Everyone say that french people are complicated, but i went there with my girlfriend and it was amazing. Food and drink were really nice. The waiters were friendly. Really good experience. We wish a merry christmas to the restaurant’s team !

The most quaint, cosy and friendly local Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. The food was authentic and the service was amazing, they were so nice and friendly! We felt very welcomed all the way from Australia!!

A superb experience. The restaurant is intimate, with very pleasant servers who always have a genuine smile. The food is delicious. I highly recommend it!!! My only slight complaint, as I'm sensitive to noise, is that when the restaurant is full, it can get quite noisy.

If you’re looking for a great spot to eat in Amsterdam, this Italian restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food is fresh and flavorful, with classic dishes like pasta and pizza that taste genuinely homemade. Prices are fair and feel normal for the city, nothing exaggerated. THIS IS NOT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT. I've lived here for two years and have never eaten so badly. I ordered tagliatelle with disgusting porcini mushrooms; the mushrooms were clearly frozen, flavorless, and served with a white sauce that was probably pre-packaged. I also tried my friend's linguine with clams, and it was just water and broth. This is clearly a place that pretends to be Italian, but it's NOT. They even gave me dirty looks and said NO when I finally asked for tap water! Simply shameful! If I could give a 0, I would.

Rafi and his team are wonderful, amazing service and super friendly. The food even exceeds this! The Nduja and Burrata was one of the best pastas I’ve eaten and I have lived in Italy. The wine and desserts are also amazing. If you are in Amsterdam, I recommend to go.

I became very ill after eating their “gluten-free” pasta. I informed the waiter that I have coeliac disease and cannot have any gluten, even in small amounts. I was assured the dish was safe, but I had a severe reaction later that night. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone with food allergies or coeliac disease, as the gluten-free labeling does not seem reliable.

We were visiting Amsterdam for vacation from Canada, thought to have a nice dinner for our last night. The waitress was very rude and scolded me for drinking some tap water I had in my bag. I had purchased a drink, meal, and dessert. She then abandoned our table and had another server take over (she was lovely). The waitress continued to give dirty looks from across the room. It made the environment very uncomfortable. An unfortunate place to spend our last night in Amsterdam.

Great restaurant, and above all a top boss

Pizza and pasta was perfect, location is great!

The waiter who was a bald, middle-aged man, was repeatedly inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable throughout my visit. While I was simply trying to place my order, he lifted my glasses off my face and put them on my forehead so that he could see my eyes and said, “That’s better,” which was an immediate red flag. Later, while I was on the phone with a friend, he tapped me on the head and placed his hand on my neck and told me to “eat” instead of talking to my friend on the phone. This is completely unacceptable behavior as a waiter towards a customer. I was alone and he was completely taking advantage of me and the situation in a forceful way (Keep in mind I am also 30 years younger than this man). I am a young boy in my 20’s who’s traveling alone and then I have this waiter who is double my age, who will not leave me alone or be respectful or professional. No waiter in their profession has the right to put any sort of hands on someone. Then 5 minutes later he came back to my table and started asking me personal questions like where I was staying and what road I was staying on. This made me feel very unsafe and even more vulnerable. I felt so uncomfortable that I ended up leaving early, didn’t finish my food, and had to tell him that I had a boyfriend to get him to back off. This experience was upsetting and completely ruined what should have been a relaxing meal. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially solo diners.

I had such a delicious meal here! Highly recommended! I was a bit taken aback by the waitress who seemed a bit unimpressed, but the other staff were very friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

A few months ago we had dinner here with some friends and what a great time we had! We had some starters to share and some main courses which we also shared. The portions were good in size, I personally found the charcuterie a bit less, but that is personal taste. At the end we all wanted a scroppino which unfortunately was gone, but unbelievable, the (I think) owner or manager then went and made it by hand! Really great service, thanks!

The food was really delicious, that is of course the most important thing. The atmosphere was fine, but a little feedback was that the door was often opened and closed which made it quite cold.

Super delicious pizza pollo pesto!!! And what nice service!

Always on the lookout for a trattoria with a relaxed, quiet vibe, serving italian signature dishes prepared with care by people who respect the cuisine. Rafi is just such a place. A local place, away from the tourists, and the 2 pasta dishes we had were great. Go for the "local" vibe and good food, and you won't be disappointed. We'll be back. And now, 3 months later, we ARE back. This time, Rafi is rammed, full of local s having a good time. The bible is friendly and relaxed. The pizza here is thin crust .. wafer thin, and the toppings are full of flavour .. Pollo Pesto, and Quatro Stagione were both very good. We'll be back, again.

I thought the food and wine were mediocre, the atmosphere was similar. Service was ok. Unfortunately I can't make more of it 😏

Came here for valentines dinner with my boyfriend. We sat down and were served a appetitizer bread but were then asked was it okay to move table to sit a bigger party (I had made a booking by the way). We didn’t get any help moving our water or bread, coats bags etc. The food was lovely, the lasagna is quite small so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re starving. Good wine menu. Table share really close together, it’s a very small restaurant but I feel like they may have tried to fit in more tables and chairs than they should have. The servers kept hitting off me as they walked by.

Blessed! Incredibly tasty pasta, crispy pizza. Next time I will take a different pasta, because they have a delicious selection. Nice atmosphere, pleasant service.

Sleepy pizza delivered very late, it was undercooked, cold salami in the supermarket is tastier, way too much dirty cheese, weak lasagna fell apart and dirty tomato sous, I had a stomach ache one night

We had a lasagna and a melanzane delivered. We each took one bite of our respective meal and immediately threw out the whole meal. Absolutely disgusting! Super oily, burnt and I don't know what this was, but it had nothing to do with lasagna, melanzane, or Italian in general. Unfortunately a complete waste of money!!!

Worst Italian I’ve had in Amsterdam. The bruschetta was soggy, like it had been submerged in water & the pizza was as cold as a fridge. Shocking..

The food has been very nice ! You should definitely try the tiramisu. A special note to the chef that has made great efforts to accommodate the food to my allergies. This is so nice and made a big difference to my meal. Thank you so much !

Really bang average if not below average experience. Granted it was a Monday night so emptier than usual. Firstly, you can’t opt for tap water, you have to pay for still or sparkling which by the standards of everything else is a joke. Another dining couple had their pet kitten on the table which isn’t hygienic and the waitress was holding the cat in between serving. The wine was not bad, actually probably the best thing about the dinner. We opted for a pizza and pasta dish which for the price was not worth it as you can buy better in the supermarket. The pasta and ingredients were not fresh at all and it was served lukewarm to the point it wasn’t worth eating. The waiter cleared the half eaten plate and wasn’t even prompted to check if our food was okay so we politely paid and then gave our feedback at the end and swiftly left.

Fantastic! Wow! We loved the food and atmosphere. Amazing service as well. We were in Amsterdam for only 4 nights and ate here twice which we never do. The 3 of us tried many different appetizers, pastas and pizzas and all were excellent. Even though we are from Texas we felt like locals since Rafi and crew was so friendly. Make a reservation! I recommend this excellent Italian restaurant to anyone who is nearby and far.

We live nearby and the staff is very helpful and service-oriented, friendly and the restaurant “dog friendly” I'm missing some vegan options on the menu (3 stars) who knows, maybe a small point for improvement, otherwise no real background music for a quiet meal. Tasty pizza for there or take away.. Good wines.. prosecco a little less but many drinks on the menu to compensate. Don't ask for a glass of water, only serve bottled water. Great Italian in the Jordan. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming.

We stayed one night on the Brouwersgracht and were looking for an opportunity outside the hustle and bustle where you could enjoy a nice meal. Well, we found it. We sat outside on the terrace, at first the weather was lovely, but it started to rain just as we were sipping wine. Unfortunately there was no room inside, but the very friendly staff did everything they could to ensure that we sat dry under the parasol. We had a delicious meal, the pastas are fantastic.

First time there and really loved it The pizza was amazing

Visited again after 2 years. Absolutely no regrets. The food tastes better than in Italy. Personally, I like the sea bass the most as a fish package with herbs and vegetables from the oven "Spigola". And Rafi is always up for a chat. It remains highly recommended. And when the weather is dry, the children can play in the playground opposite.

Best pizza in Amsterdam, have eaten there 10 times already! In addition to the food and the hospitable informal service, the restaurant is located in a very nice, child-friendly and relaxed part of the Jordaan. Highly recommended!

Probably the best pizza, I was esting for years!

Our experience was nothing but perfection! We were visiting my sister and father in law and the 7 of us had made a reservation with our two young children, 3 and 6. They insisted they eat outside on their own, we agreed since we could see them directly through the window. Rafi took it upon himself to go out and serve them himself and was so friendly and sweet to them. Beyond that the food was delicious and service was great! The carpaccio was amazing; the pesto may have been the best I’ve ever had, so creamy. Carbonara was perfect! What a great meal and experience, will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone!

Ordered Pizza on uber eats and delivered fast. Both Pizzas were fresh and very tasty! I will order again :)

What a disappointing experience! Ordered two pizzas (€32,=...) which were lukewarm and the size of a children's pizza..... Burnt bottoms... Totally uninspired! Well...this was really the last time Rafi...

Wonderful dinner here. We were on a 5-day trip to Amsterdam and staying in the area, found this restaurant on the last night. The lasagna was about the best I had, they had it spiced up exactly correctly. My wife had the prawns in Marsala and those were divine. Had we found this on our first night in Amsterdam, we would have returned multiple times - it was that delicious.

Our first evening in the city and picked Rafi from Google map close to our B&B at random. OK, the chef was poorly and only had pizza but it was lovely.

Wonderful place to spend some time. No frills but excellent food and wine. Children playing, parents having some peace and quiet, etc. Feels like a community center where you like to come

Everything from the antipasti to the coffee and desserts was excellent. The sauces and the pasta are exquisite. I can only recommend the place, we will be back soon.

Lovely Italian Pizzeria with warm authentic feel and wonderful pizza

Ordered pizza salami via ubereats. In the 15 years that I have lived in Amsterdam I have tried quite a few different restaurants and by far this was the dirtiest and dryest pizza I have ever tried. Can't believe this place has positive reviews, what bad taste you have. I just got back from holiday and after all those plane meals I felt like having a delicious pizza. The airplane meals were better than this pizza. Unbelievable. Because I was very hungry and the pizza tasted too dry, I added mayonnaise and sirachi. Called the restaurant and all they could say was that I can get a free dessert the next time I order something from them. As if I would try something again after this pizza :s

The art of good Italian product. With my girlfriend we opted for simple, Lasagna and Pasta Carbonara. Simple, effective, the product is well crafted, the cheese is tasty, the dish is unique, the flavors and presentation are there. In addition we had a Tiramisu, too bad it is good but presented in a canteen glass, it breaks the charm. With a glass of wine and a coke for two we left for €20 and a few each. Honest.

Nice Italian restaurant, very tasty at a fair price

Went here for dinner on a Friday and was absolutely pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. Located in a quaint street in the Jordaan. The moment we sat down, they served some homemade focaccia with olives. We shared some shrimps and ravioli, pappardelle with tenderloin, quattro formaggi pizza, and tiramisu for dessert. Everything tasted delicious and portion sizes were also good. Would definitely come back!
