Perfect little authentic Indian/Nepalese restaurant set on the high street of a quiet suburb outside of Amsterdam. Warm friendly welcome, cosy, comfortable waited tables. We order a variety of starters, main & breads to share with drinks to share (2 adults) high chair provided for the baby. Prices were reasonable, food full of flavour cooked fresh. Would recommend & return.

Very friendly staff, food was very good and quickly on the table. In terms of spiciness also perfect, not too spicy, just right! As a starter we had the chicken wings and chicken momo, both great. As a main we found the butter chicken to stand out the most. The house special mixed naan was also great!

We were in Annapurna kitchen in Amsterdam today for dinner with a group of my friends. We had ordered tandoori , chicken, jhol momo, Nan bread and chicken biryani . The environment inside the restaurant is very friendly . We were welcomed with papadam . Food is very tasty , fresh and authentic . Nan bread is very soft , Chicken is tender, specicy is very perfectly served. I will recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner for indian , nepalese food lover.

The food came in fast, hot, and absolutely exploding with flavor. It was kept warm by a heating table in the middle. Everything was perfectly cooked! Calm, nice atmosphere, great art on the walls. Even for a busy friday we managed to get a table instantly. Well kept furniture. Clean and well smelling bathroom. The service was absolutely excellent, and way to humble. Our server was very kind, helped us with our leftovers that we brought home, and treated us to some strong coffee. We have been in Amsterdam for a week and eaten out a lot. This was the best so far, and I think it will be tough to beat. ❤️

Most importantly, the food was phenomenal. The starter and main course were so good, I've never eaten such good food. Service: exceptionally good; the chef and his wife are very attentive; the food was served quickly, and they always checked to see if you had everything and were satisfied. What was also great was that the chef pays extreme attention to order and cleanliness, which I personally really liked. I've rarely felt so well looked after, and the food was simply top-notch. I can only recommend it 150%.

Delicious food!!!!! And fantastic hospitality!!’! I’ve been to a fair few restaurants alone while on my travels and have often felt ignored or unimportant, but not here. We had a last minute dinner here, got seated efficiently and with very friendly service. Food was great, we had the chilli dumplings which really surprised me! I saw some negative reviews about them but they were very delicious. We also tried the fried paneer which was also new to me and I loved it! We had butter naan which was soft, chicken curry with lentils which was delicious and lamb biryani which is great! We also had a portion of fries which were basic, but we were not expecting too much from them. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming and would be back just for that :). Would recommend!

While on holiday, we visited here at 7:30 on a Thursday evening and managed to get a table for 2 without a booking but it was busy enough for a nice atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and gave great service. The food was really tasty. I had the chicken dansak and my wife had sagh paneer. We also had the biggest garlic naan we have ever seen. Very quick service too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing food! Had dinner here whilst on holiday with my family- we're Indian and always end up missing Indian food if without it for too long. The seekh kebab was the best I've ever had, the mixed grill of tandoori chicken and chicken momos and the veg thali was also really tasty. The chicken biryani was also really good; large pieces of chicken and a very generous portion (slight criticism- found the addition of mint a bit strange). The naan bread was the exact right texture and not chewy. They catered to our dietary needs- vegetarian, no seafood, gluten-free and a request of no nuts. The server was lovely, really attentive and served us promptly. Nice interior too. It's a small restaurant so probably need to book ahead at busier times.

Delicious and well flavoured food. We visited on a Friday night without a booking and were able to be seated straight away. Staff were friendly and thorough and the food was very delightful. Complementary popadoms and chutneys are always appreciated !! The lamb was very succulent and incredibly tender and the vegetable curry had a good flavour profile.
