Fantastic food, drinks & service! Will return again when in Amsterdam.

The pork belly is supposed to be crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. It was tough and seemed more like a fatty pork loin. My wife picked around on her prawn pasta but ultimately felt as though it would make her sick. Kids enjoyed their angus pasta and the beer was good. Overall, we left hungry as the food was uneatable.

Super experience!! Celebrated my birthday and it was so so special! The staff is kind, delicious pasta & tiramisu and overall great atmosphere!! They went above and beyond!!

This is really terrible. We told them that too when we left and were asked how it tasted. Bland, overcooked, tasteless, and way too expensive. A typical tourist trap. Imagine our surprise??!! When we got home, we wanted to write a review and we read: too bad you didn't show up. Because of that, we couldn't write a review (on Fork, I think). This stinks! Don't get ripped off at this place. They really should close this place down. Today.

Incredibly delicious pasta with mushrooms. The photo shows half a portion. We also tried the Vital Tanata (but didn't take a photo) and the baked smoked burrata. Everything was amazing; I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a delightful experience this was. We had a fantastic meal here, and the presentation of every dish was truly a work of art. The lemon-shaped dessert, in particular, was an absolute surprise, with a perfect balance between the fresh taste and the crispy element underneath. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, and the dishes demonstrate a great deal of creativity. The meat with the accompanying potatoes was perfectly prepared, and the deep flavor of the sauce completed the experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves refined food. We will certainly be back here soon.

Had a lovely evening here - we didn’t have food but delicious cocktails. No reservation but Leticia welcomed us in and we had a perfect table on the terrace. Juan was very attentive and we will be back.

What a cozy place! Juan and Marcos were amazing! We had a delicious meal and drinks, with great recommendations from Marcos. Definitely a place to return to! Be sure to ask for Marcos's special cocktail.

Fantastic evening with great service and truly delicious starters and fresh pastas. The tiramisu was beautifully presented and surprisingly tasty. Not too sweet.

We ordered two pasta dishes and I am pretty sure one was packaged pasta which was the rigatoni one. No taste and undercooked. Overall the worst food I have had in Amsterdam so far, very disappointing experience with the food.

All the food was warm and delicious. I tried a variety of dishes, including pasta, scallops, and pork, but the scallop dish was the best. The owner is very kind. The restaurant is dimly lit with lighting on the tables, creating a very nice and warm atmosphere. You should definitely come visit!

Found this place through the Fork app. We shared a starter, main and some tiramisu: - Swordfish carpaccio, this had a very unqie taste, the first time for me eating swordfish -> 4/5 ⭐️ - Fusilloni a la gricia -> really good creamy pasta, a bit less creamy than a carbonara -> 4.7/5 ⭐️ - Tiramisu -> best tiramisu I had in Amsterdam, does not have a strong liquor taste 5/5⭐️ The service was good, we got a small dish on the house. Interior was nice, especially the lamp was a fun little detail. Good Italian in the city centre! I would recommend the tiramisu.

As Italians, we couldn't help but try an Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. Our expectations were met: excellent cuisine, great service, and a beautiful location. Recommended for anyone looking to eat well in Amsterdam.

We had a very bad experience!!!! The staff was extremely rude from the moment we arrived at the restaurant!!! The food was very bad!!!! The pasta had a sauce from a can and mayonnaise!!!!!!!The tartare was not tartare but something that looked like cold cuts and they brought it with mayonnaise!!!!The waiter went to leave used plates on the table and didn't even apologize!!! My drink was not amaretto dissarono as they say on the menu!!!! They brought it with ice that had hot pepper in it!!! When I complained they simply removed the ice!!!!!! The interior smells very bad from the toilets so we had to sit outside while there were many of us and there was no room! We were 4 adults and 4 children and they gave us 6 chairs!!!!!!! I don't want to put any stars!!!!! Too bad!!!! I can't believe how it has such a rating!!!!! Not suitable for families!!!!!!

Came to Assagio for a post-dinner drink and dessert. Had the most amazing tiramisu and tartufo, and great cocktails made to our personal preferences. Laetitia was a great host. We will come back to enjoy an evening of amazing food, drinks and hosting.

Overall, everything was very good, but the carpaccio was excellent.

Delicious! I am a little worried about how I will get home though, that is how full I am. I couldn’t stop eating, the pasta was THAT good. Service was friendly and I left feeling like family- especially because they let me stay to finish the wine glass that kept refilling itself. *For singles & snuggly couples: sit in the window seat!* the people watching was chef’s kiss! The ragù pasta was delicious, everything is homemade: the pasta is freshly made in the kitchen and the ragù meat is top quality. The desserts were amazing. While the service is polished and the ambiance whispers of a sophisticated Roman evening, the kitchen appears to be reading from a completely different script—one potentially written for toddlers. One must admire the bravery required to serve portions this microscopic at Amsterdam prices. It is less of a meal and more of a gastronomic tease. However, once you navigate the vast expanse of white porcelain to find your actual dinner, the real trouble begins. The selection of proteins suggests a chef who has developed a deep, personal affection for connective tissue. The meat was so aggressively fatty it felt less like a curated cut and more like a collection of trimmings the butcher forgot to discard. In a city known for its culinary precision, this level of "rustic" butchery borders on the insulting. Then, we must address the culinary heresy that is Assaggi’s take on a classic. Carbonara is a dish of ego and restraint—egg, guanciale, pecorino, pepper. It does not require a vegetable intervention. To the chef's inexplicable credit, they decided to introduce pumpkin to the mix. The result? A saccharine, mushy disaster with the structural integrity and flavor profile of puréed baby food. It wasn't just an experimental failure; it was a textural nightmare that insulted the very heritage the restaurant claims to represent. Go for the candlelight, stay for a glass of wine, but for the love of all things Italian, eat a proper dinner elsewhere before you arrive. Assaggi proves that you can’t eat the atmosphere, no matter how "excellent" it might be.

Nice place with a strong menu. It's a bit pricey, though the food doesn't necessarily reflect that. It took 45 minutes to get our main course after our starter, even though it wasn't particularly busy. The food was delicious; if you're looking for something in the area, it's a good option. But I would still choose a different place for better value.

I really enjoyed the pappardelle, which was a unique twist with its mushroom and truffle filling—highly recommended! However, the swordfish didn't quite match our expectations, similar to the starter in flavor. We also ordered asparagus, but it was a bit on the limp side rather than crispy. We experienced a wait of 20-30 minutes for our dishes, and everything arrived ALL at once, which made the table feel a bit crowded. Overall, it felt like a standard Italian dining experience, not quite living up to the 4.7-star rating from over 5,000 reviews. It was also not fully booked or filled up, so feel free to walk-in! On a positive note, the interior was lovely, featuring a hanging fireplace, and our waitress was friendly, even if she was quite occupied.
