Hidden gem for game lovers in Amsterdam! What a nice tent this is! I happened to be in the area while looking for a location to kill some time and play a game and came across Armory. Nice staff, lots of international people and wide choice of games! Think it's a nice affordable place to have a game night with a drink and maybe also fun to use the location for a company outing if the office likes to play games! Definitely going here more often when I'm in the area, nice concept!

Brilliant selection of games and beers. Would have stayed all night if we didn't have other plans. We didn't have food, but the neighbours had food and it looked fantastic. The girl behind the bar was super friendly and started a tab for us. Made sure we were well looked after.

Superfun place to play some amazing games! They have an enormous collection of games to play, so there is something for everyone. The staff was really friendly and they have nice drinks and food.

Probably my favourite place in the whole of Amsterdam. The staff built a great community that's welcoming to all. Perfect place to go to meet new friends, or have a drink with old ones. Check out the Thursday board game nights on meetup.

We went as tourists looking for a nice bar, but unfortunately as soon as we walked in we felt as if we were unwelcome in there. Initially, the staff were not willing to assist in finding us seating and we were made to feel as if we were being a nuisance. Once sat down, one of the chairs broke and we kindly asked for a replacement. However , the manager, who was American, was very rude towards us and was not willing to find us another chair. She spoke to us in an aggressive and condescending manner. We literally had to beg and luckily one of the other members of staff was willing to help. We quickly finished our drinks and left as we didn’t feel comfortable there. Disappointing!

Walked into this place because it seemed to have the best vibe on the street. My husband made friends because he loves games. Victoria is not only the bartender but also the Dungeon Master. Great drinks and good people

I found this gem a year and half ago and I have been coming here on a weekly basis ever since. The owners are absolutely amazing and you can enjoy a great variety of drinks and board games. I'm always making new friends here!

Literally the best place in the world

Just as advertised. A fun place to play boardgames with friends, have a few drinks and eat (basic) food. We spend 6 hours there and enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Been there a couple times, the place itself is kinda nice. But the owner is so rude that it always makes me question my decision to go there. Every single time there's an episode with him, either he starts to complain about your food choices, about the beer you want drink or he's just plain passive aggressive. this was the last chance I gave to this place. Honestly just gather your friends at your place and play with them, you will have a better time.

This place is great. John and Victoria made us feel very welcome. The drinks were awesome e and the food was good as well. Was actually there for the “we were a half hr late review!” Complete nonsense…. We could even sit down because they held that table for well over a half hr for Omar and his possy 😂

Great service and good cocktails in a basic but nice environment. Awesome selection of games and the owner really knows all of them and is helpful picking out and explaining. Not cheap but absolutely recommend!

This is my favorite bar in the city! I play dnd every Sunday there and the environment is inviting and warm. The owners are dedicated and lovely to be around. This bar become like a second home. The food and cocktails are also fantastic

Very loud, homesick American expat. The bartender started to sigh when asked what beers he had. Apart from the fact that there is a reasonable range of games and they do have good options in terms of food, the atmosphere and service were disappointing. At the end we were surprised with a €5 'all day gaming fee' per person at checkout while we played a game for 2 hours. Highly overrated.

Armoury bar is a great spot in de Pijp, full of board games and with an exceptional staff. We organized a private event for 40 people there and it went great! The food is super nice, the board games are of all kinds and the atmosphere is unmatched. There are some vegan food option, and it would be even better to see a vegan baked potato in the list to get a full experience for everyone!

We were half an hour late to our reservation, which is our fault - don't get me wrong. But being sassy and rude the whole night is not how you respond. We apologized and I was about to leave a good tip to compensate, but the waiter was quite rude a bunch of times, so I think a tip wouldn't make sense. Anyways, great atmosphere and a wide selection of games. Food was okay. Regulars there are nice and open. Would recommend a visit. Just don't upset the waiter.

This place.... is a total blast! The staff there is super cool, and the vibe is all friendly and fun. They've got this awesome game stash, and I had a great time trying out the cat lady card game with my fellow cat ladies. Oh, and the drinks? Tasty and creative! I didn't chow down this time, but next time I'm in Amsterdam, I'm definitely digging into their grub. Great spot for a chill night with board games! Sláinte!

Positives: Huge games library and delicious cocktails! Vegan bitterballen were also great. Negatives: We maybe were just unlucky but we didn't find the service to be that welcoming, unfortunately. Lots of other reviews speak well of the service though, so it could be we just caught someone at the end of a rough day. We were also a bit disappointed that there weren't many vegan options.

Lugar muito legal. Mais de 200 jogos de tabuleiro. Por 5 euros você pode jogar o tempo que quiser. Além dos jogos a comida é ótima. Tem uma carne cozida com cerveja que é muito boa. Ambiente agradável. O lugar é pequeno, vale chegar cedo ou reservar, poucas mesas. Fomos muito bem atendidos pelo Robin.

Gladly the projector gave us a little bit of light. :) A little bit of brightness would be nice while playing. And the second things is that the soda's are from Frits. For me thats a reason to not go to a bar. The boardgames would make me go back though .

One of the very few (if any) places in Amsterdam you get true, genuine, welcoming American hospitality. The neighborhood could learn a lot from the way Victoria and John run the place. I HIGHLY recommend getting their signature pies! … Roll for initiative.

The owner is awesome. He's super attentive, always quick to recognize you when you're looking for a drink or just to chat. He actively walks around the bar and interacts with his guests - I felt like I was at a buddy's house. Food was great too - the beef stew with cheese is to die for. The board game night was probably one of the best bar based board gaming nights I've ever been to in the world. At some gaming nights I've been to, I feel awkward trying to insert myself into a group, but everyone here is so genuinely friendly they'll go out of their way to welcome you and invite you to a game. Wish I lived here 'cause I'd never miss an event if I did.

I don't think you should go. Because you will be addicted to its food, games and wonderful environment. I'm there every week and will keep going to go for a long time :) and it's also nice that the staff there know you and know your name. I'm proud of myself for finding this wonderful place in a new country where I can go regularly :D

What a wonderful and cosy place! The staff is really friendly, and even told us about games to play, such as King of Tokyo or Unmatched. Also excellent selection of drinks and nice decoration. A great addition to de Pijp!
