Extremely over priced. The food in general was a hit or miss, some was good, some was bad. The beef carpaccio is not a good dish, very fatty and not balanced at all. The carbonara’s meat was extremely salty. The pasta itself and ingredients were mostly good, but the execution was lacking, especially for the price point. Service was ok, only a couple of small issues. They did give us a small appetizer which was nice of them.

Service was exceptional and pasta was cooked perfectly.

Multiple requests were missed, my wine glasses were dirty, and our waiter forgot our order three times. I even had to get up myself to bring salt, pepper, and olive oil to the table. The food was a major letdown: the clams were dry, the pasta was not just al dente but practically uncooked, and the pesto was clearly not fresh. Desserts looked nice but tasted bland. While the ambiance was pleasant, the service and food quality ruined the evening. As someone living in Amsterdam, I regret choosing this place for my mother’s last night visiting me. The whole experience felt careless and basic, and I would not come back.

Pleasant and well-serviced restaurant. Good pasta, well cooked, although the price seems a bit high to me. The pannacotta deserves a comment of its own: excellent.

Warm welcome, very friendly. Cozy, lovely warm atmosphere. Starter, main course, dessert, aperitif, water, and drinks, 130 euros for two, which is reasonable considering the setting, and the quality of the service and food. Generous pasta dish, they also serve bread. We were offered a homemade digestif, very good. Very satisfied with this evening.

We had the most delicious dinner at Assaggi! The service was warm, inviting, but not intrusive. The food was presented beautifully on dishware from Italy. From the Aperol spritz to the lemoncello and everything in-between, it was a relaxing and memorable Italian meal. You will not be disappointed to dine here.

Went for lunch and it was literally empty, thought that it was quite weird, the food was good but nothing that impressive and the prices were kinda high, the service was great so I did have a good time there

Deliciousness! Vongole two times - agente pasta, tiny juicy clams, a little briny in the best way. Panacotta 10/10. Like a wonderful Italian Mom or Nonna, you will be strongly encourage to have more.

We loved our time at Assagi! The patio has a great view of the clock tower and is on a quieter side street. Both of our drinks we great and the staff was extremely accommodating and polite. I would highly recommend

The food at Assaggi was absolutely delicious, pure quality! We had the mushroom risotto and the rigatoni, both were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Letizia, who was extremely attentive and made us feel right at home. Her colleague Oleg was equally wonderful, making the service seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Italian with outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

We had dinner here last Saturday and it was absolutely wonderful! The host and hostess were extremely friendly. I had requested a special table, and they arranged it perfectly. Due to some bad luck, we arrived far too late, but the host was very understanding and accommodating. We also asked if the kitchen could surprise us by creating our courses, and they put together a perfect menu. A truly Italian restaurant with Italian staff and therefore truly delicious Italian food! Highly recommended!

This is my new favorite street in Amsterdam and I will most definitely be stopping here again for dinner. Great food, great service (very aware and tentative to my allergies) and on the sweetest street in AMS. Obsessed!!

Amazing environment, food, and above all else- service! Oleg treated us very luxuriously, being very attentive and friendly the whole time we were eating. The food was phenomenal and very affordable. Strongly recommend the beef Carpaccio and the Scallops for appetizer, and the Pork Belly for the main course (it’s extremely tender and cooked to perfection; the mashed potatoes compliment the dish and its sauce very well). We even got to meet the owner as well! Overall, a great experience which you should definitely give the time to :)

Great service and the best Italian food I have had in years!!!

Elena and the whole staff welcomed the four of us very well and the food was great: vongole veraci are really veraci, ragu buonissimo and all the portions of primo piato were well served, quality pasta and al dente. We had a great time!

Wonderful little gem ~5min from the Anne Frank Annex. Extremely authentic high end Italian cuisine which was surprising as many of the other restaurants in the area do not have the same food quality. Entire staff was from Italy as best as I could tell and it was a wonderful experience.

The best Italian restaurant in all of Amsterdam, the pasta is super fresh and the service is excellent. I totally recommend it.

Meh. We were looking for seating on the sidewalk and this place was wide open. The menu was tough to understand, but we figured things out. My daughter got a bowl of spaghetti with red sauce. It was fantastic. I ordered the risotto with mushrooms. It was aggressively mushroomy and the server said we should try the truffle topper (12 euro extra). Be advised, everyone is required to order an entree. We paid 102 euro for a bowl of spaghetti and a plate of risotto and two drinks. At the end, the server asked us for a tip. I did enjoy the limoncello and ice cream shot they gave us (for free) after dinner. That was a nice touch. Overall, it felt like a tourist trap, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Food was only okay, although presentation was very good. Bread was said to be four slices, but was actually one slice cut into four pieces. Carbonara was good but guanciale didn’t have to be fried so much. But the service was great. They were very graceful with admitting mistakes, and they don’t kick you out when it’s late like the Germans do. Gracious and amicable. Sparkling water was San Benedetto which was actually better than San Pellegrino.

Some of the best pasta I have ever had!! The Carbonara was fresh, the perfect amount of salty and Fabio provided an amazing service from start to finish. The prosecco, vodka and lemon ice-slush was a fantastic palate cleanser to end my meal. Thank you Fabio!!

The food was mostly good, especially the scallops and carbonara. The restaurant itself is trendy and clean. The service however was sub-par, poor greeting, server was confused and dismissive about allergies resulting in half service. We never had a drink refilled, we weren’t offered the basics like parm on our pasta (despite other patrons receiving it) and overall felt we were ignored by our server. There was zero warmth, it seemed more that our (American) existence irritated him. The rest of the food was moderate. In a city full of beautiful, interesting and tasty restaurant, this is an easy one to pass on.

I've been here twice during my stay in Amsterdam. Excellent food, fast and very friendly service.

Very cool ambiance, music was very upbeat. Excellent wine, tasty food. The staff was super welcoming, espescially our personal waitress, Letitia. Fortunately for us the kitchen was open a bit longer than most places in the street because we took a bit longer to enjoy the atmosphere in the street.
