Lovely little Italian restaurant. Friendly staff and an ever changing menu. Not one of those menus with 100's of choices. Excellent wine list as well. It was a great meal in a really nice environment.

We loved this place. The pasta was excellent, service was exceptionally friendly, wine was great. Reservations are a must - it is very small and they don’t really take walk-ins. We will be back.

I can only warmly recommend Il Pacioccone. They didn't have many dishes on the menu, but the dishes they did have were good! We had pappardelle al ragù twice for the main course, which was really very good and tasted like it had been prepared by Nonna! And then we had Linguine con Gamberi, which tasted very fresh! Unfortunately the staff wasn't that hospitable. I can only recommend the restaurant.

The restaurant delivers exactly what its slogan promises: "This is not a fake Italian restaurant." The food is very well-prepared, the caponata come at the perfect temperature, and they even serve you artisanal bread to enjoy with them. The pasta dishes are expertly made and generously portioned! And the dessert was the perfect finishing touch, bringing all the flavors of Italy to the menu. As for the atmosphere, the place is small and accommodates only a few people, which could be an issue if you don’t have a reservation. However, this also makes the restaurant feel cozy and inviting.

Unfortunately very inflexible. We wanted to eat with six people, unfortunately there was no room in the main restaurant, we were supposed to eat in the pizzeria but... unfortunately it wasn't possible to order food from the restaurant 5 meters away. Very unfortunate. We then decided on another restaurant.

Urolig koselig liten italiensk restaurant sentralt i Amsterdam. Atmosfæren var veldig bra, drinkene veldig godt og godt utvalg av vin. Maten var også veldig god! Eneste minuset her var at jeg fikk hummeren min under kokt, så jeg kunne nesten bare spise halve. Fikk så vidt et sorry fra kelneren, noe som burde være et minimum med tanke på prisen.

Fantastic small and cozy restaurant in the center of Amsterdam. The food (most of it) was disturbingly good - as if we were in Italy. The drinks were very good and they have a good selection of wine! However, I unfortunately got my lobster undercooked, so I could only eat some of it. It was then almost an excuse to get, which should have been the least to expect really.

Must visit als je in Amsterdam een écht Italiaans restaurant wil bezoeken. Een paar jaar geleden langs geweest, maar niet meteen plaats. Geen probleem voor deze mensen, ze maakten meteen van een tafel van 4, waar slechts 2 mensen aan zaten, een tafel van 2. Aperitief en hapjes heerlijk, hoofdgerecht (pizza en pasta) fantastisch en alles vers bereid. Tafel naast ons nam een tiramisu als dessert, maar helaas waren het de laatste, nogmaals een bewijs van de versheid. Dan maar geopteerd voor een ander dessert, ook top! ‘s Anderendaags nogmaals geweest, wederom werd een nieuwe tafel voor ons klaargemaakt, nu buiten op het terras. Iemand van het personeel daagde niet op, maar hier merkten we niets van. Opnieuw superlekker gegeten, ditmaal wél de tiramisu kunnen bestellen, smaakte nog beter dan ie eruit zag! Héél vriendelijk personeel, Italiaans bloed stroomt door hun aderen. Doen alles om hun klanten te verzorgen.

Must visit if you want to visit a real Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. Visited a few years ago, but couldn't find a place right away. No problem for these people, they immediately turned a table of 4, where only 2 people were sitting, into a table of 2. Aperitif and snacks delicious, main course (pizza and pasta) fantastic and everything freshly prepared. Table next to us had a tiramisu for dessert, but unfortunately it was the last, further proof of the freshness. Then we opted for another dessert, also great! Went again the next day and once again a new table was prepared for us, now outside on the terrace. Someone from the staff didn't show up, but we didn't notice this. Once again we had a fantastic meal, this time I was able to order the tiramisu, it tasted even better than it looked! Very friendly staff, Italian blood flows through their veins. Do everything they can to take care of their customers.

Delicious food, pure and fresh. The waiter asked us to wait a while before eating bread as fresh bread arrived. Definitely worth the wait ❣️ We ate a delicious steak with grilled potatoes and mixed lettuce. Friendly service, nice relaxed atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

Honest and well-prepared Italian cuisine to try

May be a victim of its success which for me is not deserved.... lukewarm dish and not or little salty, there were no longer certain dishes. Obligation to take only one tiramisu for two because there was supposedly no more, 5 minutes later the next table had a tiramisu, in short very disappointed, only positive point friendly staff. Small restaurant and queue to get a place, so when you are seated the door stays open all the time, bad experience

I don’t get all these positive reviews. The food was at best eatable. We took l’amatriciana and la pasta con i scampi. They were bland, mine was too salty, his lacked the actual sauce. Their tiramisu was too thick and too sweet and too wet at the bottom. I had better ones from the supermarket. And their toilet was horrible. Tourist trap is my verdict.

From the service with Arabella and Cosimo to the good cuisine of the Italian/Bahian Chef Salvatore, we recommend this little piece of Italy in Amsterdam. 10 out of 10!!!

I recently had dinner at the Pacioccone restaurant with my group of friends and we were deeply impressed by both the very good cuisine and the impeccable service. Attentive and knowledgeable staff made sure our meal was memorable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our satisfaction. I can never recommend Pacioccone enough for a fantastic dining experience.

My food was absolutely incredible! Great taste and the portion size was great. We also had very good quality bread included. We were a big group of 6 people and were able to reserve the night before which is great! We had to wait a few minutes before coming in but this is very understandable and not a problem for me. Inside, the vibe was lovely… great lighting but not too dark, the small details such as the plates food was served on was also very much appreciated. We also received limoncello shots at the end of our meal, lovely hosts! All in all, i would recommend.

I simply can't recommend this fantastic little Italian restaurant enough. The food was absolutely sensational (the eggplant parmesan and truffle ravioli in particular were dishes I will think about for a long time), the service impeccable and the atmosphere cosy and authentic. I will definitely be back.

In a beautiful location, delicious Italian food. A bit pricey. A different menu every day. For pizzas you can go one door further.

What an incredible find! Truly authentic Italian and everything was delicious. Pastas, steak, lamb, olive oil, wine. If you are looking for great Italian, this would be a great choice. Make sure to make a reservation!

An Italian restaurant, the food is good, a little particular in the way of presenting the dishes and adapting them to the country.

Overall excellent. Nice break from the touristy chains and "pizza steakhouse" or "Argentinian steak" places that dot the entire city center and seem to be an overpriced carbon copy of one another. We enjoyed 3 pasta dishes, steak, salmon, and meatballs. All were excellent, and especially the pasta. I would recommend this place to any Italian food lover. Overheard conversation between diners, one was Italian and the other a frequent traveler to Italy both commenting positively on this place. Definitely not cheap, but worth the money.

Reservation for 12/24/24 in the evening. To have a good Christmas, make a small reservation in the restaurant in advance via the internet on the official website. Arrive on site at the scheduled time. We see that there are no places available. Then she seats us on a table of 8 people in the middle of the restaurant. At the same time a place of 2 becomes available. I ask to be sure this table. And she refuses me, saying I have reservations “like us ma’am”. We ended up wanting to order a plate of charcuterie with cheese for an aperitif. Impossible, they don't do that anymore... We suddenly ask for a pizza and it's impossible, there isn't one either. So Italian restaurant without pizza ok. The lady comes back and tells us to come with her, she offers us pizza but on the other side of the restaurant in another room. A little weird. We pass through the kitchens which are to vomit and we arrive in a “restaurant” room which offers pizzas. The new manager of this pizza establishment is very strange. Our coat and chao! Here is our 2024 Christmas story in the evening! Avoid the Italian restaurant which is not one! Answer: I am referring to the review of your restaurant. With charcuterie board etc etc. Ridiculous opinion but your evening in the summer too when we reserve a table and our reservation has not been taken into account. Knowing full well that it’s Christmas Eve! Poor management of your reception capacity 🙃

Small piece of lasagna without meat was 24 euros, also ordered a pizza with some spicy sausage, only could taste tomato sauce and cheese the bread was burnt. Prices, portions and taste are ridiculous.

We chose this place to celebrate a special occasion and left sadly disappointed. Unnecessarily hyped by reviews and our hotel concierge, the food was mid, the seasoning was unbalanced and took ages to come (the restaurant was pretty empty). Thankfully, the staff was nice, but it’s too expensive for the mid-quality we got.

I went there with 5 of my friends, we had pizza and it was really delicious, much better even than most pizzerias in Italy. Perfect and smiling service, we will definitely be back!

Zeer beperkte kaart conoció a nauwelijks vegetarisch aanbod. Smaak van producten niet bijzonder. Ruimte lawaaig en hoge prijzen. Menú muy limitado sin apenas opciones vegetarianas. Sabor de productos no especiales. Habitación ruidosa y precios altos.

We wanted to end our trip to Amsterdam with a great food, so we've picked this restaurant after seeing great reviews and we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely amazing! I've decided to go for something I don't usually or ever order, but I wanted to try a different dish and the risk was 100% worth taking! The atmosphere was chilled, you could hear Italian language, which made it extra special as it made you feel like you were in Italy. The gentleman who and the lady who were serving us were lovely and very helpful. The food was a bit pricy but it is guaranteed to have a tasty, proper Italian meal, so we didn't mind to pay that at all. The portions were not big looking but after we've finished our food, we were actually quite full and couldn't fit in any dessert. They were very generous with alcohol. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a nice evening and be sure you'll eat fantastic food.

Best hidden gems in Amsterdam for Italian food, had the Penne and rock fish. It was so well made and flavourful. Superb wine. Will be back again. Tiramisu was delicious

I've been to this restaurant a few times now. The food is always perfect. The only downfall is lack of cocktails, but it can be forgiven when everything else is done so well! Staff is friendly, food is delectable, restaurant is clean and welcoming.

Cosy "real" Italian restaurant. They say so, not a "fake" and it's true. The menu is compact, always a good indication. I had a Burrata salad, Penne al'Amatriciana, and a glass of Primaio. The red wine was well served, the Burrata salad excellent and the Penne al'Amatriciana was good, but should have been a lot more spicy, I could 've given this to my mum who hates spices. Overall, I had a good dinner and I might return!

It's better to order you pizza here in the weekend. The young guys that work in the weekend don't burn your pizza.

Good Italian menu with starter + pasta + main course. Only one regret, don't take the Porchetta, it's not one, just a huge piece of ham with a rolled up rind of fat. It's pink like a big slice of ham. Afterwards there is enough to eat given the thickness, but it is frustrating when you expect a thin slice filled with herbs and rather gray in color like a real porchetta. So, despite my remark, not even a coffee offered to apologize for it, just an “ah good, yet we’ve always done it like that”

Ravioli with butter and sage €24. This is enough to choose another restaurant, I don't think the dish is prepared with sage grown on a plateau bordering the lands of paradise.

No vayas a este restaurante si esperas un buen servicio. No entendieron nada de nuestra orden correcta. Un plato principal vino antes del arranque. Habíamos pedido dos entrantes, pero solo uno. Y después de 60 minutos más nos fuimos sin haber recibido nunca nuestros platos principales. Sospechan que fueron entregados a otra mesa. Lo que realmente comimos era sabroso pero caro. Una mala noche para ellos pero hambrienta para nosotros. No hay oferta de descuento como disculpa.

I went to this restaurant a few days ago with friends and what can I say, the food is really good, I dare say better than some Italian restaurants. Every day it offers different specialties with a menu of the day that varies based on availability. If you are looking for a real Italian restaurant with Italian products in Amsterdam this is the right place. I highly recommend it!

Il Pacioccone è molto più di un semplice ristorante. È un'esperienza fantastica, ti fa riscoprire i sapori della vera cucina italiana. Ogni piatto è fatto molto beme, preparato con passione e maestria. L'accoglienza calorosa del personale ti fa sentire come a casa. Cambiano il menù quasi ogni giorno in base hai prodotti fresco che hanno. Devi dire che ci hanno salvati nelle varie sere trascorse ad Amsterdam. Assolutamente da provare! La cuoca è di Norcia - top!

Off the beaten track but near the Central Station in Amsterdam - an excellent choice for delicious Italian cuisine at a reasonable price. Dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. A new menu each evening! The cook in the back was a lady from Perugia and the server from Padua. We loved it. Delicious and worth it!

What an amazing restaurant! They change the menu each and every day which is impressive. I had the salmon with potatoes and salad. My wife had the lamb chops. The food was out of this world! Of the 11 days spent in the Netherlands, this was one of two restaurants that I would recommend to anyone!!! Theu deserve a 5+ star review!! Oh, and yes, very romantic as well!

Real Italian, everthing is so delicious

Nice ambiance but I didn't think the food was too good. The papardelle was stuck together, was undercooked, and the ragu sauce didn't have much flavor. My dish also wasn't very hot. For the price I was expecting it to be tastier and better presented. The staff was kinda rude too. He asked how our food was and I asked if the sauce was fresh because it didn't have much flavor and the meat was dry. He just said it's fresh and left.
