A fantastic Indian and Nepalese restaurant. The naans are incredible, both in taste and size. A variety of dishes, some more spicy than others... worth trying!

this was greatttt!! i went with 8 people, everything was a hit and everyone was happy with their meals. i got the mixed momo and some samosas for starters and i loved both <3 fyi, nepali people are serious abt their spice so the madras/vindaloo was very very spicy. the ppl who ordered it were able to handle it, me, not so much 🤣 and the butter chicken/paneer sauce was very sweet, it was kind of like a dessert. i thought it was delicious though, i loved dipping my momo in it. everyone was happy. and, we had a vegan with us and the staff told us whatever she wanted to get from the menu, they could prepare vegan for her. incredible! i recommend wholeheartedly <3

Food was excellent. Choice of spice level with each dish, mild medium or a lot. Nice bottle Nepalese beer also. Very good and friendly staff. Nice cosy seating and good atmosphere. Gluten free options available.

Lovely. I ordered biryani and peshwari naan and lalabs ordered some chicken dish. Delicious. Sorry no photos.we focus more on experience when we dine out so we usually do not take photos

I’ve eaten here a number of times and the food and service are always exceptional. They serve Indian and Nepalese food and this time we had all Indian dishes and it was some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. Excellent range of vegetarian options as well!

The food at Lumbini in Amsterdam was delicious and full of flavor. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, and hospitable. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommended; we would love to come back again!

The service and food were great! The air conditioning was very strong and it was a bit chilly.

The food was absolutely delicious; we had Nepalese dishes, momos, butter chicken, and naan. The only downside was that the air conditioning was set a bit too high.

We loved this place! We’ve been living in Amsterdam for a few years, but this was our first time visiting, and we’re so glad we did. ❤️ We had the paneer chilli, lamb biryani, and veg chow mein — everything was delicious, fresh, and of really good quality. The prices are a little on the higher side, but honestly, it’s worth a visit. The service was also excellent — very friendly and attentive. Definitely looking forward to coming back! 😊

I enjoyed a delicious dinner (butter chicken, chicken biriyani, and stuffed paratha) in Lumbini while visiting Amsterdam. The portion sizes are very generous. Our waiter was very polite; the service was excellent! Well worth a visit if you’re in Amstel!!

This review was (gently) requested by my server. I generally don’t leave reviews, good or bad. Just not that kind of gal… but the food and service were so good I am happy to accommodate the request. I dined solo, was not made to feel awkward and my food was delicious. I stuck to traditional India, started with lentil soup, then lamb masala (made a bit more spicy) and garlic naan. Accompanied with a mango lassi. Great portions and all delicious. Glad I stumbled upon this jewel (without reservation) in Amsterdam.

Food was incredible and the service was even better. A large menu so there is something for everyone and it is served family style so it’s the perfect spot for large groups or a casual date night. Location is fantastic. Right off the busier streets so it makes the restaurant more intimate. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

Beautiful calm atmosphere, excellent service, but most of all exceptionally rich, flavorful food. We got the Nepalese Thali. The lamb was so tender and succulent, not the dry chewy stuff I often get at Indian restaurants. The naan was perfectly fluffy, like biting a cloud. So yummy!
