While on holiday, we visited here at 7:30 on a Thursday evening and managed to get a table for 2 without a booking but it was busy enough for a nice atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and gave great service. The food was really tasty. I had the chicken dansak and my wife had sagh paneer. We also had the biggest garlic naan we have ever seen. Very quick service too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing food! Had dinner here whilst on holiday with my family- we're Indian and always end up missing Indian food if without it for too long. The seekh kebab was the best I've ever had, the mixed grill of tandoori chicken and chicken momos and the veg thali was also really tasty. The chicken biryani was also really good; large pieces of chicken and a very generous portion (slight criticism- found the addition of mint a bit strange). The naan bread was the exact right texture and not chewy. They catered to our dietary needs- vegetarian, no seafood, gluten-free and a request of no nuts. The server was lovely, really attentive and served us promptly. Nice interior too. It's a small restaurant so probably need to book ahead at busier times.

Walked 45 minutes to this restaurant because I saw it had good reviews and boy, it did not disappoint 😍 The food was so good! Had the butter chicken and the garlic naan, a 10/10. Highly recommended

Delicious and well flavoured food. We visited on a Friday night without a booking and were able to be seated straight away. Staff were friendly and thorough and the food was very delightful. Complementary popadoms and chutneys are always appreciated !! The lamb was very succulent and incredibly tender and the vegetable curry had a good flavour profile.

Best Indian restaurant in Amsterdam

We ordered a menu for 2 for delivery. When I realised I ordered a vegetarian version instead of meat, the person on the phone was kind enough to change it for no extra cost. They were easy and friendly about it. We had planned to be home on time for the delivery but were delayed by some unforseen car trouble, causing the delivery person to wait 20(!) minutes in the freezing cold to deliver our order. We felt so terrible, but the delivery person, same as the staff on the phone, were friendly, gracious and warm. When we finnally got in, we were extremley pleased with the food that was still hot and delicious. Order your next take out from these good people, they deliver on all accounts.

Great food and very kind service :). We can recommend the Annapurna Veg Course Dinner. All of it was great, but especially the paneer tikka tandoori was lovely! It's a lot of food, but we could take our leftovers home. Until next time!

Ordered food from Annapurna for the first time tonight. The butter chicken had a good flavor and the samosas and naan were super fresh and tasty. In addition, the food was delivered within half an hour of ordering! I had a delicious meal and will order here more often.

Delicious food at Annapurna! Cozy table by the window, friendly staff with knowledge of the dishes and excellent service. The food was great, especially the garlic naan. To finish we were given mint tea on the house. Definitely recommended!

One of the friendliest and most attentive staffs I've ever experienced. Just the right balance of helping you with your choices and leaving you to your own space. The owner noticed the food was slightly spicy for us and brought some 'yogurt'. No charge or nothing. After dinner we had some food left and asked for take-away, and they even included free extra rice for us to eat at home. Absolute 5 stars and more.

Food was very tasty and authentic, with every dish perfectly balanced in taste and spice. The staff was polite and attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in.

Just the service alone is visit worthy. And if you had the food it’s a must. Presentation, is lovely, warming device under the food, pre warmed plates, the attention and love for details is there. Kind staff perfectly balancing being attentive and offering suggestions to not over intruding on the meal.

WOW! Best Indian food in Amsterdam! We came across this restaurant by chance because most of the restaurants were already closed. Even though we arrived three quarters of an hour before closing time, we were served very, very friendly and patiently. The chicken was top notch, the sauce was perfectly seasoned - super tasty. The dal soup as a starter or for a small hunger is perfect. The seasoning was right here too, it was the best dal I've ever eaten. Gladly again! Will definitely come back next time we are in Amsterdam!

Our first meal in Amsterdam while traveling. Food was delicious, server was very friendly and kind. We got lamb korma, garlic naan, and chicken tandoori. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant for travelers and locals!

There was not a lot of people so the food came really quick. Everything was really good and the garlic bread was the best one. I really recommend it if you like Indian food. The people working were also really nice!

Anapurna Kitchen is the greatest restaurant in Amsterdam! We ordered their catering for our wedding and it was the best choice we could ever make. The quality, taste, service were on the highest possible level. All the products were fresh and Annapurna team provided top service: they communicated to us before the wedding to make sure all the products are fresh and delivered everything on time with great attention to our special day. All the dishes were amazing, flavorful, fresh and was highly appreciated by all our guest who were more then 80. Once again, big thanks to Annapurna team! For all who haven't tried their delicious food - this is must place to visit!

We ate very well here, recommended to all those who want to eat quality Indian cuisine (which is difficult to find in this city). The cheese Nan was delicious, as was the butter chicken. Friendly staff and average price for Amsterdam.
