We stumbled upon this place by accident.The vibe is warm and cozy, and the service was absolutely super. If you're hungry and craving authentic Thai food with great portion sizes, this is the spot. We loved the fish cakes, yellow Thai curry, and the mixed meat and seafood fried rice with noodles. Everything was delicious.

We had kaeng panaeng and pad med mamuang both very tasty, first dish listed has a 🌶️ rating and rightly so it is spicy but i find just the right level of spice and the second dish no spice but still very tasty with the cashew nuts and sauce! Beef kraprauw is very good, I asked to make it very spicy. The portion is so generous that I felt like one plate is enough for two girls. Thai milk tea and ice cream is not so good. May try other dishes in the future.

Came to this place a month after having a vacation in Thailand as I missed this cuisine. And oh my god the food here was incredible! The taste is as good as in Thailand, the portions are generous, and the mango sticky rice had an amazing ripe mango that made me almost tear up. I’ll happily come back here 🩵

A very enjoyable experience. We loved the food and had a great time. The staff were friendly and attentive, doing their best to make us feel welcome. We ordered the Tom Kha soup—my favorite—along with Penang curry and a noodle dish. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious.

Could never go wrong with pad Thai. The dessert mango sticky rice is really good, a savory mix of sweet and salty.

The food was really good overall. I had the pad kee mao with chicken, and it definitely leans on the spicier side—so if you enjoy a bit of heat, I’d highly recommend it. The portion size offers great value for money and is more than sufficient for one person.

It was so good we had to come back on the second day of our visit. Thom Ka was perfectly balanced with lots of tender chicken! Thai iced tea perfection. Wonderful customer service and Gluten Free Pad Thai!

We had the pad thai with chicken, a beef stir with cashews, papaya salad and shrimp curry and not to forget, thai milk tea. Everything was amazing and tasted very good. Spice level was good too. I cant handle spicy food too well, but this was not a problem with any of these dishes. Service was great too! Super friendly people.

Despite its fairly high Google rating, the food here was quite average. Many reviewers mentioned that the spice level is toned down for European tastes, and I would add that the richness and depth of flavor also seem adjusted for tourists. This food will not transport you back to Thailand. The yellow curry was very basic and unremarkable, low effort for a high price. The traditional pink seafood soup was better, but it contained too little seafood considering the cost. And €20 for a green papaya salad is simply unreasonable. For the price, I expected more generous portions and higher-quality ingredients. Service was okay, not warm and kind as many people mentioned. They also forgot to add tofu to one of the curries. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

Tucked away in Rokin — central enough that you feel accomplished for “finding a spot in the city,” but hidden enough that you’ll walk past it at least once and blame Google Maps instead of yourself. Consider this your reminder to actually drop a pin because future-you will absolutely forget where it was. Pad Thai? Hits harder than my Monday morning anxiety. Tom Yum? The bomb — spicy, sour, and spiritually awakening. Prices are so reasonable I wondered if they accidentally charged me in 2010 currency. Food comes out suspiciously fast. Either they’ve mastered efficiency or someone in the kitchen has a time machine. Warm service, zero judgment for baby chaos, and the place is spacious enough to park a stroller (two max before congestion level: Jakarta). Party of 8? Fits perfectly. If you're wandering around Rokin hungry and confused, this is the place to land. Mark it on your Google Maps now.

This a little gem, the food is 1st class. The service is fast and friendly. I had the Tom Yum soup and Red curry, both were full of flavour, but subtle. The Pad Thai and chicken satay are very good . The restaurant is a little down at heel, but don't let that put you off.

searching for a Thai restaurant not too far from the city centre showed me this restaurant, and I liked the reviews. I had my personal favourite Thai food, the Tom Yum Kung soup - which was spicy but could've had a bit more. Followed by Kaeng Panaeng with duck, a red curry style dish. Served with a good portion of rice. I liked both dishes but I felt the restaurant tempered the spiciness a bit, for tourist customers. It's their good right of course. Service is impeccable and the restaurant has a friendly and comfortable feeling.

It's difficult to find a authentic thai place these days. They serve spicy when it should be spicy. If it's a basic dish with 3 ingredients, you'll get the basic dish with 3 ingredients. Barely any westernised dishes. Just a great legit thai restaurant! Been here 3 times and it's always spot on! Mamasan, please keep your chef!

I work close to this restaurant, and decided to give it a chance. Not coming back due to some reasons. I ordered the pad krapao with pork, and it was soupy (too much liquid on the bottom of the dish), not spicy at all (there were 3-4 pieces of mild chili on the dish), with very little thai basil on it. Overall unbalanced, just salty. A little more care on prep would go a long way. Being a touristic place I didn't have high hopes for authenticity but the dish was not tasty at all. On top of that, the waitress was rude. Seemed offended when I asked for tap water and denied it. So I ordered an overpriced 3.20 euro small still water bottle. When I asked for the bill, the waitress again was rude when I showed my debit card. Saying: "no, cash?" when I said no, she frowned and went to pick up the terminal. The spring rolls were good, though, that's the reason for 2 stars, not one. For 30 euro (the total of my bill) I expected better food and decent service. I got mediocre food and rude service.

Really authentic and delicious food, just like in Thailand! Best Thai-food I have had in the Netherlands. If you want it spicy, they will make it spicy. If you prefer it a bit milder they will cater for that. Lovely staff and wonderful friendly service. Very good prices too. Truly recommended!

Flavorless, poor portions, probably frozen food being served. Green curry with chicken has almost no chicken at all. Everything has that preprepared taste.

After having enjoyed Rosa's Thai in Greenwich, London a lot, I told myself I had to find a nice Thai place closer to home. Well, I'm very happy having tried Baibua! The home made ice tea was very tasty and can last an entire meal. The deep fried spring rolls and dumplings for starters were crispy and tasty. The main dishes, red curry and a chicken stir fry with basil, were delicious too, and the staff was friendly and helped pick one of the dishes. What I like a lot about Thai food, is the relatively large amount of veggies compared to other cuisines. At Baibua, you can get extra vegetables for a few euros. That resulted in a pretty large serving of veggies with the red curry, at least for eating out. I'll definitely come back to try out more of their dishes 😋 Update: I've been here twice more since, and tried the green curry and the Pad Thai, both with chicken, and with extra veggies for the Pad Thai. Beware of chilly peppers, especially the green ones! Not a problem with Pad Thai, as that one is mild with a subtle peanut taste. All very tasty, looking forward to trying more.

Para ser honesto, esto fue horrible - y no voy a recomendar ir allí Pedimos dos entrantes - costillas de repuesto y dumplings (pangsits tailandeses) Las costillas de repuesto estaban increíblemente secas y las albóndigas eran muy grasientas (fritas) y tenían demasiada masa). Ambos llegaron a menos de 2 minutos de ordenar, por lo que no hay mucha atención a los detalles. También pedimos dos Pad Thais diferentes y un fideos borrachos, que llegaron todos mientras comían los entrantes! Una vez más no se prestó atención a los detalles, algunas verduras estaban demasiado cocidas, mientras que otras estaban mal cocidas. (¡Admito que los langostinos se cocinaron a la perfección!) , y todo estaba cubierto de demasiada salsa. Lamentablemente olvidé tomar fotografías, pero créeme, se veía aburrido y muy poco apetitoso El servicio tampoco fue fantástico, por ejemplo trataron de limpiar nuestras copas antes de que hubiéramos terminado nuestras bebidas, por lo que nos sentimos muy apresurados El interior era triste, los asientos incómodos... . sin duda no recomendaría!

We coincidentally bumped in to this restaurant. Very happy with all the foods we ordered. The taste, portion and price are proportional. The level of spicy is moderate for me as Asian born, but for Dutch probably choose 1 pepper. The service is friendly. The food came in the good timing. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood.

It was my first meal in Amsterdam and unfortunately each dish we ordered was underwhelming. We ordered and they cooked 4 dishes in about 6-7 minutes. What was alarming was that the chicken was still raw, probably due to them cooking it so fast. We sent it back and they were not apologetic or cared at all. The flavors did not taste right and was weary of eating their food due to the raw chicken. The service matches their food.

We ate inside, placed our order and only half the order came to our table. We ended up being grateful because the food we did get (pad thai and some soup) was average at best. Also, the water was almost 10 euros for one bottle. Probably wouldn't recommend.
