Worth it for the nice inside area

Got one of the tastiest cakes I've ever eaten; mango/coconut, and looked beautiful! Nice that you can even get a cake on Sunday.

Amazing place to enjoy a coffee and something to eat. They have pastries and sandwiches. I tried a latte macchiato and an almond croissant.

Over 9 euro for a tasteless coffee & cappuccino coming from a machine is extremely overpriced even for Amsterdam. Pastries don't look that good either. On the plus side, the lobby looks cozy and it's closely located to one of the best views in Amsterdam.

Horrible! Extremely rude and absolutely unprofessional service, dirty tables, and mediocre desserts.

Vientos fríos, puentes empapados y ni una sola rebanada de pan a las 2 de la tarde. ¿Quién necesita sustento cuando puedes tener el cálido abrazo de la decepción? El personal es tan encantador como un cubo de papilla fría. Una sonrisa petulante y un aire de superioridad mientras te dicen que la panadería no tiene pan. Puede tomar pasteles llenos de azúcar o ir al restaurante del hotel.  ¿Cómo te atreves a esperar pan en una panadería?   Bakkerij Westers debe haber sido bueno una vez, pero desafortunadamente, no puedo recomendarlo basado en el servicio que recibí recientemente.

Coffee comes straight out of machines, horrible. The croissant also tasted like it wasnt freshly baked.

He estado un par de veces en este lugar para conseguir postres para llevar a cenar con amigos y para mi cumpleaños. Todos los pasteles son increíbles. He probado el pastel de merengue de limón, el pastel de zanahoria y el pastel de chocolate blanco y frambuesa. ¡Todo el mundo siempre fue feliz! Además, tienen los mejores brownies que he probado, tan fudgy y cremosos. Los precios tampoco son tan caros como las otras panaderías del centro de la ciudad. Sin duda una de las mejores panaderías de la ciudad!

Large cappuccinos were 90% foam and our sandwiches were so poorly topped that I could almost see through the toppings. Shame. Nice location and service was excellent.

Located in the Jakarta Hotel - you can enter via the hotel or from the street by the bridge this cosy bakery serves smoothies, hot drinks, patisserie items and bread. I had a very nice almond croissant and oat latte.

It’s a weird mix of hotel lobby and cafe with a dash of bakery. Not bad, but also not very good - and the staff wasn’t really friendly.

I've been a regular customer for a few years and I loved it, but the management is keen on phasing out the menu entries that I like. Their most recent stunt was to redo the sandwiches offering and to get rid of the salmon sandwich that was my favorite. Coupled with the propensity of the current pastry chef to apply more sugar than common sense it makes it hard for me to continue visiting the place, nor can I recommend it anymore.

The place is beautiful! The environment to be quiet, read a book or chat with a loved one. The pastry is aesthetically very beautiful and delicious, just delicious! Don't expect amazing flavors or anything out of the ordinary. The service is excellent, and the coffee is from an automatic machine, therefore it is not the best quality but it is acceptable!

We couldn't choose so got different pastries. They were yummmmm and beautiful. Love the small ciabata. Only they were sold out at 12.30, so mid lunch time. But they made me a small sandwich. The tropical garden of the hotel is beautiful. Love that you can fill your own teabag.

Do you want an Asian holiday but can't go? Then, would you like to feel like you are in the tropical country of Indonesia in the center of Amsterdam? Then, without hesitation, you can come to Bakkerij Westers and pamper yourself with the incredible taste of your cake accompanied by a delicious coffee like me😉 At the end of the day, it was incredibly enjoyable to walk across the bridge under the magnificent city lights🥰

Nice bakery in Hotel Jakarta. Friendly staff and delicious pastries. Unfortunately, there was no piston espresso machine but a fully automatic one, so the coffee was less. Fortunately, the tea range was extensive. Definitely worth a visit

It's storming outside, but inside we're enjoying delicious coffee and delicious butternut squash in the tropical garden. The Jakarta hotel is made of wood, CLT and glulam. That gives such a good vibe, also acoustically. This is a wonderful place!

Nice bakery in beautiful hotel Jakarta. The range of pastries and bread is extensive and of good quality. It's a shame that the coffee comes out of the machine ready-made. I had a very mediocre flat white.

Net ff lekker lemontaartje gegeten met latte macchiato super lief personeel en kreeg ook 2 vorkjes omdat ik aan mijn man vroeg of we gingen delen😁 taartje was super lekker zelf de latte vond het leuk daar geeft mij inspiratie als amateur bakker om het ook thuis te proberen 😃

Broodjes zijn prijzig en om de een of andere reden is het niet mogelijk om voor een 'half broodje' een heel broodje in twee te snijden. Ik kwam er best vaak maar na een paar van dit soort onvriendelijke akkefietjes ben ik er wel klaar mee. Er werkt hier welgeteld één vriendelijk persoon. Van de rest weet ik echt niet wat ze daar doen.

The selection of pastries and sandwiches are good by 4 pm they were sold out of hot sandwiches. It was frustrated to ask for something to be told it was sold out, couldn't even get an iced coffee as no ice. It would be helpful for them to advertise what they do not have. The carrot cake was lovely. The staff not very unfriendly on this particular day

Located in Hotel Jakarta, you can enter it right from the sidewalk or from the lobby. I really think they made beautiful pastries and their breads also tasted great. We tried their fresh juice, coffee, some of their small cakes and grab some bread to go. It’s well priced compare to the food quality. Deserve a visit if you are around the area

A wide range of bakery products, all of an excellent quality, served with great coffee. If you miss breakfast at the Jakarta Hotel or need a snack, Westers is a great option. My personal favourite is the Blondie! As we had to depart for an early flight The Jakarta hotel offered a breakfast box for us to take away. The box included pastries and breads supplied by Westers as well as cheeses, meats and fruit. Delicious.

Best baguette in Amsterdam and excellent service. The bread is super good too as the smoothies and the chicken sandwich. The cakes are above Amsterdam average quality but not all same standard, the coffee could be made without an automatic machine but the quality of the beans is good. In general an awesome bakery above the Amsterdam average, we visit it every weekend and always receive the best service. - tip: book your baguette in advance.

Pricey but delicious bread. They also have loafs of bread for at home. Bread rolls, baguettes and pastries. Even small cakes. Nice decor, very green. Friendly, helpful staff. You can also sit there and have a coffee and sandwich or pastries.

Hier een mangotaart gegeten.... Man man man deze Bakker snapt het wel. Het melt in je mond en de korst is niet bunker hard en om maar te zwijgen over de vulling.Dit is wat je wilt.

It has become my go-to bakery and place to show my tourist friends. The bread is the best and the botanical garden right next to it always bring tropical Indonesian vibes. Try the warm loafs of bread. The pumpkin seed and corn breads are so good you could easily finish an entire loaf without anything on it. They used to have the best brownies in town but they changed them :( also the coffee could be better. Good place to work, they have good wifi.
