From the service to the food this was easily the best meal I had during my visit to Amsterdam. It’s tucked away in a quieter area with a very warm set up. They’ve created an incredible atmosphere with beautiful decor. The food was delicious and provided an authentic overall experience. Most of all the service was super friendly, engaged and incredibly helpful.

I had such a special dining experience at Raan Phad Thai. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into the chef’s home. The chef, who is also the owner, was cooking alongside his assistant chef, while one server took care of every table and made wonderful recommendations on what to order and how to complement each dish. I had the Tom Yum and Gaeng Kiew Wan (Thai Green Curry) each dish was incredibly unique, fresh, and full of flavor. The chef took his time preparing everything and you could truly taste each individual ingredient and the care that went into every flavor. Nothing felt rushed or mass-produced. The intimate setting, personalized service, and incredible food made this such a memorable experience. It genuinely felt like I was dining in the chef’s home rather than a restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food that feels personal, intentional, and made with heart, I highly recommend Raan Phad Thai!

Lovely place. Quiet, low tasteful lighting, and not cramped - all perfect for my needs Food was delicious, service was great, and bathrooms were clean. I would recommend the taking the seafood, or tofu over the beef options

Phad really took care of me as well as the chef. One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been! The green curry with chicken and shrimp roll were full of flavor!

Say down for a quick bite of an appetizer or two when the restaurant was half empty, and was told I needed to order a main. When I asked where this requirement was posted (it's not online and not printed on their menu) I was just told they don't have to post it anywhere and it's just a requirement of the restaurant. I walked out.

The food at Raan Phad Thai, and overall atmosphere, was astonishingly beautiful! The cosy restaurant had amazing service and I would definitely recommend!

We stumbled across Raan Phad Thai and goodness are we glad we did! The staff was carefully considerate of dietary restrictions and worked with us to find foods that worked! We are both gluten free and ate delicious meals. It doesn’t seem like much from the street, but once you step inside, what a fun spot! We will be returning if in the area again.

We discovered this restaurant quite by chance; it might look unassuming from the outside, but it's definitely a real hidden gem! The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and absolutely delicious. You can tell that they put a lot of passion into their cooking. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good food. We'll definitely be back!

I have never eaten such tasteless Thai food. We had a starter mix of fish cakes, spring rolls, and satay... the fish cakes were very soggy, the spring rolls had hardly any taste, and neither did the sauce. The satay also had no Asian/Thai satay sauce. Pad Thai... noodles stuck together without sauce (no taste), not even a chopstick with it. No music in the restaurant. The waiter forgot his deodorant this morning... he could smell it when he walked past or was rinsing glasses. Nice location, cozy inside. But ultimately, very disappointed.

What a great experience! The entrance is a little hidden, but once you are inside it is a really cozy place with excellent Service. That was the best Masaman Curry I had outside of Thailand. 10/10!

A lovely boutique Thai restaurant with amazing food. Nine tables enables a level of personal touch not seen frequently. Traditional and authentic. Can’t wait to come back. The Pad Thai and Pad Prik King are a must.

No connection with orignal thai food

Small and cozy place with lots of character. Tried the red curry and it was delicious. On top Rosalia came to the restaurant to have dinner. What a night!

In a quiet, hidden corner of the central island lies this Thai restaurant, featuring a long counter and a fully open kitchen run by a chef and his assistant. With elegance and calm, the chef serves dishes at a steady pace, skillfully and tastefully. The spiciness was just right for us Westerners, and the flavors were rich and satisfying. The service was polite and cheerful, and the place was warm and very welcoming (it was raining outside!). Well done!!

Love this place!! It’s a real hidden gem. The front of the restaurant is easy to miss and the door is kind of small in a cute way. This is true authentic Thai food. Complete with the signature Thai smile. The staff us friendly. The food is great. The interior feels homey. Go try it out for yourself!!

I was very disappointed with the food. Having returned from Thailand recently, the curries and wok noodles we tried were subpar. The pad see ew came with some basic, dry and burnt noodles and not the typical flat ones of the dish. The pad ped was flavourless and with a runny sauce. The spring rolls left a lot to be desired. The 2 stars because the people are nice and the staff is attentive. Far from original or even good Thai food. There are other places in Amsterdam that are much better.

We went there based on the reviews and overall rating, and were very disappointed. The food was really bad, and to make matters worse, they forced us to order a main course with our appetizers for three of the four of us. When it came time to pay, since we were two couples, we asked to split the bill in half, but the waiter was very reluctant; we had to insist quite a bit.

Came for dinner alone while travelling for work! Warm welcome and the food was amazing. The restaurant is quite dark and you are extremely close to the chefs doing their magic.

Come here! Believe the ratings. The food is delicious, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant's decorations are beautiful. Once you step down into the entrance (don't miss it! It's a 2/3 height door), you're ready to eat. The kitchen shares the small space with the seating area, so it's a sensory experience the entire time. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Wednesday in February and the remaining few tables filled up shortly after. Suggest arriving for dinner on the "early" side (6:30pm could be considered "late" for us American millennials 😂) to not have to wait. But it's certainly worth the wait if you have time! For the vegan, GF, food allergens baddies out there: they can accommodate. Just tell them when you arrive. There's even a card to prompt you on the table! We spoke English but I heard our server speak a couple languages.

A very small, charming restaurant where the owner still cooks himself. I've never eaten such good Thai food. It was truly a dream. If we're ever in Amsterdam again, we'll definitely eat there again.

Hi, I was here today and it was a-ma-zing! Staff is super nice and generous; I felt welcomed and treated with real grace! Won ton soup was EXACTLY what I was looking for - perfect combination of ingredients and the ideal level of spiciness; it was a heaven after a cold day near the canals. Pad Thai actually looks like if it was painted by Rembrandt - a work of art - and it tasted just perfect! The place itself is small, but with wonderful atmosphere - open kitchen and the feeling of family cooking; makes u feel like you really are in Thailand! You can easily forget that you are in Amsterdam. It is not just another Thai restaurant; it is truly unique! Thank You 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Very lovely food! The service is good, you get your food pretty quickly and the flavors have much depth. The ambiance is quite nice, the place is maybe small but it looks amazing and very cozy. Nice! Food was overall good, yet it was bit oily and lack of texture. Starter were not suitable for our taste, mains were tasty, yet they still have a room for improvement. Ordered the red coconut curry and pad Thai at mild. Both tasted great but they were overly spicy! I was really disappointed at the disproportionate ratio of rice to curry. They put about 6 spoons of rice and told us to ask for more when needed to only charge us more $$$. Staff is friendly and place is cute. We got the mango sticky rice which was good but I would get without peanuts. The black rice threw me off lol.

A hidden gem of the restaurant scene in Amsterdam. When I arrive to a new city I always check out restaurants where locals eat and when I glanced inside on a Tuesday evening I saw that there were only locals inside. That was a major green flag. The fact that they don’t have reservations is mind boggling and might change soon because they tend to fill up quickly and due to the nature of the place being small, plan ahead and come early. Food is delicious and made by a Thai guy and a couple of other Thai assistants. Reminds me of the food I had in Thailand and that says a lot. Enjoy!
